Articho looked out over the long, winding, snake like road that made up Snake Way. He couldn't see how far the gray road extended into the golden clouds nor did he want to know. He hadn't asked any of the oni attendants and covered his ears when he heard anyone talking about Snake Way. All he needed to know is that it was long and absolutely nothing about the exact length. Better to just run without having a super large number stuck in his head as he ran. Speaking of running, though...
The hybrid looked past his torso down at the wispy ghost tail that replaced his feet. He couldn't very well run without legs and he would need his body back to get his legs back. The old pervert had told him that he could get his body back by concentrating Shoki, the mystical, afterlife energy that he really didn't know that much about or even what it was. He remembered that the old man had said he could harness it like ki, though Articho had never really studied the full extent of ki beyond its uses in boosting his physical prowess. He had had moments where he touched into the full extent of his power, but those were rather random moments and he didn't really know how he did it beyond emotional reactions. His brow furrowed. Maybe...
Articho closed his eyes, floating silently in front of the entrance to Snake Way. He focused, his mind retreating into the depths of his own body. A memory briefly crossed his mind, a memory of when he first learned to control his own ki output. How he had imagined it like a snake that he had attempted to wrangle. A strange thing to remember, but not entirely irrelevant. Feeling the Shoki within himself was not unlike his own ki and, given that his own ki wasn't there, it was rather easy to find. He imagined himself grabbing onto his flow of Shoki as if it were a snake, much like before. His brow knit in concentration as he attempted to wrangle and control it. He managed that part easily enough, though not that he had a hold on it, he wasn't sure what to do. The most complex thing he had ever made was a beam with his energy. His own body was something entirely different, but, then again, maybe it wasn't. Slowly, as if turning on a faucet, Articho let his emotions begin to flow out of himself. Anger at Walker for his unjust murder, desire to see his friends and family again, and his conviction to get back to Earth and warn everyone of the threat Walker might pose to their planet's safety. He wouldn't let himself be trapped in heaven as a ghost when the people he loved could be in danger.
Energy began to swirl around him as he focused his energy into reforming himself. Slowly, he began to feel more whole and solid as his Shoki energy converted itself into his natural ki. He floated upwards slightly, the energy forming an opaque white barrier around him. I have to get back, he thought as the swirling energy tightened around him. I can't stop fighting until everyone I love is safe. And nothing is going to stop me...
After a few more moments, the energy dissipated and Articho floated slowly back to the ground. He smiled slightly as he felt his feet touch down instead of a ghost tail. The hybrid looked down at himself, his smiling growing wider as he saw his black jeans and combat boots in place of the tail. In a flash of golden light, he transformed into his Super Saiyan state. The rush of power within himself lit a fire in his eyes and he turned his gaze to Snake Way. "Here I come, King Kai! Just you wait!" he shouted towards the far off entity. With a whoop of joy, Articho took off down the long, winding, snake like road that made up Snake Way, still Super Saiyan and ready to face any challenges ahead of him.
