After Holly's long adventure with her new friend Nai-Ran she awakened in her village on a grass mattress to find her dark skinned, green eyed friend Calla standing over her. She sat up in bed, gazed up at her, and said, "What happened?" She looked down and noticed she was in a bed in her village.
Calla who stepped back and stared at her said, "Oh, you fell asleep after you came back to the village unexpectedly, helped me with my problem, and brought a friend along for the journey, who I, um then directed away from the village."
Holly glared at her watching Calla as she pressed her two index fingers together and twiddled her thumbs. Her glare turned into a smile as she thought aloud, "Well, it cannot be helped. Nai-ran did travel a pretty good distance from her temporary home."
Calla nodded and said, "Yep, that's what she seemed to indicate when she asked me three days ago to point her home."
Holly slapped her face and sighed, "I've been asleep three days..."
"That's how long it takes to recover our power sometimes, but here let me give you something. It's a little Zeni I got for guarding the village and that I only got because I actually accomplished my mission of finding you. The people here were quite worried." Calla stated before reaching into the white dress she wore and pulling out a sack filled with Zeni. She plopped it down in Holly's hand then continued with the words, "It's not much Houri, but hopefully it's enough for repaying you for the thing you did for me yesterday."
Holly opened the bag and peered inside there was barely four hundred Zeni within it. She pulled back the draw string on it, set it on her bed's cushions and said, "It's enough my friend. I want to get some more rest so please let me do so."
Calla nodded once more and without another word scuttled out of the hut that was Holly's home in the Florian village. She stood on the balcony of the tree top house for a moment before jumping down and landing on the ground forty feet below it. She was sure Holly was going to be fine yet from now on she was going to have to at least inform someone that she was leaving. If she did not another panic would incur in the village and another long vigil to watch for her would happen once more. It was the real reason Calla had fallen asleep at her post. Not so much her narcolepsy yet because she worried for her friend's mysterious comings and goings.
