A small nod from the hybrid followed after Shemha's comment about the offer still being open. "I really appreciate it." he said once more, returning a smile back at her. In all honesty, Marcel didn't expect any of this happen as well. He first came into this ship with the idea of Shemha being a possible enemy to the planet after finding out her allegiance to the SSE. He even believed that he'd have to end up fighting her which would of led to broken bones, deep, painful wounds, or even death...for him. The idea of losing, or dying to her wasn't what he was worried about mainly due to him already knowing what the results would be if they ever went at it. He was worried that she'd destroy this precious planet....worried that he would have to try, and kill someone he cared for....
He was happy, very happy that it didn't have to resort to this. He'd never expect that they would have instead drawn closer, or at least that's what he think happened, to each other. Though one can never truly trust another, there was still faith which people had in others, and Marcel had his in Shemha, believing that she would do right, possibly even be able to influence this SSE in a positive way. Despite her past, and who she's with now, it doesn't make her who she is now. It's her that makes her who she is.
As the Majin offered Marcel something to eat he slowly shook his head before walking, a smile still upon his face. "Again, you're doing so much for me, and I have yet to do anything worthy enough for you in return." he stopped right next to her, facing the opposite direction before placing an arm upon her shoulder. "I should actually be going now. I've been enough of a bother....I also believe that I may have left the stove on back at the forest." he chuckled a bit before letting go of her shoulder, continuing to look forward. He took one step, but stopped, his smile slightly fading as it appeared that he began to ponder. Quickly, he turned around, and wrapped his arms around the woman's upper body, making sure to avoid her chest, resting his chin upon one of her slender shoulders. His eyes swayed to the side as he tried to make no eye contact with her. He couldn't believe what he was doing....embracing someone like this.
It was embarrassing, but it felt nice. A simple 'thank you' couldn't just make up for all the kindness this woman offered to him. He needed to express it somehow...and this is the best he could come up with. Letting go, he turned back around, not uttering a word as he looked down obviously too shy to say anything as he navigated himself out of the room, and soon out of the ship.
All this with a faint smile upon his face.
