The city was quiet and calm. The skies were clear, the stars were bright, and there was a small breeze that made it nice. The majority of the citizens in the colony were tucked in nicely, all asleep, dreaming of world domination and who they were going to fight next. Tonight was like so many other nights in the colony, the only people out and about were either working night shifts or thugs.
The day before they had finished celebrating the end of an annual festival of independence that brought lots of fighting, competition, drinking and generally having fun. There was only good tidings in the air, no one suspected a thing. Why should they? Even the officials were tucked in nicely, except for a select few that stayed up to discuss business.
Hitake however found it hard this night to sleep. He was apprehensive, a little on edge and he felt as if time were slowing to a crawl. His palms were clammy, his forehead was slightly sweaty, and as he sat in his chair his right foot tapped repeatedly on the floor with a soft thud. He waited and waited, his brothers were sure taking their sweet time.
One am exactly on the dot, a knock at Hitake's door broke the silence. Seconds passed and the door crept open, revealing Hitake in full uniform. His brothers stood there looking at him, waiting for him. Nothing was said, nothing need be said. The aura of the group was electrified, you could cut the murderous intent with a knife it was so thick.
Two years in the making, and it was time to do or die. Time had relatively flown by, it felt just like yesterday Hitake had resurfaced into the community. With his now were no less than 50 individuals. Each one of them with hardened resolves for what was to happen next. The group took off into the air, shooting across the sky like a meteor shower. Halfway to the central station of the colony, the group broke into 5 units.
Hitake lead a group of 9 other individuals in the direction they were heading, while 4 of his most trusted partners split off into 4 other groups of ten headed toward designated targets. Hitake with a will of fire wore a very serious look, no room for weakness. In his mind the thoughts of destruction and revenge would fuel his unending, quiet rage. Tonight, hell would be paid 10 fold. The destination was finally reached. His other groups would have been in position as well. The time was upon them.

Three hours earlier, Hitake and his 4 partners were sitting in a small home around a small circular table with cups of tea in front of them. The 5 of them were looking over a map and several documents strewn over the table containing important information. "So its really come to this." The one directly on Hitake's right spoke out. He was a large overly muscular saiyan that barely fit into his chair. He was over 6 foot tall with hair down to the back of his knees that touched the floor behind him. The other 4 nodded, the youngest looking of the group with short black hair and of a medium build stood up and pointed at a place on the map. "This is the headquarters of the W.M.D. This will ultimately be our target. For our plan to work we will need to see this place completely taken over and shut down. No second chances, we must do it right the first time." Hitake stood with the man eying the map. He would pull other papers over the map at this point, pointing out other targets to the rest of the group. The plan was ultimately simple.
"Each of you will strike one of these high value targets, destroy as much as possible and create mass hysteria and confusion. I will personally lead the delivery group to the central station and deliver the package. From there, once we achieve our goal, the rest of you are to fly to the central station to reinforce us until the no person who would stand against us is left." The others in the group would then stand and grab up their maps and documents. Each of them would salute to the other before shaking hands. This would possibly be the last time they were able to sit together peacefully.
An hour later, each general stood before a group of 46 outside of the colony. Each of them silent, unmoving. Hitake's voice would call out to break the silence. Everyone listened. "Tonight we change our history. Whether it be for good or worse. It depends on our success tonight as a group. Each one of us is here because our mistreatment. We've been forcibly torn from our friends, our homes, or our families. No one here shows weakness, shows any lack in resolve. You all are the ones who will give our future generations the foot hold to carry on. Let us move fourth with vengeance in our hearts, destruction on our minds, and fire flowing through our veins!"
No cheers were had. Their hands raised to their chest in a special salute, and the small meeting was done. Each one left with a sense of pride and duty that over shadowed any cheering that could be done.
Hitake then headed home for what could possibly be his last night to spend there. He would the last two hours for the rest ot prepare. His group already ready to go. It would soon be time, he was anxious to get going.

Zero hour. The signal was given, and the assault began. Sirens filled the air as explosions were heard throughout the entire colony. The 4 groups in charge of causing chaos had began their attack o the targets. Energy blasts rain down upon the builds like a fiery storm, destroying and killing faster than people could react. People in their homes awoke to the sounds of devastation. Cries of confusion, hatred, fright called out through the night. The groups of people not incapacitated by the surprise attack quickly gathered and took positions to fight back. Just as planned, the central station had lowered its forces by sending some to each site to help.
This was the very thing Hitake had planned. It didn't matter where you were, the sky was a light with bright lights and flashes of fire and energy in brilliant reds oranges yellows and even blues. Shock waves akin to those from earth quakes could be felt from miles around as the concentrated attacks continued to land unrelenting and indiscriminate. The targets were militant style buildings and complexes within the community. Very few civilians worked here, that was what the group wanted. There was wasn't with the people of the colony, but who ran it.
The place had become an apocalyptic war zone within the first 10 minutes of the assault. By now the militants side had lost a third of its forces, however the assault teams numbers would dwindle as well. A long battle was not what they wanted or needed. The element of surprise was what they had to use. Each team last 3-4 members as the time went on, those who died would be remembered in the future, forever immortalized. The rest of the groups would fly down and take cover to minimize casualties. Out of the groups the 4 leaders were still alive. They had a plan for a moment like this.
Each group moved into the sewers below while under cover. The night sky that was so brilliantly lit up by a show of fireworks now stayed a slight redish orange from the fires that burned. It went oddly silent, the shock waves had subsided, and the screams started to die down but the people in panic left their homes in case they needed to protect themselves. The 4 groups would go down a series of tunnels, mapped out which lead toward the central station. They would not meet up for some time, it would make it hard to travel quickly, and if one group got caught out the rest would still be able to move on.
It would take 20 minutes for the groups to near the central complex. From there the groups finally met. The leaders would get together, planning their next attack. They had hoped they had made it there on time. They were only late by about 5 minutes, but 5 minues could mean success or failure. They hurriedly got their groups together, placed them into position and gave the signal. They would blast the floor from under the complex and begin to rush in for the main assault, the final assault. To determine the fate of their attack.
Twenty minutes earlier. Hitake and his group hid until the forces of the main compound were split. At the designated time Hitake gave several hand signals that sent him and his group rushing forward towards the walls of the complex. In a torrent of energy the walls would fall, leaving a massive opening for the group to rush into. This surprise attack gave them the chance to advance. The remaining forces were split to guard each entrance, one north south east and west. They had entered through the southern entrance. It took only moments through a quick exchange for them to take out the soldiers stationed there. They needed to hurry and get inside the main building.
Somehow they managed to make it without any casualties. Hitake knew that wouldn't last long, the rest of the soldiers were converging on them. He had a small window to get in and take out the root of the issue. The group would blast its way into the building, met by half a dozen or so guards. After a short fight the guards lay dead and several of his group were injured, one of them having lost a limb. He refused to stop, his adrenaline flowing like blood from an open wound. Hitake would not be the one to stop him. He was capable even with one arm.
They continued on, blasting through to the center where his targets were located. They were only a third of the way through the building at this point. A good 10 minutes had passed, and behind them they could hear the sounds of some 40 odd troops converging on them. If they were caught by this they would surely be killed. They had to trust that their allies were on the way as reinforcements. They needed to be there within 5 minutes otherwise the group would be in deep trouble. Hitake grit his teeth, he knew the pressure was on. He urged his men forward and dug deep to keep going. Just a little further and he would be face to face with the enemy.
The 40 something group behind them were now making their way through the openings created by the rebels. The leaders of the group were signaling the soldiers to hurry inside, to attack, to leave no prisoners. They had to protect the officials within the building, even if it meant their lives. It surely might, as the destruction to the building would greatly reduce the stability of the buildings foundations and bracing. Much more destruction could mean a collapse.
Hitake had finally reached the last chamber. His group would turn to face the now visible front line forces that threatened to squash them. Hitake turned faced the forces coming with fierce determination. He was going to stand his ground. No, his group would not have it. They insisted he continue, that they would hold them off somehow. Hitake fought this but not for long, the determination from the group alone was enough to move him. He burst fourth into th final chamber which sat 5 officials, each one strong, middle ages and prepared for battle. He stood there eying them. This was it, the final moments.
The group behind him fought hard, taking out two to three enemies for one of them. The numbers began to dwindle slowly, from nine to seven, from seven to five. The situation was now dire. The reinforcements needed to get there NOW!! It was as if they were saved by the bell so to speak. Five minutes late, but better late than never. Then large force fell through the floor, assaulted by the more than twenty remaining members of the resistance. The group burst fourth, the surprise enough to gain the upper hand. Hitake heard the roar of the resistance, it meant his operation was a success. They had came just in time. Concern now showed on the face of the officials, Hitake just grinned. He smelt fear, blood. LIke a ravenous hyena, he was hungry for blood.
"Who are you to attack us? How dare you attack the people that welcomed you in with open arms, allowed you a life and a home!" The officials cried out at him as they jumped up. Hitake shook his head, staring at the head official.
Through pain and grit teeth Hitake replied. "You do not have a right to determine which of us has a good life and which of us is trash. Before you took over, it was a democracy, where the people decided what was best. Four years ago you took over, four years later you shall fall."
The head official recognized his voice. He burst out laughing, shaking his head and pointing. "You're the Itori boy aren't you? Your parents wanted to set up a government ran by the peoples elected officials. We couldn't have that, no no. Why let something so good go to waste?!"
Hitake's fire burned brighter. His anger pushed him forward, he dashed full speed to slam into an unsuspecting official, both fists slamming into his stomach. Blood and spit shot from the mans mouth to cover the floor. He wasn't dead, he slid back and charged Hitake, landing a solid right hook to the left side of Hitake's head. His eyes flashed bright with lights then dull. He shook it off quickly and growled. By that time three of the remaining four had come to the aid of the other. Hitake refused to let up. The 4 of them attacked at once, surrounding him. Hitake blocked off several blows, several of them landing. His stomach, ribs, kidneys had taken heavy blows. His body lurched and he released fluids from his mouth onto the floor. His adrenaline stopped him from giving out though. He retaliated with a fervor unexpected. Hitake managed to land a few get punches and kicks into his assailants, enough that he could break free.
Hitake jumped back, breathing hard, blood running down his lip. He stared at them with pure disgust. He had to take a couple of them out or this would be bad. Just then his four generals had rushed into the room, zooming past him. They slammed into 4 of the officials head on, sending them flying into the opposite wall. Hitake had not planned this. He was angry but at the same time relieved. It seemed the assault outside had been going in their favor. Hitake now eyed the leader of the officials. He was the biggest, the strongest. The two of them circled, and dashed in to trade blows. A kick blocked, a punch landed, a blast of energy barely missing each others heads as it crashed into the walls opposite of them creating rubble. The two dashed in over and over, assaulting the other with a series of blows. Each encounter caused a bright flash of light as energy spilled fourth from between them. It was enough to disrupt the other fights going on in the room.
Several minutes went by, Hitake at the leader were both beaten and battered. Hitake's friends had not gained ground. This had to end now! "Give it up boy! You won't be able to defeat us, its just a matter of time before we over whelm you and take your heads!" The leader exclaimed in a serious manner. He would pull a sword from its sheath on his back and take it firmly in both hands. Energy would begin to boil fourth as the man cried out, drawing his latent energy. The building shook, the rubble began to lift. The building threatened to topple on all of them. Hitake hunkered down and readied himself. He was not ready for what was to come. The man was unexpectedly fast and strong. An after image left behind as he pushed forward at Hitake. At that moment a hot sensation was felt through Hitake's stomach. He looked down to see a sword through his stomach. He coughed, spat out blood, his vision going blurry. He fell back as the blade was drawn from his stomach. The man laughed then wiped
the blood from his blade with his cape that he wore to symbolize his place of power. His friends looked on horrified, but they still had a fight of their own. Hitake slowly fell toward the ground, or that was what it felt like. He never landed though. His legs stiffed, and he pulled himself up as blood ran from the wound. He was no longer afraid, he was no longer anxious. Instinct kicked in. He stood there breathing hard. This wound would not be the end of him. His rage boiled over, the building shook terribly, the ground began to break, energy began to pour from Hitake. Much like the leader had. Hitake's cries were louder, his power kept climbing. The man jumped back surprised, but he charged. He knew he still had the advantage. Hitake would meet his charge with equal force, the ensuing blows causing the walls around them to collapse. The next series of blows came at blinding speed, both men were hit several times in the head stomach and chest. Each blow made the other flinch for only a moment. Hitake
taking the worst of it from his wound. This exchange continued on until the official jumped back, raised his hand and released a blast of energy at Hitake. Responding in kind, Hitake released his distortion wave as a counter. Both slammed into each other with an explosion and had managed to cancel each other out. Both now stood there breathing heavily. Behind them the sounds of the other officials now losing the fight could be heard. One by one they were killed, and lay on the ground, Hitake's generals nearly exhausted, barely standing, cut burnt bruised and out of breath. The lead official let out an audible "Tch." of displeasure. "I'll have to kill you mysel..." Hitake slammed into the man full force with his right first causing the man to break from his statement, blood shooting from the mans mouth over Hitake and the floor. Hitake threw another punch, then another. His speed picked up until a barage of punches, nearly 40 of them in such rapid succession it looked like only 10 had landed. The man doubled over, his eyes going white and he fell to the floor. It looked that they had won the fight. Hitake had used the last of his energy, banking on that one attack. He forced the opening, took it and delivered. He fall on his back passed out like the lead official, not remembering what came next.
Several days later Hitake awoke with a banding around him, laying in a hospital bed. On a tv hanging from the ceiling, news had been playing of death of the corrupt leader by execution. He had been captured and killed for his crimes by the people, and it had turned into a spectacle. Hitake laughed but quickly coiled in pain and held his stomach. The wound was still healing and it hurt greatly. They had won, he never felt such a feeling of satisfaction in his life. He smiled, laid back and fell asleep again.
The next day he awoke, and despite the doctors requests he left, to meet up with his people. They were happy to receive him, now with cheers and celebration. Forcing drink and food into his hands and making him sit at a table. His general sat with him, as happy as he. They did it, they won. Without a plan they would have been crushed, and they knew it. They got lucky, but they would take it! This celebration lasted days. The future was changed, their lives were changed, the colony was changed. Hitake sat back, looked up towards the roof of the building and imagined the stars. In his mind he spoke. "I have achieved vengeance for you mom, dad. Heh, it feels nice."
