It was an absolutely lovely day outside. Sure, there were inches of snow all over the place. Sure. But in this time of year, it seemed that for once the residences of the frozen north's capital were actually glad to be dealing with the frost. Sam was on the outskirts of town, making his way out. It would normally be considered a hard walk, especially if your only wearing a hoodie as opposed to winter gear. But once you start measuring your strength by how many trucks you can lift, you don't really stop to think if you have the stamina to make it through the snow. It seemed to get taller and taller with every step, for a short man like him in sneakers and track pants, this was pretty bad. Still, he kept thinking about what he was walking for and it was enough to get him through the snow. huh, I wonder if I could fly, if it would be easier than walking through this.... Probably just faster
He pressed on, the storm bearing down on him. For about ten minutes he swore he couldn't see five feet infront of his own face. Finally, he almost hit his body against the old bench he was here for. One of his favorite places to slack off as a child. "All right, I'd say I've had about enough of the snow." He snapped his fingers and up into the air shot a blast of fire, fast and wide. It created a huge amount of steam as it toasted the snow all around him and blasted the storm away. He sat down on the bench, looking out. He could see the town now that he had made his own little break in the storm. Why, the bench even felt like it was heated. Like it had been left out without a sitter on a hot sunny day. He sat down onto it, feeling the admittedly dead grass on his feet as he looked out down the snowy town. From high up on a steep, frosty drop. It was so peaceful. Why, if the heat around him did not leave. He could even have a nap.

Snow was amazing. It had never snowed for Svid before. Not in the city she was born in and most certainly not in her jungle. Her first experience with snow was, to put it lightly, an absolute delight. She hopped around in it, kicking it every which way. Sometimes she landed in piles of it, burying herself. She tunneled through until her head poked out. Then set out to find the next snow pile. Sure it was considerably colder than what she was used to. But she could handle it.
Her frolicking came to a sudden halt though. In all her excitement she completely neglected to be on the lookout for high levels of energy. So when a sudden burst of it could be felt not far from here she got a bit distracted. While in mid leap, she tensed up and completely forgot about landing. Or at least landing properly. She came down on a downward slope. With her attention divided, she fumbled. She rolled down, towards a lone bench in an area sadly devoid of snow.
She crashed against the bench. The crash did not hurt. But the spinning left her momentarily disoriented. Shakily she got up, crouching on all fours. Dispelling her confusion, she looked around at the peculiar absence of snow in the area. Why anyone would want such a thing baffled her.
She then remembered about the energy burst. Which brought to her attention the energy she could feel behind her. She looked back to observe the man sitting on the bench.
"Why snow go?"

Sam could just barely hear a girl tumbling down behind him. He turned his head just in time to hear them smack directly into the metal at the bottom of the bench. "Ouch, are you alright?" He said, worrying about the stranger who had came his way so clumsily. Even he put's effort into where he steps in this weather, sure. He could probably get smacked into a mountain and come out the other side in one piece. But memories of a but load of pain in his childhood kept him reflexively cautious. He had no way to sense this girls power level, to him. She was just a normal huma- nope, that's a tail. A saiyan maybe? He didn't like Saiyins much. Hell, if he found a planet with air he could breathe that had a tenth of the earths gravity he would move there right away. But they kept their pride about them with their precious Vegita.
He would get up to offer her a hand to stand. The snow was still coming down around them. Already falling back into place despite the sudden burst of great power. "There's no snow because I sent it packing, for here atleast. I came up a long ways for this bench and I could hardly even see it under all the snow let alone relax on it. Here, rest for a spell. You gotta be cold."

Svid looked at the hand for a moment. She then leaned forward to smell it. Satisfied, she then proceeded to completely ignore it. Clearly she misunderstood the gesture.
"Sent packing? How snow pack? What snow pack?" Svid inquired. She grabbed onto the back of the bench and hopped on top of it. "Svid not cold. Svid like snow. You like snow? What name?" She climbed down from the back to sit on the bench. Sitting in her case meaning crouching with her weight resting on her hands. A snowflake landed on her nose and she crossed her eyes to look at it. A flick of her tongue and it was no longer there.

Sam shrugged at the girls strange actions. She looked to be his age with some very poor linguistic skills that seemed to be tied to her misunderstanding of social norms. If she had been educated at all it would have had to be a simple one. Likely not finishing a basic K-12 program. Her clothing was ripped and tattered but her skin unmarked, the fact that she did not seem to be having any negative effects coupled with her poor vocabulary insinuated she had a high power level. Training of any sort is always possible. One can even become a master on their own if they apply themselves hard enough.
These were the thoughts going through Sams head as he hopped over the bench and sat back down on it. Already both of their breathing was easy to see again. It was a little dark and cold for Sam, so he scooted over a little closer to Svid. "Sorry missy. I meant to say I got rid of the snow in this small place so I could rest. My name is Sam, can I hear yours?" Well, if anything. The girl did look pretty cute, especially with her weird posture like that.

Svid did not react to Sam moving closer. He did not feel particularly stronger than Svid. So she was confident she'd handle any conflict that might arise between them. Her frolicking earlier might also play into it. She felt more playful than on guard. Finally Sam's ki was calm. It didn't seem like intended on anything but talking.
"Me Svid. Why rest? Play in snow fun." Svid looked down at the short man. With her regular posture she was usually looking up at people. Even with her considerable height. With him sitting down however, the difference in size was apparent. Though not as pronounced as it'd be were they both standing.
"Sam live here? Maybe Sam tired of snow." Without regard for common decency, Svid leaned toward Sam. Her nose twitched as she sampled his scent. "Sam smell like cold place. Not like jungle."

"It's nice to meet you Svid. Yeah, I live here." He points down at the town off in the distance. "I like coming out here to take a load off, the city is busy and all. Nahh, I'm not tired of the snow. I like it, or else I'd leave town. Heh, don't think I've played in the snow like what your saying since I was just a little kid." He wondered if Svid had rolled onto his bench while frolicking around the snow. She certainly sounded like she had been. "Do you like spending time up here then? Away from home?"

Svid followed Sam's finger, looking towards the city. The North Capitol had taken quite a beating from the Saiyan invasion. Svid however was completely oblivious to that. The reason for all the construction work was completely lost on her. For all she knew it was just a regular thing in cities. It certainly was different from the jungle at least.
"Svid like snow. But not want live in snow. Svid always away from home now. Svid travel. See world. More peaceful. Jungle more exciting. Sam travel too? Travel fun." Svid spoke as she took to playing a game with her tail. She caught snowflake after snowflake on the tip of her tail as they slowly fell down. She watched the stack grow every so slowly before licking it off and starting over.

"Huh, well I've never thought about it much. Traveling around always seemed like to much work for me anyhow. I could either go to some other city on the earth and be obligated to poke around all the landmarks. Or I could go to an alien planet where I don't think I could have much fun at all." Dispite what Sam said, it clearly looked like he was considering either taking a trip or moving around more. "I'd imagine living in a jungle would be more exciting. If only because instead of dealing with landords asking for rent you have to deal with panthers the size of houses wanting to sleep where your currently held up." He jokingly commented.

Svid had no idea what a landlord or rent was. But it sounded annoying.
She looked off into the distance. A faint sound had caught her attention. She leapt off the bench and crept forward to peer down the hill. On a nearby slope she could see people sliding down the snow. A contraption of some sorts helped them get back before they slid down again. The elongated planks on their feet making what she could best describe as a hissing sound. Svid knew what this was. Though she'd never gone skiing herself.
"Sam know ski? Svid never ski. Svid want to try." Svid's tail wagged back and forth in excitement. To be entirely fair they didn't seem to be going that fast downhill. At the most they went about as fast as she could run. But it was the novelty of the whole thing that intrigued her. If nothing else she wanted to be able to say she went skiing at least once.

"I've gone skiing before yeah. It's really good if you have steep hills like these ones." He'd stand up. Hand's in his jacket. "I'll show you how to if we can get our hands on a board, in fact. Wait here for a moment doll." He would walk on over to a tree, one absolutely covered and weighed down by a huge amount of snow. He'd raise his hand, and even from behind him Svid would be able to see a trail of energy leaking out of his eye and floating off like lazy plasma up into the air. He brought his hand down and a burst of what would appear to be incredible fire would cut the tree in half, causing it to fall over. Sam would hop up and give it a kick. Causing the entire top of it to be sheared off and go tumbling down the slope into a rock. The rest however would fall back, one side smoking. Sam reached down with a finger outstretched. Shooting a tiny, focused little beam of Ki into two small shapes. He'd move his hand fairly quickly on it's sides. But really would focus on getting the shape just right for the tips. He'd then reach down and pluck out the two well shaped boars. Walking back with the edges still steaming. "Here you go." He'd call out to her. Placing them next to each other by a small slope. "Come and stand on them missy. Give them a try."

Svid tore her gaze away from the spectacle of people sliding down inclines of snow to observe Sam's handiwork. He obviously was very adept at utilizing his Ki. And the strength he displayed was the least of what she'd expect given what she felt from his energy. She watched with great interest as he crafted a pair of makeshift skis and set them down before her.
Svid looked back and forth from the skis to Sam for a few moments. She poked the wooden boards. They'd already cooled down from contact with the snow. Where she knowledgeable on the art of skiing, she'd most likely note the safety issue in not having anything to strap her to them. Not that falling off skis could really do much damage to her.
Carefully Svid got onto the skis. She didn't stand on them as one might be expected to do; on two legs. Instead she got on all fours. With her naturally leaning forward like that, the skis quickly gained momentum.
Svid tensed up, her nails digging into the smooth wood as she rushed down the hill. She remained on the skis only thanks to the so far smooth slope. As soon as she hit a little bumb, the skis lifted off the ground ever so slightly. The disruption meant the loss of her grip on the planks of wood and subsequent tumble down the hill, coming to a halt as she smacked into a tree that had been ever so gracious as to place itself in her path. To top it off, a pile of snow fell from the branches as a result of Svid's crash, burying her by the tree. Only her tail stuck out. The skis came to their own halt not too far down.

Sam would also have noticed the fact that they were far from legitimate, safe skii's and that she was not wearing any sort of pads. But honestly when you train your body at a certain point that level of injury from the environment just becomes silly o think about. So he reacted fairly quickly once she started going down the hill. Jumping after her and focusing the Ki into his feet to lower friction. He melted the snow as he went along, but the result was him sliding down at a very controlable (if very slow by his standards) pace right after her. "Alright miss you got it, you got it... Ok now bring the ends together, oh cra-" He'd say as he noticed that she lost control. He sped himself up greatly to latch onto the first thing he could. Her tail. Not exactly worried about her getting killed so much as getting a nasty bruise if she fell off a cliff hidden around here and could not fly like him.
So he'd yank back on it, unintentionally netting himself some much greater speed as he suddenly wished that he had taken the time out of his life to figure out how to propel his body through the air. As he had no way of stopping himself from slamming into the tree. Still holding onto her before the snow could bury him. The two would go tumbleing down the long mountain. Picking up speed and snow as they went. Sam would have tried throwing a random blast of Ki t stop them. But he could hit a bystander, her, and he was currently trying to make sense of which way gravity was oriented as he quickly became extremely dizzy from the spinning.
