Sax covered their mouth in surprise. They didn't mean to have Rhytid almost scorch his tongue. "Crap, sorry!" The sputtered, clearly embarrassed. "No need to explain gratitude. Its felt and acted upon, thats how it is." With more wisdom offered to their fellow protector, the lanky Namekian turned their attention to their uncle Helix once more.
"Indeed, but it is nothing short of an honor. Father spoke quite highly of you... Hes sentimental when he wants to be. Heheh~" Sax snorted and then bowed slightly to Helix. "Lo, I am Saxophone; son of Xylo, twin hatch brother of Bassoon." A comical bead of sweat came down the side of Sax's face. "You'll know who he is when you see him. He'd probably eat the door or something. Make no mistake though!" In an instant their expression became rather serious. "He means well, and I care for him deeply."
Their hardened expression lessened slightly, but as the topic turned to Xylo's actions. His war path and intent to smash the Saiyan Solar Empire completely wasn't something Sax misunderstood, but that didn't mean they approved of it. Surely Helix and Rhytid had more to their opinions than this. They weren't of the Mazoku caste and didn't understand much of their plight. On the other hand, Sax didn't understand much of the issues that held the other two clans in their slimy grasp. "No, Uncle. I understand. In fact I agree." Sax began, holding their arms behind small of their back. "One Saiyan in particular was one I held an issue with; Mayze." Venom and deep, seething rage near enough smothered that name when it was spoken. "The rest? Not so much. Riku is the prime example of a Saiyan I hold a lot of respect for, despite not having formally met him I have seen the result of his presence here on Namek. Even Namorel's, as short as it was." Sax nodded, confident in their words. "So speak freely. I see no sense in barring you two from that. I do however pre-emptively apologize should I react in a less than pleasant manner at any point as this is a sensitive topic for me."

The prophet couldn't hold back a grin as Sax told him about Xylo's kind words. The old ass had some warmth in him yet. Sax introduced himself, and Helix made a point to remember his name. He also spoke about his twin brother Bassoon, who Helix couldn't say he'd met. "It is a pleasure to become acquainted," the dragon caste chimed.
As Rhytid spoke, Helix had his chin in his hand, the other one clasping the cup of tea. After watching Rhytid drink, Helix finished off the last sip, and set it down. The warrior caste was right, and Helix had just recently spoken to Xylo about that very concern.
"Namek is certainly at danger. Xylo's war is widespread now, and is very likely to attract destruction. I have a certain level of mystical strength but— There is only so much that can be done before I would be overwhelmed. Few other dragon castes possess mystical power in this manner, and as for the warrior caste…"
Helix sighed. "It is large in number but few in strength."
He turned back to Sax, "Of course, there are saiyans of great valor. Personally, I am aquatinted with a rough around the edges type named Kizuki. But as a whole, we must be wary of the saiyan empire."
Helix stood, turning towards the window. He longed for the breeze, and his thoughts were jumbled. Could he pull together the castes with these two like minded youths?
"I must retreat to my garden to meditate," the prophet turned back to the younger namekians and set down his cup. "I'm terribly sorry to cut off our meeting so shortly— If either of you would like to join me, you are more than welcome."

It was quite weird to see the unnecessarily tall Namekian speak about Xylo like that. So positive, claiming he was capable of being sentimental...Rhytid doubted it, to be brutally honest. But the fact that his own son spoke of him like this was all there was to be said, no one would know Xylo better than his own kids, after all. The Warrior Namekian just found it a bitter pill to swallow, as he had only heard negative things about Xylo for as long as he could remember.
He still couldn't quite believe Sax, as much as it pained him. He simply had to see Xylo's good traits with his own eyes, and he figured it wouldn't be long until the two finally met, with what Rhytid was planning for his future.
Nevertheless, he remained quiet while Sax spoke, not really able to muster up the strength to speak about the Mazoku lord. It'd just be regurgitated opinions of things he's said before, or baseless assumptions he heard from fellow clansman and villagers. The fact that Helix was Sax's uncle, in reality, was also still wracking his brain, and it was a lot of information to suddenly swallow and process...
...He wasn't quite sure what he was thinking, really.
They quickly spoke of the Saiyans, though, and his thoughts on them. Again, Rhytid didn't have much positive to say, except for one particular Saiyan. ''I can't say I trust the lot...Riku's an exception, he's clearly proven himself toward us. Its just that...I have a hard time trusting outsiders when it comes to our planet...'' Rhytid's tone became distant, before he shook his head a bit, letting out a sputtered sigh. ''I guess that's justifiable though, with what's happened to us so often...''
The comment about the Warrior Caste's weakness from the Guru stung like a knife. The truth hurt, though, and he couldn't deny it himself. With what's been discussed here, Rhytid felt the need to strengthen himself and as many clansman as he could find- just to make sure they get that extra bit of confidence.
And so Rhytid declined Helix's offer, as he stated that he needed to meditate on all of this. With a shake of his head, Rhytid stood up from the table, staring at his empty teacup. ''I'll also need to excuse myself. There's a LOT I need to think over- I'm sure you two understand.'' Rhytid said with the faintest of smiles, as he pushed the chair toward the table. ''Besides, I should train with some clansman. We'll need every bit of strength we can muster for what's to come.'' While his tone was friendly, it was obviously holding back some anxiety and stress.
He let out a quick sigh, and nodded toward both Sax, as well as Helix. ''It's been great to finally meet with you, Guru Helix. And, Sax, if you ever need my help for something, just let me know.'' He smiled toward the two, before walking to the door of Helix's room, gazing over his shoulder one last time with an understanding nod.
''We'll keep in touch!''

The lanky Namekian youth bowed politely to their uncle. "That it is indeed." To their relief, Helix and Rhytid spoke plainly without seeing their views on these things as infallible concrete facts. At varying levels, both of them demonstrated the greater potential to find clarity and look beyond one's species to see the individual; citing examples such as Riku and Kizuki; one of Xylo's acquaintances. "Hmm. I think I've heard father mention that name once or twice in a positive light. Perhaps one day I will meet them personally."
Though the logic regarding caution in dealing with the SSE was sound, Sax couldn't help but feel that it didn't quite resonate with them properly. In Sax's mind, mass condemnation of the loud and overbearing minority without concern for the quiet, scared and innocent majority was backwards and wrong. "Fortunately, I don't see your collective apprehension as baseless." Sax nodded to Rhytid and Helix. "Therefore-- in this case-- I will defer to your judgement on this topic as a whole until I can decipher it fully for myself."
Sax moved over in order to allow Rhytid to pass towards the door. "Likewise, Rhytid. If you find anyone that has aligned themselves with the Mazoku Dominion doing anything suspicious or morally questionable; don't hesitate to see me out. I will deal with them as I deem appropriate." There was fire in that statement, making it readily obvious that Sax has had to deal with some rowdy or irksome individuals in the past. "Best of luck to you both, you have my support. Now, since we are pretty much done here for the moment; I should probably be on my way as well. My personal detachment should have something to report by now as is." Sax waved to their uncle and gave them a warm smile as they departed alongside Rhytid, before going their separate ways; with Sax going off towards Castle Mazoku.
