Duri watched as his Ki Ball overpowered the mans beams. A cut then formed on the mans cheek, which soon bled. Duri smirked. "Well I'm off to a good start." Duri watched as Callion raised his hand and spoke, asking for a moment from fighting. "Is he tired already...?" Duri watched as the man unslung a bag off his shoulder, putting it against the wall. "Oh yeah, that thing..." Duri watched as he put down his sheath too, which was on his back. Duri assumed the sheath held a sword out of instinct, not putting to much thought into it. "So, are you done yet?" Duri floated in the air, in position waiting.
Callion made sure the stuff was securely in place before turning back around to face the floating man. Giving the man a low bow, Callion said "Thank you," before straightening his spine and getting back into his fighting stance. He was a bit surprised, to say the least. He had expected the man to attack him while his back was turned. Callion chalked it up to another instance of him assuming and being wrong.
Callion waited a moment, before rocketing toward the man, flying at him with incredible speed. As he approached he spun his body a bit, and extended his right leg, spinning his body clockwise with the hopes of landing a kick to the man's left temple!
Purika [KP:3/3] Recap: Callion launched forward, and aimed a heel kick to the man's left temple, with his right foot.
Duri watched as Callion turned around, before momentarily bowing and thanking him. "That wasn't necessary, but ok..." He watched as Callion got back into position, while he was still in one he could call his own.
Dui would watch as Callion soon charged at him at great speed, but not enough for Duri to not keep up. Duri soon hunched out of position as the man swung, before gathering a quick pile of ki in his body before releasing it as an explosion. He was attempting to knock the man back and follow up with an attack afterwards.
Whether the man was knocked back or not, Duri would quickly raise his right hand into a straight position, revealing the palm of his hand facing towards the man. Quickly, Duri would gather energy in his arm section before firing off a grey energy wave of ki. He would be attempt to hit the man with this ki wave.
Callion had expected the kick to be dodged, or outright blocked, so the man ducking out of the way was hardly a surprise. Although the sudden burst of ki had certainly caught him off guard. Thankfully, his reaction time was not hampered by these weighted dampeners.
In a brief second, Callion retracted his leg, and put both his right knee and lower leg, along with both arms in front of himself in order to shield his body from the burnt of the blast. Callion was indeed knocked back the by the burst of power, as he flew back about five or six feet. Thankfully, the young warrior was able to stop himself before he eventually slammed into the opposite wall.
Once Callion had righted himself, he spotted the man performing the motions to signify a ranged attack, Callion lowered his now burned lower leg, though the pain was hardly enough to keep him down. His two forearms stayed up, however, in order to block the incoming ki wave. As it slammed into his forearms, burning the skin, Callion shut his eyes from the pain. Or so it seemed. Callion actually began to power up his eye laser, under the guise of anguish.
Purika [KP:0/3] Recap:Callion is tanking the ki wave to immense pain, and is now charging his [MP3] Super Eye Laser!
Duri watched in excitement as Callion tanked both of his attacks. Duri smirked, watching as Callion closed his eyes right after. "I've already seen him fire some ki beams from his eyes, so I can assume he's about to fire them... I can check on my scouter lenses if he is charging one..." Duri's scouter lenses would scan the man, checking for a second presence. As to Duri's assurance, he found a second powerful presence. It had the same power level as him. "Well, I guess I should counter by charging my own!" Duri would then charge ki inside his body rapidly at his maximum, causing his muscle size to increase along with his height by a few inches. He reassumed his position as he knew all to well people could still attack while charging up attacks.
Callion's eyes remained shut tight, as this was the only way to charge his Super Eye Laser, but that didn't mean he was completely helpless. Callion was under the assumption that the man was none the wiser that he was charging his technique, but that opinion changed once he noted an odd occurrence. The man had stopped attack him. Callion floated in the air for a brief moment and didn't feel so much as a change in air pressure.
Callion reviewed the possibilities that this development held. Either the man had given up and forgotten to tell Callion, the man was trying to sneak up on him and attack him from behind, or the man was charging an attack of his own.
Callion weighed the probabilities of each of these in his head. The first option was downright ludicrous and mostly just Callion's rare optimism shining through. The second option was a little more valid but less than likely. Saiyans fought with honor most of the time and preferred to fight head on. So all that was left was the third option. Callion squinted his shut eyes. Time was now of the essence. The man had yet to move from the spot he had chosen thus far, so why should Callion assume that he would do any differently.
Callion turned his head to where he assumed the man had stayed and opened his eyes, unleashing two thick dark red lasers. They flew much faster than the previous pair of beams and were even hotter!
Purika [KP:0/3] Recap:Callion fired his [MP3]Super Eye Laser at 200% PL after charging! (18,096)
Duri charged his attack in his body, before two twin red lasers were fired at him from the freshly opened eyes of Callion. Duri was not going to release his attack just yet, remembering that last time he countered an attack it was severely weakened. Duri smirked as the beams charged towards him, raising his arms in front of his chest before crossing them over each other. He had some armor platings on his arm so the impact wouldn't hurt as much. In a few short seconds, the beams hit his armor platings on his forearms, which penetrated leaving 2 twin holes. Duri quickly set up a scatter shield of ki around his body, which transferred the damage from the ki beams around his body. Duri had taken several attacks multiple times stronger than this one, which had increased his pain resistance. This didn't mean that his body wasn't damaged though. Duri's skin burned, but his own ki was still charging deep within, with his muscle mass and size still increasing.
Duri's head rose up from behind his arm, looking at Callion. "Well, I'm sure that injured me quite a bit. Well we will see if you can hold yourself against what comes next." Duri would relocate all of his ki into the palm of his hand, holding his right hand out towards Callion. Duri would then fire a rapidly growing 15 feet ball towards Callion, in hopes of ending the spar.
Callion eyes widened with shock. The young warrior had actually managed to hit the man! But unfortunately, the attack had not been enough. The man across from him seemed to be much more resistant to damage than he had expected. Callion froze, though not in fear, more in anticipation.
Some deep hunger within him roared to life as the man poured most of his energy into this next attack. The hunger wanted to study the man's next move thoroughly so Callion stayed right where he was.
As the massive sphere came hurtling at him, Callion thought about taking the weighted dampeners off, even placing his right pointer on the release button of the left dampener, but decided against it. It would be completely disregarding the point of the weights if he took them off when things began to look rough.
Callion shut his eyes and tensed all of his muscles as the massive sphere made contact with him. He immediately rocketed backward, his outfit and flesh being burned by the sphere's burning energy.
His back crashed into the opposite side of the training room, and for a moment all he felt was oblivion.
Soon that moment ended, and Callion soon fell forward landing face down on the hard training room floor.
His outfit was all but burnt off save for the crotch area of his pants, and his two wristbands, which had quite a few scorch marks on them. His brown shaggy tail was in full view, lying limply pressed against the floor, between his legs. His body was covered in burns and the young warrior was bleeding profusely from almost every part of his body.
For all anyone in the room could tell, the young man was probably dead. Suddenly, the young man began to stir, and eventually, a low coarse groan could be heard coming from his body. A few moments later, the young warrior would start to move, and very gingerly begin to stand up again, groaning as he did so. As the young warrior stood back up, it was evident that he was doing so solely on willpower.
The young warrior was panting, though it sounded more like heaving with how coarse he sounded. Eventually, the warrior eyed the man who had challenged him and gave him a small smile. The young warrior then rose his right hand with his palm facing the man and said in a voice as grated as his body looked,
"You win. I can't keep going like this. Good job."
With that simple statement, Callion slowly made his way over to his gym bag and sheath that were pressed against the wall, wincing with each step.
Purika [KP:1/3] Recap:Callion decided to tank the blast and allow the fight to end. Well fought!
Duri watched, smirking as the Ki Ball hit Callion. "Well, that was faster than expected." Duri would watched as Callion rocketed into the other side of the training room, with his back towards the white walls. Duri watched as he fell to the floor, with some of his clothes burned and his skin looking irritated from the impact. "I wonder if I went to far...?" Duri got even more anxious as he was bleeding and partly burned. Duri would float down to the ground, a few feet in front of him. "Are you alright?"
Duri listened as Callion groaned before standing up shortly after. "Good, he's alive." Duri listened as it sounded like the man was heaving. This made Duri wonder, was this man on the brink of death? Duri's body was also giving out on him, he would have to go to the medical bay after this to help with his injuries sustained in this spar.
Duri watched as Callion smiled at him, holding his hand out saying that Duri had won. "He's a tough one like me... that's for sure." Duri smirked looking at Callion. "I'd consider it more of a tie, I'm pretty beat up too. You did a good job also." Duri watched as the man walked over to his stuff, going back to being serious. "Do you need any medical assistance?" Duri would cross his arm, looking at Callion.
Callion would look back at the man and be mildly touched that he seemed concerned, as made evident by him asking if he needed medical assistance. However, Callion would shake his head, still giving the man a small smile.
"I'll be fine," Callion said gesturing to his wounded and burned body. His skin looked pink and raw as opposed to its usual tan.
"I've healed from worse."
Callion would hold out a hand for the man to shake, white teeth showing under his grin. "My name is Callion, and it was a pleasure facing you in battle, Mister...?" Callion faltered at the end of his gracious statement as he had never learned the man's name.
In truth, Callion was kind of elated about losing to the man. The fire of determination to best this man had become a full on inferno! He would train and get stronger, and face this man again! The man may have claimed it was a tie, but Callion knew better. The man was just being modest. The desire to become stronger had entered Callion's heart before but never before had he wanted to become stronger solely because he wanted to defeat someone in battle. Callion's eyes twinkled in anticipation.
Duri watched as Callion shook his head, smiling and saying that he was fine. "That's the sign of a great future warrior." Duri scanned his skin, telling that the man was in quite a bit of pain at the moment. Duri would watch as the man held his hand out, before finally announcing his name. Duri lifted his right arm from it's folded position and put the left one back to his waist. Duri would reach his right hand out to shake the man's hand, before grasping it. "Im Du- Actually it is time for a name change, mine was kind of simple. I think I'll go with something like... Purika." The newly renamed Purika would then withdraw his right hand, before raising both of them to fold them back together again. Purika smirked. "Well, I suppose there's a new time for everything."
Callion would firmly shake the man's hand. "It was a pleasure to meet and battle with you, Mister Purika!" The young warrior was a tad confused about the man's mention of a name change, but he shrugged it off. He was used to people doing or saying odd things, thanks to his time on Earth.
"I hope we may have the fortune of battling again someday, and perhaps I will even defeat you then!"Callion said with a good-hearted smile, not at all upset or angry about losing. Once he finished speaking, the young warrior would give put his right fist against his left palm and lean forward, giving the man a bow.
Callion would then begin to walk over to the wall. "Ow. Ow. Ow," he quietly said to himself with each step. The swordsman had lied when he said that his wounds were not hurting, but he didn't want the man to feel bad. Plus, it would hardly look good to his new rival if he started moaning at the first sign of pain.
Callion, in a lot of pain, would sling his gym bag over his shoulder, and then wrap his sheath along his back. With more wincing, Callion would look around for the exit to the training room, and walk out of it, a trail of blood following after him. Once outside, his wincing turned into full on moans of pain, as the sand buffeted against his scarred and exposed skin. Callion powered up his aura of ki and rocketed off of the ground, flying away from the training room. His pain eased a bit as the sand was forced away by his milky white aura.
Eventually, Callion found a large cave amongst the desert's shifting sands. Entering the rock formation, Callion took a seat against one of the cave's walls, its cold rocky texture causing his pain to flare a bit, before washing over him like a pleasant bath. A sigh escaped Callion's lips as he took off his gym bag. Unzipping it, Callion would pull out his journal and his favorite red fountain pen. Opening to a blank page, Callion began to write in Saiyan, though his handwriting was messy.
Callion’s Log Entry 11
Today, I have received a harsh reminder. I have been reminded that while I may be evolving in terms of what I can do, I have grown quite slack in terms actual combat training. I must redouble my efforts if I am to truly be capable of defending the planet I hold dear, and the people I seek to protect. Whoever they may be. I have also made a new rival, my first and only. His name is Purika, and I shall train as much as need be in order to best him the next time we trade blows! I see now why my father was always so excited for a fight! Without the negative connotation of death, there is nothing to lose, and only more experience or even the joy of victory to gain! I await our next confrontation, Mister Purika! I shan’t lose!
Callion would then close the journal, and look at his burnt and bleeding body. Another sigh, this one less content would escape his mouth as he placed the journal and pen down, and began the slow process of changing clothes. He paused as he was getting redressed, and stared at the two dampeners, that were still on his wrists. Not a scratch on them.
"Well whattya know?" Callion said to himself, smiling, before continuing to get dressed.
Purika Exit Callion from thread! PL please, and I have the Heavy Weight modifiers on.
Purika listened closely as Callion said it was a pleasure to meet him, wishing to battle again someday. Purika would smile in return as Callion had smiled. "All right, it was a pleasure to battle with you too also." Purika watched as Callion prepared to leave, before Callion then exited the room. He watched as a trail of blood left behind him. "Maybe he doesn't want me to help him... well I can't force him." Purika sighed. "Well, there's no need to worry, he'll recover." Purika looked as his partners looked at him. "What're you staring at me for? I'll be alright, get back to training." Purika would then walk through one of the doors that exited the training room. Purika's scouter picked up that Callion was still in the area, but he ignored it. Purika proceeded to the medical bay, before hopping in a tank to heal his wounds.
