How about we do something with this place rather then discuss ideas. Staff right now is garbage and I understand RL problems and such but come on guys your just sloppy and lazy. What you should do is promote those who are dedicated to this rp and let them run it if your going to be slack and making hollow promises. It's sad to see a place with so much potential die off because of a few lazy people in charge. You say this is a democracy which is a joke because it should not take weeks upon weeks to put up some new races and transformations. I just had brain surgery and Im more active here then the so called "staff" who have not shown me or anyone else a reason to stay here. If someone has an idea which is actually good it is shot down or forces to be made into something canon from DNS which is idiotic. That's why I see this place dying and fading away before the beginning of the new year and you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing that to happen, Bao. Krow out baybay!

Okay then.
Not sure exactly what your problem is. The staff have been active - in case you didn;t notice, I'd like to point out that a ton of threads have come up for grading and been sorted out. Bao is a busy man who has a lot of work IRL on his plate and your character application hasn't been the most straightforward one to go over. Then there's the fact that it is september, and many people are just starting back at school/college/university.
I get that you're frustrated with the delay but this outburst frankly seems uncalled for.

I think you're being precipitate when you state this site will die off. Fact shows that it's getting more members everyday and if you pay attention to the activity bar, it has a flow of about 20 members average every day. And you're being even hastier when you speak for everyone saying none of us have been given any reason to be here. I can speak for myself and I'm very much content with this community. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say it's not a bit frustrating if things take a bit long to be done. But new content? You can roleplay pretty well without it. Plus, the exact fact that this is a democracy will make such implementation happen slowly. Content must be thought thoroughly before added and then put to vote, before it is made official. So your statement is not valid, when you relate a democracy with things taking long to be put up. It is exactly what happens when you involve multiple people in the decision. If you want to speed the process up, why not try writting up content yourself and presenting it on the board, rather than wasting your time with this kind of post?
Also, you should make a stop and ponder about your ideas before you strike at people with disrespect. None of the staff here has a special position or reward other than the appreciation of the other members. This is a game, a place to have fun. No one should and no one will give up on their daily responsibilities to attend the need of those who can't wait, something I'm sure you would do yourself if you were part of staff. If you are unsatisfied, pm someone and be polite about your point. The entire time I've been here, not once I've seen anyone treat anybody badly or pose as better than anyone for the position they hold. You claimed you never had anyone on your side, but realize it won't be through attacking other members, admins or not, that you'll gather sympathy from anyone in the community. Everybody has their own time and no one has to stop somehting that is currently entertaining them to attend to your whims because you're unable to wait, like everyone else has been doing.

First off there is no reason for the staff of a site to keep members here orto any site. The members stay because they themselves create the experience and they stay for their own storylines. As for transformations and whatnot you said it shouldnt take weeks to put them up in a democracy. Well let me say this. The US Govt dont do shit and they have Years to get things done. So feel lucky we arent like that. If you leaving them delete your account and stop posting. Stop with the coming back leaving coming back circle of pity. I am sorry to be harsh but I have had members like you in the past on my own site and always they are just a constant headache and they wind up banned.

I'm going to be blunt Krow. Not everything can get settled upon in a few days. Y'know that old saying "Rome wasn't build in a day"? Same concept applies here. When I first made Kojima it actually took me talking with the entirety of the staff on a constant basis for 4 days straight before we could even get his RACE decided. Then there was the issue of his MECHANIC's that we had to discuss for another two. After that THEN they had to grade it which took ANOTHER 2 days. When Bao finally posted in it, It took yet ANOTHER 2 days for all the kinks to be worked out. After that it was the beginners post which took ANOTHER 3 days to get graded AFTER I posted it. All in all it took me almost 2 weeks to get Kojima fully approved and that was with me CONSTANTLY talking to staff about it the entire time we were in the cbox and literally nothing else. You say you understand that RL problems and such are a thing but what you don't understand is that Real Life takes precedence over an RP Forum, That's why Bao is the way he is. You try and use your brain surgery as an excuse of "Oh well I can be here so why can't they!".... Here's the issue with that.
College/Uni, Is A LOT more stressful and time consuming. After surgery you're sitting around resting and getting better, College/Uni/Schooling in general, You AREN'T sitting around EVER. You have homework you HAVE to get turned in on time, You have class projects, IRL friends, Girl/Boyfriends, ect. ect. Then you add in the stress of GRADES which, in a University, MUST be kept HIGH or you have a very real chance of being booted out. College is the same but to a somewhat lesser degree. I had a friend who was going to Uni and was a mod on a site, He had to forfeit his mod position because of how time consuming his homework was from just ONE class, In a university you have homework from MORE than just one. He had to spend the majority of his day doing homework every day simply because if he didn't he'd flunk and be kicked out.
That isn't even counting the jobs that people have to sustain this schooling or to keep their houses which take a minimum of 8 hours of your day in order to do which only leaves 16 hours... oh wait your schooling ALSO takes up to another 8 hours which leaves you with just 8 hours for homework, sleep, socializing ect. ect. unless it's Friday and you have the weekends off... oh wait then you still have WORK which, unless you have the weekends off, takes 8 hours out of your weekends a day for a total of 16 hours out of 48 that you're spending at least not near your computer. And this, of course, isn't even counting SOCIAL time with your friends and family. Special events you might be having, reunions with your old high school buds/enemies, Christmas, Hanukkah ect. ect.
My point is when you actually stop and think about how much shit goes on in the daily life of just someone who works an 8 hour shift when they get home their first though isn't going to be "Oh boy I need to hop on real fast and get to grading immediately and make sure they get it within just a few hours!" and the site probably isn't even something someone thinks of if they go to uni/college until towards the end of the day.
NOW, let's get onto the grading process since we haven't even touched on that. Assuming this person has both University AND a Job along with a somewhat okay social life, This'll leave them at the absolute MOST a few hours of free time to get on the site. Let's assume that this staff member has 3 hours online, He has RP's he's in and probably not just on this one forum. So he needs to balance RPing with Grading and other staff things that go on behind the scenes, Things like staff specific discussions about things ESPECIALLY apps. The app's aren't just graded by a single staff member... Ever. It's extremely rare for any one site to have only a single person per character app and 99.100% of the time they have a discussion about each and every one but only a single staff puts the final thoughts down. A lot of apps can bring up a lot of controversy and a lot of questions and when something like my character Kiba comes up, It can sap a lot of that attention away unintentionally. This was entirely my fault as I failed to clarify what her MP3 ability actually did and I apologize for this.
Overall please reread this several times so you can truly understand how hard a lot of the staff work to ensure you have a site to RP on. In the end, Without the staff, we wouldn't have this site to come to and RP on at all.

I think you are perhaps underestimating the workloads involved here However, your suggestion about promoting dedicated members to staff is a good one, it's why we already do that(if you review rules and information you can even see where staff election votes were passed). The latest two were Hyoza and Oguma, and other additional volunteers who haven't been as active/have been happy remaining as volunteer position. (We have a process in place for progressing staff ) We are in the third week of site patch and the polling it about to begin If you refer to the forum section you can see the full list of additional proposals as well as the aforementioned new race and transformations. Will take your critique on board however and endeavour to make general site tasks more efficient and quick. We are indeed in the process of implementing systems to that end, such as assigning specific staff members as moderators over particular sections. Dedicated volunteers are always welcome. Sometimes dramas can also divert staff attention for other scheduled matters, utilising the limited free time for those instead. ---- As for your comment about immediate action rather than discussion - In more traditional setups, all of the discussion is done behind the scenes Members are never made aware of how long something have been in the pipeline, and are only let in when it is dictated that this is how the new addition will work. Sometimes, even staff aren't let in, and one day the head admin just decides they are going to implement their idea effective immediately. In a number of ways this is more efficient, as all arguments, discussions or counterpoints can be pushed aside in a single post by pulling rank and telling members to either like it or lump it. What we strive for is a more open system where everyone can have their say and decisions are a community affair. The added openness means added processing time and a necessary slowing of pace. I may think something is fine for example... but things are by the book so it's not my role to dictate things differently from the rules decided by the community. Ideas aren't shot down, they are discussed and if showing enough support/options are voted upon That is the process for maintaining an open system - The community is it's own boss and it as a whole makes the decisions and rules, it is a little hard to argue that this isn't a fair and equitable process. lastly - yes, as a dragonball roleplay site we tend to encourage people to remain in the spirit of canon and make dragonball characters/races You can draw inspiration from whatever sources give you muse but dragonball is the name of the game and why we are all here . Gotta admit it would be a little odd if we advertised as a dragonball RP but were actually a crossover site XD
