Toma soared through the air, high above Planet Earth. He was scanning. Searching for something. He didn’t know what, but he recalled the little Namekian’s words about a “lookout” of some sort that lived in the heavens. Toma couldn’t go to any other dimensions, so really, searching the skies for anything unusual that the Kami of the planet lived on was the only real option open to him. Not that he minded, however. It was the only chance he had left of finding the Dragon balls to restore his home world to the way it was before he had turned into a great ape.
His eyes scanned the sky around him as he flew, before he saw something in the distance. Something floating. It seemed to be shaped in a semi-circle, from what Toma could see. There wasn’t much to it other than htat, for Toma was simply too far away to see. He increased his speed, his Aura flaring to it’s fullest and he flew closer and closer to the mysterious structure. Was this it? Was this the lookout that the Kami lived on? It certainly made sense from Toma’s point of view. A floating building, with nothing holding it up! Not even a tower of some sort! But then again, that made sense as to why, considering most humans didn’t seem to know about this place.
Toma changed course to fly directly upwards once he was under the lookout. He flew up to the floor of the lookout, flying over the edge and his aura dissipating to land on the surprisingly solid ground that the lookout had. He looked around the area White tiles, a building of some sort, threes, flowers… it seemed like someone used to live up here. Toma was becoming more and more convinced that this was the place where the Kami lived that Milac had told him about by the second. He was sure this was the place. After all, why would some random floating building be here otherwise?
Toma cast out his senses as he looked around the area. No Ki signatures… odd. Why couldn’t he sense anyone? Shouldn’t there be someone up here? “Kami? Hello, is anyone up here?” Toma shouted out as he began to walk towards the temple building that sat upon the lookout. The wind blew across the top of the lookout, but Toma noted that it was much less powerful than it would’ve been if he were lower towards the ground.
Toma looked up at the white temple-like building after he got close to it. It looked old, worn down… almost as if it had been abandoned for centuries. Like nobody had been here… perhaps what Milac said had been mere legend. No, there was a shread of truth to this tale! Someone had lived here at one point! And it had to have been the Kami, considering that the tale Milac had told him matched what he was seeing before him.
Toma walked into the temple, and turned left and began to walk down the hallway. He came across a room that looked like a kitech. It was full of pots, pans, a table and some old bags of food that hadn’t been touched in a long while. He decided that he best not eat that food. Who knows how sick it might make him?
Turning back, he walked down the hallway that lead from the entrance to the right, and he entered into another room. This room appeared to be a storage room of some sort. He looked around, curiously. There were some odd things here. He looked around the room. A fan some sort, a barrel of some kind of water… then something caught his eye. A small glass display case with a statuette of a serpent-like dragon inside of it. Toma walked towards it, leaning down to get a better look at it. He didn’t dare touch the item, as he didn’t want to risk breaking it. He was sure of it now! The Kami lived here, or had lived here at one point. After all, why would Milac speak of a magical dragon and a lookout in the heavens, only for Toma to come here and find a statuette of a dragon and the lookout? It all fit just too damn perfectly! Toma walked back to the entrance of the Temple shortly after admiring the dragon statuette, and he walked deep inside the main part of the structure. He looked around, spotting the typical things. A few tables and benches, some beds in another room he saw. Obviously this place was designed to house more than one person should it ever be necessary.
But then, something caught his eye again. He walked over to a door that didn’t seem to lead anywhere. He put his hand on the door handle, and he tried to pull it open, but the door was locked. And he got the feeling that he shouldn’t just blast the door open. That’d just be rude towards this place and whomever lives here. Toma thought that maybe either nobody lived here, or they were just out. He hoped it was just the second option.
After that, he managed to spot a set of stairs leading into the lower levels of the lookout. Toma made his way down the stairs to see what was down there. The place seemed to go on forever, somehow being bigger on the inside than it was on the outside! How was that even possible?!Toma didn’t feel like wracking his brain for the answer to this question, so he flew his way back upstairs before walking back outside. He took one last look at the temple, before smiling. Yeah, he’d be coming back here again for sure.
Toma had to go find Milac. This was huge news! He walked to the edge of the lookout, before jumping off again, heading back down to the planet below once more. Oh, he was so very excited to get this quest started!
