When was the last time Cipher had done anything like this? Just go out into the desert in search for artifacts. After all, that was one of the goals of the BBA, to search out for magical artifacts. He remembered that he used to do this during his earlier years in KAOS, and he was finding it oddly relaxing. No having to deal with people, no worrying about the troubles of the world. Maybe he should retire and become an archaeologist. Nah, he'd then have to compete with the BBA for any findings, and that would just sour a good thing.
Right now, buried beneath the sands of the Fortuneteller Desert, Cipher had discovered a buried temple of some sort, and was currently working his way through it. The cramped space prevented him from flying, but it didn't really matter to him. Though he knew Porsalynne would be annoyed at how sandy and dirty his clothing was getting from all of this. Well, artifact or no, it would be an experience, and it gave him some time out. Though this place did make Cipher somewhat curious. It didn't seem like a temple, at least any he knew. There was a lack of decoration, it was cramped, and it had been completely sealed off. He had had to punch his way through numerous barriers as he made his way through this tunnel. Was this a tomb of some kind? He didn't exactly like the idea of him doing some tomb robbing.
Coming across one last barrier, Cipher grabbed it with all four hands and heaved it to the side. Beyond the barrier, the tunnel opened up to a massive chamber, finally giving the android room to stretch himself out. Stepping into it, it was a large, circular chamber, but his attention was drawn to the center of it. It looked like a stone sarcophagus, standing upright. Numerous chains were wrapped around the coffin, bound to the floor. The android rose an eyebrow as he slowly approached it. Whoever this person was, apparently they feared him beyond death enough to do all this. Though granted that people could come back from the dead, chaining up his coffin really wouldn't do much.
As he approached the coffin, Cipher leaned in, brushing some of the dust off of it to look at the design. It was a design he hadn't seen before, though he committed it to memory. He would look up this design when he got back to the ship, see just who this coffin belonged to. He took a step back. There was nothing really around here the stood out outside the coffin. He gave a small shrug and began to walk away.
Well...what have we here?
Cipher paused, looking around. The voice seemed to be echoing from everywhere, no place to pin it down to. "Who's there?" he said, turning to look at the coffin. But nothing seemed to change about it.
A lost little puppet, wandering around off his strings.
Cipher's eyes narrowed. "I'm no puppet." the android said flatly, trying to find just who was talking. But nothing seemed to change about the room at all. The strange voice gave a low chuckle.
Oh, but you are. A little puppet built to follow orders. And when you deviate away from those orders, well, things just go awry...
Cipher blinked and scowled. "What are you talking about?"
Oh you know, your little forays in diplomacy, your little excursion to Konats, any time you try to do something on your own, it all ends in failure.
Cipher scowled. How did this voice know that? "I've accepted all that. I've moved on from it all." If this voice was trying to get him angry, he wasn't going to let it succeed. Though admittedly it was quiet annoying.
Whether you've moved on or not is irrelevant. You still failed, and have thoroughly demonstrated that you don't deserve that powerful body of yours.
Fortunately, I'm going to fix that right now...[/i]
Suddenly, Cipher felt something grab hold of his leg. The android's eyes shot down to see something clawing its way out of the ground. A black, phantasmal figure, with glowing red eyes and a twisted grin. It clawed its way up, grabbing hold of Cipher and climbing his way up his body. Cipher gasped in shock and tried to force the spirit off of him. However, his arms simply sank into the blackness and were held in place. The phantom climbed up towards his face, his glowing red eyes staring right into Cipher's, completely engulfing the android's vision.
Meanwhile, on the Big Blue, Porsalynne was sitting calmly in her room, working on some dress designs while Charlene was out working on her project, and her husband-to-be was out doing some exploring. Quiet days like this were nice. A chance to forget about the problems of the world.
Suddenly, something gripped her heart. Or rather, gripped the core in her chest. Fear? No, it was Cipher's fear. Something was happening to him! But before she could react, something else seemed to grip her as well. Something flowing through the link between the two of them, causing pain to wrack through her body. The female android groaned as she doubled over. Blackness engulfed the android's vision until it was all she saw.
The chains on the sarcophagus fell slack, crumbling to dust as the coffin's lid crashed down to the floor. Nothing was inside of it, the stone tomb completely empty. Meanwhile, Cipher stood in the middle of the room, completely motionless for a moment. After a moment, the android began to move, cracking his neck and twisting his body, stretching out his muscles. "Ah, now that's not so hard, is it?" he looked over himself, smirking. "Not a bad body. Nice design, these arms will come in handy. And powerful to boot. Yes, it'll do very nicely."
He looked at the chamber around him, giving a small, cruel smirk. "Nice try containing me guys. Though you knew it was a matter of time." He turned and began to walk out of the chamber.
Cipher touched down on the landing pad of the Big Blue, calmly heading towards the door. He paused when he saw the android Porsalynne standing in the doorway waiting for him. Both androids paused and looked eachother in the eyes, sensing the link between the two of them, and what they shared over that link. A small smile appeared on their faces as Cipher leaned in and kissed her on the forehead. The two androids headed inside, to be greeted by the soldiers of the BBA, who stopped and saluted their superior. "Sir! Welcome back sir!"
The android waved away the greeting to the soldier. "Yes yes, thank you. Now, go find the commanders and tell them to meet with me. I have some things to discuss with them." 'Cipher' resisted the urge to grin as the two soldiers ran off, instead sending a conspiratorial look at 'Porsalynne'.

Cipher and Porsalynne have been possessed by something...dark. What is it? What is its plan? Who knows, but one thing's for certain. S*^#'s about to go down!
