How long had he been on this god forsaken planet? Days? Weeks? Months? He couldn't recall. He knew it couldn't have been that long, but Asper swore he had been here for a decent amount of time, but nothing had come of it. He had wandered around aimlessly, and he was far beyond his limits. He had his books, but they were only a temporary fix. He needed to fight. He needed to get stronger.
The risk of life and death would push him back to where he wanted to be, but at the moment, all he could see was open farmlands. It was too much for him. Was there no civilization out this far? The humans were far more drab than he had predicted. They didn't know how to properly utilize the land, apparently. The flat surface was perfect for humanoid trafficking. He would keep this in mind for later. Herding people like cattle was certainly the best thing to add to his list of things to do.
He finally got sick of walking and took to the skies. He had to find a building somewhere. Humans had to have a decent population count if they had lasted this long. How else would their planet still be intact. He cursed under his breath, however, as his search yielded no results.
"Tch.....Is there nothing here? Was this even the right planet?"
His eyes fall upon a group of odd structures in the distance that he could only assume was a small village. He grinned in pleasure. It was about time that he found something. He cracked his knuckles and sped up, closing in fast, and coming to a stop just over the village.
There was an urge locked deep within his stomach. He didn't want the social interaction. He just wanted to fight. To destroy. Pillaging a village was top of his bucket list, and here was his first opportunity. He landed among the buildings and his grin grew even wider as people started showing up.
He had done it. He had found his first victims. It was time to step up and take action. His fingers twitched as he brought them up to level, aiming his palm at the house directly in front of him. As much destruction as he had planned, he was going to take this slow, and make them suffer. "I am going to enjoy this far too much." He laughed as his palm lit up.
Energy coursed through his fingertips and gathered in his palm. As more energy formed, the light seemed to drain from the world around him. Everything was black and white. It became a lot less complicated. He flinched as his blast launched forward and pierced through the building in front of him. A plume of dust and debris shot out the back, causing panic in the citizens of the small village. There was chaos as people tried to figure out what to do.
He was right. He took far too much pleasure in this.

Thread PL: 122,647 Up on the Lookout, a watering can paused in it's descent toward a flower bed. Ever since Bing left, Walker had been confining himself to the Lookout for the most part, passively scanning the world with his Ki sense, watching for disturbances. The BBA could handle certain threats, but it was easier if he kept an eye on things. Besides, with Bing gone, it needed to be ascertained that situations wouldn't escalate beyond all control.
However, the current blip on his spiritual radar was miniscule, barely worth noticing. It would be ignored as well, was it not for the fact that it appeared to be approaching a small village. It wouldn't take much for someone, even at that power level, to destroy a village, and it felt rather like a Saiyan. It was hard to discern more, unfortunately. Rising upwards, Walker dropped the watering can, and sped off, a crack echoing around the sound barrier.
Even with his power, the flight took several minutes, and he was quite displeased to see a building blowing up in the distance. Arriving in the skies above the village, his Ki Sense quickly pinpointed the offending fighter. With a blur of motion, he zipped in front of him, arms crossed and an irritated scowl on his face. Admittedly, that would be difficult to determine, but it was there for those who knew how to look.
It wasn't just the Saiyan's actions, either. This village was an entirely unprotected target. If this had been Vegeta, or Arcose, there would have been soldiers stationed here, fighters who lived in this village. Instead, people insisted on others protecting them, on depending on the few rather than making the might of the many. He respected the soldiers of the BBA for their bucking of that idiotic yoke, but they were too few. This in and of itself was evidence. Even after the Saiyan Invasion, the people of this planet made cracks about the "Kami Fraudster" and relied on Kaula, Vipoi, Bing, and the Blue Banner Army to defend them. If such a thing had occurred to him, he would have immediately begun preparing for the next attempt. It was as though the world had somehow refused to grasp that this universe was constantly embroiled in battle.
Focusing on the Saiyan, he spoke telepathically, eyes narrowed. "What precisely do you think you are doing? I can only hope that this was some form of mistake, because if it is not, we will need to have a little discussion. I doubt it will be enjoyable." His Ki aura washed around him like licking purple flames, and the wooden matter that made up his limbs creaked with tension.

There was a moments hesitation between attacks. He questioned his next precise attack. As he powered up another attack, a blur of motion planted a new warrior directly in front of him. He knew for certain it was an actual warrior because of the speed at which he intercepted Asper's eyesight.
The speed was great. Far more than he was expecting. He swung his second arm up and forced the arm with his ki blast up, firing it into the sky where it arced in random directions until it faded from site. He stared at it before turning his attention back to the 'intruder'. He held a heavy scowl on his face, even through the man's inverbal threat.
'It's as if he finds what he's doing useful. As though he's proud of interrupting my cleaning. Fool. He's just another roadblock on my path to success.' Asper thought to himself. He looked around at the people around. A couple of them didn't seem as fearful now that someone was standing up for them.
He turned his vision back to the interventionist. He stared him down for a brief moment, contemplating how to address the man. When he finally spoke, it was quiet, but full of authority. Or as much confidence that it took to believe he actually had authority here. "An accidental extermination? Do you think me that foolhardy? No. These rodents are in the way, and this planet needs to be cleansed for the return of the original Saiyan Empire.
"And if you stand in my way, you will meet the same grisly end..." He glared at the townsfolk. They would be eliminated. It was only a matter of time.

At the Saiyan's words, Walker's arms fell to his sides, and his head tilted to the side. He stood there, in midair, for a brief moment, and just stared at the Saiyan. What was... how... Then, it occurred to him. "By the gods, you don't know how to sense energy, do you. You have no idea... Oh good gods, you have no idea." His head flopped forward, and a series of short, choking laughs pushed their way out, before he began laughing uproariously. This Saiyan, whoever he was, had no concept of his own place. Perhaps he was a rogue, or had somehow never heard of earth before. Plus, this nonsense about the original Saiyan Empire... "If you wished to bring back the original Saiyans, you're several thousand years to late. As for your current actions..."
Suddenly, his eyes flared, and he darted forward, body moving in a sudden snapping motion. Twisting, his hands up in a guard, and his shin slamming towards Asper's side like the hammer of a god. This was followed, whether it hit or miss, by a series of rapid fire punches, snapped out one-two one-two, and then a single kick upwards, very hard. If it hit, which seemed likely, it would be followed by a hammer blow from above, sending the Saiyan in a giant V from his former position towards the ground.
Following whichever path the Saiyan took, the tree barked out a harsh laugh. "Fool... You know nothing of this world, this universe, do you? You think yourself some mighty conqueror? I am the assistant of this world's guardian, and he is hundreds of times your ability. There are people spread across this world whom I could likely defeat with minimal effort, and yet you are a fraction of their power at best. Not long ago, I met a child, not even 15 years of age, and his power was well over twice what you wield." His words were spat out in cutting, mocking tones. He was not impressed with this empty-headed Saiyan, who believed himself some great monster. "I have seen warriors of the Saiyan Solar Empire in battle, child. You would rank among their footsoldiers, at best."

Asper wasn't ready for a vicious onslaught from the man before him. The sudden motion made him go on the defensive, but the difference in speed was far too great. He felt his side cave in and he was left stunned, mouth agape. It didn't last too long because a volley of attacks left Asper confused as to which direction was up, even though he was headed that way. The final strike he got arms up for, but they did little to cushion the blow due to the overwhelming strength of his 'opponent'.
He slammed into the ground with no hope to recover. It crumpled beneath him, leaving a crater and a plume of dust. He wasn't sure what was going on. There was a lot of spinning, and it left him horribly disoriented. What kind of power had he just unleashed upon himself. He wondered if leaving planet Vegeta to target this world, this Earth was a mistake.
Yes.
There was no question in his mind as the man harped about differences in strength. He lay motionless, trying to regain feeling into some of his extremities. He clenched a fist and loosened it to try and speed up the process to no avail. Despite not feeling anything besides a blinding pain from multiple blunt force trauma wounds and hitting the ground like a hammer, he weakly pushed himself to a seated position.
There was a long silence while he went over the situation in his head before slamming his fist into the ground and pushing himself onto one knee. "I...I'm a Saiyan bred for combat. I know I'm a little late, but I'm doing the only thing I was trained for...
He couldn't think straight. The last hit had thrown him for a loop, and a part of him that had been shelved a long time ago began to show. His fear of death took over and he looked at the man with confusion and anger. "You go to sleep for over two thousand years and find a purpose for your life when you finally awaken, boy."
He pushed himself halfway up before falling back again. He didn't have the strength to get up. He hadn't lasted a minute against the man. What was he?

Floating in the air, Walker stared down at the Saiyan, listening to his half-focused rebuttal. Snorting, he cracked his knuckles, and shrugged. "Mmm. I had a similar experience, on a smaller scale. Don't call me boy, by the way." Pulling his hood back, he stared down at the Saiyan, the featureless face revealing nothing but the glowing eyes. Boring into him, the tree's gaze was filled with more than a little amusement.
"As for 'Doing what you're trained' to do... if THAT was the case, I would be grabbing your head, and absorbing you right now. I woke up, entirely empty of any knowledge, and I had to find a place in this world from nothing. No people, no history, no name. But you know what? I'm not the one whining about the fact that I just attacked a planet with no research. Did you even bother to ask the rest of the Saiyans about this place?"
Raising his hand, he clenched it for a moment. "This world fought off a full-scale Invasion from the entire Saiyan Empire. There were Oozarus everywhere, MULTIPLE Super Saiyans and stronger, including the queen of the Saiyans becoming a Golden Oozaru." Looking down, he chuckled for a moment. "I wonder.. what must the Saiyan Empire of your time have been, if you were considered a powerful fighter? How many Super Saiyans did you have?"
"I suppose it doesn't matter. Right now, you have two options." His eyes glowing, Walker activated his Bio-Metabolize. "FIGHT OR RUN, WARRIOR! Are you going to insist on sticking to your foolish pride, or will you realize just how far you have to go? Pride or Wisdom? Folly or Survival? Which is it going to be, 'Boy'?" The words were unusually harsh, but it was best to be sure. The true extent of the Saiyan's folly needed to be etched into his mind indelibly.

It wasn't nearly as nice sounding coming from a machine. The word boy echoed in his skull, and it was one of the few things he could focus on. Every single time he looked as his situation, he saw the same outcome from a list of nearly limitless scenarios. His every attack would fail, and he would be obliterated. His fear of death far outweighed his Saiyan pride.
However, it didn't overrule it completely. As much as his mind wanted him to run, his pride eliminated that option. At the same time, he wasn't foolish enough to fight back. He tried again to stand, and managed to get back up onto his feet. His knees shook heavily, but he refused to fall back.
He realized how it must look to the man before him, but he really couldn't care less at this point. He shook his head, refusing to fall into some order that he was given by someone he didn't even know. "Fight or run? I haven't the strength to do either. No, I'm no match for you, so I know fighting is foolish. Running is no better. I would never face myself in the future. It would have been better for me to wake up with a clean slate.
"But I remember my ties. I remember the planet I fought so hard for. It's a place I can never get back to, and that kills me a little inside every day. I attacked to get resistance. To get stronger if I could manage. Books don't give an accurate reading on a planet's true strength. I had to find out on my own."
He clenched his fists. He hated admitting that he didn't have the strength. That was the whole reason he came to Earth. He had expected there to be resistance, but he had hoped to overcome it. "I will not fight back. I couldn't even if I wanted to. I won't destroy anymore. It's clear I wouldn't get very far. I have no place to run to, so either you can kill me or give me a purpose. Running is no option."
His words were not fearless, but at the same time, that's what empowered him. That's what pushed him to speak. He shook his head. He didn't really see a positive outcome at the end of this. He pushed away at the part of him that still wanted to destroy. That wasn't him. It was a part of him he had to lock away. A personality that took a sideline to who he truly was. He may have been twisted in some senses of the word, but he wasn't a liar; He only prayed it was powerful enough to show to his liberator.

Moving to the ground, Walker cupped his chin in his hand. It was more wisdom than he had expected, honestly. In a way, he was impressed. Taking the third option, then? It seemed suspicious, but it was an interesting opportunity. From his hand, a single spike of wood extended, which he began flipping over and over, considering the situation. "An interesting sentiment. It's fair, though. While I think that I COULD kill you, it would be of little point. Your only sin so far, intent aside, is the destruction of a house."
The spike extended further, becoming a long and sharp edge, like a blade. "You value might, yes? I will make you a deal, I think. I want to see your conviction. As of this moment, it appears to be tempered by wisdom or fear, I am not sure which." The wood spike sunk back into his arm as the tree folded them behind his back. It was an.. unconventional solution, to be sure. Bing might not exactly approve, but the tree was feeling coldly curious. He didn't approve of Bing's decision to spare Zuccetta, especially given the current crisis on Kanassa.
Placing his hand above the Saiyan, a single vine extended, hovering above his chest. "I could say that you should simply join the BBA, or fight with the Z-Fighters, but I doubt you would be happy with that. Nor, currently, would you be useful. Even so, this world is... weak, in many ways. If I had not appeared, you would likely have been relatively unchallenged. The planet depends on the few so that the many may live. A tremendous weight is placed upon those few, and it is quite unfair."
Growling for a moment, his eyes narrowed. "I will give your kind this. Even you, weaker than most, are beyond most humans." Shaking his head, he sighed. "So, we shall do this. Survive this, and grow stronger. Come and find me, if you're so inclined, or discover another teacher. Prove that you have the potential to champion whatever cause you see fit, and perhaps you will be the spark this world needs to rise from it's stupor." The village, not far away, was watching. Still, given Walker's telepathic speech, it was impossible to hear his words.
With a downward stabbing motion, the vine-spike went downwards. Instead of impaling him, however, it would slide between the ribs, through a small hole in the skin. As Walker pushed, the root-like extension curled and twisted, forming a strange cage within the Saiyan's chest. "If you chose your own path, it will burn away at the next full moon, vanishing in your Oozaru form. If you decide to see what I can make of you... feed it Ki. It will be interesting, to say the least."

Asper took a moment to take in everything around him. He looked around at the people. The look of fear in their eyes was gone. There was admiration as they looked up to the man who had just saved them. He felt envious. He wished to be the one they were looking at.
'No. Kill them. Strike down the man and continue my work.'
A voice spoke to him, but he pushed it aside. It spoke of the dark intentions he originally held, as though another being took refuge in his soul. He felt his Saiyan heritage burning within his soul, but he couldn't douse the fire.
He held back the urges. The need for destruction tore him apart. His arm twitched and started to raise, but he caught it with his other arm and pushed it back to his side, holding it there. He couldn't strike the man. He would be killed in an instant.
'KILL HIM! Watch his eyes fade as you destroy its body. It's merely a vessel.'
He growled to himself. "Leave me alone. I can't kill him, you fool!"
He looked back to the interventionist, completely disregarding the fact that he was just speaking to himself. "I have no Oozaru form. I lost my tail before I was frozen."

Eyeing the smaller Saiyan, watching the expressions on his face, Walker noted a rather familiar looking series of expressions. Arguing with a voice only you could hear... he was more than familiar with that. At least, that's presumably what was occurring. People did not usually grab their limbs and mutter to themselves for other reasons, in his experience. Still, in his case, it was an actual other being. This Saiyan may just have been insane, or had poor self control.
"No Oozaru Form? You've had your tail cut off thrice over? I was under the impression that Saiyans could regrow their tail two times. The Queen of the Saiyans has had hers cut off at least once." Shrugging, he spread his hands. "Either way, the stigma will when you reach a sufficient threshold of power, whether via Oozaru or your own effort. Consider it a benchmark of sorts."
Behind him, the relieved Townspeople were looking relaxed, even a bit cocky. Eyes narrowing, the tree turned about. "Right then, as for you...." The cold tone immediately put a damper on any positive moods in the audience. Stalking over, Walker loomed over them, voice hard. "Pathetic. This Village must have a few hundred people, and a SINGLE invader, of soldier level, is enough to send you all running scared." His hand swept out, indicating the destroyed building.
"No Ki users? Not even BBA trained soldiers? Instead, you depend on the Z-Fighters or one of the other groups of Martial Artists to defend you, placing the responsibility on their soldiers." Shaking his head in disgust, his eyes moved across the assembled crowd, most of whom were looking very confused and more than a little scared. "No. It's so much easier to let the few fight and die for you, while you go about your lives and shrug, since it's not your problem. As soon as chaos shows up on your doorstep, however, you mewl and wail like children, begging to be saved."
With a yell, his Ki exploded, blowing a wave of air through the town. Lifting upwards, he hovered for a second, staring down. "It's disgraceful. You humans took control of this planet by being the fittest, and thus you survived. If you keep letting yourself breed weakness, one day the Earth will be subsumed, like so many others."
"Evolve or Die. Your time to choose is growing less every day."
With that, Walker flew off, leaving the village and the injured Saiyan behind. He had managed to work himself into a proper anger, but he believed what he said. Earth could not continue to allow the vast majority of it's people to be entirely defenseless. Something had to give.

"You should have killed him while you had the chance."
The voice in Asper's head spoke to him, trying to pressure him into regret, but he ignored it. There was a dark malevolence within him that hungered for blood. That was his previous self. That's who he used to be, but not anymore. He cupped his hands around his head, trying to force the voice into silence.
He needed to move away from these people. There were too many innocents. He didn't have a reason to attack them. Now he had a reason not to.
But part of him...
Part of him pushed to break free. To continue the rampage of his dark soul and destroy the life on this planet. He knew he didn't have the strength, but the voice just wouldn't quit. He took to the skies, putting some distance between him and the small village. What was he to do now?
He would have to get stronger. He had that wooden cage in his chest. He could feel it still. He knew he needed to advance in strength. Perhaps if he got back to where he used to be in strength, it would dissipate. He feared that it was closing in on his heart if he didn't. It didn't feel like it, but he didn't know anything about what the man had done to him.
His fingers tingled. He needed a way to grow stronger. A way to catch up. If he could beat that man in combat, maybe it would give him the answer he needed. "Alright, tall man. I will figure out where you are. I will have my answers..."
(And thread ended. I'm going for zenni as well. I'll put it up for grading.)
