The coffee they sell at Starcups are a complete joke, Cel'Daren caught himself thinking as he meandered down the sidewalk of Eartern City, sky scrapers towering up into the atmosphere so high that some of them required an oxygen mask to breathe comfortably outside. The sun was of course half hidden by these behemoth metal towers, bathing most of the streets in shade, but no one was going to complain today. It had been a rather hot week altogether, and the temperature in cities was always a bit higher than in the country due to just how many people and machines were running through them. So it was a scorcher of a day despite being only Spring, and people had been falling out left, right, and center due to heat stroke. Cel'Daren himself was pretty resistant to the heat, but it was enough to put even him in a grumpy mood, and the Starcups he had just passed by smelled...not good for a coffee shop.
Sighing to himself Cel'Daren decided to keep moving, ignoring the heat as best he could. He had a job to do today anyway, and he needed to keep himself focused. Cel'Daren had done work for the Blue Banner Army before, back when he was named Katsu Yuda, and he still had his own position within the science corp of the BBA, as well as some contacts for mercenary work. Research funding might possibly be made to grow on trees but until Cel'Daren managed to engineer such a lucrative crop he had to go out and get funding another way. The jobs from the BBA were almost always simple, to the point, and lucrative, especially since Cel'Daren could cut through all the bureaucracy and taxes by claiming it as being used for research funding. This next job was supposed to be more of the same. Apparently there was an illegal fighting ring that had cropped up in East City who had been a bit careless in advertising and now the BBA wanted it shut down. Cel'Daren took the job over others because it would be a way to test the augmented physique he had gained from his experiments, and he needed to buy certain goods in East City anyway!
Of course he hadn't yet found the exact location of the Fighting Ring just yet, and had been wandering around the city just trying to enjoy himself in spite of the heat, but it was quickly becoming intolerable even for him, and he decided that it was time to get a cold beverage in him before he overheated. If the Doctor keels over from Heatstroke who is supposed to treat others? Making his way to an outdoor Deli Cel'Daren would order some cold cut sandwiches, four of them, and a large sports drink. He stayed away from the energy drinks and soft drinks; those things tried to murder your kidneys and liver.
Easing himself into one of the seating arrangements set outside the Deli for customers Cel'Daren started downing his food and drink in a very quick manner, almost alarmingly so, but without seeming sloppy; just ravenous. In the course of about three minutes two of his four sandwiches had been down as had a third of his sports drink. Feeling better already Cel'Daren was about to bite into his third snadwich when he noticed that a larger than average Ki signature was nearby. Looking up from his food Cel'Daren peered around the semi-crowded area, looking for whoever it was that had alerted his senses. Not out of wariness or alarm, but just curiosity. It was always nice to meet someone interesting..

Landing on the small patio outside the apartment, the young hybrid adjusted her jacket slightly and double-checked the cake she held in one hand. Nodding once after ensuring everything was in place, the woman grabbed the knob and yanked the door open. Stepping into the apartment, the woman thrust her free hand up and shouted loudly. “I’m home, Alex! Welcome me back with warm food and a hot bath!” There was only silence, followed by the sound of running. Her emerald gaze swept the living-room, quickly confirming that everything had been ransacked. A single figure sprinted down the hallway connecting all the rooms together. The woman set the cake down on the sofa, before sprinting into the hallway after the figure. The front door was open to the inside of the huge apartment complex. A shadow disappeared around the corner, and the woman set off in pursuit. If you’re running, you’re clearly not good! I’ll find out what happened to Alex! Darting into the pathway that ran along the outside of the individual apartments, the woman’s gaze shot to either side. There was nothing, despite the paths being the only way to reach the staircases that led further down. This was the tenth floor; no way an ordinary man jumped directly off the edge. She would’ve felt the ki signature of an individual capable of that. Slowly turning around to reassess the damage within the apartment, Tulip found herself facing a man in the hallway leading back into the apartment. On his shoulder was a metal tube. Oh wait, is that a rocket laun- With a click, the propellant within the rocket ignited, sending the explosive projectile soaring at the woman. Silver lightning darted across her jacket and hair, as the woman brought one hand forward to deflect the dumb weapon. As her hand shot forward, an audible beep sounded from the rocket. Wait, what was tha- BOOM!
Tulip was hurled backwards off the balcony, wincing from the heat and fumes of the explosion. People were already sprinting out of their apartments to see what the deal was. Through her blurred vision, the woman watched in anger and rage as the figure she’d seen slipped out of a different room and ran back into the ruined apartment. She just let her body slam into the concrete far below, shattering the earth and rock from the impact. Guards ran up to check her physical condition, but the woman waved them away as she sat up and dusted her jacket off. Rising to her feet and cracking her neck, the woman turned to head into town. She needed to find some form of criminal activity, to ascertain the exact reason why Alex had his apartment raided. Walking down the busy street with her Starcups Chai in hand, the woman paused to glare up at the sun. After her death, the fight scene had been reactivated here in East City. Unfortunately, anyone who might’ve been a recruiter for those games had already been briefed about the crazy lady who didn’t understand business and prize-fighting. Tulip sighed again, taking another sip of her cold Chai. Her eyes narrowed as someone way stronger than the average individual brushed past her. A young man from the appearance of it. She’d intentionally suppressed her ki almost all the way, taking a page out of Durian’s book to hide in plain sight. Watching as the man walked into a cafe nearby, the woman grinned and followed after him. A suppressed click filled the air, and the woman’s hand shot out instinctively. Her gaze dropped to see what she’d caught; a single, lead bullet rested in her palm, while her Chai latte leaked from the hole in the side. The woman smiled slightly, realizing she’d already caught the attention of the people she needed. Walking into the deli ( the woman had misidentified the place earlier!), the young hybrid sat down across from the man. Her ki suddenly spiked, revealing her true strength to the man across from her. Crossing her legs, setting her leaking Chai tea on the table, and resting both of her hands on her knee, the woman grinned and spoke firmly. “Do you know how to dodge bullets? Or stop them for that matter? This place is about to become really bad, really soon. If you can’t...please evacuate the citizens before it’s too late.”

The woman who approached Cel'Daren as he was eating his meal wasn't fully human, he could tell. His knowledge of anatomy of most galactic sentients was very refined, and he could tell by her thick black hair, by the shape of her facial bone structure, and even by the way she held herself that she was a Human/Saiyan Hybrid, no tail required. Also, he didn't need the powerful level of ki she possessed to tell she was a fighter as well. Her stances was full of the confidence Cel'Daren had seen in experienced combatants the world over and beyond, and her trim and fit muscle structure spoke of someone who was very active. He noted that her hands were residence of callouses, their locations and arrangement hinting that she used a weapon in combat, most likely a longsword of some description. Her body was petite, tight, and well-shaped, and her ki hinted that she was strong-willed and full of purpose.
Thus Cel'Daren thought the woman looked rather attractive, and as she approached he would look into her eyes, and she would be able to see the look of a man looking at a woman, although Cel'Daren did not leer or act ungentlemanly. What beautiful green eyes she has. Cel'Daren would already be smiling somewhat as she reached his table, and he looked to her hand as she spoke of being able to dodge or stop gunfire. He saw that she was holding a small caliber bullet in her fingers, simple lead. Given that he with his superhuman level of hearing didn't hear it over the crowd it had obviously been fired from a long distance or else fired at very short range from a weapon with advanced suppressor attached. The caliber of the bullet and the lack of a steel jacket put the nix on long distance however, as lead bullets deformed in their flight and would lose energy over a long distance, preventing proper aim. Thus, a suppressed short range pistol fired from a crowd with almost no one the wiser, the reflexes of their intended victim being the only reason she wasn't bleeding on the ground. This was the work of professionally competent people.
With that moment of thought rolling around in his head Cel'Daren would check his datapad very quickly for any bounty that might be placed on this Hybrid's head, finding none that would warrant such behavior by the BBA, meaning it was a team of Fixers from the Underground or some other illegal activity. Perfect. This could be a nice shortcut right to the people Cel'Daren was after.
Standing up from his seat Cel'Daren would offer Tulip his hand for a handshake, and she would be able to note both the confidence in his stance in spite of her power and the fact that he was fifteen inches taller than her. ”I believe I can help, actually. Name's Cel'Daren Mithanil. Bio-Engineer with the BBA. We'll talk more later. First we should apprehend the Hitmen trying to kill you, then we can talk about a date, yes?”
Having voiced his support to Tulip he would beckon with his left hand, the pistol that had been raised by an utterly generic looking man thirty meters away was suddenly ripped from his grasp and disassembled as it flew through the air, landing in pieces on the table Mithanil had been eating at. A single bullet, this one intact, rolled off the table and fell upward into his hand, and he looked the ammo over for a moment before letting it drop again. ”I'll suppress their weaponry. You deal with them directly.”
Cel'Daren's eyes would focus, several people, these folks more obvious Hitmen by just how professionally they moved and how intently they were focusing on him and Tulip now. Weaponry was raised, suppressed pistols and semi-auto rifles and one guy even raised a sleek looking portable Mass Driver, also known as a Railgun. Cel'Daren had to clap his hands at that last one, a telekinetic burst of energy simply smashing the device into scrap metal. He could crush the weapon easily, but if the man had gotten a shot off he wouldn't have been able to intercept a bullet moving fifty times the speed of sound. The rest of the weaponry however was complete child's play to Cel'Daren, a wave of his hand enough to wrench weaponry from hands, jam up the ammo, or even disassemble the weapon altogether. It was however up to Tulip to take down the people themselves. Cel'Daren was a designated Non-Combatant!
Technique Used: Technique Name: Telekinesis Technique Type: Passive Technique Tier: UT1 Technique Description: By studying the Higgs Field (The theoretical property of the universe that is responsible for gravity) Cel'Daren has learned how to make localized gravity fields in order to manipulate objects for various effects. At this level Cel'Daren can "lift" a total mass equal to 1/3rd his Power Level, whether it's an object or creature.
