“Where am I?” Big Train thought, his senses had not yet fully come back to him. The teen tried to think back, he remembered attacking a couple of evil Namekians to save his friend Capper. He remembered being blasted unconscious by Capper’s own mother. Something he was still a little bit salty about. From there things got a little… foggy. Fading in and out of consciousness, he remembered all the fighting between enormous power levels. The clashes of strength and explosions of ki shook him from his unconsciousness more than once. It wasn’t even fair how strong those guys were. He had no chance to help, they were just too strong…
He remembered lying oddly calm in the Namekian grass he had rolled himself onto. The smell of the grass, it was marvelous! Stronger than Earth’s grass, but in a good way. It was softer too, he could feel each individual blade pressed against his form. If he didn’t know any better, he would have thought he was on a picnic. All he need was some good food! He could see himself living here, if the native Namekians would allow him to. It was a nice place. Except for the tall menacing Namekian named Xylo off in the distance gathering massive amounts of energy.
He would use that energy to rain down the hell fury upon the remaining warriors, including Big Train, for whatever reason. Maybe it was because that little kid took his senzu? Nah, he was clearly afraid of him. Big Train supposed that he should take it as a compliment, someone so strong feeling the need to strike down a barely conscious person. Clearly he knew Big Train was a threat. Who could blame him? If he didn’t kill him there, then it was without question that he would have been on the damn tracks! Hell, he still is!
But this was big talk for someone that would soon be scared to death, literally. Time stood still and his vision went black as the purple tendril blast dialed in on him. For whatever reason, Big Train felt serene. At peace. When he awoke again, it was to a sea of pure orange. But it wasn’t a sea, no, it was clouds? Something felt a bit strange as well, he felt disembodied, disconnected to is usual senses. He examined himself only to find that he was a living puff cloud! His cloud like body was a bit different than the others, however. It was a light blue as opposed to the usual white, his soul was strong. He screamed, despite having no mouth. He looked around his new environment more and realized that he was in a long, LONG line filled with other marsh mellow clouds.
They were all pressed closely together in neat single file lines. There was a GIGANTIC building off in the distance, it was old but official looking. Like the palaces of old. It seemed like that’s where the long line of white puff clouds was heading. Was this… was this the after life? It wasn’t really what he expected… But wait… does this mean he was dead?! There was one being near the progressing line of cloud puffs. The man had unnatural blue skin along with a pair of horns atop his head. Big Train rushed forward towards the blue man pleading, “Please, help me! Where am I?!”.
The ogre, taken aback by this, quickly regained his composure and replied, “Please remain calm, you’re in Other World, the After Life. You must have died somehow, and now you’re here. Please wait patiently in line to be judge by the great King Yemma!”. The ogre wore a pleasant smile on his face, this was clearly a common occurrence around here. Big Train didn’t like this, everything was weird and dislocated. He couldn’t smell, ear, see or feel things like he use to. Oh no… does that mean that he can’t taste things the same either?! “AAAHHHH!” Big Train shouted out, he was clearly freaking out. But try not to think too little of him, how would YOU react?
Big Train’s little puff body took off in a rush, heading towards the big building up ahead. The ogre sighed, “We have a runner!” he called out to the other ogres around him. But there was no way that the Big Train was stopping! A rather brolic red ogre dove out of nowhere from Big Train’s blind side. He flew towards Big Train! But he wasn’t going to be stopped that easily, Big Train Puff Cloud side stepped the red ogres dive tackle, completely juking the ogre who went flying off the edge of the pathway, down into the depths below. This allowed enough time for the blue ogre from behind to catch up and tackle Big Train. The ogre tackled Big Train, wrapping his arms around the cloud. But Big Train wasn’t giving up, he kept struggling, eventually popping out of the ogres grasp.
Big Train continued forward, threading between two more ogres, causing them to crash into one another. He would continue to dodge ogres all the way up to the palace of a building up ahead. He entered an immensely wide open room. There was nothing inside but a giant desk with an even larger being behind it. Despite the desk’s size, the man behind the desk looked like he barely fit behind it. The man wore a purple suit and an orange tie. His skin was only a few shades off of the color of his suit, a pale reddish color. He had a cap with horns worn atop his head, or were those his real horns? Big Train couldn’t tell. King Yemma looked baller as hell! A man after Big Train’s own sense of style.
If Big Train wasn’t so scared, he would feel a bit sorry for the man. You better believe that the Big Train knew a thing or two about having to deal with things that were undersized. It was a small man’s world and it seems like it’s a small man’s After Life. Size discrimination was rampant. Big Train screeched to a halt, his little puff cloud body trying its hardest to stop its momentum before running into the desk. He was relieved when his new ‘body’ came to a halt. “Phew” he let out, he didn’t want to run into the desk and anger the celestial being.
But here Big Train was, in front of King Yemma in the After Life. He never thought that things would have ended like this when he left Earth for Namek. He didn’t think his adventures would end so soon. He was only sixteen! He was too young to die! And as far as Big Train knew, death was a permanent thing. The little puff cloud that is Big Train shifted uncomfortably and ‘looked’ up at King Yemma before saying, “A-am I dead? I-is this forever?” the fear dripped from his words. The fleet of ogres that were chasing him, finally caught up. They weren’t happy. But more so, they seemed scared. They clearly did not want to end up in the Yemma Lock! “S-sorry King Yemma, he ran on us”.
Run away spirits probably weren’t all that uncommon of a thing in the Other World. But perhaps it was an unusual feat for a spirit to make it all the way to King Yemma’s desk? He certainly had to dodge a fair deal of colorful ogres. As for the actual judgement, Big Train lived his life honestly. He always helped when he could. Never stole. Never hurt anyone that didn't absolutely deserve it. And even then, it was a last resort. Stuck up for others against bullies, even when it meant sure death... The young teen wasn't the brightest bulb and didn't always make the best decision, but he was undoubtedly pure of heart. A kind young teen that only wanted to learn martial arts from masters all around the universe and help the innocent. Until he finally got swept up into trouble he couldn't handle and wound up here. He just worried about Arco being on his own...
I'm not sure if HW's work with shoki gains, but I have them if it does.
