The last couple of days were, to say at the least, interesting for the Hunter. He met 3 different people, each of which seemed to be troubled as much as he was with the law. Was this just the consequence of having become powerful or just his own decision making? It all started with his meeting of Akio Callahan, the saiyan Prince of Vegeta, as well as Houri and Shivera, a royal of Acrose. The hunter wondered if, by involving himself there, he was set down this path laid by one of the Great Serpents. "No... It couldn't be that simple," Pieter told himself. While he was one who believed in fairy tales, the portion of him set by his father caused him to, ironically, question those thoughts. The time of questions had passed, though! Today, there would be more training for him! To hunt a monster, he had to think like a monster! Being that he was intending to hunt those two, he had to learn their mentality without becoming like them. This was going to be difficult, being that he didn't want any attention being brought to himself by anyone searching for him. How would he do it, though? A growling stomach told him that thought could wait. The most reliable source of food, for him, would have to be fish. It was easily abundant, so long as there was a fresh water river, and it would help him quench his thirst too! The hunter shot up into the air, going several hundreds of feet so he could overlook the forest. The hunter scanned the area, blocking the sun by putting a hand over his eyes so he could see better. About a mile southward, the hunter could see the winding river bend. He sped over to the area, keeping high above so he could first test his eyes. He hovered over the pool where the water cascaded down, letting the sound envelop his ears. His gaze remained fixated down the river, keeping an eye out for odd, stream-line shadows shifting under the water. "There you are," Pieter shouted, swooping down like an eagle at a fairly big shadow that showed up! With a loud splash, he propelled into the cold water at the giant fish! It had been a cat fish, about fifty pounds in appearance, that the Hunter spotted! It didn't expect the sudden shifting of water, but it began to scramble for a nearby hole. The hunter, though, was moving too fast for it! He snagged the fish tightly and hurled it out of the water onto land! The fish flew out, with the hunter right behind it with a hunger crazed look in his eyes. He quickly formed his Tomahawk slasher and cut into the fish. The fish landed, dead on the shore line, not even getting the chance to squirm back to the river. Pieter quickly sped around near by, grabbing a bunch of branches to start a fire and create a spit for the cat fish. In 5 minutes, he gathered them, and with a yellow beam of ki, quickly started his fire. Cat fish weren't that tasty, but they had lots of energy, especially ones this big. Pieter opened the fish's mouth and slipped a big branch inside it maw. He shove through the stomach and out the other side, so could rotate the fish. Drool inched out of Pieter's mouth, as he spun the fish around. His stomach was growling, 'Feed me! FEED ME,' in its non-verbal manner. I mean, if his stomach started to speak, I think all of us, even the characters would be wondering, 'Wait, what?!' Back to the story... The hunter spent a good, solid 20 minutes doing this. The fish scales weren't edible, but the hunter had an idea on what to use them for. He stopped turning the spit and looked around on the shore line, to see if he could find a sharp and smooth enough rock to rub the scales off. He took a couple of minutes doing this, rushing back to the pit and taking the fish off quickly, as it was getting burnt! He quickly got to work at ripping the scales out. He rubbed the knife-like rock against the fish's body, the scales flying off like flakes. When the hunter saw this, he cursed at himself! The scales weren't usable in the state they were in now! Pieter took several minutes, rotating the fish slightly after making light twists of the branch after each stroke. He had been sweating, the task being a repetitive process until he could actually eat. Pieter would need to put the fish back on the spit and cook for another ten minute before it was completely ready. However, the hunter did cut off the whiskers and eat them. The juices inside the fish washed themselves around the inside, making Pieter grin as he ate. Having food like this would make anyone in the woods happy to have, even if it was bland! The next 10 minutes rolled by, with nothing but this hard work happening. Some of the wild life's predators did come about, but the Hunter exerted a powerful, hungry presence. To them, it felt like if they got close to Pieter, they would be eaten right then and there! The fish had a smokey finish to its white meat. Pieter was excited to go at it, but he had to get the rest of the scales off. He took it off the spit again, and with a quick motion, spun and shaved the scales off. He held it up, wiping his lips of the saliva, as he went to town on it. He wolfed down large chunks of the fish quickly, nearly choking for a moment on a fish bone. He coughed up the bone, though, and ate the rest at a more relaxed pace. Pieter left behind only the fins for whatever ants to eat. "Ah... Much better. It's about time to learn their cruel force, though... It's about time for me to go hunting viciousness with cruel force."(Post 1 of 3 complete. Next post coming up shortly.)

Pieter started to travel through the forest, keeping on foot rather than going by air. It was nice to challenge the body's ability to react to nasty terrain. Nature is, after all, the true jungle gym! It tested its inhabitants entire ability of movement! Even some of the plants of the forest abide to this rule of life. Humanoids were, by no means, any different than a creeping vine in this forest. If you wanted to get at something, you have to become strong, flexible, and quick in both the physical and mental factors or else you'd be dead. You had to also conserve your energy, when you couldn't find food that'd wouldn't kill you through disease, allergies, or poison. Trekking along this landscape made Pieter feel at home. For generations, his people had lived by Nature's law. It had taught them to appreciate the smallest bit of soft soil, the tiniest stream, and even the disgusting insects. To them, they were Nature's gift of life.
He gazed around from tree to tree to bush, keeping an eye out for anything. After his meal, and putting out his fire, he came to the decision to stalk and, if the type was right, hunt people down. No doubt, there was bound to be someone in these woods. After all, he did come across Hyoza, Alex, and that white haired saiyan, Yuken. Who knows what else is out in the forest? It was high noon, so things would be easy to find in the middle of the day.
The hunter trekked through the undergrowth, hopping over fallen trees and boulders to the North West. Being that the people lived Northwest, in that gargantuan city, some would've decided to come out here and make camp sites. This was a big risk Pieter was doing. He had to find a similar type of person or group matching Tsumuri and that other demon. The question, though, was if he could even do that. Sure, he fought a manipulative talking serpent that kind of flipped his world around, but what were the chances of finding people like that? His father once told him that in those cities, there are billions of people going around and, even though there were indeed criminals about, you had to keep an eye out. The type of monstrous person Pieter sought was a murderous type who enjoyed killing, not caring about his given location.
Pieter, as he moved along, got an idea in mind to mark the person! He began to scramble around, collecting the following things: A sharp, dense rock; a piece of wood to be shaped into a bowl; red berries, and soft, malleable clay. Pieter was going to make a kind of paint ball to hit and mark this person, before proceeding with this hunt. The rock and wood was easy to get, Pieter quickly shaping the wood into a concave shape. He then began his search for the berries, being that they would be the hardest to find. He walked around, sniffing the air as he did, trying to pick up on either a sweet or bitter scent.
As he sniffed, he picked up the smell of fecal matter. Pieter grinned, thinking to himself, "That'd be better, actually. if I make use of animal dung, I can keep track of the prey with scent, if they try to hide on me."
Pieter made his way to where the scent came from, seeing a big pile of bear dung near what seemed to be a raspberry bush. The bear must've been trying to mark this bush with the dung. However, to the hunter, these were supplies for hunting. Pieter made his way over to the bush and plucked several berries from it, taking a couple bites as he did. He then knelt down and grabbed some of the dung. It was a bit soft and malleable, but stank up a storm. The hunter winced as he quickly meshed the berries and dung together until they were one and the same. The stench was slightly overcome by the berry scent, but to on the safe side, Pieter made his way skyward and to the river once more.
As the hunter did, he noticed that the sun was going down, approaching the evening. In addition to this, he found, several small stacks of smoke coming from near the river. It seemed that either a forest fire was happening, or he had been near a camp site. To be on the safe side, Pieter flew further up the river, to avoid contact. Pieter put the bowl with the raspberry and bear dung mix down, as he made his way into the river and washed off his hands. He didn't need to be traced because he smelled of bear crap!
After thoroughly cleaning himself, Pieter, with the mix, flew over to the possible camp sites, landing on the trees near one camp site. This one had been a couple miles away from everything else. Perhaps his mark or marks would be here? Only one way to find out was to observe.

The hunter proceeded from one tree branch to the next, closing in on the camp site closest to him. As he neared, one of the branches snapped under him, causing the hunter to fall! However, he quickly exerted energy to stop his falling, so he could get to the next branch. He landed softly on one thick branch and wiped his brow with his free hand. Pieter told himself, "Gotta be safer than that. If I don't I'll-"
"What the heck was that," a voice called out. The hunter immediately silenced himself, as he hung close to the center. There was some movement near the ground, coming closer to where he was. However, the noise stopped a few yards away.
"God damned woods... I hate it here! Why can't we just hang in the city like usual!"
"Pipe down, ya id'get! You know we can't until that blows over," another voice called out. It sounded gruff and much older than the other. The other voice was younger, and had a nervous tone about it. Perhaps they just didn't like the woods?
"Why not? We could'a just hit the normal spot and have our fun over there!"
"What fun," Pieter pondered. Heavy steps entered Pieter's ears, going away from him back to the other.
The trees creaked in a steady wind, causing the voice to make a nervous, "Gaaaahhhh Damn it! Stupid freakin' woods! Can't get in the zone!"
"God damned... You gotta close erry'thin' out when you do this sorta stuff. Let your mind be free of distractions, like so, and... Wham!"
Something heavy dropping on a tarp caught Pieter's ears. He lifted off the branch and slowly levitated to the next tree, so he could get sight of what was happening. The tree had many leaves on it and was obscuring much of his view. The hunter made his way onto the thickest branch he could find and landed as quietly as possible. A creaking of the branch caused him to wince. However, there seemed to not be any noise from either of them. They seemed to be enjoying whatever it was they were doing.
The hunter whispered quietly, "What are you two doing out here..."
He peered over into the camp site, seeing that they had a big, black tarp out. On it, a very large yellow tail flopped around, with a gray colored dog man and a young human with brown hair and light skin dressed in fishing gear trying to wrestle and put a knife in it. The hunter eased up, sighing in disappointment before backing out of the tree and above, so they wouldn't spot him. They wouldn't, as they were too preoccupied. The hunter was going to be at this for some time it seemed, and these people kinda disappointed him. Perhaps the hunter was over thinking things on how to hunt Tsumuri and Oguma?
Pieter made his way around the next few camp sites, holding the bowl of of raspberry and dung. Two of the times, Pieter had gotten a bit closer than he thought he could, which attracted some of the campers attention for a little while. However, none seemed to investigate the scent, though one camp did have a young boy who did see him. Rather than point him out, he simply waved at the large hunter. Pieter would wave back, but then quickly go into hiding, so the boy wouldn't be able to point him out to his parents.
Dusk approached and the hunter had not found any sort of mark. He ended up returning to his own little home in the cave, having had an unsuccessful day... Or so he thought. As he was nearing the clearing, Pieter heard noise coming from his makeshift cave home! He snuck to the side of his entrance, listening intently to what was going on. They even took an RV car up to the cave, blocking some of it off. However, there was a gap that a person could slip in from that the hunter could listen from.
"... and so, without further ado, let the games begin" an eccentric sounding voice boomed out. There seemed to be a scuffle going on inside, with some man.
"You damn bastard! Why are you-"
"You gentle-folk know how to play Black Jack, don't you? The closest to or gets 21 wins! Go over that and you automatically lose. However, you're playing my version of Black Jack today and the bets are-"
"Our damned lives, ya id'get?! What makes you think we'll play your game, eh," barked a familiar voice. Pieter looked inside the cave, to see what the heck was going on. From what Pieter could tell, a man in a black suit and top hat had been seated at a table in front of some people. One of them was the gray haired dog man from before. Pieter set the bowl down and listened some more. He had found his target, but now he had to figure his target's pattern.
The man in the tux seemed excited by this rhetoric, responding, "Of course! It's to make this game interesting! You're all playing against me, Magic Tony. Since you're all kind of wrapped in my special little binds right there, you've got no real choice but to play my game! If you win, as a man of honor, you are free to go! However, only one person at a time gets to leave! If you lose... Ah, if you lose, that's when the Magic begins!"
Pieter thought to himself, "Binds? What binds?"
He peered into the gap once more, to investigate what they were talking about. The dog person, his young friend, a young blonde woman that Pieter hadn't seen at any of the camp sites, and a man, who seemed like he'd been knocked out. Perhaps the man tried to escape and this 'Magic Tony' didn't want him running away. As for Majic Tony, he seemed to be sitting with these bound people, with a deck of cards in hand.
The hunter proceeded to put the now hardened substance in his hand. He looked at where Tony was, aiming carefully at the man. The substance still had moisture inside the hardened exterior, so it would mark this person. The 'magician' began to deal out the cards to the people there. The hunter, without a moment's notice, hurled the matter at him! The substance hit him the man dead in the face and caused him to fall over. For a moment, Pieter thought he actually knocked the man out with the substance, as did the captives. However, it seemed it wasn't the case.
The man got up, touched the substance now splattered on the side of his head and sniffed it. Veins quickly formed on his head, as he shot a glare at where it came from. Pieter had already made his way into the forest, waiting to see if the man would come out. Indeed, he would come out, energy blasting the recreational vehicle out of the way. The magician sprinted out quickly into the darkening forest. He looked around wildly, shooting ki blasts out into the forest. None seemed to be going at Pieter's location, though.
"Where are you?! Where are the hell are you," Tony bellowed out. Pieter shot out of the bushes he was in, speeding right up to the man. The large hunter stood a good few inches above this man. Tony whirled around with a ki blast in hand to smash Pieter in.
The Hunter, though, ducked underneath the attack and shot a heavy fist into the man's stomach. He then back up, as Tony fell face forward, clutching his stomach. Pieter knelt down, grabbing Tony by the face as he told him one thing.
"You have 30 seconds..."
He smiled widely, his gaze reflecting a brutish, wild beast. He then proceeded to hurl Magic Tony into the forest a good fifty yards. Pieter proceeded to start counting, as he made his way over to his cave with the people in it. He looked inside, asking them, "15...! Are you folks alright in here? 14!"
They all nodded quietly, as Pieter continued his count. He quickly made his way over, as he told them, "Don't tell anyone I was here. If someone asks you, tell them you tricked the man and he got lost in the woods.... 6! Am I clear? 5! 4! Follow the river bend South of here and it'll lead you to safety."
Pieter ripped off the bindings on each person, the bindings dissipating into energy. He looked at each of them, gesturing them to get the KO'd man and run. He was about to hunt this man down, get into his mind, and figure what makes him tic. The people in the cave ran out the cave, heading South to the waterfall.
"1... Here I come," Pieter calmly whispered. He took in a deep breath and shot into the woods. The scent trail left behind by the fecal matter was getting weak, so Pieter had to move quick. Not to mention, during that whole exchange, it had become night.. He would need to rely on his senses for this.
Nightfall
The two men were scrambling about in the woods, Pieter being much calmer than Tony. Magic Tony had been stumbling every now again and again due to his fright over taking his calmness. Pieter made sure to follow the man from the trees, so that he wouldn't have to deal with the undergrowth. Tony stumbled one more time, before the hunter spoke out.
"Easy there. Nature does not bode kindness to the unwary."
Tony bellowed out, stopping in his tracks to scan the area, "Screw you! Where are you, ya bastard?! Show yerself!"
"No... No, I think I'll stay here for a while longer," Pieter shouted, moving from tree to tree around Tony, "You see, I don't get it. Why must you kill off other people, who've not done anything to you?"
"You need a reason to kill," Tony responded, finally having a brief moment to catch his breath and find out where Pieter was hiding, "There ain't no reason needed to kill! There's only the satisfaction after it!"
"Satisfaction? That sounds like a reason. So you're saying the Thrill of the Hunt, hmm?"
"Hell nah," Tony responded. He noticed the Hunter moving from tree to tree around him, wiping off the remaining dung on his face. He put both his hands before turning them in opposite directions. He then separated them, forming the binds Pieter saw on the people. This confirmed that it was Ki technique that Tony had used. So, it had been a definite thing that he was stronger than he appeared.
"It's all... about the gamble," Tony shouted, throwing the black binding like a boomerang at the hunter! Pieter quickly formed his tomahawk slasher to slice the attack in half, but the attack seemed almost gelatinous and simply moved around him. The hunter lost balance because of it and went crashing to the ground! Tony ran over, laughing at the hunter.
"I give people a false fairness in chance, just so I can show them you can't cheat the dealer! It's all about the control, just like how I've got you in my hands... Oh ho! What's this I see," Tony explained, taking notice to Pieter's tail, "Are you... OH! That's just precious! Here I was, thinking yous was just a goody two shoes, but this is even funnier! I got myself a saiyan boy to play with today!"
He kicked Pieter in the stomach, as he grabbed Pieter's tail. The pain was excruciating to him! The hunter glared at the man with a murderous threat. Tony responded with a kick, as he told him, "You know what I'm going to do you, guy?! I'm gonna dice up your tail, then I'm gonna kill ya! After that, I'm gonna go back to that cave and kill off those other people! You wanna know why?! Ah?! It's because nobody ruins Magic Tony's rep! Especially a shit throwing saiyan!"
Tony pulled a playing card, which he began to charge with his ki. Pieter could easily tell the sharpness was enough to actually cut it! The hunter learned enough of what he needed to know here. With a sudden burst of ki, the bindings blew off him, as well as Tony's grip on his tail. Pieter felt the wooziness fade away, standing tall and free. He glared at Tony, a massive Tomahawk showing up in his left hand. Pieter exclaimed, "I get it now... Coward! You can't fight straight forward! You are just like Tsumuri and that other demon..."
"Tsumuri? Who the hell is... Oh, crap," Tony uttered, as a sudden realization washed away the color in his face, "Y-You're that Wolfbane guy?! Oh shit, shit, shit! I gotta get outta here!"
Tony quickly tossed out several ki charged cards at Pieter, and placed a Queen on the ground, chanting out, "Queen's Escape!"
The hunter batted away the card with his Super Tomahawk slasher, as he shouted, "You're not going anywhere!"
The magician shot up into the air rapidly, with Pieter not far behind. The hunter slowly caught up, eventually being right on top of him. Tony tried to shoot another binding attack, but the axe, this time, cut it in half. Down, the guillotine went on to Tony! He, as well as his Queen went plummeting into the ground, a heavy thud and a crater 10 feet in diameter around him! Pieter panted, feeling himself weakening really quick from the energy expenditure. He landed on the ground and limped over to where Tony landed. To the hunter's surprise, only a small, split Queen of Hearts remained in the spot. Pieter looked around in haste for the lunatic, spotting him in the bushes trying to hide.
"No... Not... This time," Pieter wretched out, forming another Tomahawk Slasher in his hand. He hurled the ax at the now fleeing Tony. It embedded itself into Tony's back with a loud thump, causing the man to hold up his hands in pain. He fell face forward. Crimson cascaded out of the man's corpse, with the hunter staggering over. Breathing heavily, the hunter put both open palms together in his hand, as he thanked the lunatic.
"Thank you... Tony. May the Great... Serpent bring you back... alive as a better man. I know not what brought you... here, but perhaps you will be cleansed..."
After delivering his thanks, began his long walk back to his cave in Mount Paozu. No doubt, the hunter would have to move to another area, so that he wouldn't be found by anyone looking for him. For now, he needed his rest. The day had been harsh to the man...[/b][/b]
