Maximillion
[Power Level: 8,200]
Smoke issued from the site of the spacepod landing, along with a thick cloud of dust and debris from the collision. As the pod slowly opened, even more smoke pluming from inside, the sound of someone coughing and wheezing could be heard from inside. Slowly, a large, thickly-built ebony man drew himself from the pod, immediately collapsing onto his knees as his body grew used to gravity once more, still coughing, and even wretching a few times. Fortunately, if there were any onlookers, most of this sight would be obscured by the particles in the air.
It continued like this for a few moments, before - in what appeared to be a mild temper tantrum - the man grunted, brows furrowing, and a violet glow enveloped his form, and the cloud of dirt, dust and debris cleared with his making a sharp swiping motion with his left hand, dispersing with such quickness as if it had never been there to begin with.
Still more coughing....the brushing of some tears out of the corner of the man's eyes....more wheezing...maybe a little crying... then the man got to his feet, the violet glow fading from around his form, and he looked up for the first time, to his surroundings.
"The ship said Earth, but where in the hell did it put me?!" He said, to nobody in particular. He turned and went to go back into the pod, perhaps to check the console for more information, but the door had already shut. Pushing a hidden console on the side - the button that usually opened the door - yielded no results, and after the third time, there was a loud ZZZZzzZZzZAPPPP crackling noise, and the door opened...but in the form of breaking off of it's hinges, and falling on the ground in a mangled wreck of it's former self. A thick plume of gray-black smoke was still issuing from inside the pod, but even as that familiar glow enveloped his form, and he tried to swipe away the smoke, more would fill in it's place.
"Aww shit, it's BROKEN!!!"
Easy come, easy go. Not all gifts last forever, y'know. The thought came, unbidden, to his mind as he backed away from the wreckage of his spacepod. He then crawled out of the medium-sized crater left in the wake of his pod, and came to stand on the grass beyond it, looking around.
Then, he saw it.... splintered wood, and what looked like some other broken bits of once-solid matter, partly cascaded into the crater, whatever it was...it had been damaged by the collision when Maximillion's pod had struck the Earth's soil.
And, next to it....an old-looking man, presumably the owner of the....thing.
Great. Now I'm breaking other people's things! He thought in exasperation. He slowly approached the man, running his left hand through his hair.
"Umm, hey....sorry 'bout that. This was my first time piloting one of these....." He pointed at the wrecked spacepod. "...umm, I can help you pay for anything I've broken, sir."
He was half bluffing. He did not have the kind of money to replace anything that might be broken, but if need be, he could take on some labor jobs somewhere to amass the funds to repay the man.
