The Crowd cheered and jeered as the fin-headed Namekian Warlord stepped onto the stage. His appearance to the crowd seemed to be incredibly mixed. Some thought he was great and powerful; others considered him a coward for his tricks in the last round. Regardless, he was fulfilling Alaistair's wishes. His finely tuned ears picked up some of the murmurs in the crowd. A few hellish denizens in the crowd were curious as to who he worked for. The talking was good enough. If he at least made it to the semi-finals, people would come to Alaistair soon enough.
His eyes scanned the arena. Apparently he'd be fighting Sagi Shi. The mere thought of it was laugh-worthy. The Ogre was incredibly powerful in the magic department, but even the wisest wizard in the world wouldn't be able to do much if his head was being knocked off by a warrior.
Xylo waited for his opponent patiently. The Ogre would show up eventually. Once he did, the Namekian would try to squeeze some fun out of the situation. Surely using Sagi Shi as a punching bag wasn't his only merit.
Sagi Shi entered the arena, walking up the small steps and onto the tiles. It seems more than a few fans were surprised a mere Ogre made it this far. A sly grin came across his face. Plato wasn't going to be happy when he finds out that Sagi Shi wasn't speaking the truth entirely. The Oni's eyes trailed across the tournaments stage looking for his opponent. It stopped, his gaze falling on Xylo. The Oni smirked and approached him.
Sagi Shi craned his neck up, staring at the large Namekian. "So I see...we both got passed opponents who both far surpassed us in strength...." The Ogre grinned. "Before we start, I hope you know I'm aware that my chances of winning are relatively low. Not only are you powerful, but you have wits too."
The Ogre slowly hovered and floated back to his side of the ring. A purple aura engulfed him and his power shot up too 4,400. He furrowed his white hued eyebrows and narrowed his eyes at the Namekian.
The Ogre stepped onto stage, another eruption of cheers coming from the crowd. It seemed Sagi Shi was quite popular among the small fries in the crowd. The Mazoku chuckled, cracking his knuckles as the Jobless Wizard complimented Xylo's cunning. "Flattery will get you nowhere," he said sternly.
As they awaited the gong, Xylo suddenly heard the familiar voice of his demonic compatriot. Alaistair complimented his theatrics, causing the Namekian to grunt in response. "Fair enough. I'm not fond of trickery, anyways. Do me a favor, will you? Keep an eye on my brother, Helix. That blithering oaf somehow got himself dragged into this tournament, and our souls just so happened to be linked. I have to guess that If he doesn't have enough energy to escape, neither will I. Make sure he doesn't over-exert himself, got it?"
Suddenly the gong rang, and Sagi Shi's power doubled! Xylo lowered his stance, spreading his legs wide, and baring his clawed hands to his opponent. "You've got the first move, Ogre." His Ki Aura burned to life around him, a scowl appearing on his face. This would be a quick bout if Xylo actually tried, but perhaps testing the extent of Sagi Shi's ingenuity would be worthwhile for the future.
Sagi Shi smirked slightly at the Namekian's quip. "You think I'm trying to flatter you? Increase my chances of winning by kissing up to you?" The Oni snorted. "Why, I'm well aware your intellectual skills match up with your talents as a warrior. As I said before, I don't have the slightest chance of coming out victorious." The Oni grinned. This was going to be a tough match. Not only was Xylo powerful in body, but he was also powerful with his mind.
Sagi Shi nodded at the Demon Namekian's request and immediately got in a fighting stance. His knees bent slightly and his fingers curled a bit. His purple aura danced around him like a wild fire. It licked his skin for a few moments as the ogre crouched down even more, furrowing his snow white eyebrows. The oni kicked off, a gust of wind was left in his tracks. He skidded against the floor on his thigh and fired a yellow ki blast towards Xylo's face. Immediately, he pounced up and attempted to knee the large Nameks gut.
Xylo grinned as Sagi Shi raced forwards. Despite the canyon-like gap in their power, the Ogre had quite a bit of speed behind him. Perhaps he'd be more than just cannon fodder after all. Sagi lobbed an orb towards Xylo, which the Namekian batted away with ease. He took a step back as Sagi Shi leaped towards him. The Ogre's knee came forwards, but Xylo was able to catch it quite easily. He'd attempt to tighten his grip to make sure Sagi wouldn't move away, but if that failed, he'd simply await Sagi's next attack.
"You've got some quick feet, boy. Perhaps you'll make a good messenger."
Should his grip on Sagi Shi hold, he'd spin the Ogre around a few times, before releasing, sending him flying towards the edge of the ring. It'd be up to Sagi Shi to keep himself from flying onto the grass and losing.
Sagi Shi's knee came straight towards the Namekian after his Ki blast was swept aside. Unfortunately for the Ogre, his knee was caught easily. It wasn't much of a surprise to the Oni, but he was really hoping that plan would work. Like a fool, he didn't come up with a back up strategy in case that went haywire. He knew he'd need to fix his mistakes next time around.
Sagi Shi didn't have much time to dwell on those thoughts as he was hurled towards the end of the ring! His eyes widened. He began to fly back, but the speed he was thrown at merely slowed his fall. He started rapidly firing ki blasts to slow his momentum. The blasts hit the walls and tournament floors, though he made sure not to hit anyone watching, making the blasts fly over head. "Damn damn damn! Damn it!!!" Rubble was shot everywhere and a bit of dust lingered around. Suddenly...it would appear...Sagi Shi hit the floor...?
The crowd roared in cheer for Xylo's immediate victory, before Sagi Shi yelled out. "WAITTTTTTT!!!!" The Oni's voice boomed. The crowd fell silent, staring at him. He grinned at Xylo, a look of struggle on his face. "Dont...count me out just yet....Namek..." It appears his foot fortunately landed on a piece of rubble. "The rules...stated I couldn't fall out the ring...this is part of the ring...which technically means I'm not out yet..." He floated back up before landing down on the tournament stage.
His white hair swayed in the wind as he glared at his opponent. "I absolutely can not allow him to make the first move...with the power scale in his favor, I can't play the defensive...though, with the right tactics...the offensive might just work..." He thought. The Oni took a deep breath, concentrating. And again, with a burst of speed, ran towards him again. He jumped up to his face and put the back of his left hand in front of his face. He wiggled his fingers and slowly moved it to the left side, hoping to draw Xylo's attention to that hand. Whether or not he'd fall for the trick, Sagi Shi would swing his fist right between his eyes and above his nose bridge. "Don't underestimate me!"
Sagi Shi barreled through the sky, and though his attempts to stop himself were valiant, it seemed he had indeed been rung out. The crowd was ecstatic, but Xylo was simply disappointed. "To think I expected something from you." He spat on the ground, scoffed, and began to walk away...
Just before he took his first step out of the ring, Sagi shouted from across the arena. Xylo turned, and noticed that the sneaky little Wizard had created something to land on! The Mazoku spun around on his heel, smirking as Sagi landed back onto the stage. "Perhaps my judgement wasn't misplaced after all. You've got a brain hidden under all that hair of yours."
Xylo awaited Sagi Shi's next move patiently, but he wouldn't have to wait long. The Ogre rushed in. Hopping into the sky, Sagi placed his hand right in Xylo's face, confusing the Namekian for a moment. "What the-?!" With a bit of theatrics on Sagi Shi's part, the Mazoku was confused for just long enough that the Ogre's punch landed cleanly. Xylo would skid backwards on his feet for a moment, before stopping a few feet away from his foe.
He took a breath, spitting out a small glob of blood as he looked towards Sagi. "That one stung a bit."
Without another word, Xylo would extend his arm outwards, allowing it to snake out towards Sagi Shi! The elongated limb would try to slap Sagi across the face like a whip, before repeating the action a second time. Once finished, the arm would retract to normal size, most likely before the Ogre would be able to retaliate towards it.
"Heh..." Sagi Shi slowly floated back down, his feet tapping against the floor of the stadium. He wondered if he'd ever get another chance like that. After that one, it's most certain Xylo would be having his guard up. Before he knew it, Xylo took the offensive. His arm stretched across the space between them and slapped Sagi Shi right in the face! "Egh!" He staggered, to the point where he was going to fall. He brought his arm to his face, shielding it. The arm slapped against it, causing him to stagger backwards before he gathered himself.
He narrowed his eyes at him, wiping some blood from his lip. "Think...you mustn't allow yourself to panic...be rational and think...what advantage do I have over the Namek--wait..Namek...." A sly grin crept onto Sagi Shi's face. He slowly brought his fingers to his lips. He took a slight breath, before he blew into his fingers. A high pitched whistle would emit in the air, in efforts to stun the Namekian's ears.
Working for Yemma, he took on all sorts of souls. Including Namekians. And besides, he was in HFLL by the time realigner red destroyed Namek. He knew a bit about a few races. With this advantage going on, he'd rush at the Namekian, his purple ki flaring around him. He raised his palm up slightly, red dust forming. He raised his palm slightly, the dust sharpening and hovering a bit in the air. He pushed it at Xylo, the attack soaring towards the Namekian. Should he hit, it'd dig into his flesh and begin dealing pain from the inside. --
[N1] Pained Paralysis Fired at Xylo: 1,386 PL coming your way...!
As Xylo's arm retracted, he couldn't help but smirk. He might have been toying with the Ogre, but even still, Sagi Shi was doing exceptionally well. The Mazoku folded his arms across his chest, the leather of his jacket crinkling as he watched Sagi carefully.
The Namekian's ears twitched -both in curiosity and fear- when Sagi Shi's whistling began. The sound caused his body to react strangely. "Urghhh... What the hell...?" A sudden, sharp pain coursed through Xylo's head, stabbing at him like a serrated dagger! He yelled out in pain as the sound penetrated his ears. Xylo fell to his knees, cracking the tiles beneath him due to the sudden drop.
"MY GOD! IT'S LIKE THERE'S ONE DRILL GOING IN ONE EAR, AND ANOTHER DRILL GOING IN THE OTHER EAR! AND THEY'RE MEETING IN THE MIIIIIIIIIIIIDLLEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
With his body completely incapacitated, Sagi Shi's next attack landed without issue. The strange dust beam pierced Xylo's skin, digging through his body, and adding to his pain three-fold. The sound still ringing in his ears, Xylo did the only thing his mind could think of, and forcibly ripped his own ears off. The lack of sound was jarring, but the immense pain he'd just caused himself was much more pressing.
He panted heavily for a moment, before slowly taking to a stand. The Namekian stared at Sagi Shi, his gaze like death itself. "Gonna... Break... YOU!"
With a massive burst of Ki, Xylo's body was wrapped in his malicious purple aura. He raised his right hand, and with little fanfare, he fired a barrage of energy attacks at Sagi Shi, intent on ripping the Ogre to shreds for his abhorrent attack.
[KP: 0/3] Fired [MP3] Scatter Shot! 100% Charged for a damage potential of: 3,565,836! Scatter Shot split into 15 orbs, each with a damage potential of: 237,722!
"Xylo, that is too much power," Alaistair shouted in a message to the Namekian! Truth be told, Alaistair wasn't paying too much attention to Xylo's match, but the sudden surge of power from Xylo's ring brought it back. Unfortunately, that message would be too late! How would his opponent handle the attack?
I will return... And when I do, Life will prosper in the universe... UNDER MY IRON FIST!
Sagi Shi grinned. His attack was a success...however...things began heating up real quickly. Xylo, unable to bare the pain, RIPPED his own ears off! Sagi Shi recoiled in shock. This guy was insane...! And before he knew it...his power flared. Xylo was going to kill Sagi Shi! The Ogre's heart raced. A cold sweat ran down his face as he cowered back in what he felt was fear, but too prideful to admit it. It felt like it was in slow motion but...15 blasts rushed at him! "...Think....calm down and think...." He snapped his eyes shut and balled up his fists tightly before a blue light engulfed him...and then....he was gone! The attacks rained against the stadium floor, and walls, exploding the area of impact.
Smoke filled the arena. There were murmurs and mumbles in the crowd, and those who could sense ki were confused. When the smoke cleared up...Sagi Shi was no where to be seen! Everyone began talking amongst themselves on rumors on what could have happened. Some believed he was blasted into nothingness. Others believed the fight was staged. Whatever the reason...Sagi Shi was gone. ---
Ogre Trait Used: Trip to the other side. (Consent from Bing to dodge the attack)
Xylo's attacks exploded upon the ground, causing an enormous explosion which rocked the whole arena! The Namekian panted heavily as he lowered his hand, his senses telling him that Sagi Shi's Ki had completely vanished. Xylo frowned. The Ogre hadn't died; he'd left somehow. Magic of some kind was used, and quite cleverly at that.
As Xylo's ears regenerated, he heard the voice of Alaistair permeate through his mind. He grunted, popping the collar of his leather jacket as he hopped out of the arena. "Shut up, old man."
The crowd was in shock, but quickly recovered, letting out a great cheer. Xylo was glad he had advanced to the next round, but something about his battle nagged at him.
"Damn Ogre... Exploiting such a weakness..." His scowl shifted, becoming a cocky smirk. "I suppose I should thank him. Now that I've been made aware of that flaw, I can work on removing it as an issue entirely."
He stared down at his feet. One of the ears he'd ripped off earlier had fallen to the grass he stepped on. He picked it up, and tossed it into the stands. "I wonder if Helix will be willing to assist me..."
PL Please! Will put this up in TTG when I make a King Kai post
Alaistair blinked several times, seeing that Sagi Shi was missing! Not even an imprint was left of him. Something about this struck Alaistair as odd, as booing and jeers boomed around at Xylo. Meanwhile, Xylo called him an old man, and tried to tell him to shut it.
"... Love ya too, Xylo."
