A few days after the fight with Ukare and Athren couldn't have been feeling any better about himself or his current situation. So far his life on Earth was in a complete tornado and never going in a straight line. The list of things being dealt with right now? Simple. First, he liked a human girl. Second, he had heard that there was a saiyan hunter on planet and he figured it was only a matter of time until they ran into one another. Third he now had a puppy to take care of and fourth he had to train to deal with any threats that may come to him or this planet and he didn't think it would take very long for that to happen. In his head, Athren didn't think he'd make it to his twenty first birthday and that was only nine days away. He had figured the hunter would have found him and finished him by then and Athren was almost certain that he couldn't save himself in that fight. Hell, he couldn't even beat a warrior namek who he met on the street, so what was his chance of fighting a saiyan hunter and winning? Simple. Slim to none.
At this current moment it was mid day and the sun was high up and shining warmth down on the surface of the Earth. Really Athren couldn't have asked for a much better day. Currently he was wearing his normal saiyan attire and that included his scouter planted over his left ear and the screen hovering over his left ocean blue eye though today there had been something new added. Athren was wearing the heavy weights that he had purchased for the purpose of training as that was his goal for today. He needed to learn two new techniques and didn't know how to do it. It wasn't anything that somebody could see in person, both of the techniques were done from the inside.
At this time, Athren had been flying through the clouds at very high speeds. He was looking for a training ground that would be different then his usual desert or mountain scene. His puppy Sprocket had been left at home in the apartment with a bowl of food and water and Athren could only hope that he wouldn't rip and tear anything apart. If he did he wouldn't have much choice to replace it but even so it probably wouldn't take long for new furniture to get scorch marks on it anyway. So really even if he did he might have got lucky. Regardless, that wasn't in Athren's hands now.
While he had been enjoying his flight something had caught his attention to stop him mid flight. Straightening out posture in the air he then paid attention to his scouter. Hopefully, this would be the last time he ever needed it. ~Hm. Above average power level. Wonder who the hell it is. Maybe it's Ukare. It's in the same ballpark as his anyway.~ Athren had thought that to himself as he saw the reading of the power. "Ah Hell. I'll go visit him. It's been awhile." Mumbling that to himself Athren blasted off towards the direction that the scouter had pointed him in.
It didn't take very long, maybe five minutes at the most until Athren had seen a figure past the clouds that he was in. From where he was it looked like a floating semi-circle in the air. It didn't really make sense to him but that wasn't the point. That had been where the power level was coming from. ~ The hell is that?~ Regardless, he was going to stop in and see if it was Ukare or not and if the person wasn't him and just happened to be violent. Athren wouldn't hesitate to end the fight before it even started. Getting closer he could see detail. The colour of the place and the structure and the plants on it. He didn't know what the hell this place was but he wanted to find out. Maybe this was the place that other saiyan had spoke of. His name was Toma if Athren had remembered correctly.
Reaching it he slowly landed in the middle of all the square tiles and in between two rows of tree's. At the very moment he couldn't see anybody and according to his scouter the person with the power level Athren had followed had been inside the building.
Trying to get some minor attention Athren began to walk towards the building. "HELLO!?" Of course a saiyan yelling at the top of his lungs wouldn't be something that could easily be ignored. If somebody could ignore Athren yelling at the top of his lungs then they deserved a medal or they just so happened to be old and deaf.
Now, All Athren could do is wait patiently to see who came out of the building. If it was Ukare hopefully they'd get their spar on and if it wasn't Athren would handle the situation accordingly.

"998..." Toma spoke as he pushed himself up with one hand. He was doing one-handed pushups while hand standing to improve his muscle strength. He had been doing it for a few hours now, and he had gotten done with his left arm a while back, and now he was working on the excersize for the right arm. "999..." He continued, bending his arm again, before pushing himself up again once more, sweat dripping onto the floor after falling off of his nose. He had been training all day, and he was beginning to get tired. But he couldn't stop. Not yet. He had felt the power Athren possesed when he had sensed his energy. If he couldn't stand up against Athren, did he have a right to call himself a fighter? Sure, he had beat down those other two saiyans he had met but Athren wasn't like them. He wanted to fight Athren at full strength, one on one. But he had to catch up to Athren first.
"1000!" Toma shouted as he pushed himself up again with a great force, enough to push himself into the air and flip back onto his feet. He sighed as he wiped off his head with his right arm and he let out a satisfied sigh. That was a pleasant workout. He had enjoyed that. He wasn't wearing a shirt of course, and he was wearing some shorts despite the fact that it was cold up here. Since Toma didn't exactly have a house to go back to at night, he decided to take up a room in the Lookout and keep guard over it, at least until another Kami could be decided for the Earth. He decided he should go rest for a little bit before he continued his training again. He walked over to a small shelf and grabbed a bottle of water from it. He popped off the cap and brought the ice cold bottle to his lips. He smiled as he felt the cool liquid slide down his throat, cooling his body off after he swallowed. That was when he felt a familiar Ki signature. He had felt this energy before, but it felt... weaker. Was that Athren? Toma couldn't hardly believe it. Athren must have sensed Toma's Ki and come check the lookout out. Toma was confused as to why Athren had found this place, though. If he recalled rightly, Athren couldn't sense Ki. Perhaps he had learned? That would make sense. He'd have to ask Athren about it when they met.
Toma began walking out towards the front entrance upon sensing this power, his tail still wrapped around his waist and his water bottle in his hand. He couldn’t help but think about his tail though, while he walked. He had been having horrible nightmares about an ape like creature destroying his homeworld and he couldn’t help but have an instinctual feeling that his tail was a part of it. He frowned as he thought about the dream. It was the same dream, over and over again. Toma would be working out as his home on the nameless planet, and his mother would call him for dinner. Toma would rush into the kitchen to get the delicious food, and he’d turn around and the pirate that beat him would be there. The pirate would kill his mother and smash Toma into a wall. That’s when the Ape would appear and smack the pirate down. The ape would then turn to Toma and fire a ki blast, and every time that happened Toma would wake up again. And it was always in a cold sweat that Toma would wake. At first, Toma would wind up firing a blast of Ki into the sky to defend himself from the monstrosity that haunted his dreams. But, recently, as he had experanced the dream over and over, he had grown used to the end of the dream. He had stopped firing ki blasts and had stopped damaging the lookout. He remembered that he had needed to sleep outside the first few nights to stop the ki blasts from damaging the building, but now that he had gotten over that it wasn’t an issue anymore.
What did it mean? What did that vision of the ape and the pirate mean? He had killed that man. Or, if not him, something did. It was over, done with. He should focus on finding the dragon balls and increasing his own strength, shouldn’t he? So why couldn’t he overcome this fear? Was he remembering the monster that had killed his home? Was he afraid? Was fear the very primal instinct that was preventing him from gaining more strength in his heart? Toma didn’t know the answer to these questions, but he felt that perhaps a spar with the saiyan Athren, even if he couldn’t win, might help ease his mind for a little while.
He walked outside after he heard the Saiyan shout, and he waved a hand over his head. “Hey, Athren! What’s up man?” Toma would ask, curious as to why Athren was on the lookout.

It didn't take much of Athren waiting patiently for him to get a response out of the resident inside but who came out kind of surprised him. Watching the saiyan that had invaded his apartment a few days before exit the strange building forced Athren's right brow to arch up slightly and forced a light smile on his face. He was the last person he had expected to see. Yet, it was kind of nice. Now maybe Athren could kill some time by being taught sense instead of him trying to figure it out on his own which would have worked but been a hell of a lot slower. Athren's eyes locked onto Toma's if they could. Of course, Toma would have to want to make eye contact for that to happen but it would be somewhat difficult if he didn't. Regardless, Athren was going to talk anyway. At first glance it appeared that Toma had been training recently. ~ Wonder if he'd make a good sparing buddy?~ Other than that thought running through his head he had also been thinking of telling him how he had felt about the saiyan hunter that Toma had mentioned before. As it was, Athren had felt that neither of them had a chance against him and this was just based on the thought of Ukare beating Athren and he wasn't even hunting saiyans, though Athren would save that for later. Right now, He had heard Toma begin to speak and once he had finished Athren began to reply.
His reply was fairly easy and basic, he wouldn't go to in depth about how or why he was here but he would summarize it enough so Toma had gotten the point of the story. "Really? Not a hell of a lot. I was heading out to get some training done and work on that ki sensing technique you had mentioned before but my scouter here had picked up your power level." With that being said Athren would raise his left hand and tapped his scouter with his finger twice. "I thought that you could have been a friend of mine considering your power level is roughly around his but it turns out that you're you. I really didn't expect to see you of all people but, I guess I'm glad I did." Even though he had failed to find his Namekian friend this would have to do and would still potentially be quite beneficial to both parties if Athren had asked Toma the same thing he was going to ask Ukare. Of course he wouldn't blurt it out right off the bat but he'd ease into it slowly. This was more than an opportunity to get stronger and learn a new technique but it was an opportunity to actually make another friend and surprisingly Athren hadn't gotten to bad at making them. First was Kaiyo and Anzu, followed by Ukare and Sprocket. Now it could have been Toma. Not too bad for a young saiyan warrior that had been abused most of his life.
With that being said, that pretty well explained the whole extent to why Athren had shown up on the lookout. Looking around Athren scanned it fully. Picking out every little detail he could about the place. He had done this because it simply interested him why a large platform was floating in the middle of the sky. It really didn't make sense so Athren figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask about it. "What the hell are you doing up here all alone anyway?... and what exactly is this place? I've never seen anything like it before, it's quite unique and strange. You live up here or something?" With that, Athren continued to look around the floating landscape this time though he began to approach Toma. Step by step Athren neared the other saiyan. Every single step he had taken had the same sound of a boot colliding with hard concrete.
If Toma had been good at reading peoples expressions and tones, he'd more than likely notice that he was a lot nicer and calmer than he was the first time the two saiyans had met. He didn't have such a negative aura surrounding him. He was open hearted and happy now instead of his stone cold miserable way he was before. Once he had gotten close enough to Toma so they could proceed with this conversation without having a shouting match Athren planted his feet onto the ground and stood there firmly. Of course he couldn't help but cross his arms over his chest. That was just Athren's thing. He wasn't trying to be rude by it, but it could come off as such slightly. He was quite curious to this whole situation. Once again though, Athren's eyes would try to lock onto Toma's. It was a sign that Toma had Athren's attention and he was going to listen.

Toma decided to listen to Athrens story. There wasn’t much to it. Athren was being brief considering that he had just got here, and was most likely shocked by what he had seen. Toma could understand how he felt upon seeing the lookout. Toma had felt similarly when he first saw the lookout as well. Not much he could do about it other than explore it and take up a room. He shrugged some as he spoke about how his ‘scouter’ or whatever he called it had picked up on Toma’s power level and he had decided to follow it, thinking that Tom had been someone else.
“So that’s how you detect power levels, eh? If you want I can teach you that Ki Sensing ability. But if I do, you need to stick around and help me with a second ability I’ve been working on.” Toma spoke, as he looked at Athren. After that, Athren began to speak about why Toma was here and asked if he lived up here or something to that nature. Toma felt that it was only right to give Athren an explanation to the question, as it certainly was an odd place for one to be dwelling.
“You remember those Dragon Balls I mentioned? And the Kami who is supposed to live in the heavens? Well, he’s supposed to live here. But it appears he’s dead. I have someone who is working on getting a new Kami to come here to revitalize the Dragon Balls. I plan on collecting them, and using them to bring my family back. It’s real, Athren. Can you believe it? I thought I might have been crazy all this time but they’re really real!” Toma spoke as his voice went from an explanative tone to a more happy, joyful one. He was incredibly happy that he had found this place.
“As for why I live here, I decided to stay up here until a new Kami is decided. I don’t really have a place to stay, and nobody else is using it. It gets kind of lonely at times up here but at least I’m so high up that I don’t have to deal with the bad weather that you guys get down below. Besides, it let me train in peace without having to risk hurting someone else down below with my abilities.” He spoke, recalling the little fiasco he had with helping out a farmer. But, he had gotten paid for it and that’s all he had really cared about.
After that, he thought back to how he had come about this. It was funny, really. He had landed in just the right spot, in just the right time, to become a part of this adventure. If he hadn’t landed in the desert, he’d have never met Milac. If he had been a day early or a day later, it was possible he’d have missed him. Milac was the one that told the then depressed Toma that the Dragon Balls existed. He had told Toma about the lookout and had set Toma on this path to find them. And Toma was happer and stronger for it. Toma recalled how he had first found the lookout. It was his 3rd lap around the planet and he had slowly been ascending higher and higher into the atmosphere to make sure nothing super high up wasn’t in the sky. He hadn’t thought there would be anything up there bbut there was. The lookout existed and became Toma’s temporary home. It wasn’t the best of spots fro the young Saiyan but it worked for now.
But then Toma had another thought. He thought back to about how Athren was of Planet Vegeta. About how he grew up in noral Saiyan society and about how he knew more about Saiyans than Toma knew. His tail twitched at the thought about what Toma was about to ask Athren, but he needed to know. He couldn’t just sit here forever and have nightmares forever. But then, perhaps Toma didn’t want to know? That’s right. Toma couldn’t afford to risk getting emotional at a time like this. He could learn about his past later. Right now, he had to focus on finding the Kami of the planet.
Toma sat down infront of Athren now. He’d let out a sigh as he pointed to a spot infront of himself for Athren to sit down at and he looked into Athren’s eyes. “Sit down.” Toma would speak, as he’d let out a grin. “I’m going to teach you how to sense energy. After that, you’re going to help me. Then when we’re done with that, we can spar or something. I dunno.” He said as he looked at Athren. He was curious as to what the young man would say. He did notice something, though. Athren seemed to be more light hearted and relaxed than he had previously been when he met him with Kaiyo. Had something happened to him? He supposed it was a change for the best, so he wouldn’t pry into it.

Athren had listened to Toma very carefully. He didn't want to miss a word or a detail coming out of his mouth. Though his first words were easily the most important to him. He didn't even have to ask and Toma had offered to teach him the sense ability. That would definitely come in handy later on in life. Though, Athren couldn't help but wonder if Toma knew how to suppress his ki. That was another one Athren wanted to know how to do because that could also be the difference between living and not living.
"You're going to teach me how to sense Ki? Sure. I'll stick around and help you out then. It's funny actually. I'm actually set out to learn that right now and next on my list is Ki Suppression. With that hunter around I want to be prepared and I want to know what I'm getting myself into. Really don't want to be just another death right now." With that, Athren gave Toma a bright smile. It was obvious that Athren had been quite grateful to receive this offer as it would make it so much easier to learn. Athren was a very skilled fighter and could come up with combat techniques in a heartbeat but this kind of stuff wasn't so easy on him. He found it much simpler to focus his energy the way he wanted to and unless it on his opponent, support techniques were useful too.. but wasn't as easy for him to learn. On the other side of the situation if Toma had paid close attention he'd notice that there was a very slight tone and look of concern on Athren's face and in his voice. Athren really didn't want to die right now, not like that. Not like some trophy game that a human hunter would blast with a .303 British rifle. No, If he was going to die he wanted it to be for something. Not some pathetic way like he had been expecting.
Remaining in his postured Athren shook his head lightly as to say a big no. Of course this was only to the sitting part. "I've been sitting for too long already today. Really, I'll just stand, maybe fly... but you've got my attention regardless of how I'm acting." Athren didn't budge from that point on. He was too stubborn to sit just because somebody told him to and he did mean it when he had been sitting for quite some time today already. The smile on his face getting bigger Athren continued to speak. "Also. I'm happy for you. I really hope you find what you're looking for and hell, If it means anything I'm more than happy to help you find those Dragon Balls of yours. Maybe after you're done with them we can find other uses for them. Wouldn't hurt to have them laying around in case of a bad situation." Obviously Athren meant well with this. If Toma had found them and used them maybe having them laying around for other purposes wouldn't be a bad thing? Athren figured that if he died, Toma died, Ukare.. Kaiyo... anybody important to him had died he could just wish them back and really, that was a very good reason to have them around.
He then commented on the last piece of information that he had absorbed from Toma. "So. It's your temporary residence. It's a nice spot. Better than the small apartment I'm in. It's a pain in the ass to go find a spot to train away from everybody. I wouldn't mind having a place like this but clearly there is only one and it's taken. So, I guess I'll just stick with the tiny place. Though, It's got its bonus'. I get to see Kaiyo every morning and well, That's the only great thing." Stopping himself from saying anything more he realised that he had gone off track and a little bit too far. Sure, Toma was probably more than happy to listen but at this point Athren had already said much more than he needed to know.
Getting back on track Athren had slowed his words down to almost nothing. Except this next few and there was nothing but excitement clouding his tone of voice. "Anyways, Enough with the talk. Let's get to this training. Shall we? That hunter isn't going to wait for me to learn this. So we'd best get started!" It was obvious that Athren had been eager to learn this technique and it was about time they had done so. "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it." With that, Athren went quiet and awaited his orders. Turns out today would be a good day!

Toma frowned a bit when Athren decided that he wouldn’t sit down and complained that he had been sitting down far too long today already. To be honest, Toma really didn’t care. He just wanted this to be done already. He understood where Athren was coming from when he spoke of not dying. He could get that. He has faced death before on his home planet and he barely survived. He knew what it was like to look into the face of death and continue fighting. Though he never thought about why he survived that battle. He assumed it was simply because of luck.
Toma sighed a bit as he thought back to the red haired Saiyan female he had met earlier. Her name was Ninjin, wasn’t it? Something like that. Toma couldn’t quite remember. He had learned of the ability to suppress Ki. That’s what he was planning on having Athren help him out with. He would teach Athren the ability to Ki Sense, then he would have Athren sense his Ki until it was suppressed. Simple as that, in theory. With someone else to help, it should be much easier to do so than to just guess if he had done it properly or not. He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to feel the change of ki in himself so he figured having a partner would be better to practice this ability with.
Toma placed his hands together and looked up at Athren. He flared his Ki a little bit. He began to speak shortly after that. “What I want you to do is focus on your own Ki. Feel your own energy flowing through your body. As I’m sure you know, this energy is called Ki. Ki is the energy that flows through all living beings. If you learn to feel your own Ki, you’ll be able to sense the Ki of others. It takes some practice but thats what I’m here for.” He spoke, as he looked to Athren, who should by now be beginning to focus his own energy.
“If you need to, try forming an energy ball in your hand and focus on that.” He spoke, as he continued to watch Athren. He needed to let Athren do this by himself so he could learn the power. There wasn’t much else Toma could teach him for this technique but he could help him out.
“Now, I’m going to raise my power level. Try to focus on this energy ball I’m holding in my hand.” He spoke, as he raised his right hand. A blue orb of Ki appeared in his hand and floated just above his palm. This was really the most Toma could do to assist in this training. After that, Athren would have to learn due to his own skills.

Athren couldn't help but arch his right brow. Did Toma think he was a complete rookie at this whole Ki thing? Of course Athren knew what it was and he had just so happened to know what it was called too. As for feeling it, Athren thought that was a general necessity when using it in creating attacks based on that Ki energy. "So, What you're telling me is to sense somebody elses Ki I'll need to know how to read mine? I feel mine already." Really, this was true. So his next step was trying to focus on what Toma had given him which was the ball of energy in his hand.
Was this technique really that simple? It didn't seem like it took much other than a little bit of focus. If that was really all it was it really shouldn't have taken the young saiyan warrior too long to get this one down. Athren's eyes aimed down at the energy ball that Toma had created in his hand, he tried to focus on it and get some sort of feeling from it but it just wasn't working. What the hell had Athren been doing wrong. That blue energy orb that had sat above Toma's right hand seemed like it would be such and easy task but it wasn't.
Athren had now thought back to when he was a small child and he had to learn how to control his own ki. That had involved him sensing it inside of himself and in a sense freeing it. Bringing it outside to do what he had requested. It had been a long and frustrating process for the child at the time because he just couldn't figure out how to do it. That was until he closed his eyes and focused on nothing but his own energy. Maybe that would have worked just like it did there but in this situation. Hell, to Athren it was sure worth a damn try.
Athren smirked lightly as his ocean blue eyes went up to look into Toma's. "Now. I'm going to try something here and I need you to shut up until I pull it off. Got it? If you don't I'm probably going to have to punch you in the face, multiple times if you piss me off." Of course this threat was said with a light humour to it as Athren wasn't quite serious about though if he did get annoyed it wouldn't be out of his character to do something like that. Regardless though, Athren only hoped that Toma would give him a few minutes of silence for him to focus.
With that being said, Athren looked down at the blue orb of energy in Toma's hand. He stared at it briefly before closing his eyes and going into a nice, deep, focus.

When Athren asked if Toma was telling Athren that he needed to be able to read his own Ki, Toma nodded his head. “Yeah, that’s about right. You need to be able to feel the energy that flow through all living things. If you can do that with yourself, you can do it with me. You need to cast out your senses and feel my energy flowing through me. The more energy someone has, the stronger they are. If they have more energy than you, then their power level is higher than yours.” Toma instructed as he kept the ball of energy above his head.
Athren then began to concentrate and seemed to be having some trouble. Toma decided to put more power into the ball to make it easier to sense for the young Saiyan. “It won’t be easy. Keep trying until you get it. It’s something I can’t really teach you, you have to learn for yourself.” He spoke, still holding the ball of energy in his hand. He didn’t really know what else to do after that, as there wasn’t’ really anything else that he could do aside from sit there and wait. Athren got a bit mad and told Toma to stay quiet while he tried something, and Toma would’ve chuckled if he wasn’t trying to help Athren out with this.
Toma sensed a couple of power levels down around West City while this was going on. They were strong, stronger than he wa sat least. Toma felt like he should mention it to Athren, but he decided not to. One of those powers felt like the red haired fire girl he had met the other day, but he decided to tell Athren if her power began fading. After all, Athren wouldn’t want any help in a fight and if Kaiyo could take the dude she was fighting then why bother? It would be an insult to her to rush to her aid without her calling for help. Toma decided to keep an eye on her power level though.
So, Toma sat there and waited for Athren to continue. He thought back to his fight with the two Saiyans he had met previously. Lettis and Maize, he recalled. They hadn’t been much of a threat and Toma swatted their attacks away with ease. The fight had lasted quite a while, almost too long in Toma’s mind… Toma eventually became lost in thought while he waited for Athren.

Athren had kept his eyes closed the whole time and listened to Toma's every word carefully. He continued to focus on the energy that was right in front of him. He visualized it only without his eyes. Instead of vision he concentrated hard on it and got a mental image and feeling for the energy that was directly in front of him by mere feet. At first it felt like he could hear the sound of the blue orb pulsing. It felt like it had pierced right through both of his ears and into his brain. He had began to let that sounds turn into a feeling.. Of course that was up until Toma had decided to speak again. Once Toma's words sunk through his ears Athren lost focus on the energy orb. Just then in that moment did Athren's eyes open wide with a slight look of annoyance in them.
Athren would have grabbed him tightly by the collar if he wasn't the one receiving training and blurted out some sort of threat but right now wasn't the time for that. Now was the time for shutting up and learning. Though he couldn't help but make a remark about his last statement. "Didn't I tell you to shut up? Hell. You messed me up there. Do it again and I swear I'll.." With that, Athren decided to shut up. He could have gone on but it wasn't the time to do so.
Athren then closed his eyes once again. "This time, keep your mouth shut." was his last words before he tried to get back into a focused state of mind. Once again he got a mental image of the blue energy sphere that Toma had held in front of him. He then once again let his other senses take over. He let himself hear the energy pulsing as it let out a weird sounding noise. He focused hard and let it seep right into his brain.
Athren quickly let go over that as he had another question. He opened one eye and glared at Toma. It probably would have looked somewhat humorous. With a light smile on his face he asked his next question. "Where exactly do you end up feeling others energy? Heart, Soul..? What? Give me an idea."
With that Athren shut his mouth and awaited further instruction.

Athren “threatened” Toma once more after Toma had spoken to give Athren more advice. If Athren and Toma weren’t both Saiyans, and friends at this point due to their little spar a few nights prior, Toma might have taken his threat seriously. But the two of them were pals, in their own, Saiyan way. Toma had gotten a Power Level increase due to the spar and his weights, which he wasn’t wearing right now and he had made friends with Athren. That was always good.
Toma chuckled a bit when Athren spoke, and he smiled at his fellow warrior. Toma considered Athren to his his rival and a good friend, even if Athren was a little bit of a grouch at times. But everyone had bad days, and Toma could feel the lightheartedness that was in Athrens heart now. He had changed for the better and Toma was more than willing to trust him. Perhaps they could even fight again when Toma catches up to him. That sounded like it would be fun.
Toma monitored the Ki signatures that were in the town. It felt like a fight was very nearly about to happen, and Toma felt it might be a good idea to go help… but perhaps later. It might not be the best of ideas to do so when Kaiyo’s power level seemed to be higher than the person how was exerting his or her strength. Toma would love to go fight the guy, but it seemed the man was about twice as strong as Toma, so he wouldn’t go unless Kaiyo was in real danger.
As for Athrens next question, Toma thought on that for a few moments. He had never really thought about it. “Well, when I fought someone once, I felt a feeling in the pit of my stomach from their evil Ki but it doesn’t always come from your stomach. I suppose it really depends on the kind of Ki you’re sensing, really.”

Well, that was definitely more than enough guidance than Athren had needed. It was now time to focus on what he was doing and get this technique down. It couldn't have been that hard to pull off. Right? I mean the only thing there was to do now was focus until he felt it and could sense the energy. It was all going to be a matter of how strong it is and where it is. Which right now, was directly in front of him.
Once again Athren tightly closed his eyes. He was going to see this orb of energy once again but not physically see its shape and form but see it mentally in a picture added with the sound it was giving off. He focused long and hard on it. He could hear it and see the image of it in his mental notes but he couldn't feel it yet. Though that was about to change.
It took about two minutes of him doing this in complete silence, but he finally could feel it inside his body. It came off as a weaker energy but he could still sense it. He then attempted to Sense Toma's ki and again he had gotten that feeling inside of his body. Opening both of his eyes quickly Athren smirked. "Got it. I sensed the ball of energy and you. Done and done."
Athren then paused and gave him a light smile. He had remembered that Toma wanted a favour in return though something else had gotten into Athren's head. He had somewhere to be. "CRAP! I've got to be somewhere. I'll come back when I can and help you!" With that, Athren lifted himself off the square tiled circle. "I'll see you soon!" With that being said, Athren blasted off.

Toma's a good teacher for Athren even if it's clear they argue during training.
Athren: 6224 PL + Ki Sense Approved
