So the ITC staff basically manages the tournaments OOC and IC rules.
Here's a rough idea of how things will work:
-I create the starting thread, everyone who is going to enter has 5 days to post
-The limit on how many people can enter will vary along with the cash prize (won't be more than 16-20)
-Respect the PL limit
-When it's time to fight, the names will be matched together at random
-I will create several new threads for each fight so there's no clutter. The order of the fights will be numbered [EX: Fight#7 Name vs Name] so there's no confusion, the number will be seen in that thread's title, so the people who will fight can spectate accordingly
-The spectators will have no post order, spectators aren't allowed to interfere with the fight at all, but they are allowed to do anything else they want. Anyone fighting as a spectator will be forced to leave In Character.
-The person who gets the first move will also be decided randomly (the first name in the title is the first one to post after me), each fighter will be expected to post at least every 2 days. If a fighter doesn't give a reason for not posting within the time limits they are automatically disqualified. This especially applies to the final match, DE or otherwise.
PL Limits, Entry Fee, and Wait Time:
Every tournament takes place three weeks after the last thread of the last tournament is graded.
20k-30k PL: 400 zeni
33k-50k PL: 660 zeni
52-80k PL: 1,040 zeni
85-130k PL: 1,700 zeni
Free For All[Any PL can enter]: 2,000 zeni
Assuming every tourny takes, at a minimum, 3 months to finish and grade it'll still be about a year before the free for all. Even longer before it resets to the original So I think this works out. I even based the scale on the "And, at 65% power, lower-level fighters can still hold their own against a much stronger warrior." rule (rounding up)
The staff keeps track of everything that's going on in each thread; from rambunctious spectators to stopping a fight when the winner gets a little too into it. The most staff we have, the more people we can allow in the tournament because twenty people right now means ten threads to keep track of. The more people we have keeping track of things, the better, and if you're working towards zeni or pl you'll have an easy group-thread bonus.
Being part of the staff doesn't mean you can't participate in the actual fights.
And if anyone has any ideas on how to make this better for everyone, I'm all ears! I'd also like for our characters to meet up in a thread after you decide to sign up, the sooner we get this ball rolling the better!
Almost forgot to add: Everyone on the staff can use their own Zeni-bonus shops. Because they'll be able to sell food in the stands.
