Character: Bastion (25% PL NPC) PL: 50,282 On the great Mt. Paozu, a figure floated. Feet just above the peak, he stared out, a huge expanse of rock above him in the sky. The great Island-Ship, the Cathedral Gaea, was temporarily removed from it's resting place. He had business on this mountain, but it was almost concluded. Now, he was curious if anyone would come. He was aware his Ki Signature was not very strong, not compared to the progenitor, but it was something, at least. Perhaps someone would notice it, and come investigate.... Crossing his arms, Bastion stared out into the distance. He could feel something coming, actually.

Puery flew past random areas in the Southern Islands, honestly having no real reason to be there beyond trying to find something to distract herself from... well, everything. The atmosphere at home was still heavy and thick with some emotion that she can only define as tension, even if that may not be the best word for it. While being strong by most human standards, she was laughably weak compared to the actual fighters, even children were beyond her in terms of strength and speed. Even her thoughts went out of their way in trailing off to an unwanted territory if she wasn't doing some mind-numbing, repetitive task if there wasn't a reasonable distraction around.
So now she was just flying aimlessly, mainly trying to get her head straight, partly looking for a new distraction that doesn't involve field work or meditation. Which is how she caught herself flying towards someone that was noticeably out of her league. Looking up at what she knew was one of those plant-based androids (The specifics on them, she wasn't actually sure about) obviously, it had already seen her if it didn't sense her coming from a few miles away.
Figuring it was too late to back-track, she decided to fly towards it. Now, what she was going to say to a tree once she got there was beyond her, but at least, this could be some kind of distraction... probably. It could also suddenly decide to kill and eat her, again, she wasn't actually sure about the specifics on this type of android. She came to a stop a short distance below him,"Uh, hey!"

Pin soared over the Southern Islands, a man on a mission. Not long ago, he'd been minding his own business on the Pixie Blue, not wanting to cause any more trouble for himself on this planet than necessary. Performing some basic maintenance in the cockpit, Pin noticed something on his long range scanners - something big. At first he made nothing of it, but the longer it stayed on his scanners, the more curious he became.
He looked more closely at the scanner readout, and something about it seemed...off. It was huge, as is an entire island came out of nowhere. Why did that sound familiar?
"It was unbelievable, like this bigass floating island came out of nowhere! You should have seen it, Pinball." Pin remembered Granzel's words has he recounted the attack on Vegeta during his absence. Something told Pin that this could not just be a coincidence.
Pin took off out of the Pixie with haste, rocketing towards the scanner anomaly. If it was nothing, he would just go back to the ship and relax. But if it were truly the one who attacked Vegeta, he would extract his vengeance or get destroyed trying.
When he spotted the floating island over Mt. Paozu, he narrowed his eyes. He scanned the island with his internal scouter and his helmet's multi-visor. There were two power signatures - one huge, and one much, much smaller. Pin was fairly certain the smaller power signature was nobody of import, but then again maybe it was the brains of the operation. Still, Pin decided to wait a moment longer before knocking on the door. Best not to go in half-cocked on this one.

Kayle was still out near where he had landed, still training very slowly. He had hoped that it would pass soon. His sore and and stiff muscles would soon untie. He was not used to this feeling, but it was something that he would just have to fight through. As his he was going about his training, he noticed a spike on his scouter. A massive new power had come about. The good news was it wasn't anywhere near here. It was far away. He had not seen numbers like this though since that day. The day that it all happened. There were two of them though. How long had he been out? What all had happened that there were now two powers that strong? It didn't matter much. They were not even on this planet, so he would at least have some time should they come back this way. He had a lot of training to do, and a lot of things to figure out in the mean time. Earth, Vegeta, the Empire, who knew what he should be loyal to.
As he was going over all of this in his head, he noticed a bipedal fox person pass by. Kayle still found this planet weird. Animal people were something that he was not used to. He wasn't even sure if it was a he she or it at first. The fox person had caught his interest a bit, and he raised his had to his scouter, aiming it at the fox person. Its power level was pitiful, but it seemed to be heading toward something. Aiming his scouter in the direction it was heading, he found one that was much more to his liking. Interesting, this one must be a minion of that one or something. He thought himself. I should follow and see this other person that it is heading toward.
Kayle didn't know how to mask his power level quite yet, so he knew that is the bipedal fox could sense it that he was already known. It likely had some way of telling power, as it was heading to one that was near Kayle's own level of power. He decided to follow this fox person. Beginning to levitate off the ground, he propelled his body after as it passed by. Where they were heading he didn't know, but he would soon find out. He didn't even try to hid himself, for even if the person knew he was there, they wouldn't stand a chance against him anyway. Unless they could mask their power level, like others he had seen. This was a risk he was willing to take however. He had never ran from people he knew that out powered him, why would he run from one that was potentially so much lower? He was eager to tell where this fox was taking him. Settling a safe distance behind it, he continued to follow quietly, silently waiting to see this greater power it was going toward.

Chili climbed up the side of one of the steep cliffs on the mountain. His body weighed down by his heavy clothes as he trained his strength. It wasn't long ago on this mountain that he had met another man doing a similar method. The dogs paws dug into the earth as he hoisted his short body up over the edge. It was a hell of a strength test trying to lift your own weight, but then add even more and you push your body pretty hard. However he wasn't truly in danger, not with his ability to fly. This was all the reward with low risk really.
The pup rolled over onto his back and let out a sigh of exhaustion as he finally made it onto the ledge. His paws went to his hat which he made sure was still snuggly resting upon his crown. Those dark dog eyes looked up into the blue sky and he smiled before sitting up.
The pup stretched his arms out and finally he noticed it. Just around the other side of the mountain. It was a new mountain entirely! It hadn't been there the few times Chili had climbed Pazou, this rock face was new. But mountains don't just appear out of thin air. Do they?
Curiosity caught the better of Chili as he lept to his feet and then into the air, flying around the curviture of the landmass. The dogs ears perked as he caught full view of this new mountain, but a mountain didn't describe it, nor did it justice. It was flying, a flying island.
It was a rather enormous island that floated in the air in some strange way. It appeared to be completely natural, covered in greens and made of rock. How it levitated was beyond Chili's imagination. The pups mouth was agape in utter wonder.
He zipped around this new island and shook his head to make sure he wasn't seeing some illusion. His red figure floating through the air alongside it completely visible to anyone.
It was then the dog spotted a orange figure on this new place, a familiar orange figure. Chili squinted his eyes from under his cap, but then he noticed someone standing opposite.
It was a familiar figure, though slightly off, but something you could not mistake. It was a tree, but not any tree, it was the caretaker of the lookout Mr. Walker!
With that surprise Chili almost lost his flight. He let out a shrill gasp and flew straight down towards this meeting. The dog landing with a cloud of dirt as he touched down between the two. Chili threw his arms up in glee "Mr. Walker! I didn't expect t-" The dog cut his exclamation short as he eyed the tree figure and blinked. "Wait... you're not Walker" he said dissspointedly.

Arias flew across the southern islands, something she sensed peaked her curiosity and she was going to find out what it was. It seemed like there were many different energies, all having various strengths. She lit up at the prospect of a possible stronger foe, as she flew at a faster speed, now going as fast as she could before she smacked right into Mt. Paozu. She fell down and landed on a ledge, dazed from the sudden impact. Arias wasn't one to watch where she was going, and she shakes her head to get rid of the dizziness before looking up and going to climb Mt. Paozu, simply because she felt like it. She climbed it for a while before staring at a floating landmass in the sky. This is physically impossible, how is this even working!? It's a giant flying island, what the hell is powering that thing?! It looks natural but maybe it's camoflagued. She wondered, as she continued to climb to save her ki energy, climbing slowly. She was dwarfed compared to the others in energy, but her pride was driving her forward.

Post by Samba on Mar 20, 2016 16:49:17 GMT
"What even is that..." Samba stared with wide eyes into the skies above, it seemed like a giant piece of rock, an island floating high in the skies! "How is it even doing that..." The Zoan wondered, not hiding his awe as this phenomenon was the most interesting thing that has happened to him thus far while traveling across the Earth in his search to getting stronger.
His travels had taken him to Mt. Paozu, it was a really beautiful place filled with mountains and peaks as far as the eye could see, it was sometimes intercepted by rivers and waterfalls here and there, not to mention the flora and fauna that resided in this biome. Though he groaned internally when he heard the very familiar howls and roars of dinosaurs in the distance.
Why was it that whenever he went he couldn't seem to escape these beasts?! They were everywhere and their annoying protective attitude about their territory usually came to bite him in the ass when he accidentally stumbled upon them. And then he'd have to either run for his life (he honestly couldn't be bothered to always face them) or defense himself and stand his ground (sometimes a Dino deserved a good kick in the teeth to leave him alone).
"Hm?!" Samba looked into the distance when he caught distant Ki signatures approaching very fast in this direction. He wondered what could bring forth so many of them all at once, and one more look at the floating island in the sky answered his own question. "Though why would they want to explore the island I wonder..." The Zoan's green eyes narrowed as he concentrated further, expanding his senses wide and blinked when he felt a relatively strong (meaning more stronger than his own power levels anyway) presence at the top of one of the peaks below the floating island. If he looked more and confused his vision, he could swear that it seemed that a giant... tree... thing... was floating below the expanse of rock in the sky.
And then what seemed to be two Zoans appeared and headed straight for the tree like being. Feeling his brow arch toward his hairline at the sight, he slowly started to float upward into the air. His curiosity was aroused before, but now it was certainly pushed firmly into the 'I must investigate/Put my nose in other people's business' mode.
Silently he floated up and up, getting closer to the tree-person and the Zoans and soon enough he was standing a few feet away, enough for a quick getaway if they were aggressive. "Interesting gathering we're having over here." Samba droned with an amused expression though he wasn't relaxed all that much judging by his tensing muscles that were ready to spring forth at any moment. "I'm Samba. Who're you two, and what are you suppose to be? Some sort of... er..." Samba trailed off as he stared up at the tree-person before him. "Tree... man... person?" Samba could feel his ears leaning back as he shifted awkwardly, he felt like he had dug his hole deeper than it should be with that comment.
The Wolf looked aside while rubbing the back of his neck, and tensed at the figure he could see in the distance, particularly the tail that he could see coming their back. "A Saiyan..." Samba growled under his breath, a bead of sweat trailing down his face as he realized that this Saiyan was vastly stronger than him. "What the hell does he want?"
Feeling another Ki signature, and a very familiar one at that, below them and slowly coming to their direction, he looked downward in apprehension and he couldn't stop the loud growl that echoed from deep within his chest. "You..." Samba's eyes narrowed in dislike at the person he was seeing. "What are you even doing here, coming to start some trouble?" Samba couldn't contain the slight edge of hostility in his tone, and why would he considering that this crazy girl, Arias, had bitten his hand and left behind large flesh wound that still throbbed until now.
At least the flesh healed up nicely and left no scar behind, still he hasn't forgiven the Saiyan girl for that stunt quite yet, the fact that she wasn't clearly all up there when she did that didn't matter to him at all.

Watching impassively, Bastion allowed the various fighters to approach his position. It was a rather interesting grouping, to be sure. Several canine creatures, one of which was already in his memory. Walker had not shared all of his life, short though it was, but he had transferred encounters with important people. One of these was the young dog, Chili Pepper, who was approaching right now. There were numerous power levels coming, in fact. Most of them were not particularly worrying, significantly below Bastion's own. Even Chili was a lot lower, although it was likely he was wearing Father's old weights. The tree had given them to the child to train with, after surpassing the need for them. As such, he and the Saiyan were the primary powers. There was, however, another figure in the distance
He was quite a ways away, but still within the tree's Ki Sense, and yet... there was no response. It was as if he had no life energy. Presumably an artificial life form like Administrator Azure, then. He was not acting out of hostile intent, yet. Turning to the assembled people, he bowed slightly. "Greetings. As you guessed, Master Pepper, I am not the one you call Walker. He is the one who created me. As for his current whereabouts... He is not currently on this world." It was possible that the young dog could have taken the news of Walker's death with more aplomb, but given Etoru's lack of understanding, it seemed best to obstruct the truth somewhat.
Facing the rest of them in turn, he spoke to the group. "My name is Legate Bastion, current watcher of the Cathedral Gaea, home of the Verdant. I am indeed, as you say, a "Tree-man". My kind are equal parts plant, magic, and spiritual essence." Returning to his resting stance, he looked about. "I take it you came here because of the Cathedral? I apologize for the rather surprising sight. Normally, it would not be out here, but I had some business not far away, and so gave it a chance to recharge slightly before returning to it's home."
In total, he marked 2 Saiyans, 3 Zoanthropes, and one unknown farther out. 5 of these were unknown quantities, one could be likely considered an ally if unprovoked hostilities began. At worst, he could likely put up enough of a defense for the Cathedral to achieve escape velocity, where it could return from orbit once it was out of view. None of those surrounding him had SSE logos on, and with Father currently dead, a case for unfair revenge could be made. No indication of the tactical calculations he made was shared, as he spoke calmly, his voice even deeper than Walker's own. "Were you merely curious about this place, or is there some other manner I may aid you in? I'm afraid I am not nearly as capable a teacher as the Progenitor, but I would not object to aiding you if that is your desire."

Whatever curiosity Puery had about the mysterious android was dispelled with the appearance of two Saiyans. "It was a mistake to come out here" She muttered, mostly to herself. The two were about on level with her, from what she could tell, but they could very well be hiding their PL. For some reason she still wasn't... at all concerned with the giant floating island hovering over that slightly less giant talking tree's head. Really she just marked it down to 'Aliens' and immediately ignored it the second she saw it earlier, because weird things happen and she doesn't care why this particular anomaly is happening right now.
Saiyans on the other hand were just something she wanted to avoid all together, and the one tailing her earlier probably finds the tree more interesting than some random fox girl. "I was more curious about you, but I think I should leave now."
With that she turned away from everyone started flying away.

Pin studied the floating island carefully, noting the arrival of several more visitors. Most of them were of little consequence, and even the strongest of them - a little...dog...in red clothing - would pose him no threat. The only real opponent he would have here would be the oddly tree-shaped creature that had been on the island to begin with when Pin arrived. Pin considered landing, considered talking it out. But then the small one, the one that had been there with the tree creature when Pin arrived, turned to leave and took to the sky. Pin didn't have nearly enough intel on the situation, and didn't know whether or not this small creature was involved in the attack on Vegeta. But he couldn't take that risk. His shoulder cannon slid smoothly from within his body, and Pin narrowed his eyes. "Nobody is going anywhere," Pin said quietly to himself. He fired a net of pure energy at Puery, aiming to immobilize and bring the little bugger back down to the island itself. Knowing that shit was likely about to get real for him, Pin didn't wait for the little red Zoanthrope to hit the island's surface. Pin launched forward, closing the last of the distance between him and the island before touching down hard on its surface, kicking up a cloud of dust. He stood as the dust cleared, and drew his blaster pistol. Leveling his shoulder cannon on the tree beast and aiming his pistol at the little dog in red, Pin broke the silence. " Nobody goes anywhere until justice is served," he said, " One of you attacked my planet. One of you has come to the end of their time." ___________________________________________ Fired Net Launch at Puery: [SU1] Net Launch: Used primarily on fleeing marks, Pin can generate and fire a net made of pure energy from his shoulder cannon. Post by Kayle on Mar 22, 2016 0:22:44 GMT
Kayle quickly flew behind the young fox person ahead of him, and when they came into view of this floating island, he wasn't sure he could believe this. Since he had awoken, he had already seen several astonishing thing, and this was among them. Floating areas of land wasn't something that was completely new to him, he had seen several planets with them while he tried to prove his worth to the Saiyan Solar Empire, but it was a new thing on Earth. To his knowledge, things like this just didn't happen here. It was something worth investigating, that was for sure, but what was more interesting was this plant creature that the fox person was interested in. "I was more curious about you, but I think I should leave now." she had said, before turning and flying away. Kayle had assumed by the voice of the fox person, that it was infact a female. No matter, let her leave. Kayle didn't really care one way or the other. She had filled her purpose. She had brought him here to this place. There were a plethora of stronger, and more interesting people here anyway.
Kayle landed on the floating piece of land and began to study the tree man, taking notice of the other person there. His scouter told him the power level of each of them. Both were higher than his, but this was not necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps he could use there people to gain more power. That is what he really needed in the end. He needed more power to be able to fight harder for the Empire. He would be returning home one day, home to Vegeta, and if he wasn't much stronger than when he left then he would be viewed as a failure. If they didn't notice him before, then surely he would be a laughing stock now if he didn't come back stronger. His power level had almost doubled since coming to Earth, but this wasn't nearly enough. The hybrid needed more.
Kayle's attention was brought to one of the others standing there as just then he brought some sort of cannon out of his shoulder! What was this?! A machine man?! He said something about no one going anywhere. Something about someone attacking his planet. What planet was attacked other than Arcose? Kayle thought to himself. Could this be one of the automatons from that planet? Kayle knew not to jump into anything. He may have been out for the past time, but he had learned valuable lessons. He knew better than to just jump to conclusions at this point. He decided to wait and see what happened. The man fired an energy net at the fox thing. "This is an interesting weapon you have there." The saiyan human hybrid said very bluntly. "I can honestly say that is something that I have never seen." Kayle looked over at the tree man thing. "This is something I have never seen either. What is this thing? Whatever it is he seems to be okayishly strong I suppose. At least according to my scouter here."
Kayle was attempting to appear less confused and frustrated that he really was, but his tail may have betrayed him as it swished nervously back and fourth behind him. Kayle turned his green eyes to face the mecha man again, studying him. 'Androids' as they were known, was something not completely unknown to him, but was still somewhat of a mystery. He had only seen one confirmed one that he knew of in his entire life. "You remind me of Icarus in a way, a mecha man I met back on Vegeta. You seem far more built for combat than he was though. What planet do you speak of that was attacked?" He asked, again in a rather emotionless but blunt tone. He stood by and studied the area some more as he waited for the answer, if any. Among the other people there he noted another saiyan and both a wolf and dog man. All in all this was turning out to be an interesting day. Kayle could only hope that it continued, and that he might get at least glimpses of answers to the questions that had been burning in his mind since he had awoken a few short days ago.

Chili raised his brow in surprise as this tree like guy did know him. The dog crossed his arms over his chest as Bastion explained, eventually softening his stance. It appeared this was indeed someone related to Walker.
The canine turned his head to look back at Puery, taking note that she too had been someone Chili had run into briefly. His attention back onto Bastion. "So... Mr. Walker is in space? ...huh I wonder what he's doing up there." The dog pondered while scratching his cheek. The pup nearly jumped out of his skin as a huge burly dog man showed up alongside the group. "Woah! Uhm.. Hi" he said with a wave.
Chili would then notice Puery begin to depart. Reaching out a red sleeve towards her as he spoke "Wait ma'm!" But she was suddenly torn from the sky by a snag of hot energy. Chili's eyes opened wide before another figure slammed into the earth and summoned another cloud of dust that whipped past the group.
The pup took in the figured covered in armor. He was clearly some sort of soldier as he produced a large shoulder cannon and a pistol aimed right at Chili. The dogs eyebrows furrowed, not a fan of threats, especially to people Chili considered to be innocent.
Grinding his teeth he was ready to go on the offensive. However Pin's helmet stirred something inside of him. A gasp escaped his muzzle as he pointed a finger at the android "The bucket head!" Cried the pup before he continued "Mister, listen, I dunno anything about your planet, but I'd like to help. I'm uh part of the new Galactic Patrol. I think I know who you are..."
Chili took a cautionary step forward with his arms spread. "I think I met your sister, she was loo-"
Chili's explanation was cut short as a Saiyan now stepped into this confusing mess. The dogs eyes watched him as he seemed far too comfortable in this situation. Even asking the guy with the huge cannon attached to him some questions.
Chili swallowed hard as he wasn't sure what this was devolving into, or who to trust. If things went south though he could probably trust the walker clone.

Arias looked around at the varying power levels, her mouth twitching in a slight snarl as she watched the grouping and their behavior. She was ready to fight just in case any one of them tried anything funny. When she heard Samba's voice, she glared at him, baring her sharp teeth. "It's you again, want me to take another chunk out of your hand?" She growled sadistically, being serious as to the question she posed. Her eyes were ablaze with her Sayian Pride, as she continued to watch the others and their behavior, she watched Puery leave with a slight frown. Wonder why Puery left. Oh well, not my business. Better keep my head on straight here, or bad things could happen.

Samba blinked as the tree-man now knows as Legate Bastion spoke about the flying island being like a ship of some kind and how he was made of spiritual essence and magic, he knew about magic because he had seen some of his kinsmen transform their limbs or whole bodies into different shapes or objects, but spiritual essence kinda threw him for a loop so he quickly brushed the thought aside and focused on what he said next.
So this flying rock in the sky was called the Cathedral of Gaea and this Legate Bastion was merely just... quite literally parking it so it could recharge its energy before he headed off.
"Man..." Samba sighed through his nose and absently waved a greeting in return towards the other male Zoanthrope in this group. "The universe is a weird place." It was a wonder that no one thought of bunkering deep down underground and never get out considering the crazy shit that happened on a regular basis every year.
Suddenly out of nowhere a being that he recognized from a previous encounter appeared and shot down the Fox Zoanthrope with an energy net of some kind. His eyes widened as he quickly speeded and caught the girl before she could hurt herself. "What the hell is your problem, Pin?!" Samba called out as he worked to rip the energy net from the girl's body, succeeding with some difficult after a while. "Are you okay, lady?" Samba asked with concern, he didn't know if the net did some damage to the girl so he needed to be sure.
And then another person showed up, another Saiyan top of things, who started to start what seemed to be a genial conversation towards Pin, if he wasn't slowly developing a headache he would boggle at what the Saiyan was doing. Not to mention that Arias was once more losing her shit and letting her anger control her. Samba felt a migraine slowly pounding at the back of his mind and he growled loudly at the back of his throat.
"Arias, you fool. I don't have the time to concern myself with your petty bickering and a need for attention. If you're here to cause trouble then you better turn tail and leave. I am not in the mood for your stupid shit." Samba was ready to knock Arias around if she tried to do anything, and since he was sure that she'd fly off the handle he quickly started to channel his Ki, forming a small ball of energy that slowly got bigger as more power was channelled into it.
For safety measures once Puery would be free from her bindings he would fly off and away from her. He wouldn't have her get injured in the collateral damage because Arias flipped her lid once again. Though his brain finally caught up with what the other Dog Zoan said, something about the Galactic Patrol? Now why did that sound familiar to him, it was annoying how it poked at the back of his mind and yet he couldn't remember where he heard that before. Summary: Wondered about how weird the universe is, caught Puery before she could hurt herself and loudly demanded to know what the heck was Pin's problem, not aware that he has some beef between Bastion or someone that looks similar to Bastion. He's also wondering where are all these Saiyans coming from since they seem to be multiplying, and is ready to throw down with Arias if she doesn't back off.

As the mysterious figure moved close, Puery moved to leave. However, it was not to be. The Android fired a net, capturing the young Zoan, and gestured. "Nobody goes anywhere until justice is served," he said, "One of you attacked my planet. One of you has come to the end of their time." He floated in the air, apparently trying to look impressive. Bastion sighed, eyes bowing slightly. "I don't care what you're here for, but you will not attack innocent people based on some hunch. 'One of you?' What are you basing this on? This group contains numerous species, and you have no idea which of them attacked an entire planet? I would be surprised if any civilized planet was unable to repel a single attacker in this day and age." The curt, unimpressed speech was followed by a single hand raising. The floating island above him seemed to move, slightly, and 5 large roots spiraled out above him in a semi circle. Each of the roots split, and from the inside, a figure emerged. Four soldiers emerged, each of them 5000 PL. In addition, a serpentine shape emerged, coiling around Bastion's neck. The 5 Verdant soldiers stared down Pin, each of them floating in front of one of the non-hostiles, save for Chili. Bastion moved in front of him, holding one hand out. "Worry not, I trust your capabilities, but I do not intend to allow this interloper to harm anyone here." The faceless soldiers did not say anything, but each held a staff, and brought it to bear, watching to see what Pin would do. If things went poorly, they were ready to defend the Cathedral and it's guests.
