Gravity Chamber: x10
"Alright, assuming I've followed the directions properly..." said the Saiyan female to herself as she fiddled around with a few cables before a loud hum could be heard, the metal beneath her feet beginning to vibrate. "Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Oh yes!" crowed Brassica as she jumped up and down on the spot. "It's working, it is working! Ha ha! Yes! The engine is working! The ship is working!" she cried out in joy before blinking and proceeding to fly through the corridors towards one room in particular. "Which means~" she purred before she arrived and grinned at the sight of the awaiting sphere surrounded by concentric rings of metal. "The Gravity Chamber should be working as well." she smirked.
She floated up to its entrance hatch, and then proceeded to go inside of the device. It was a very basic design, with a single central pillar on which was installed the control mechanisms for the chamber's artificial gravity settings. Cautiously the Saiyan approached the panel, not entirely trusting her wiring of this rather intricate device. She wasn't exactly a scientist, and she'd cobbled this chamber as well as the entire ship from various parts and pieces from the wrecks of multiple ships, many of which weren't remotely the same at all. Sure the engine core of the ship was working right now... but what would occur if she were to try and turn on this next system?
Brassica took in a slow breath to calm her nerves. "You can do this... if you don't, then it'll take too long to become stronger, too long to get strong enough to ensure I can handle anything that comes my way." the Goddess reminded herself before she tapped the panel's screen. The device slowly lit up, the screen wavering somewhat but it was functioning. She then proceeded to tap away at the screen until the gravity settings came up into focus. "Alright, let's take this slow... Earth base setting?" she asked raising an eyebrow at the words on the screen. She scratched behind her ear before comprehension dawned on her, along with a smack to her forehead.
"Duh, the Gravity Chambers en mass use Earth's gravity field as a baseline for comparisons across the galaxy... so~" she said as she adjusted the digital dial on the device, the rings around the chambers exterior slowly humming into life, each one proceeding to begin rotating around the sphere in which she was encompassed. "Let's start it off at ten times Earth gravity then, which is around the same gravity field as Vegeta. My body should be able to handle Vegeta's gravity field for a while." said the Saiyan to herself before looking around, the shadows of the rings circling the gravity chamber vaguely visible.
Once the settings had been reached, she twisted her hand back and forth, frowning somewhat. "Doesn't feel any different." she muttered, tapping the screen a couple of times. "This thing even working right?" asked Brassica before sighing. "Guess I've got to work on it a little more." she said, turning around to start walking out the door... when she noticed something off. She raised an eyebrow before proceeding to walk once more. "Strange... I feel a little... slower?" pursed the Saiyan before she decided to test a theory by throwing a punch. It wasn't as fast as she had been used to. She then decided to try and fly, and found that she could except it was somewhat more of an effort to do so than at any other time in her life that she could recall.
Brassica's face began to break out into a massive grin. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! It's working! The Gravity Chamber is working~" she sing-songed, as she descended back to the floor and proceeded to run laps around the sphere. Each step of her feet felt heavier, each swing of her arms felt slower, even her tail was finding it slightly difficult to stay completely up as it was slowly drooping towards the floor. It at least explained why she was much faster than anything else on this world... the gravity here was on par with that of Earth's own gravity which is less than what her own biology was used to. Which she was now getting back to being used to.
The long haired Saiyan smirked. "At least after this session I'll be on par with my own people... assuming they haven't trained themselves under much higher gravity fields." she said, slowly picking up the pace as she continued her laps, throwing out a punch here and there with every other step she took. Slowly but surely her limbs began to get back to the speed with which she'd become accustomed to on this world. Even her tail was starting to rise up and sort itself out under the increased gravity field. And all the while there was the constant humming of the metallic bands spinning around at speed, generating the artificial gravity increase.
She then decided to work on her flying capabilities under this increased gravity. First she began to hover an inch from the ground before slowly starting to speed up and increase the distance between herself and the floor. As she increased in height she found it gradually becoming easier to stay aloft, and she flew through the air she began to feel the pressures on her body begin to gradually decrease. Soon she was flying around the gravity chamber at her top speeds, performing barrel rolls as well as several loops at random intervals, testing her body as she came up with sharp turns here and there, forcing herself to adjust to her original homeworlds own gravity.
Soon enough she descended and leaned against the central pillar, her chest rising and falling from the exertion of her exercises. She peered around to the panel, towards the chronometer to be precise that she'd adjusted for this world's day and night cycle. She'd spent the equivalant of one day inside this chamber, pushing her body to achieve what she could already on this world. Just to readjust herself to Vegeta, to be on the same level as a homeworld Saiyan... "Next time..." panted Brassica as she forced herself to her feet, "next time, I... try out... some moves as well..." she said, deactivating the artificial gravity chamber, the rings surrounding it slowing down till they came to a complete halt. She still had a civilisation to run after all... she couldn't spend all of her time in this device.
