Greeve still couldn't believe his luck. He had somehow managed to get away from the three who had been escorting him to this 'Maeve' individual. Considering their strength in comparison to his own, especially the saiyan, it would be something those 'heroes' would find embarrassing for a long time to come. Serves them right, especially that saiyan. The man had been to the afterlife and had thrown his judgement aside to return here. All for some selfish desire for life. At least Greeve came back to finish his task. The saiyan was just blasphemous.
But for now, Greeve had to reconsider his strategy. If he continued to go around indiscriminately killing people, those heroes would be back, and at his current level he couldn't fight them off. But he couldn't simply give up his quest. That would be a great injustice to the universe at large.
And that's when it hit him. The entire universe was his target, not just Earth. So why not start on something small? Head somewhere else to build up his strength, and increase the soul count for the afterlife. Then, once he was stronger, he could come back and finish up with Earth. Sounded like a sound strategy.
And so here Greeve was, sitting out in the middle of the desert. No worries about anyone coming to interupt him. But how was he going to get to another planet? He didn't exactly have a ship or anything of the sort. Greeve tilted his head in thought. He could perhaps just steal one. But that might attract unwanted attention.
It was then that he noticed something, half buried in the sand. Curiosity took hold as he floated down to investigate. It was metallic and spherical, albeit a little banged up. Something in the back of Greeve's mind clicked. This was a Saiyan space pod. Probably one of the ones that crashed down on the planet during the Saiyan invasion. reeve couldn't help but smirk. This was perfect, just what he needed.
With a little effort, he pulled the hatch open and climbed inside. The interior seemed relatively undamaged, so it should be able to fly. Pulling the hatch closed, Greeve fiddled with the controls, trying to activate the pod. Suddenly, the pod sprung to life, lights flickering on and a destination randomly being put in. Greeve didn't mind. He just needed to be anywhere other than Earth. He glanced at the display, seeing what planet they were heading for.
Yardrat. Sounded nice and out of the way. And if the Saiyans were coming here, then there no doubt would be life for him to liberate. Greeve sat back in the seat, a smirk on his face as the pod began to rise up from the sand. Then, suddenly, the pod shot straight up into the sky, heading towards its destination with its deadly cargo.
A dark time for Yardrat was approaching.
