As he was approaching Earth, Tempara was making sure that the stuff inside his Space Pod would be safe upon atmospheric reentry. The last pod he bought was a complete scam which couldn't even fly high into the air, so he had to make sure that if the pod didn't survive atmospheric re-entry, that at least he and his stuff would survive long enough to enter Earth's atmosphere. As the pod went closer and closer to Earth, Tempara continued trying to make sure the pod would stay safe as it entered the atmosphere, and into the western parts of the planet.
Luckily for the Sushei-Jin, the pod was able to survive the entry into the planet's atmosphere, with him celebrating and saying "Oh thank goodness, I can't believe the pod survived entering Earth! I can't wait to land this thing an-" Unfortunately for him, as Tempara was celebrating his succesful reentry, he paid no attention to his surroundings, and his pod ended up crashing into the walls of the Timeless Lookout, destroying the pod in a small explosion as well as sending all the items in the pod flying in many directions. Tempara quickly grabbed the KEC, which while damaged was still functional, and screamed "Somebody help meeeeeeee!" as he fell, forgetting that he could fly with Ki.
