A jaunty tune rang through the air, blinking lights adorned the area to match the asinine melody. The area all around Jack had been adorned with mechanical equipment, and countless souls were crammed upon the ever turning ferris wheel that he had found himself upon.
"Go to the amusement park, they tell me," Jack muttered in annoyance as he draped his ghostly head over the side, emulating a wretching noise. As someone who had passed while heavily intoxicated, the ghost had been in a state of constant hangover since he had been in hell. The only time that he could ever return to the good feelings that drink had brought him was when he would escape the afterlife back to the world of the living. "You'll get used to it, they said," Jack continued as he looked up at the jagged ceiling above him with a groggy frown as he recalled his last meeting with an ogre counselor.
This place was such a drag. With his head throbbing with an infinite migraine, the ghost finally looked over to the other being who had joined him on the wheel.
"Doesn't it feel like we've been on this ride for awhile?" Jack asked. It had been the first time that the ghost had looked the person in the eye, but the stranger had been sitting next to Jack for over an hour as the ride's control system had broken. Worse, the safety bar had some sort of ki aura that prevented the wheels riders from flying out of it or phasing through it. Jack had already asked this question before several times, before passing out for a quick nap and waking up with seemingly no recollection of the announcement that the ride was broken and that they would have to wait for the technician.

Conan sighed. The one day he decides to actually try and do something fun, like maybe going to a certain amusement park in the middle of Hell, is also the exact same day the guys working the park forgot to oil the goddamn ferris wheel. "Go to the park, they said," Conan muttered to himself angrily as he laid his head back in his seat. "It'd be fun, they said." Of course, Conan shouldn't have gotten his hopes up, after all, everything run here is by ogres who only had a high enough IQ to do simple tasks like this one. But Conan really didn't have time, or patience for this today. So he yelled down to one of the workers, "OI! HEY YOU! How much longer are we gonna be stuck here for, huh?" The ogre looked to his left and right confusedly, and from frustration Conan threw a small ki ball at him to grasp his attention. "UP HERE, YOU DUMB SACK OF MEAT!" He'd yell as the incompetent ogre finally looked up at Conan. He bowed apologetically and said to the steaming saiyan, "We're sorry sir, but it'll likely be more than an hour before the wheel may begin moving again. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused." Conan muttered a curse under his breath and yelled back at him, "Can someone at least try to get me down?" The ogre shook his head and replied, "No sir, none of us can fly and have no ladder high enough to reach you. We also advise you not to try to break your safety bar, as it will administer a protective shock if you do." Conan muttered angrily again and said to himself, "I'm gonna demand a refund once i'm outta here." He'd look around at the other trapped passengers and tried to find someone to talk to, to pass the time with. He then looked up and saw one of the most strangest sights he's ever seen, and he's seen A LOT. It seemed to be a spirit like creature, who also seemed to be pretty steamed about the delay. 'Well, might as well try talking to it,' Conan thought to himself as he positioned himself into a good position so he could speak to the spirit creature better. "So, you stuck up here too? Can't you just phase through the bar or somethin'?"

The hooded ghost frowned with serrated teeth as the passenger next to him yelled down below at the ogres, causing his migraine to throb even further. It was only when the ogre yelled up that the wheel wasn’t moving did the ghost even realize that the ride was sitting still, for his head still spun about in stupor. Not that he was aware of the stillness, he felt an unsettling pit in the bottom of where his stomach should have been, though it was more accurately in his ghostly tail. Only about three feet tall, with a ragged upper body covered in an ectoplasmic ink black shroud, Jack looked up at the spiky haired passenger who had finally acknowledged him.
“Oh just phase through the bar, I never thought of that,” Jack said in a snarky undertone. He had tried of course, but the bar had been made specifically to keep spirits from falling out. “No… the safety features stop me from getting out… sorry about snapping at you, i’m a little hungover and this is making me nauseous,”
Jack looked the individual up and down. He felt a little jealous that the person had a body, wondering why he got special treatment. He didn’t wait for a response after this revelation and despite having apologized for his previous rudeness he came again with another snappy comment.
“Whose horns did you have to polish to get a body anyways?" Jack asked with a toothy smile. He had no idea that his soul had become much too damaged to attain such a thing, becoming a ghost was an experience one could not easily come back from.

At first Conan was deciding whether or not trying to communicate with this spirit was a good idea, since it was obvious that he didn't want to be spoken to. But, his doubts were put to rest as right after his snap, he apologized, saying that he was a little hungover, and nauseous. He understood that feeling. In his first couple days of Hell, he came across what seemed to be an apple tree. He was wrong, and it left him with a fragile temper and a headache for the next two weeks. Conan smiled slightly when the spirit asked what he had to do to get this body of his, though he really didn't have a set answer. The last time someone asked him that question, they were left unsatisfied. He really didn't want to piss off this ghost again, so he came up with an average answer. "Well, it's very simple, but also quite complicated. At first I had no physical body. Just a lonely soul, drifting along the land of Hell. Though, when other people started appearing with bodies, I was suddenly determined to get one as well. I asked all of them how did they get their bodies back, but I got mixed answers that really didn't help me. Then, one day, I thought to myself. Hey, maybe I could just make it materialize if I tried hard enough. I used all my willpower and imagination to create a picture of my body inside my head. Then, which took a lot longer than the first part by the way, I tried to picture my spirit inside of my body once more. It took me more than a day of just sitting there, meditating, when I realized I wasn't floating anymore. I was one the ground, sitting." Conan awaited all the boos and the disbelief from the spirit. Truthfully, he really didn't care what he thought of him. He just didn't want one of the only people who was able to talk to him turn away. He didn't want to be bored.

“Will power huh?” the ghost repeated back. “Of course, it is so simple… but I don’t really remember exactly what I am supposed to look like… I think it was something like… this!” he exclaimed and with that the ghost closed his eyes and made a straining noise. Surprisingly, the ethereal form that made up his wispy being began to shift around quite a bit as he focused, for a brief moment there was a recognizably human shape to the ghost though the figure remained black.
“Uhhhg!” his voice called out as lifted appendages moved towards the ghosts head in agony. The attempted shape was quickly lost, reverting him back to the way he had been. “I think all that did was make my migraine worse… thanks,” Jack said.
“My name is umm…” the ghost began. In life he had been Jacket Straps, but life was a distant blur, a confused memory like a dream whose details were difficult to recall. “Jack. Yea, Jack. You look like one of those um, what were they… i’m thinking something about giant monkeys but that could have been a comic book,” he finished as he tilted his head in a canted position at the man curiously. His tilted head was in fact tilted well beyond what a human body would be capable of, well over a ninety degree turn that left his eyes sideways as he waited for a response. Conan

Conan grinned slightly. "That, actually, is one of the more nicer descriptions of my race," Conan said, amusement melting into his tone. He had been surprised at the fact that this guy, Jack, had the balls to try and regain his physical form. Though the attempt was in vain, he got very close. "Nice try. Sorry for the migraine though," Conan replied as he formed a ki ball in his hand, growing it to a tremendous size. "This might make it worse." Conan then shoved it into the bar, thunder cracking and Conan getting electrocuted, the wheel shaking from the impact of the attack. His scream echoed throughout the landscape, turning heads and drawing crowds of laughter. Conan sighed and rubbed his hand. It had only bruised the bar slightly. "Damn, these bars are tough," Conan muttered as he rubbed his hand, which had visible burn marks. He turned his attention back to the black blob and said to him, "Sorry, I had to try. But yes, you're right. I am a saiyan, though i'm not like the others that seemed to be drained of any knowledge. Apart from trying to beat someone's face in, of course." He shook his head in disbelief. There were very little saiyans like Conan, saiyans like Conan who had some sort of decency to acknowledge the fact that there are other sentient lifeforms like them. There were plenty of examples in Hell of saiyans who had gone down the wrong path.
He was getting real sick of seeing things like that.
Conan turned his attention back to the spirit once again. "Though that is one of our main features," Conan began with a grin, "We're also known for gaining banana hair, boosting our power far past our regular limits. That's what i'm mainly here for. Training. Though, if ya wanna know why I was killed, that's a longer story that I really don't wanna tell." The truth was, Conan didn't like to speak of his failure, so he never did talk about it often.

“Uhg…” Jack responded to the stranger making an attempt on the bars, the whole ride shaking slightly from the ki. The stranger had informed him that the species he was thinking of was saiyan, and that he was indeed a member. He seemed to be quick to inform Jack that he wasn’t one of the meaner ones.
“So you aren’t like other saiyans, and you just let Yemma know you wanted to train down here instead of at your rightful place upstairs eh?” Jack asked managing to grin a bit through his headache, his face then straightened a bit. “Hey i’m just kidding, i’m obviously down here too. I don’t really remember why though,” he admitted.
“Doesn’t really matter how you get here though,” Jack said in a bit of a whisper. “What matters is getting out. You ever wanna get out of here, just ditch the skin and bones and i’ll show you how to escape for awhile,”
“I THINK I GOT IT!” a voice called out from below, it was a blue ogre with a technician uniform on messing with what appeared to be some sort of otherworldly electric box at the base of the ride. “FLIP THE SWITCH!”
Soon after, a red ogre who was running the ride moved to turn on power to the ride yet again. For a moment, everything seemed to be back to normal as the ferris wheel began to turn, causing the inhabitants who were near the tip top of the ride to begin rotating downwards.
But yet… something was off. The mellow speed of the ferris wheel picked up faster and faster, and Conan and Jack would quickly pass the platform where they would be able to exit. Soon, the ride was spinning at a blindingly fast speed. In a matter of five seconds, the wheel had done a full rotation.
“BREAK BREAK!” the blue ogre yelled.
“GOT IT!” the red ogre replied as he grabbed quickly for the break. As the lever was pulled their was a sudden jerking, but the inertia of the wheel could not be stopped. Although the speed of it had been reduced slightly, the ferris wheel and all of the souls riding upon it began riding across the ground of the amusement park. Luckily, the carriages of the ride were internal to the wheel, and so the passengers did not scrape against the ground, but they were in for quite a ride. Conan - the wheel is now rolling across the ground at a pretty fast rate.

"I'm gonna puke.."
Conan's head boggled and his brain was seemingly being tossed back and forth. He attempted to shoot a ki blast in the way of the wheel, trying to end its slowly increasing acceleration, but he failed miserably. All it did was hit another passenger in the face, leading to some very choice words thrown back and forth between the two. He needed to think of something fast, or else they would probably be stuck there for the rest of his afterlife, just eternally rolling, waiting for the end. After thinking for a moment, Conan had an idea. Once the wheel had rotated so that Conan could touch the ground, he gripped into the ground with his hands, attempting to stop the wheel. It had an abrupt stop, and after it had stopped, Conan realized they had rolled so far that they were at least a couple miles away from the main carnival. He then gripped the bars and ripped them off, there was no shock as there was no power to generate said shock. Conan then flew up to where Jack was and ripped the bars off his seat too. "Thank me later, I have to go help everyone else," Conan said as he went to assist the other passengers. Some more compliant than others.
Finally, Conan had dispatched all the riders from their mini prisons. He walked back over to Jack and said, "Well, that was interesting, wasn't it? Seems like those ogres are dumber than I thought." He shook himself off and stretched, his back ached from sitting in a seat for half of his day. Conan turned to Jack and said, "You alright? I'm hoping that the ride didn't treat you too harshly, as you don't really have a body to get hurt from." He didn't wait for an answer, and immediately followed up with another question, saying, "Hey, can you, like, train? I'm wondering mostly because I haven't had a sparring partner in a while, and my Saiyan blood is boiling for a good fight." Conan knew Jack didn't have a physical form, so he didn't want to get too hasty, but he had to try. The fought, it didn't end very well. And now the two mentors he had were seemingly gone and out of sight, so he wanted some sort of practice to keep his spirits up, and to get some more strength from it, as the whole reason why he went down here was training. Conan sat there, praying Jack could fight and would accept his challenge.
