His eyes gradually opened, yet he could not see a thing. "Uh... I am dead after all..." An apparent grin conquered the blondie's face. In fact, the material things that were covering his face were his golden hair. The abrupt fall he performed from that tall cliff had forced him to lay down in an extremely uncomfortable position; that kind that would hurt your entire being by just adapting to it for a single minute, yet the human had passed out like that for an entire night. Kaito knew that if he moved even an inch, he'd experience an immeasurable amount of pain, but he had to do this. Even though he knew that he'd get a good three or four muscle strains, several rusty bones and why not a sore neck too. In a sudden jerky movement, the blondie got up in feet, wincing meanwhile. All the pain he predicted came into reality, but a warrior like him only had to endure such a thing. At the end of the day, that's what he's been doing all these years; pain inflicting was a common thing in Kaito's world.
"Getting up not so alright... done!"
The human gazed around. Nothing but tall, green and sharp-looking bamboo trees. He spotted a tiny opening of the sunlight and intended to draw closer to it, but this terrible headache froze him on spot. Kaito screamed with sorrow. He tried to suppress such a terrifying and killing pain, but to no avail. That fall from the cliff must have screwed the human over. The human could not help but simply fall to his knees again, with his hands wrapped around his head and his vocal chords running wild; he was spouting nonsense after all, similar to an animal's growlings. Kaito's primal characteristics started to surface slowly; if this state continued, he would not know what he'd do to himself. Everybody had their own ways of self-protection.
On the other hand, maybe this migraine wasn't caused by that fall. Perhaps this pain was a good and trusting sign of Kaito's psyche turning around; basically going schizo. He did not remember a thing about what really happened to him and his Galactic Patrol crew, and the lonely individual needed someone to talk to him after all this hellish long time.

[ Thread Power Level: 147.283] Kaito The man had been spending his day in the depths of the bamboo forest, something that he used to do a lot as a child. Back in the days, it was for him to catch a break from his parents-- weak, but strong-willed Saiyans that tried their best to make of their child a warrior that would resemble the famous traditionalist warrior race, but with one goal in mind; not serve the Empire, but himself. It was a rather difficult goal, or at least that’s what he thought; considering the Empire was ‘that’ huge, not to mention that there were quite a few formidable warriors within their ranks.
And some of those warriors were a part of the ranks of the Legendary Super Saiyans, even if that power he had obtained wasn’t so legendary considering there were many beings with a larger power than his own; a prime example was Beryl; the Galactic Patrol leader. An Earthling who had managed to reach incredible heights in ways that Cornatto wasn’t aware of, but he’d be delighted to ask him. Beryl was a quiet person most of the time, but he wasn’t a bad guy-- he was pretty nice.
Then, there was Samba; a brown, tall and massive Zoanthrope whose attitude resembled the one of a close friend; someone you could trust.. Not that they knew each other that much, but the wolfman inspired a feeling of confidence within the Saiyan and those around him. The Zoanthrope reminded him of his Namekian friend Gnash; even if the green man seemed more discrete than the wolfman, but also a friendly person.
“I wonder what they’ve been up to. Especially you, Gnash.” - he muttered under his breath, lifting his head up to look at the sky with a soft smirk on his face. He couldn’t help but feel like the man had sure managed to make himself some friends; the first one of them was Raisu, and then without him noticing, he met plenty of people-- some of which accompanied him only for a short while, and others that were still present in his life. Speaking of, it had sure been a while since he had heard from the rest of the Galactic Patrol crew.
Or was it?
That day, the Earthling Saiyan was walking in the whereabouts of the bamboo forest, he would have liked to cultivate some of those particular plants himself. As a matter of fact, Cornatto had been carrying a bunch of short bamboo sticks on his shoulder, with the intention of taking them home and see if he could save up some seeds.
However, a voice caught his attention; someone was screaming, and it wasn’t anything like those casual screams one would hear a girl do for some silly reasons like a concert or that kind of stuff, no. This one was frightening; the one of a man who was suffering.
Cornatto clenched his teeth tightly, frowning as he glanced around; picking up on a strong signature, one he had not felt in quite a while. “C-could it be?...” - he thought to himself as he proceeded to make a run towards the signature’s direction; the expression on the Saiyan’s face was showing concern, and how could he not be concerned? Not every day you'd hear someone screaming like that in the middle of a forest. And as the Earthling Saiyan approached, Kaito would likely see him like a shadow in the sunlight coming out from the tiny opening that slashed through the darkness.
It didn’t take long for the Earthling Saiyan to reach the source of the not so discrete Ki signature as he found no one else than Kaito; a fellow Galactic Patrolman, and a friend of Gnash. Cornatto’s eyes widened, staring at the human in surprise but also in a rather puzzled manner-- what the hell was happening?
It had been a long time since he had seen the Human-- more or less eight months or so, however, Kaito had barely changed, and Cornatto managed to recognize him almost immediately.
The blonde-haired man was sustaining himself on the ground by his knees, screaming out loudly for some bizarre reason that the Earthling Saiyan wasn’t aware of, the only thing he could do was trying to snap him out of it. He knelt next to him, his hand firmly set on his shoulder as he shook him softly.
“H-hey, man! Are you alright? What’s going on?”

By the time the new presence arrived, the headache had destabilized the human's knees and forced him to stumble over again; being one with the dirt. Needless to say, Kaito was so occupied with the pain that his Ki senses were not working properly. He didn't notice the new arrival who expressed concern towards Kaito's state. As vaugely as the human could hear his voice, he definitely recognized it. It was a familiar voice and it "warmed" Kaito's ears in a sense. The headache started to die down a little bit, as if the new person was a magician and had done something about it.
As seconds passed, the headache was dying down gradually. This intrigued the blondie. It was a little anticlimactic how such a furiously starting pain went away in such a manner. The brain of the human was maybe using the pain as a sort of protection for him not to go completely insane. Weird things happen. Not wanting to humiliate himself more in the new person's presence, Kaito immediately got up and opened his eyes as he swept the dirt off his Gi. Eyes went wide the moment he saw who talked to him; none other than Cornatto. A smile spread across the human's face; it felt unreal. He had met one of the Galactic Patrol friends in such a long time, maybe eight months. The human approcahed Cornatto slowly while not taking his eyes off him, as if to prove that he really was real and this was not an illusion caused by that grisly headache earlier. After confirming this, Kaito's face burst in happiness. "Cornatto! It is really you!" The blondie raised his right hand in order to scratch the back of his neck as he took his eyes off Cornatto. "You saw me in a really pathetic state, didn't you? Damn it, haha. To be honest, I wasn't really sure myself as to how it happened. I simply found myself lying down in an extremely uncomfortable position and then the pain broke out. It was really terrible though. You've saved me." Kaito had gotten serious as he explained this. His memory was still vague nevertheless. He had a lot of questions he had to ask Cornatto, and he did not hesitate to begin immediately.
"Just... what happened to everyone? To Beryl? To Gnash? To Galactic Patrol?" The questions were formulated in a poor way; the human had a lot of questions in his mind and was trying to say all of them at once. He calmed down before exhaling and reformulated his question again as he fondled his golden locks in a confused manner. "My memory is really vague and I'm not sure how I ended up like this, but I want to know what you've been up to until now."
