Ninjin had been patiently sitting at home after Toma decided to be a knucklehead and push himself off into space on some foolish escapade back to Vegeta. This ticked her off a little as she punched the boulder beside herself. IT was true that Ninjin going to the planet might not be a good idea. As her cousin would instantly make her a target and without Super Saiyan she would rather easy game for the many factions on the planet. Despite this she hated being left behind to babysit as it where. Yet the spacepod she knew her husband would have was most certainly not large enough for the four of them to fit inside of comfortably.
So where was the mother of two and wife to a dunderhead? She was sitting inside the peaks and crags of Mount Paozu once more. Back to the original training ground areas that she had traversed as she was pushing herself to once more attain the same power that her husband already had and that she had at one time held within her hands. The boulder she had punched had not moved as she turned to look at it she reared her fist back slamming it down into the boulder shattering it and her now former seat in a burst of dust and debris. This was doing the trick as she was no longer as angry as she had been with her husband, but the anger was still there simmering beneath the surface. Floating down to the middle of the large clearing she closed her eyes.
Visualizing opponents in front of her she had brought three rather dangerous foes from her past up within her mind’s eye. These enemies burst at her and she began to shadow fight against the three of them. In a flurry of strikes and dodges she managed to tag all three of them and she opened her eyes. The constant back and forth across the rocky plateau had exhausted her. “Phew… That is something I need to do more often… Or find a way for Vi-Poi to let me use one of his battle simulator programs in one of his gravity chambers…”
Standing there she wiped her brow as she took in a couple of breaths. Once more she felt out of breath from the training but this was something she would need to push herself past.

In the few days since his meeting with Ayumu in the Bamboo Forest, Alexander realized that he was something of a danger to those around him. The strange energy that permeated his body was not something that he was used to, but by the same token, he felt as if he had always known it, always used it. It was a strange sense, and not one that he felt that he had any real grasp or understanding of, hence why he had tried to get himself away from people, at least until he had managed to keep it under control. The last thing that needed to happen was to have those around him become injured simply due to a lack of control on his part.
Hence why he was now off in the mountains, looking to see if he couldn't tame this new power that had been forcibly granted to him. He let out a low breath as he watched as his arm began to show those odd, runic tattoos of his whenever he utilized his talents. The familiar pain came back as well, something that he had unfortunately grown rather used to dealing with in the past few days. It was as if there was sort of taboo to using this power of Void that Ayumu had granted him, something that he had not expected to continue to be present as he learned how to use the gifts...but it was.
Whatever limited sensing abilities he'd had before had vanished entirely, as the void had seemingly replaced the ki in his body, but they had been replaced with something akin to the same style. It was more that he was able to sense just how much void someone had in their bodies, or rather, how much negative space one carried in their body, mind and soul. With the scant few days he'd had to try and utilize these abilities, he was nowhere near being able to explain exactly what his abilities did. They summoned just as easily as he had done before with his ki, save now it felt as if there was far more raw power behind what he did, and beyond that, the ever-familiar pain that came along with any attempt to use what he'd been given.
As he traversed the mountainside, he began to hear the sounds of...something, up ahead. It nearly sounded like battle, but he doubted that such was the case, not out here. He could feel something, up ahead, but he had no idea what it might be. As he drew closer, a sudden cacophony of sound assaulted his senses, leading him to look above, where a shower of broken rock trailed down from a plateau onto the path he walked. "Interesting," he murmured aloud before curiosity got the better of him.
It was likely that whoever was up here was someone that also needed some time away from others, for whatever reason. In that, Alexander should have let them be. But at the moment, he was too curious about his own talents and due to that, he was more interested than he normally was in the goings-on of others, including someone who had broken a boulder with their bare hand. That wasn't to say that Alexander couldn't do so as well, but he was curious at who had enough power in their limbs to handle such a task.
He had climbed the side of the cliff, pulling himself up to see a woman who seemed to be a bit older than himself. His senses told him that she had Saiyan blood, but he'd been fooled before. "Afternoon," he said simply as he drew up to his full height. His gaze moved over her face searchingly, curious at how she was receiving being interrupted. "I apologize if you came here for seclusion. I came here looking to hone my own abilities and the sounds of battle caught my ear," he spoke, glancing at the fragmented boulder that the woman had seemingly demolished a few minutes prior. "I'm Alexander Voss- mind if I ask what style you use?" he asked, always curious to learn how the different fighters of the world learned their talents.

As she cleared her mind she felt someone approaching her area. Luckily they were not in the path of the falling rocks she had punched and cause to fall earlier. Though she would turn and refocus on her own mental training as soon as she realized the person was out of the way of the falling rocks. It was not for her to step in and interfere with someone if they were going to just be passing by. Yet she felt the power nibble at the edge of her Ki Sense as she felt it ascending the mountain to the small plateau she was using as her training ground for the day. As Alexander crested the ledge she lifted her head and opened her closed eyes. Turning her head toward him only when he called out toward her.
A beaming smile crossed her face as she looked toward him. Despite the fact that being interrupted bothered her she had become accustomed to it as her time as the Turtle Hermit had made it that way. Him speaking about the sound of battle had drawn him in. She nodded toward him and finally spoke up. “Apologies for that. I did not mean to break someones peaceful walk through the mountain peaks. Just have always been able to relax up here and train better… “
It was obvious that she was speaking the truth as she seemingly laughed to herself for a moment. Taking in a deep breath she exhaled it as he introduced himself and asked what style she was using. Her smile grew wider as she looked at him. Pcolor=orchid] “It is a pleasure to meet you Alexander. I am Ninjin Nedrag. Former Turtle Hermit for the Turtle School of Earth. The style I am using is a perfect fusion of the Turtle Schools basic tenants and my own self taught martial arts.”[/color]

Alexander waved a hand at her as if he were dismissing her concern about breaking up his peaceful trek as she'd broken up the rocks. “It's nothing to worry about,” he offered, not wanting her to stress about it, or anything of the sort. He knew that there were many people out in the world that had a tendency to worry an incredible amount about others' reactions to them. They needed to never be in the wrong, and always focus on doing whatever they could to make things right. But he didn't want this woman to worry about such things, in the event that was something that she concerned herself with.
As she continued, he nodded. “It is rather peaceful up here- I cannot deny that claim,” he said, taking another small inhale of the air around him. It was interesting just how much thinner the air was up here, and how much more difficult it was for him to breathe. He felt that simply by being up here, his lungs were steadily growing stronger from being forced to overwork them. It was an interesting thing, to him, as he'd never actually been up somewhere this high. “I can see how the solitude would allow you to sharpen your focus. I may need to consider coming up here more often,” he admitted, smoving his hands to his pockets.
The woman laughed then, and he could tell that she seemed relatively happy about the situation, or perhaps her lot in life, all things considered. He didn't think he'd anyone smile seemingly so much in such a short amount of time as he watched her. Her name was strange on his tongue, and he wondered what part of the world she might be from. “The pleasure is mine, Ninjin,” he spoke, giving her a small nod of his own. His features still bore no smile, but he didn't appear to be dour- he simply lacked the amount of humor this woman had.
Her talk of style piqued his curiosity, however, and he raised a hand to his chin. “A modified Turtle style?” he asked, just to make sure he had an understanding of what she was practicing. “The Turtle School arts are among some of the best in the world- I'm jealous,” he admitted, a slight smile gracing his features for the first time. “I would enjoy witnessing the style first-hand, but from how you carry yourself alone, I feel I would be at a severe disadvantage in that fight,” he mused, watching her.

“That is why I love this mountain. You go from the decently sized city at its base to sporadic houses up and down the slopes to the sheer nothing up here.” As he inhaled Ninjin followed suit. The thin air at the altitude burning her lungs for a split second before she exhaled . Letting out the held air that was within her chest. The mountain was kind to her even when she was not to it. “And among the best there where about three or four that I could consider near my equal… And I trained all of them Alexander. The current grandmistress of the Turtle School alongside three others. Each of them I would consider to be the paragon that you seem to have a visual for the school. As for showing you… I have no issues at all in showing you. It is always interesting to have an audience when you train. You are more than welcome to join me.” Ninjin smiled as she knelt down and began to stretch out her legs and lower back. Her body loosened up like a patch of foam reforming after someone stepped off of it. Closing her eyes for a moment her ki would gather around her. The orchid coloring twinged with gold as she held herself in place and then burst forward attacking invisible enemies.
Spin kicks and combinations of rapid jab hook combinations came from her. The combination of attacks landing upon the invisible to Alexander opponents that only existed within Ninjin’s mind. She would keep up the torrid pace for ten minutes before planting her left foot into the ground and swinging her hands around behind she began to charge a Kamehameha wave which she let loose toward a large boulder at the far end of the plateau. The impact sent it flying away as the light blue ki blast blew it clear away from where she was standing.
Panting a little she smiled as she ended the shorter routine as she opened her eyes and looked out over the plateau.

Alexander gave a small nod as he looked around the mountains, taking the woman's words in as he looked out from the plateau down to the city where he had come from. Her words rang true as his gaze flickered out to the buildings where he'd come from. The fact that this place was so close to the city, and yet at the same time, so very far away. It was an entirely different world, up here, and he wondered if, for a time, if he might seek out places of solitude like this in the future. It was something that provided a certain sense of serenity. He was deep into thought about this when he finally realized that she had begun to speak again. He paused, turning his gaze back to her.
She continued to speak on the Turtle School, and he gave a small nod at her as she spoke, curious about those that she did train. If she considered several of them on her level, and one of them was currently the Grand Mistress of the Turtle School. That was...interesting to him. She seemed so powerful and controlled, and the fact that she knew of at least four others that were on her level or more...that simply said to Alexander that he needed to focus on his training more than he had been. He had slacked off some when Master Fudendrenk passed...but here was this woman who had already trained several and she was continuing to push herself.
He watched, curious as she continued, inviting him to train alongside her. "Perhaps," he said, giving her a small nod in return. He took a single step backward as he watched her ki visibly wrap around her, wreathing her in its gold-and-orchid light. It was interesting to see- most of the aura that he'd seen up until this point had been pure white, indicative of no particular bend to their ki but hers had something...more to it. It was something new to him, and he looked down at his right arm with some level of curiosity. Perhaps his own ki had changed now...or rather, the void would give him something different entirely. He hadn't tried to enter into a similar state since the transition.
She moved then, and a flurry of attacks came out. His emerald eyes watched her form, her movements, the subtle shifts of weight from foot to foot as she unleashed a barrage upon a number of invisible enemies. He couldn't see what she was imagining at first, but as he focused, he could almost tell exactly what the foes she was striking were doing. As she imagined an attack and dodged accordingly, he saw what they did by how she responded to it. Her body seemingly an unending torrent of movement, a hurricane contained in a single body that was struggling to get out.
As she finished with the ki attack that even Alexander knew, he gave a grunt of both appreciation and interest. "That's the first Kamehameha wave I've ever seen in person. It's as spectacular as they say," the boy murmured. He clenched his hands into fists then, the boy's own aura whipping around him for the first time. Pain lanced through his body, threatening to break his concentration but he ignored it even as the markings appeared along his forearm. His own aura was white, as it had been before, but it was tinged with black around the outer edges. "The Turtle Style is definitely formidable. I'd like to see how much of it I picked up from that display," he spoke.
He slid into a stance which was a copy of what she had done a moment before. It wasn't quite right, of course, but he had a keen eye for detail as he too began to go through motions, remembering what he'd seen of her own movements and applying them to his own style, adapting something similar to a hybrid between Fudendrenk's kata, which he'd been taught for years, and Ninjin's own hybrid forms.

“Well the Kamehameha while impressive with its strength to me is lacking something. To me it just feels that there needs to be some variation to it. Ive seen several different variants that the students I trained have developed. So while strong it is bland enough that people can add their own flare to it.” To her the Kamehameha was just that. It was a hammer to be used to nail down a target. There was no precision in comparison to some of the other techniques she had seen over the year since she had mastered the Kamehameha. Inside her mind was another variation to the technique but she was going to have to test it out on her own. This was not going to be the place to theorize this independent technique. Especially when she watched the young man clenched his fists and his aura whipped up.
“It takes a person who has dedication to the craft of martial arts to be able to fight as I did. Let’s see just how much of a student you are.” Narrowing her eyes as she watched him slip down into a familiar stance. A smirk crossing her face as she was paying attention to the fact he was mimicking her stance. Despite that she knew that what shehad shown him was not the fullest extent of her personal style. What she had shown him was the more base Turtle influenced side. She had the more wild Wolfen side of her fighting style , and then she had the perfect fusion of the two styles. This final stance was one that only a few had seen from her. So now she watched this young man and watched how he adapted fast to what she had done and with his own ability.
Standing there she found herself slipping into the teacher mindset more and more as she watched the movements of Alexander. One position she noticed each time he would rotate toward a specific stance. Noticing a slight drop in his guard she would yell out. “When you get into your fourth stance raise your right arm about three inches. It will provide more reach and defensive capability in the closer fights. The lower look is fine for hit and run style of fighting.”
For the first time in a very long time she felt the instruction given might be received and used correctly by a fresh set of eyes. Smiling at the man as she continued to watch him closely.

Alexander watched the remnants of the Kamehameha wave dissipate into the atmosphere, his gaze moving to Ninjin as she spoke. "I see," he said after a moment, though he wasn't quite convinced of her words, at least not at first. This was something that he hadn't ever encountered before. Fudendrenk had taught him that each and every technique, no matter how simple and bland, was incredibly useful in the right circumstances. He had been tempted to avoid that line of thought but he couldn't deny that even some of the most mundane techniques that he brought to the table were still highly effective in their own area.
But even so, he understood that need to tinker with one's abilities, to gather information about how your own techniques worked and push them to the limit, forcing them to do things beyond what they normally should. It was something that he had been considering as well, given the fact that no matter how much he seemed to practice, he never felt his own strength growing beyond what it had been for y ears. He had thought to expand his strength through utilizing multiple attacks, and perhaps discovering a new form of power that might lay down that road. Of course, that had been before Ayumu's tampering had come to pass, and he felt himself changed by the encounter.
At her words, he nodded before he moved to begin the kata that he'd seen her do. He did not know how well he was performing, but she did not criticize him, at least not at first. His memory was sharp, but he could not recall all the fine points of each position, each movement, every thing she did. She moved like lightning, and she had kept up that breakneck speed for nearly ten minutes before she'd ended with the kamehameha wave- there was no chance of him replicating that feat. As he moved, he became aware that her gaze had become far more searching, as if she were looking for holes in his form. For a moment he thought that she was looking for his weaknesses in case they ever fought, but that line of thought ended immediately as she barked an order at him.
He paused slightly as his mind processed her words, judging their worth. He pulled back from his stance and then entered the third once more, moving to continue from there. As he did, he finished the third and began to move into the fourth. As she had instructed, he lifted his arm several inches. The stance felt a little unnatural to him at first, until he began to perform the movements that were contained within that set of kata. He realized exactly why she'd asked (or demanded, really) that he do this, as it completely changed the way that he believed that the fighting style was supposed to work, at least in this set.
As he finished the fourth stance, he gave a small exhale, feeling his lungs burning as they attempted to grasp the thinner air up here. Beads of sweat dotted his brow, but he didn't seem too worse for wear, aside from the harsher breathing. "It's been a long time since I've had instruction," he admitted, moving to adopt that fourth stance again, making certain to keep his arm raised. He gave her a small smirk. "I don't suppose you're still taking students?"

As she watched him switch up his stance a smile crossed her face. As she was not adjusted to give any sort of criticism anymore to their fighting style. Yet here she was doing exactly that once more to someone she had met. ::Guess old habits die hard there Ninjin. Be careful though this young man is quite skilled. He is like a unfinished blade. A dangerous weapon in its current state but if it gets polished and sharpened it could become one of the deadlier forces on the planet. :: Her thoughts came fast as she watched him push forward despite the altitude affecting him. The smile on her face stayed quite prominent as she watched him finish his stance.
Clapping her hands at him with the unwavering smile she looked him other with her trained eyes. The heavy breathing and heavy sweat upon his brow proved how well it was the training was at this altitude. “Everyone needs the instruction from time to time… Even masters can use criticism from time to time. Helps them remain proper and true to what they believe in. I for one have been humbled by a few wild masters I have met. Even with my own mastery of my form seeing these others threw me for a loop and I was unable to adapt so I lost. Taking a lesson from those experiences I adapt and change.”
Her words she now knew where not falling on deafened ears. When he asked about if she was still taking students her smile widened a little. Bringing a hand up to her head she scratched the side of her head. “You could say I am but I am not… As I am still an honorary master of the Turtle School despite my retirement from the Turtle Hermit position. I can instruct in the first few forms of the school but I cannot teach the secrets of the school. That would need instruction from the Headmistress herself. Despite the fact I trained her.”
Letting out a chuckle as she watched him drop to his stance once more. A hint of a misschevious look in her eyes as she moved to stand across from him. “If you want to listen to me here today I will give you a lesson as much as you want. So listen to me on your stance. You have a great base and with the one tweak I saw you should do fine with this stance… But remember this. You do not want to be to predictable. If you can someone master the ability to use your other attacks while inside a different stance you can catch your opponent off guard. Trust me as I am speaking from experience. One time I tricked an opponent and fired off a ki blast from my feet to injure them when they thought I was too tired to continue to fight as I could not lift my arms. Also try increasing your striking power with ki.”
Ninjin smiled as she moved to the side and raised her left hand and clenched it into a fist. Slipping into a quick stance she looked at him before throwing a straight punch. Yet her punch was enhanced with ki and it moved faster than expected. Looking back at Alexander she spoke up. “This is a good way to catch an opponent off guard. As you can mix that style of strike into your attacks. Best way to do it is focus your ki in the striking surface of your fist and at the back of your elbow. As you move in release the ki in your elbow as it will push your fist faster toward your opponent…”

As Alex finished and he glanced back to her, he felt a relatively odd sense in his chest. He wasn't particularly used to seeing someone smile so much, because his parents generally were quite quiet with just about everything. Fudendrenk too was very...withdrawn and while he did compliment Alexander on his style and form, he was never exactly excited about it. Nenjin, on the other hand, seemed to be extremely excited about the steps that he was taking and the progress that he was making on the forms that she was trying to teach him. She seemed to have a genuine love for teaching, that or at least having someone learning what she was speaking on. It was...interesting, to him, to have someone be taking this much interest in his development.
He gave a small nod to her words. "I suppose that is true," he offered, still trying to stabilize his breathing. There was a major piece of information here, that he really needed to take in and digest. Adaptation. He needed to be able to always adapt to an enemy's style and do his best to utilize what talents he had in order to overcome his foes. If he remained static in his style and did not expand, then he was going to stagnate. "I see your point on that, and I will have to apply that to all of my future training," he spoke, giving her a singular nod. "Though I do find it hard to believe that someone of your caliber was bested- I suppose I must continue to push myself as well. I wouldn't even be worth their time," he murmured.
At her response to his questions regarding being a teacher, he nodded, his expression still solemn. "Of course. I wouldn't think to push you outside of your bounds," he said evenly, watching her. "I just felt that I might ask, given your wide experience with different martial arts, as well as the prestigious Turtle School. As you said, being unable to adapt is the surest way to leave me without victory. You've inspired me to look beyond the style I already know and move on to learning others," he said, his words as reserved as ever. He looked down to his right wrist again, noting that the markings had faded now since he was no longer powering up. It was the curse that Ayumu had cast upon him, and while it was offering great power, he couldn't deny that he felt a certain...trepidation at using it.
She continued then, instructing him further. His emerald gaze watched her, took in her words and did his best to grasp and understand them. The woman obviously had far more experience with fighting and skill than he did, and from the way things were going, she would have more than he ever would, if she continued to push herself like this. She shared a unique application of her ki, which caused him to look down at his own feet out of curiosity, wondering if he could manage to do something similar without needing to practice it. The way she'd mentioned it, it seemed to have simply happened on the fly, which lend a great deal of credence to her abilities.
"That falls perfectly in line with your earlier words about adaptation," he said with a small nod. "Not only will you lose if you are unable to adapt, but also if you do not force your opponent to do so," he continued, taking her words strongly to heart. This had been the first time since Fudendrenk's death that someone had taken the time to instruct him and teach him how to perform different techniques, and insight on how to use them to their fullest potential. She began to talk too about enhancing his strikes with ki, causing him to give a small nod. "That is one that I have learned and have been developing. My previous master, Fudendrenk, was very prudent about ki control within the body, more than he was anything else. I had been in a fight where one of my lungs were damaged, and I was able to carry on simply by supplementing my lungs with my ki," he spoke.
He shifted into his more comfortable stance, the one that Fudendrenk had taught him rather than the Turtle stance. He closed his eyes as he exhaled, gathering that ki from the center of his body and shifting it out to his right arm, firing it out at a speed that was far faster than the attacks he'd been using, though likely still rather slow to her. He pulled it back in with just as much force, using that to rotate his body, turning a small flip in the air, having moved the ki down to his legs before he brought his heel down on the ground before him, a dull 'thud' echoing from where he'd struck. He held back, not wanting to shatter the ground they were standing on, but the movement would make it clear that was one aspect of fighting that he had mastered.
"But to try in the elbow...that is something new," he admitted as he repeated the previous movement. He had been using his ki to supplement his muscles, but he hadn't thought to use it in the way that she had described. He moved, gathering that ki in his elbow before he launched the attack forward, giving a small grunt of surprise as the fist moved quicker than he'd expected, causing him to nearly throw his shoulder out of its socket. "Interesting..." he breathed, moving to repeat the stance, firing a few more of the attacks to get a feel for the lesson that she'd provided.

“The easiest thing to always remember is that there will always be someone better than you out there. You may be the best on your block but there is someone better in your city. Once you become the best in your city then you have to fight the best of your country. So on and so forth. I found this out to be true as I was at one time pressuring to be considered one of the strongest on Earth. Now I know I do not hold a candle to the strongest on the planet. As one of those people is someone I consider a friend of mine and I know another that is family to me who is much stronger than I.” Speaking softly and yet seriously as she looked at Alexander and his motions. As to her this was a definite truth. There was never going to be any arguing with her over it. Noticing his glance down at his wrist Ninjin would not say anything as she observed him. Instead she just started to take in all the information he was giving her.
“Exactly the point of this rather impromptu lesson for you Alex. It is something I have tried to teach to my husband but the lug barely gets it most of the time. And your former master sounds quite wise. It is a good thing to learn to perfect your control of your own ki. As applications for it is nearly endless. I have seen Namekians use it to shrug off limbs being severed and regrow the limb. I have seen people fight with sure fire fatal wounds for several seconds longer just due to their sheer ki holding their bodies together before they fell apart. “ As she spoke she reflected slightly on the words of Amalia and her former Turtle Masters. ‘All about learning yourself to learn the world around you.’ That was the phrase they always used to use to describe how best to fight. Always learn and adapt to your opponent instead of staying with the same rigid path. Rigidity was something not good to maintain.
“Very good movements. You are something of a quick study aren’t ya?” Nodding at him as she watched him begin to move along with the modified style of fighting that she had instructed him on.

"Always someone better," Alexander echoed, giving a small sound as he thought that over. He supposed it made sense and it had merit. He never would have thought that he'd find anyone stronger than Fudendrenk, but in the short time that he'd been away from him, in those two short years he'd found many that would put his master to shame. The thought of it back then was mind-boggling, but now it was just something he'd learned to handle. "I suppose that makes perfect sense," the boy said with a small nod in her direction, still considering those words. There could be several that he thought he was the equal of, but it would not be long before he would find himself losing simply due to hubris.
As she continued, Alexander gave a small nod. She was certainly powerful, that he could see, just from the movements that she'd performed thus far. But even as she was, she continued on to say that she couldn't hold a candle to the current strongest on the planet, which made Alex's own mind swim for a moment. Where did that put him? He knew in the school that he attended he was roughly in the top ten, but he had never really set his sights beyond the school. He realized, as he listened to the woman, that things were...much different than he'd expected them to be. There was a whole different world beyond the one that he had focused so much on.
She continued her lecture on ki, and Alex once more gave another nod. "Fudendrenk was very particular about the use of ki. Any chance or lesson he could work it in, he did. I feel, as you've said, that it has definitely set me up to be a stronger fighter, but for the moment I find my own strength...lacking. Perhaps one day I will be able to approach your level, and then at that point, as you've said, I would need to set my sights on the country, or perhaps the world," he said softly, looking down to his hand as he closed it tight again into a fist. He had a strange urge driving him. He wanted to be the strongest that was out there...and he had no idea how long it would take him, but he did not plan to stop just because he was feeling a little uncertain about his own growth. As Fudendrenk said, only shattering barriers could warrant you true power.
At her compliment, Alexander graced her with the smallest of smiles, before his expression hardened once more back into the usual nihilistic mask he wore. "So Fudendrenk said as well. I find that the forms of the different styles come rather easily to me. The problem is the weaving of one form into the next, as you've stated," he said, moving along with his memory of her movements. His sharp gaze watched her as she stood, and were he another boy his age it might be watching her out of personal reasons but Alexander was doing so solely to match her form to his. Making small adjustments as he saw the slight differences she had made and comparing them to his own version of her style.
"How does the Kamehameha Wave...work?" he asked after a moment, pausing as he was in the form before she'd launched her own. "I have a talent similar but it doesn't feel quite...the same," he murmured as he extended his palm toward another, nearby rock. His aura flared for a moment, before the burst of energy shot forth from his palm, slamming into the offending boulder. "It lacks...oomph," he spoke, not really sure of a better word to use.

“And yet even if there are always someone better never forget what your initial base was created upon. That is why I became the Turtle Master as I was at one time a student of the Turtle School when I was younger. So I went back finished my training after wandering for six years. Learning all of my own personal techniques that I use to this day during this period. Then again I still kept an open mind and learned even more.” She felt she was retreading some ground so she stopped talking about it. Walking over to a boulder behind Alex she floated up and sat down on the top of the rock as she watched him.
She let out a light chuckle as Alex’s old master sounded almost like an old hermit she had happened upon really early in her travels. For all she knew it could’ve been the same person but she doubted it as the man had wandered far and wide. “Goals are good to have… I never really had any when I was a wandering fighter. When I did I took over the position of Turtle Hermit and within a few weeks attained a power long thought missing from Saiyan lore.”
Her brow raised as he asked about the Kamehameha. Asking about how it worked as he demonstrated his own base Ki Wave. To her it was simple to understand but it was because of her own mastery of the technique. “Well the lack of oomph is because of lack of mastery of manipulating your ki wave to manifest its strengths. Here let me assist you on that. Raise up both of your hands in front of you and aim it toward that boulder in the distance. Then as you begin to charge your ki to fire off a blast use more ki to focus and begin to swirl the ki. Swirl the ki around until you can feel the power of increase and then release it. You can change it several different ways. Try it inside of several different ways. It took me a while to learn to do this.”
She spoke before standing on the rock and she raised her hands up. The two different colored swirls of ki entered her hands before she released the pair of ki. They swirled and combined into a single drill like push of ki into a boulder next to the other one as it detonated after she hit it. “That is my Spiral Drill Wave. A created Ki Wave technique that I loosely based off what I told you to do.”

Alexander gave a small nod to Ninjin. Her words made sense, and it was odd that he'd never really thought about them the way that she was explaining them to him. The thoughts swarmed in his mind as he considered what she was going over. She wandered for quite a time and studied and learned on her own, before she came back to the Turtle School. “If that's the case, I've got about four more years of self-learning,” he spoke, pondering that thought. She traveled for about six years before she had come into her own...so he didn't need to push himself so hard, perhaps.
Then again, he didn't think that he could stop from it. The urge to get stronger was something that he didn't think that he could put down. Every fiber of his being longed for strength, and he wondered how much of that came from his own need, and how much came from the Void. He gave a small sound then as he looked back down at his arm. He was curious, perhaps, if he might get some insight from Ninjin about it. She might know something about it, perhaps...but he had no idea if she'd had any experience with the Void or not.
“The only goal I have is to get stronger,” he spoke, even though he didn't have the same conviction he had in his voice that he'd had prior. The main thing he wanted to do, really, was to learn about the Void, and master it. But once more, he had the thought that she wouldn't know exactly what the Void was, and thus the question then became rather...moot. He closed his eyes, pushing the idea of the Void from his mind for now- he didn't need to dwell on something that he wasn't going to be able to get an answer for.
She chose to answer his question then, regarding the Kamehameha Wave. He watched as she began to explain something new, to him. Taking the idea of utilizing ki, and then taking it one step further to actually combine two separate beams into a singular one, which flew into a boulder nearby. The attack exploded, sending some debris around which didn't reach either of them. Alex gave a small sound of thought as he watched her- he'd never even considered utilizing two separate parts of ki together in one attack- that was a rather revolutionary idea.
He gave a small sound as he looked down at his hands. “I'm going to try something...different. If you don't mind,” he said, looking over toward her. “Same idea, just a different application.” He hadn't planned to overtly announce his ability to harness the Void but this thing that she'd done had made him curious. He exhaled slowly, extending out his hands as she had instructed, and he began to gather ki in his left hand, letting it surround and suffuse his fingers with that power. It was very much like she had started, with that power gathering around his left palm.
Then, he began to channel Void with his right. Unlike his left, which held a fairly symmetrical and even source of the white-colored ki, his right hand had something...else. It seemed to be formed of illusion and shadow. It was black, somewhat, but also a myriad of muted, toned-down colors. It was like looking into an eye of madness, and watching it sleep. He slowly moved his hands closer together, attempting to do what Ninjin had done and cause the two to swirl around one another into a spiral beam.
However, what happened instead was something confusing and almost a little horrifying. As soon as the Void touched the Ki, it leapt from his right hand to his left, surrounding and consuming it. It looked as if it were devouring the other power, until a strange, grey liquid began to drip from his left hand, the stuff sizzling as it landed on the rock beneath him. He avoided touching it with his feet, not wanting it to burn through his body. Still, he couldn't help the lump that had appeared in his throat at the uncertainty at what he was witnessing.
He frowned, willing away both void and ki, and as he did so, a spatter of they grey liquid hit the ground, eating away at the rocky outcropping they stood on, leading to a small hole created at his feet. “Well. That's not what I wanted,” he spoke aloud, his gaze on his hands and the ground beneath him.

“My six years is something odd. A lot of the travelling masters of Earth’s past would travel for decades if not nearly their entire lives with only passing their skills down in their last few years of life. The fact I did not wind up that way is something of a surprise to myself. “ Smiling and shaking her head toward Alexander she had an idea of what he was speaking of. Measuring oneself against others was something everyone did from time to time. Even now Ninjin could not help but measure herself against her cousin. The cousin of hers that was one of the greatest and most influential people upon the galactic scene. So it was obvious Ninjin had quite the strides to try and catch her cousin in terms of power and in influence though her influence was still being felt because of her former students and their actions. Actions she hoped she had guided them into doing the right choices in the future.
“That is at least a goal. You at least have an end goal compared to so many that just flutter between this and other goals. Someday you will find a reason to get stronger and then you will grow more and more and at an even faster rate then even you could believe was possible. Like right now I have regained a bunch of my power that was lost when I had my children. Yet now I have this drive to get stronger in order to protect them more than anything else in this world. Be it fighting against those on the world now or those that would be incoming from outside the planet… I will be there to fight all of them all the same.” Echoing out similar words to earlier but she knew that these where needed as to Alexander these would still be rather fresh as Ninjin had not beaten into their heads her own sense of justice at this time. When he mentioned taking a different approach to the ki blast she had just shown him it piqued her interest. This was the first time she had done this for someone else and this was the first time she was watching someone take an idea she had and attempting to tweak it with their own flair.
Watching him charge his ki she noticed something off about the ki that was being gathered inside of his right hand. Closing her eyes she attempted to sense the ki that he was gathering inside of his right hand. Yet she was unable to do it as to her it felt too foreign too different. The instant that the ki impacted with this other substance she watched as it absorbed the ki and spiraled itself out of control and into a grey liquid that poured down onto the ground. A small puff of smoke came off the rocks as she blinked and stood up. Jumping down off the boulder she would wait for the void ooze to finish dissolving away before approaching Alexander’s right arm and taking a grasp of it. “I do not mean to be forceful but I would like to look over your right hand… As I saw you where attempting to do the exact same thing in both hands and yet something was blocking the wave inside your right hand. Creating this black shadow that the moment it touched ki consumed it and turned it into that ooze we saw. This intrigues me. Yet all the while you did attempt to do what I had shown you and you are rather skilled to at least be able to do that.”
She had a lightbulb moment inside of her head as she smirked at him. Lifting his hand up as she spoke softly. “Have you ever tried to use that power in this hand to deflect ki?”
