"Chai's Dialogue" 'Guardia's Telepathy' 'Chai's Thoughts' 'Guardia's Thoughts'

'Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy-' "Guardia, settle down." At long last, Chai and Guardia had saved up enough money for their own home. The townhouse had red brick walls, painted scarlet with window frames of oak. Inside was the gentle crackle of the hearth, chairs pulled inward to the warmth. The windows were mullioned, overlooking the narrow winding street. It was one of many buildings that looked the same, but even now, Chai felt a sense of homeliness in the building that he hadn't felt in so long. It was better than living in a cave up on the ever so cold Mount Frappe, for sure. As he promised Guardia during his first encounter with Hinawa, there was even a pool nearby that neighborhood residents could use, although it was closed for the winter. The trees lining the road were coated with snow, as was the road that had not yet been plowed. Chai half-expected the winter trees to sneeze under the snow they carried, sending it raining down onto the newly white ground below. The sky above had given up it's bright blue color for a murky gray of winter, sending a few flecks of snow down to the land below. Chai would brush a few snowflakes off of his black trenchcoat. The goat wore his usual outfit, but with his bandanna lowered around his neck instead of on his muzzle. It was a chilly, but beautiful winter day.
Chai was fumbling around with the key to his new home while Guardia flipped and spun about in the air behind him in excitement. Guardia floated near Chai, his lower eyelid curled up and his pupil sparkling. 'I can't believe it! We're gonna have a house! A fireplace! Beds! Tables! BEDS!' Guardia spoke to Chai alone gleefully, doing another flip in the air. The goat from another universe couldn't help but to smile at his companion's joy. Nodding in response, Chai finally got the key to comply and open the door. Guardia flew past the goat with a whoosh, leaving the warrior's head spinning for a moment. The house was filled with traditional rustic furniture. It was rather small as a whole, but it had a warm musky scent and a sense of home to the zoan and his partner already. Chai leaned against a wall, watching as Guardia rounded a hallway corner, letting out a telepathic squeak to himself before flopping down onto a bed nearby. Chai followed his partner and fell back onto their new bed as well, letting out a content sigh. Peering out the window, Chai saw the snow begin to hasten it's descent. The wind began to whip the trees, causing the goat to roll over to the other side of the bed to close the window. Before he knew it, the clouds above would roar and bellow, pounding the land below with a snowstorm! Chai grit his teeth, feeling pity for anyone that was caught in the storm... Guardia continued to bounce on the bed, leaving Chai happy that he had appeased his partner's search for a home.

[Power Level: 12,281 Light Weights Applied, Current PL is approximately 9,210] Speenatch, meanwhile, was far less giddy. And far less warm. Even with the freshly purchased winter gear, consisting of a bright and colorful puffer jacket, some water-proof snow-pants, mittens, and some "shoe-covers" to go over his pink boots. The reason he was still cold? It was because he was outside in a terrible snowstorm. A snowstorm in the middle of a major city, true, but still a snowstorm. And there was nowhere for him to find shelter. He didn't know anybody in this town, and he didn't have enough zeni to stay in a hotel. As such, he was wandering around... ' Oooookay Speenatch. Just keep wanderin' around. Keep movin'. Movement equals warmth, movement means I keep goin... and if I pump some ki up, I can stay a lil' warmer...' Moving and using his energy helped, but not by a lot. It was still terribly cold, and that was without the biting winds and piles of snow coming down from the sky. Yup... As he started making his way past some townhouses, Speenatch's shaded eyes turned to get a good look at them. ' Dammit, I'm in the 'burbs now... I'll hafta try n' find my way back downtown... unless this is one o' them housin' developments that's a block away from the city itself... I don't even know anymore.' What he did know was that it sure was cold. And he was far away from shelter still, or at least a place he could actually use as shelter. Even if he kind of recognized that energy he was sensing coming from one of the many little townhouses... [Tags: Chai ]

"Chai's Dialogue" 'Guardia's Telepathy' 'Chai's Thoughts' 'Guardia's Thoughts'
<< Previous ThreadICE TO MEET YOU
Chai found little to focus on as he relaxed in his home, and his senses drifted. Soon enough, his single eye would snap open when he picked up a very familiar energy nearby? Where had he sensed this signature before...? Trotting to the window and peering through the glass, the goat zoan caught eye of the same human that helped him out with that bank robbery in the city awhile back! And Chai, of course, was always willing to help out an ally in need. Sliding back into the depths of his home, the goat turned to Guardia, whom was now lying down half asleep on the bed. "Guardia! I need your help!" Chai walked over to the sword, shaking him a little. Guardia slowly opened his eye, irritated that he had been awoken from his slumber. '...Eh? What is it?'
The sword questioned telepathically. Gesturing outside, Chai would speak once more. "You remember that bank robbery that got out of hand?" Guardia narrowed his eye, not sure where Chai was going with this. 'Yeeeees?' The sword spoke in a questioning tone while Chai shook his head, speaking once more. "I'm sure you remember that human I helped out then. The one who brought those robbers to the hospital? Well, he's out there now, probably freezing half to death!" Guardia lolled over to the side, letting out a quick grunt. 'And I'm assuming you want me to go out there and get him?' The sword spoke in a tired, strained tune. Chai nodded, earning a groan from the sword as he floated into the air. That human was one of the only sane ones that didn't do poses in Guardia's eyes. As an inanimate object with no nervous system, the cold had no affect on the sword. Opening the window with his telekinesis, causing the wind to howl into their home, Guardia would fly outside while Chai closed the window behind him.
'Huuuuuuumaaaaaaan!~' Guardia's singsong voice would echo in Speenatch's mind. A rainbow glow could be seen quickly corkscrewing over in the midst of the storm as Guardia approached, floating over and coming to a stop in front of Speenatch. 'Oi, human! Remember me?' The powerful demonic sword questioned, doing a quick flip in the air. 'Me and my partner- Chai, the goat dude- helped out during that whole robbery fiasco, if you don't recall.' Guardia spoke, shaking some snow off of his form. The wind howled ominously, oddly reminding Guardia of the black wind that roared when they escaped from their home universe.... Shaking off those unhappy thoughts, the telepathic sword would speak once more to Speenatch. 'That's besides the point! Would you like to come to our place to wait out the storm? Mi casa es su casa!' The sword spoke. Should he get some sign of affirmation from Speenatch, the sword would nod and fly off to the entrance of their home, using his glowing blade as a beacon for the human to follow. Whipping the door open with his telekinesis, the blade would await his ally to follow, should he have accepted the sword's offer in the first place.

Speenatch just kept trudging through the snow as Chai and Guardia had their little discussion. If he'd been paying attention, he would have definitely detected their power... but at that moment, he was more focused on trying to find his way back to a part of the city that he knew. Well, knew was such a strong word. "Had been to before" would have been a better way of phrasing.
Hence why he ignored the sing-songy voice that rang out in his head at first.
'Aw great, now the voices I'm hearin' ain't mine. Guess that means that I'm goin' crazy...'
He kept walking for a few steps, ignoring Guardia... until the glowing, rainbow-colored blade whizzed and spun towards him. He turned both of his mundane eyes towards it, along with his metaphorical "third eye". Then he spent a moment freaking out about the ungodly powerful object hurtling towards his body. He froze, unable to bring himself to move out of the way of the hurtling sword. He tried not to scream when it stopped on a dime right in front of him.
As it was, though, he spent a few moments just standing completely still with a fearful expression on his face as the sword spoke. Via telepathy, it seemed.
Speenatch thought to himself (he hoped), 'Oh good, I ain't crazy... Er at least not that level o' crazy yet.' After taking a moment to calm down, and remember that fiasco back in Satan City... He listened to the sword's offer.
It wasn't a half-bad one. And if he wasn't hallucinating everything, it meant a chance to stay warm. A chance to stay out of the cold. How could he refuse?
"Yeah su-" He cleared his throat, trying to play off his use of his natural voice as something being wrong with his throat. "Yeah sure. That sounds purty nice, actually. If that Zoan partner of yers don't mind, that is."
After giving his reply, he followed Guardia towards the little townhouse. And when the door opened, he stepped inside, after trying to shake off some of the snow that had started to pile up on his shoulders. Once he got into the warmth, his body shivered. The contact with the hot air on his cold skin reminded his body of how low its temperature had gotten. Once he shut the door behind himself... he just stood there. Basking in the warmth for a good moment or two. He didn't even take off his coat or insulated pants. They helped him to warm himself...

"Chai's Dialogue" 'Guardia's Telepathy' 'Chai's Thoughts' 'Guardia's Thoughts'
<< Previous ThreadICE TO MEET YOU
The human seemed to have a cold or something, suggested by when his voice changed when he cleared his throat. Tilting his hilt in confusion for a moment, Guardia would shake it off as nothing for now. The sword would then fly to their humble abode, swinging the door open and watching as the human headed inside... Huh. They didn't get his name yet, did they? Quickly following Speenatch in and shutting the door after a brief power struggle with the wind, the sword would let out a telepathic sigh, closing his eye before peering out at the raging storm outside. 'Wowie. It's really rough out there... Say, what were you doing out there in the first place?'
The sword stared outside and spoke. The gale howled outside with the violence and raw power of an angry demon. The windows rattled and the wind gusted down the chimney bringing it's iciness to the room, causing the sword to shut the flaps to the chimney with his telekinesis. The house creaked under the strain- Guardia could only describe it as like being trapped in a lion's roar. Thankfully their humble home provided shelter from the storm outside. Shaking some snow off of his form, the blade would speak once more to the human. 'I'm Guardia. Demon in a sword- don't ask how. And you are?'
Meanwhile, Chai had taken off his trenchcoat and parcels, letting the snowy clothes rest and dry in their closet. The goat wore his sleeveless gray shirt with a white zipper, and his green pants, brown belt, and leather bracers, of course. His feet padded against the ground for a moment before the seven-foot-tall rounded the corner, ducking around a door frame to avoid his horns scraping the top.
The one eyed goat eyed the human before a friendly smile crept across his scarred face. "Howdy! I'm Chai. I see you've already gotten acquainted with my partner." The goat spoke, trotting over and slipping his hands in his pockets. "So, uh, while you're here, can I get you something to eat? And what brings you out to the North Capitol?" The goat questioned, tilting his large head to the side and letting his ears droop.

Speenatch gave a smile while awkwardly standing there. On whatever served as a floor mat inside, coat and pants dripping wet as the snow and ice that had coated them began to melt. His mullet-mane and goatee also started to get a bit wet for the exact same reason. After the one-eyed goat-man made his way into the room, the far shorter human took a moment to think to himself... ' Dagnabbit, I never realized how frickin' tall he is. Guess I wasn't ever really close enough ta figure out more'n he was taller than me.' The far shorter human, who seemed to be about five foot two when his hair wasn't taken into account, eventually answered. While thumbing over at the sword. " Oh good, so I ain't quite kookoo. Thought I mighta been goin' a lil' crazy-daisy, what with hearin' the voice in ma noggin'." To emphasize his point, he moved his hand to point his index finger at his skull. And waggle it in circles. Of course, to the uninitiated, his strange choice in vernacular (along with the Satan City accent) might have done much more to give the impression of insanity than hearing voices. Or silliness. At the very least, some might have found it confusing. Without taking off his coat, or moving away from the mat/carpet/bare floor that he was standing on, the man then continued. " Now, ta answer yer questions... startin' with Guardia's... Most folks call me Steel. Mister Steel. Nice ta formally make both of yer 'ackooaintunses', now... as fer yoo!" He paused and pointed his finger up at the goat-zoan that towered so high above him. Then his face broke out into its usual, goofy grin/smirk as he pulled the hand back to adjust his shades. " If yer offerin', I'll take whatever I c'n get that ain't berries n' twigs. Oh, and uh... before I go answerin' why I'm here..." He gestured to the coat, pants, and shoe covers that he still wore. " Ya mind if I take my coat n' stuff off?" Tags: Chai
