Jala was called to the remote planet she was at by her master Ax. It was in the far reaches of space, hundreds of millions of light years away from any planets. This planet was doomed for a star to engulf it; it slowly was being pulled in. The planet was named ‘Black Star’ due to the odd star shaped orbit it had and that the planet was made of almost entirely of obsidian. The magnetic field was strong enough, and it had barely enough air to sustain a colony, though it’s deemed uninhabitable. They both reached the planet roughly the same time.
“Oi, Ax. Why did you bring me to this crap hole?” Jala asked, slightly annoyed at her having to come to a doomed planet. “Well, I have a mission for you. A job.” Ax said walking casually over to where the pods were. His brand new, shiny pod glistened with the sun hitting it. Her pod was beaten and nearly broken down, wires hanging out in places, the inside was all but comfortable. Torn and used, it was disgusting. On Jala’s pod, somehow, a message was written on the side hastily, which had been on there for years. It said ‘The Traveler’.
“A mission? You give me those all the time!” She yells angered beyond belief. “Are you trying to annoy me?” She continues as he chuckles. “No, you're going to a planet, I’ll send you the location on your scouter.” He replies, pushing a button on the scouter as it lights up on her’s. “Okay… So I’m going to a planet called Ee-arth.” She says it slowly, mispronouncing it. “Actually, it’s pronounced Earth my student.” Ax replies snickering at her mess up of the word. “But there’s an ‘a’ in it… I'm just gonna keep calling it Ee-arth.” She frowns slightly confused at the pronunciation.
“That’s not the reason I brought you here…” He says, raising his hand and blasting his pod to nothing. Scraps of metal fly as an explosion rings in the air “We are here so I can test you, you and me. I want to see if you're ready for the next level. We fight till near death. The winner escapes while the loser dies with the planet.” He finishes with a slight smile on his face, his eyes staring directly at her. She quickly drops into her fighting stance; her feet close to each other and her hands guarding her stomach and face as she glares at him. “Sicko.” She spats, even while she said that, she grinned. Her blood boiled as she was ecstatic at fighting someone who outclassed her in everything. That was a thrill she missed and was longing for. ‘I will win this fight. I HAVE to win this!’ she thought.
Ax copied the style she had, except with a better form. They stood across from each other. Jala quickly turned, blasting off in a different direction, away from her pod. He followed, easily catching up and slaps her into the planet with ease. She smashes into the planet and groans. “F-fuc…” She starts to say before the scouter beeps and she dodges as a blast from him. “Damn this planet is durable,” she says looking at the mini crater left from the ki blast. “Wow, and I thought I would’ve have won that with ease. Damn.” Ax says sarcastically. She frowns in response and rushes him.
She swings with an uppercut, hoping to knock him off balance. He dodges and kicks at her face which barely misses her. She grabs his foot and begins to spin him, round and round before launching him into a rocky formation and rushing after him. He slams into it with a grunt as she swings a left hook. He raises his hand with a confident smirk, expecting to catch it with no effort. Her eyes sparkle as she raises her arm higher and changes it into a knife hand, ki materializing around it as she swings it down. His eyes turn to shock as he moves to avoid it, but he is too slow. She brings her ki blade down as it cuts straight through his arm and into his waist.
His face contorts into pain as he hops away clutching his stump. His cut arm falls to the ground as she cuts it to tiny bits. “There, no more arm! Looks like you're missing it.” She says and begins to mock him. “Has anyone seen my arm, you can’t miss it, it’s GREEN! Hahaha!” He growls in response, clearly annoyed.
He snarls in anger as he pulls back his good arm. “I am a nearly immortal being that’s lived so long, you could not possibly conceive it! This is a mere flesh wound!” The master roars at his pupil, taking off at her unbelievably fast, slamming his fist into her stomach. She grips her stomach, her ki blade vanishes. He then slaps her to the ground, where she groans in pain.
“Simple. You're too weak. Wonder why I even picked you up on that wretched.” Ax huffs and reaches over grabbing stump, he heats it up so it doesn’t bleed. She stumbles up and flies up to him, and gets close to him. “Heh, you’re missing your arm and call me weak, your power level is now-” she starts right he rushes her. He swings a right hook and she narrowly dodges. She kicks at his head, aiming at his Adam's apple. The master grabs her foot and she grins as releases a burst of ki that turned into an explosion.
“Arrah!” He screams in pain as his clothes were burnt nearly off and it gave nasty burns to his body. She floated over to him and quickly struck both his temples. He falls to the ground unconscious and hits with a large thud. The student pants, realizing if he went all out from the beginning, she’d be dead. She realized his mistake and decided to not follow in her masters footsteps. “... I’ll never underestimate my opponent, no matter the power level.” She says flying back to her pod with new resolve. She doesn’t look back her master, as she didn’t want to see his form again.
She reaches the pod within 30 seconds, their site of battle not too far from here. She sighs, shedding a tear for her only friend. Jala climbs into her pod and inputs the coordinates for the earth. “Goodbye, my friend… My teacher.” The pupil states before closing her eyes for the long trip…
The saiyan arrives at Earth after a month of travel, due to the slow, broken pod. “You will arrive at Earth in 1 minute.” The computer states as Jala yawns and wakes to the obvious shaking of the pod. “Damn. This pod’s got one… Two uses left maybe?” she says looking out the red tinted window. Earth came into view, as well as the ground.
She rocketed toward Gaia, and slammed into it, nearly hitting a mountain. “W-Welcome to E-erayth!” The machine said opening the door as the is began to short out. Jala climbs out, starving and spots a couple dinosaurs. Driven by hunger, she attacks ferociously; killing, and devouring the dinosaurs. “Mmh! This is really good!” She says eating one of the dino’s.
When the saiyan is completely full she clicks her scouter and looks for the coordinates. “Hmm. So southwest of here is the place he is… Got it!” Jala takes off, not caring about her pod at the moment. She was on a mission. She dodges a couple mountains and is surprised at the weak gravity of the planet. “Man these Ee-arthlings must be really weak and sad,” she says, disappointed.
She see’s the city in the distance and slowly creeps toward it. She notes the tallest building, easily surpassing the clouds. “Alright, the guy is called… Teozu. Weird ass name.” She notes he has ‘powerful bodyguards’ in the description of the job. Now she was excited.
She sped up and slammed into the wall, completely taking it out. There sat her target, he was fat Ee-arthling that was sipping some expensive wine. He was wearing a smug look till she burst through his wall. His face turned into a look of annoyance as his bodyguards flood in carrying these weird metal things that were blunt, they kept calling them ‘guns’, swords, knife, and other fun gadgets. She landed and went to work, slaughtering the bodyguards. Heads, arms, legs, and other parts flew through the air, coating the room in blood. Nothing compared to her ki blade as she took everyone down with ease.
The smug man looked shocked as she began building her ki, and then releasing it in an explosion, completely blowing up the top floor. Jala’s target flew from the run covered in 3rd degree burns as he screamed, falling to his death. “Damn, they were pitiful. Jeez.” She sighs as she flies away, going to find something to do till her next mission.
