((Thread PL: 11 423 Heavy Weights active! Sensed PL: 2855.75))Gira flew around the Bamboo Forest in the silver leotard, cape, and white mask of her superhero costume, scanning the area for her target. It was imperative that she find it soon. The woman who asked for her help was rather distraught. What was her target? A small, grey kitten named Smoke. Gira was normally the Watcher of West Capitol, but her soft spot for animals, kittens especially, made it to where she couldn't ignore the woman when she called for help. Gira was beginning to regret it now, however. She had been looking for the past two hours and so far, she had seen no sign of the little fur ball. All she had was a name and description. Her target was grey with a split ear wearing a red collar that had a bell attached. Gira sighed. She hoped she could find the poor guy. Nightfall wasn't far away and there were things that were dangerous enough during the day. Night was a completely different story. At any rate, it was no place for a small, defenseless animal. "This is no good. I need to change up my tactics." Gira descended from the sky, landing in a clearing in the forest. She looked around the area real fast, but found no sign of her target. "Damn it." Gira groaned. She would have to search on foot. That was her best chance of noticing something so small. The hybrid got up and began to walk towards the forest to look for her quarry again. Water dripped off the woman’s body, as she tried to wring extra water from her long hair. Doing the best she could, the woman stood up straight and began drying herself with the towel she’d set aside. It had been a week since she’d returned from the afterlife; the familiar biting cold of water filled her with a sense of being truly alive. The woman pulled her now-dry clothes off the ground and began sliding them on, when a soft but strange sound pierced the air.
Meow!
The woman’s eyes widened in shock, as she finished yanking on her underwear and tucked the rest of her clothes under her arm. Whatever that had been, it hadn’t sounded happy. Shooting into the forest, the woman’s gaze darted to either side. When she entered the next clearing, she found 3 wolves circling a small, grey kitten. As she stopped, the woman simply focused her will forward. The three wolves immediately ran away with their tails in between their legs, afraid of the woman’s killing intent. The kitten balled up, unable to move until the woman let her aura drop. Then, the small kitten walked up to the woman, meowing loudly. The woman picked up the small animal, enjoying the purring as the kitten rubbed up against her chin and chest. It was then the woman noticed the presence in the forest; a weaker strength moving unsteadily through the huge forest. It was one she recognized, though; it was the hybrid from the criminal activity earlier that week. Holding the happy kitten, the woman began walking towards the presence she knew.
“It’s okay, Mr. Mc-Purrs-Alot. We’ll get you something nice to eat, make sure you’re warm and happy.” She smiled happily, completely forgetting the fact she was still dressed only in her underwear.

As Gira moved further into the forest, she sensed a strong and familiar energy. It was Tulip, that much she knew. The hybrid wondered what she was doing out here. Gira changed direction towards where she sensed the energy. Perhaps the Super Saiyan knew where Smoke was too. The hybrid hoped so. This search had gone on long enough. As Gira moved through the forest towards Tulip's energy, she noticed that Tulip was moving towards her. So she had been detected then. Unsurprising if she could sense energy.
The paths of the two eventually met at a narrow trail that ran along a river. Gira waved at the woman from a distance, but froze when she got close enough. Her cheeks went crimson at the realization that Tulip was dressed in nothing but her underwear. She covered her eyes in embarrassment. "U-Um... h-hello there!" Was all she could say with her shaky voice. Gira didn't know if the woman just forgot her clothes or if she had some secret hobby of hiking in her underwear. Either way, the hybrid was regretting this awkward situation.

As Tulip stopped on the path, the kitten in her arms purring happily, she noticed the power source was extremely close. Glancing up, she saw the young girl standing down the trail from her. The woman nodded in the girl’s direction, before looking closer and realizing the girl was blushing as she stuttered a greeting. Glancing down, the woman realized she was still standing in her underwear. A sigh slipped past her lips, before the woman walked closer and held out the kitten to the girl. “Here, hold Mister Mc-Purrs-Alot while I get dressed. I got caught up in his adorable presence and forgot to make myself presentable.” When the girl took the cat, Tulip would pull the clothes out from under her arm. Flicking the pants out, she’d slip them on easily and then pull on her black t-shirt. It wasn’t attire she was used to; after joining the Blue Banner Army, the woman had realized she’d needed more clothes. Wearing the same tank-top, pants, and jacket for weeks at a time would look extremely bad in the eyes of the public, regardless of the quality of said-clothing. Adjusting her shirt again, the woman would glance towards the girl and muse for a moment. Crossing her arms and propping her chin up with her hand, the woman muttered softly. “I swear I heard your name during the incident. But I can’t recall it to save my life. You are?”

Gira uncovered her eyes when Tulip asked her to hold the kitten. "Mister Mc-Purrs-a... wha?" Gira took the kitten and looked down at it. Unbelievable... could it be? The red collar and the little silver bell confirmed that the little grey kitten was who the hybrid thought it was. "Smoke!" She cried out in joy, lifting the kitten up in the air. "Finally found you!" Gira laughed and hugged the kitten. The girl hadn't been celebrating for too long when Tulip spoke to her again. Now that she was decent, Gira looked at her.
It seemed she remembered her from awhile back when Jala tried to take over part of the earth. "Oh, yeah. That's me." She used her free hand to remove her mask. Tulip had already seen her without it, so it wasn't a big deal to her. "I'm Gira. Good to see you again, Miss..." Gira realized at that moment that she never caught Tulip's name either. "Um... I guess I can't remember your name either." She chuckled nervously. Gira had only known Tulip as "the girl Super Saiyan" ever since they met and the half-Saiyan witnessed her transformation.
Ever since then, she had been thinking about that form. Its power was undeniable. Gira had never felt anything like Tulip and Pieter's energy before. She wasn't even aware someone that powerful existed. While she normally would have been excited, at the time, she was almost paralyzed with the fear and the weight of their power. Now, fear had fled and Gira was now working towards obtaining that form herself. She just assumed it was going to be out of her reach forever, but now she knew better. She could obtain this power for her own. Perhaps then she would be better equipped to protect the people and the planet she loved.

As the woman slid her tee-shirt on over her sports bra, she heard the younger girl speak up. Something about the kitten? Glancing over, she watched as the girl checked the collar and squealed in delight. Or at least that’s what the young woman saw. When Tulip was done, the young woman waited for the girl to speak. It wasn’t until the girl removed her mask that Tulip saw her cute glasses and eyes. The woman suppressed the urge to snatch them away, as the girl introduced herself as ‘Gira’. Then she admitted she couldn’t remember Tulip’s name either.
“Well, that’s easily remedied! Gira, my name is Tulip! I’m a fighter at heart that defends those less fortunate! With my new job, that defense stretched from those I can see with my eyes to any of the innocent lives on this amazing planet! Then again...if I’m trying to be a hero, I’ll need a nickname or something equally valid. You have any ideas?” The young woman would introduce herself happily, bringing her fist up to her chest with pride. Then she would stop and muse for a bit as she reached the end, before turning towards Gira. The young woman would sigh and mutter. “You know what, it’s getting late and dark out here. Want to go talk at my camp? The kitten could use some food; I’m sure Sir Mc-Purrs-Alot could use the warmth of a fire and a nice place to sleep after his trek into the great unknown.”
The young woman would step forward, grinning at the little kitten who meowed in response. She would coo at the smaller animal and scratch its chin softly, enjoying the happiness of the smaller animal. Then her gaze would go up to Gira, as the woman grinned at the girl and waited for her reply.

Gira's eyes widened when Tulip mentioned how she was trying to be a hero. A future ally in her fight for justice, perhaps? The teen liked that Tulip had a good heart. Or seemed to, anyway. Maybe they could be friends? Gira had some ideas for nicknames, but in all honesty, she wasn't good at that stuff. Her current superhero name was pretty bland. She thought about changing it, but that was what the people knew her by. At this point, changing it would be more trouble than it was worth. The teen half-Saiyan was about to voice some of her ideas when Tulip suggested that they go back to her camp.
That was probably a good idea. She was pretty cold, so she could only imagine how the little kitten felt. From what that woman told her, he had been missing since this morning. Gira nodded in agreement finally. "Yeah! That's a good idea. After this little guy gets some rest, i'll have to take him back to his owner, though. She is the one that asked me for help to find him." In all honesty, Gira wanted to talk to Tulip alone anyway. She hadn't gotten the chance to before and she had all sorts of questions. Some time to talk might do them some good. "Well then, after you." Gira smiled back at her fellow hybrid.

“Sounds good. You seem stronger than the average person; I’m assuming you can fly?” The woman would look the girl over again, before nodding. She’d point over her shoulders towards the forest, before motioning upwards. “It’s only a couple miles that way, but it would take two minutes flying rather than twenty minutes walking. I don’t want to run and make Sir Mc-Purrs-Alot sick.”
The woman smiled at the kitten, who was balled up in Gira’s arm. She would hop upwards, hovering in the air, before motioning for Gira to follow behind. Ascending rapidly, the woman would ensure her movement, though fast, was smooth to ensure the cat and girl would have no trouble in following her. From overhead looking down, the girl would be able to see a slight clearing only a few miles away, just like Tulip had said. There was a fire-pit in the center, while a river ran by the side. Descending with the same smooth speed, the young woman would land next to the fire-pit. Thrusting one hand to the side, six swords would slam through a nearby tree, cutting through the huge trunk easily. If investigated, the tree would prove dead, having aged beyond its years. As it started falling, the woman walked forward, easily catching the huge trunk with one arm. A large claymore formed in her grasp, as she flicked the trunk into the air and began cutting the tree into pieces. Knives shot through the air behind her, ensuring the smaller branches didn’t reach the younger girl and her precious cargo.
Slamming the claymore into the earth, the young woman wiped a bead of sweat from her brow and surveyed her work; what had been a huge, rotting tree less than a minute ago was now a pile of firewood, albeit not perfectly cut. Grabbing two of the larger logs along with a bit of the kindling scattered around, the woman walked over to the pit and tossed the wood inside. Kneeling next to it, she struck two smaller blades together to ignite the kindling. Soon a fire burned in the small pit, as the woman rose to her feet.
“There you go, Gira. Sorry about the wait. I’ll go get us some fish really quick; make sure the kitten stays warm.” With a soft smile, the woman would turn towards the lake and begin walking towards it.
OOC: Sorry about not waiting for a reply to the 'Can you fly' question in this post; I read your techs, and saw you could. Hopefully in your post you can work around that. Let's continue having fun, okay!

When Gira was asked if she could fly, she nodded enthusiastically and pet the kitten gently. When Tulip took off, Gira followed along behind her, holding the kitten in her arms. a few minutes later, the pair landed at Tulip's camp near her fire pit. Gira looked around the area. It seemed Tulip had everything she needed here. That was good. She'd offer up her place for Tulip to crash if she lived alone, but her mom wasn't even supposed to know that she was interacting with strong people.
While she didn't care much anymore if others knew who she was and what she was doing, her classmates and her mother especially were exceptions. Her mother was the main issue. If she caught wind of even half of the stuff Gira has done, the hybrid would be grounded until she had grandchildren. When Tulip began to cut up wood for the fire, Gira watched in awe. She had never seen a technique like that before. Materializing a sword out of thin air? That was so cool. She had to figure that one out sometime. When Tulip got the fire going and announced that she was going to catch them dinner, Gira nodded. "Right. I'll look after our little friend here."
When her companion left, Gira sat down with the kitten and began humming softly to the little fur ball in her arms while it slept. The teen hybrid really loved kittens. No matter how rough of a day she had, the cuddly nature of a little kitten could brighten everything up. She wished her mom wasn't allergic so she could bring one home.
[OOC] It's all good fam. I can work around it. But yeah, let's! ^^]

After getting Gira’s response, the young woman turned towards the lake. Stretching her ki sensing out across the huge body of water, the woman identified five tiny flames of life. Throwing one hand out over the lake, five blades of silver flew outwards and down, sending up five splashes at the same time. All of the blades flew back to the woman, each with a fish stabbed on it. As she walked back towards the fire, the woman began gutting the fish methodically. Sitting down across from the girl and kitten, the woman quickly set about finishing her work. Spearing all but one fish on sticks, the woman set them up on the rock next to the fire-pit to begin roasting. On the last fish, the hybrid took extra time to ensure the skeleton was fully removed and the scales were off. The ample meat left over the woman tossed to Gira, motioning for her to feed it to the kitten.
“So, tell me a bit about yourself, Gira. What do you do on this lovely place we call home? You seem too young for a normal career; though when I was your age, I had already won my planet’s martial arts tournament.” The young woman grinned at the girl seated across from her, before checking the fish to ensure none had burned in the time it took her to prepare the kitten’s meal.

Gira watched with interest as Tulip used her summoned blades to spear their dinner in the water. She never thought to use her ki like that before. She'd have to figure that move out one of these days. When Tulip finished gutting and cleaning the fish, she tossed one of them to Gira. The hybrid caught it and began to feed it to the little kitten bit by bit. While waiting for their meal, the two conversed. Tulip wanted to know more about her, and honestly, Gira wanted to know more about Tulip.
"Well, I go to high school. Live with my mom. I wanted to go to college after I graduated, but lately, I dunno. Since I started fighting, i've wanted to do that more. I haven't won any tournaments yet, though. I haven't even won a fight with someone who could even come close to my strength. Makes me wonder what i'm doing wrong." Gira fed the kitten as she spoke. "What about you? I mean, I know you're in the army from our last meeting, but what do you do there?"

The young woman nodded while listening to the young girl’s speech. She rotated the fish to ensure none burned, while keeping a soft gaze on Gira as the girl explained her situation. Tulip could relate to the younger hybrid, having lived with her own mother on Woatera all those months ago. College...had been discussed, but the woman had declined scholarships offered to her in deference to training her rough talent for martial arts. When the young girl mentioned she wanted to continue fighting, to pursue her own strength and talents. The young woman smiled as the girl looked up at her, asking for Tulip’s own story.
“My job in the Blue Banner Army is simple; I take on evil that the average officer can’t. Space weaponry, ki-enhanced individuals, demons from another dimension...if it’s something that threatens the peace and lives of those living happily on this planet, it’s judged by the hands of someone strong enough to bring absolute peace. Anyway…” The young woman smirked and set the cooking fish to the side. Looking across the small fire at the younger girl, Tulip spoke on a different matter. “I’ll be honest, Gira. Just a little over a year ago, I was weaker than you are right now. Through training and the experiences I amassed here on Earth, I’ve grown more than a hundred times stronger. All it takes is a goal and a dream. And if yours is something as lofty as winning the World Tournament...it’d never hurt to keep aspiring towards the top.”
Holding out her hand, the woman grinned and waited for the girl to take it. The woman had been on Earth for a long time; meeting Gira, a hybrid much like herself, had been a first. There was a genuine smile on the woman’s face, as she motioned for Gira to take her hand.
“Let’s train together, Gira. Together, we’ll get strong enough to go to the World Tournament and win it. WHo knows; I might even get to face you at the end. We’ll train you to win, until every fight you get in is a victory for you. It’s achievable, with enough motivation.”

"Take on... evil?" Seemed right up her alley. Gira never really had much of a desire to join the army though. Something about military life just didn't seem to jive with her. Not to mention she wasn't even supposed to be fighting in the first place. Gira then listened intently as Tulip told her story. Apparently, just a short year ago, she was't as strong as she was now. In fact, she was even weaker than her. The hybrid found that hard to believe. This Super Saiyan woman was weaker than her a year ago? It made her wonder where she was headed.
The thought was more than a little exciting. was that really all it took? Just a goal and a dream? If that was the case, she'd chase her dream down with everything she had. Gira thought about the potential end of the next Tenkaichi Budokai, her and Tulip in the final round, this conversation here coming full circle. She wanted that to happen. With Tulip's words of encouragement, the girl believed that maybe it indeed could. With a smile, Gira took the other hybrid's hand and nodded. "Yeah. Let's go together, all the way to the realm of champions."
Gira grinned and shook her friend's hand. It was strange, when the half-Saiyan first met this woman, she didn't expect when they first met that they would be here now, having this conversation. Now, she had a new friend. Not just a friend, a training partner. Gira was convinced that together, they could reach heights never seen before. Speaking of, Gira's smile changed to a look of seriousness. "I... want to be like you. A Super Saiyan. I've got a lot that I need to protect." Gira looked completely serious. Mentioning that she never won a fair fight before really put into perspective just how weak she was. If someone strong came to threaten Earth, she wouldn't be able to help. She would have to leave her fate and the fate of those she loved in the hands of Vi-Poi and his army.
He could handle it, Gira was sure. She heard the phrase "strongest in the universe" thrown around before when Earth's ruler was the topic of conversation. True or not, he had quite the reputation. Still, she didn't want to be forced to sit back and let others protect what she loved. She wanted to be the one doing the protecting.

The young woman grinned as the younger hybrid took her hand and shook it, agreeing enthusiastically. The young woman enjoyed the feeling of earning a new friend and companion, while at the same time acknowledging the girl’s own tenacity in agreeing to pursue strength alongside the woman. When Gira’s happy gaze shifted to a more serious one, the woman took careful note of what Gira said next. “I...want to be like you. A Super Saiyan. I’ve got a lot that I need to protect.” Her tone, despite the level of steel in it, made the young woman worry. Tulip saw far too much of herself mirrored in this girl; though in her case, it hadn’t been a ‘Super Saiyan’ that she’d been aspiring towards. She thought back on her own dream, a lofty shadow she’d chased since the day she’d left Woatera all those months ago. But…’like you’? The young woman pulled her hand away and began giggling softly, before laughing loudly. If the girl looked offended, the woman would wave her away and smile softly. “I’m sorry, Gira. I see far too much of myself reflected in those words of yours. There’s no need to be like me; I’ve done my fair share of stupid things in the past, which led me to the place I currently stand. You shouldn’t ever try to be ‘someone’ you’re not. Try to be the very best you can be...in order to get that person you respect so much to acknowledge you as an equal.” Her gaze would turn soft and melancholic, as her gaze fell on the lake next to them. The woman would take a slow breath and look back at the fish. Nodding in satisfaction, she pulled the five fish off the fire. Holding out two sticks towards the girl, the woman would motion for her to take them. Taking a bite out of one she held in her other hand, the woman would roll the piping hot meat around in her mouth a few times to keep it from burning her. Swallowing the still hot bite, the woman grinned and spoke again. “This is probably the best fish I’ve made yet; not even burned a bit, surprisingly enough! Better eat it while it’s hot, though; I don’t have any seasonings in my things, which makes for a rather bland dish. But, for calorie-purposes, the fish makes a rather healthy meal. That, on top of all of my exercise, is why I can hold this amazing figure.”

Gira looked at Tulip in confusion as she laughed at what she said. She elaborated soon, however. It seemed Gira reminded the older hybrid a lot of herself. She told Gira that there was no need to be like her. She heard that before from her boxing coach. "Find your own way" was what he told her. He meant it more along the lines of finding her own style and not concerning herself with what the best fighters were doing, but it was applicable here too. The more she thought about it, her coach gave her a lot of useful advice. She was only just now realizing it. At Tulip's words, however, Gira nodded.
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." Gira smiled again at Tulip. She noticed her friend's melancholic look, however, wondering what she could possibly be thinking about. Before she could ask, Tulip got their dinner off of the fire, offering her two of the fish. The hybrid took it, giving Tulip a thank you before chowing down. "MM! MM! Hot!" Gira breathed heavily to cool the food down and swallowed the bite as quickly as possible. "Mmm... delicious!" With that, Gira finished both of the fish in no time. "Yum!" She tossed the two sticks in the fire. "That was good. Thanks a lot." Tulip mentioning her figure made Gira think about her own eating habits.
She didn't have a bad figure or anything like that. She actually had quite a bit of lean muscle. She exercised quite a bit, but she honestly ate like someone her age would. Gira liked food and lots of it. Thankfully, due to her half-Saiyan metabolism and copious amounts of exercise, she managed to keep her figure in fighting shape. "I do boxing in high school. I used to do track, but I dropped it after I became a superhero so i'd have more time for crime fighting and the like."
The half-Saiyan heard a soft "mew" and looked down to see the kitten pawing at the last bite of fish in her hand. Gira had been so caught up in the conversation that she forgot about feeding the kitten. The teen hybrid giggled slightly and fed the kitten the rest of the fish.
