While most fighters would have been surprised to see someone seemingly regenerate from their blows, it only whipped Letu into a kind of frenzy. She was pushing herself to the absolute limit, each wound that closed being followed by another gash left by her blade. She darted around like a hornet, her path needing to take drastic swerves as to ensure more hits. It was clear that this was cause for her to not let up for even a second. Of course, at some point, she realized her attacks were doing very little. So, retreating quickly, she watched as his tail was reattached, and the wounds she had created closed!
Damn. This wasn't going to be so easy. And, as Walker closed the distance quickly, she realized that the subtle edge she had was suddenly gone. She knew that she wouldn't keep any kind of edge she had. But still, she wasn't going to give in. Her resolve to honor the legacies of the women she loved was too strong to let something like this stop her. As his body flowed and changed like it was made up of some kind of liquid, Letu growled, doing her best to remain on the defensive, but there was only so much she could defend against when her opponent was not subject to the limitations of a human body. Suddenly, she rapidly rose up in the sky, inverting with just as quick a movement, holding one hand out and firing a volley of low power ki-blasts! It wasn't likely to do much, but it was enough of a distraction for her to focus.
She was fighting an opponent that could flow like water. Getting in close was a bad idea, but it was also the only actual advantage she had, with how few moves she had. Still, at the very least, she had been complimented. She huffed and grinned a grin that was obviously the first she had given in quite some time. "Heh, I understand your hopes! Though, I don't think we stand on quite so even ground! Even discounting the normal power gap, I see that you don't have the same biological restrictions that I do! She said, her quiet voice carrying surprisingly well here. It helped that there was quite a bit of silence outside of the occasional energy burst and thunking noise of her blade connecting with the wood of her opponent's body. She was obviously stalling for time, but at the same time, at least attempting to make small talk. It felt..strange, to speak so casually with an opponent. Still, she could already feel her energy fully return. She was going to need to save it for now. She had a couple extra moves up her sleeves. The Solar Flare, for one. But..that wasn't what she was going to go for. She was going to use her ultimate attack, aside from the Kikoho. At this point, any idea was a good idea.

As the hurricane of Ki blasts arced down at him, Walker pulled his arms back and exhaled, a small cloud of steam emerging from his body. With a roar, his limbs split, then began throwing punches ahead of him, each blow slamming into a Ki attack. Plowing through, he emerged from the other side with eyes aglow. It was a wonderful feeling, pushing himself like this. Even with the artificial strength limitations, it was still a good fight so far. Letu was adjusting to the spar, something she didn't seem overly familiar with.
Chuckling at her assessment, he nodded. "I admit, this is true. Still, perhaps I should be fighting in a more aligned manner to yourself. I once attempted to use the sword, but it wasn't quite to my liking. Let me see...." Raising one hand, it flowed and warped, then solidified again. A pair of spikes extended from either side, continuing to lengthen and curve, until finally they stopped. With a crack, they bent in a long U shape, a vine connecting the pair. Placing his hand on the string, spiked arrows extended from Walker's hand. "A Bow vs. a Blade, then." From the front of the weapon, the edges were beveled by an unseen pressure, becoming sharp and pointed like a sword. "
"My Ki has returned, and I imagine yours has as well. I suppose we shall see how this resolves." There were a few options for how this could go, now. He was curious what Letu would choose, and how she would react. His mind raced, considering the options she had available, and how to react. She would respond in turn, and thus the dance continued. His hand released the arrows, and as they hurtled towards Letu, he could feel his face twitch. It was a shame he couldn't grin anymore, sometimes.

As Walker created a bow out of his arm, Letu scowled momentarily to herself, taking up the blade in a more traditional stance. She would have to deflect them, and if she had both hands, she could swing harder, if not a bit faster. She adjusted her footwork, chuckling when he mentioned how both of their Ki should have returned fully. But, before she could open her mouth, the volley of arrows were fired at her! She did fine for the first ten arrows. She ducked and weaved, and even managed to deflect a good number of them. However, there were more being launched her way still, and so she had to release her grip, holding one hand out to launch out a huge number of basic blasts! This was getting annoying. She figured that she would have to close the gap. So, sheathing her blade rather quickly, She started flying downwards rapidly, Ki charging into her hand as she flew, weaving and bobbing in her path to make it harder to get a lock on her. As she flew, a large amount of power was slowly focused into her hand. But she didn't yet let it expand outwards. That would have given walker enough time to dodge. As she got within ten feet of Walker, suddenly all the energy gathered into her hand expanded outwards, and she spun in midair, holding the arm out to her side as she ground her teeth against each other, the rotation completing as she attempted to outright slam the massive ball of energy down onto his head!
That wasn't it from her however, as she drew her blade, keeping the rotation going, she slashed out at him several times during this movement, aiming particularly to sever the bow so he couldn't fire any more arrows. She wasn't fooling around. She wouldn't stop battling until she couldn't move anymore, if she had to! Still, it was only now that she recognized how much of a liability it was to fight at close range while wearing her outfit. There was a rather large area that hung around her legs. If he was quick enough, he could probably grab it. Still, as the rotation finished, she kept pressing her assault, aiming to keep him from moving! She clearly wasn't one to waste time. She had taken the philosophy of the Crane School to heart. Overwhelm the opponent with as powerful of an attack as you could.
She hadn't quite been taught that by her two teachers, but they had left behind a rather large amount of books and research materials. She picked up what she could from there, and had learned quite a bit when she found the energy to do something. It was just a matter of applying it. She had to keep her guard up though. Walker was a dangerous opponent, with how he could make his body morph however he desired. This was a battle that normally wouldn't bode well for her, but it was more of a battle of wills. She understood this. She wasn't going to buckle under the pressure any longer. She would take up the mantle to honor the memory of the women she loved. She had decided on it.

The girl did well, knocking the arrows aside. Soon, she was forced to retreat from this attempt, using Ki blasts to meet his sharpened wooden spikes. Suddenly, with a charge, she began to head towards him, Ki gathering. He only had a moment to react, and when he did, it was a bit regretful. He hadn't really meant to do it, but his control over his Ki slipped. For one moment, his energy expanded a fraction. Not fully, but just enough. As she slammed her hand down, it was met with the expanding shield of his own aura. Ki Setting: 2,500,000 The blow still landed, but it was a mere fraction of what it would have been for him just before. Still, in this moment, he felt a strange... disappointment. Something in him balked at the idea of Letu winning. It wasn't competition, or a desire to beat the girl. That would be easy. As she battered at him, his arms whipping around to block, his mind considered. He could easily have outmatched her flat-out attack, if he had responded in kind. Even at matching levels of power. He could have dodged as well, returning fire with an equally powerful attack that she would be unable to defend against. Still, that wasn't the reason for his discontent. As he moved back, his body covered in scratches, he figured it out. He wanted it. In all his life, so far, he couldn't recall a time where he directly did something for himself. It was to protect others, or for revenge, or to train someone, or to stop a threat, or so many, many other reasons. He had not ever looked within and said 'This is what I want.' Chuckling sadly, he looked up. "I'm sorry, Letu. My selfishness and hesitation prolonged this. You gave your best. I shall as well. Keep challenging me until you can strike without hesitation, with the full force of your power. As it stands... I don't think you're ready to pass the Crane School onto others. Please...."Ki Setting: 157,000 He zipped forward, assuming a stance next to Letu, one hand lashing forward as a red glow emanated from it. "Prove me wrong." 'CANOPY WAVE BLAST'The sudden explosion of energy spat out in every direction, like a massive satellite dish of burning crimson. He went for a palm strike, somewhat regretting his actions during this fight. The girl had launched a 'Full Force" attack, and wasn't able to even muster a blow equivalent to her full powerlevel. That had been the straw that broke the camel's back. She couldn't overcome anyone if her only method of doing that was the Kikoho. Lowering himself, he waited to catch the girl, expecting her to fall from the cloud of smoke his technique had produced when it fired.

When her ball of Ki collided with walker's shield of aura, Letu was launched backwards by the explosion, as she would have been regardless. She made no attempt to stop this movement, flowing with it into a backflip, her sword making a cut through air as she landed on the air like it was earth, standing firmly. She could feel her stamina starting to fade, and her higher level of power along with it. She didn't even have time to register what was said before she felt a massive presence next to her. She barely had enough time to whip around and throw up a block with her sword before the palm strike hit, connecting with the flat of her blade now, rather than her body. That wasn't to say that she didn't take the damage. On the contrary, she felt every bit of the force that had been exerted on her. The explosion of power that followed knocked her out of her higher power form, tearing through it like it was nothing. However, even though Walker tried to catch her, it didn't matter. He had underestimated what a strike of that magnitude would do to someone who had become as light as she was now. She was launched back a massive distance, dropping towards the land of his castle like a rock. By the time he caught up to her, she would have bounced off of the ground at least twice. She was barely conscious.
Of course, while on the outside, she looked fine, if a little beat up, on the inside she felt entirely different. Now she felt absolutely worthless. She had given her all, found a reason to keep going even. She wanted this more than anything. And she had failed utterly. Her immense shame and sadness manifested on her form as a stream of slow moving tears on the body of someone who could barely move. She said nothing. She looked to the sky, but it was obvious she wasn't really there. She had lost not only the role she had fought tooth and nail to attempt to claim, but what little sense of self-worth she had left at this moment. To her, it didn't matter that it would have taken a miracle for things to go the way she wanted. Hell, it didn't even matter that this thing was stronger. No.
What mattered was that she wasn't even strong enough to stand up for herself, take the one thing that she wanted. This was supposed to be her personal path of redemption. Her apology for letting Kaula and Reikiko die. If she couldn't even muster up the strength to do that much, then what good was she? They were right to leave her behind. She would have just gotten in the way. More people would have died. That was the last thought that crossed her mind before she passed out, succumbing to not only her injuries, but to the darkness that she was now willing to welcome. It meant that she wouldn't have to deal with the shame of losing. That she wouldn't have to live with seeing someone else assume the role that she wanted to take, to make sure that it would be spread and given back to the proper people when that time came..
Letu has been defeated. PL reduced back to baseline levels.

The guilt of his choice gnawed quietly at Walker's gut, but there was no turning back now. Placing his hands together, he bowed to Letu. "I beg of you... do not let this break you. The strongest steel is that which has been tempered by fire." Lifting her now unconscious body, he began to fly back to her house, holding the girl bridal style. He did not speak the damning words, but in his mind, if this defeat broke her will, then the young girl was not ready to train others. She was in many ways still innocent, it seemed. Although, perhaps not perfectly so. She was a loved one of Kaula and Rei, after all. Physical might was less important than the drive to continue on, to him. Being unable to even muster a full-force attack was a worrying flaw in a fighter, one that would assuredly get her beaten by a more serious opponent. Laying her down within the house, he turned, moving out of the building. "Now then..." His hand clenched, and his magic whipped around his form, adding cloth in a sudden flash. When it faded, he was wearing a black top with a high collar and no sleeves, the crane symbol emblazoned in an emerald hue on the front. His lower half was covered in a long robe in royal purple, slit up the sides to allow his legs room to move. A white sash was tied around his waist, and a pair of bands covered his upper arms.
"I suppose I should dress for the occasion."
[Walker has claimed the Crane Master position.] [Thread Over]
