The Saiyan Goddess paced outside the sealed chamber's stone doors, her arms folded across her chest and her tail twitching nervously. Koko had yet to recover from the poison she'd been touched by a while back, and her condition did not seem to be improving. Thankfully Brassica had set a precedent when she was younger for "deities" being susceptible to this worlds toxins.
Her main concern though was the fact that the Saiyan Elite, as she had so enjoyed reminding her of every so often, had yet to recover despite being given the remedies that usually worked... the same remedies that had worked on Brassica when she had been younger.
She pondered this situation carefully, sighing as she rubbed her forehead. "Maybe its because I was younger and my body was better able to adapt to this world?" the Saiyan female mused as she paced the hallway. Brassica briefly considered trying to immerse Koko into the rejuvenating waters that lay beneath her temple, but then considered against it.
Whilst yes they would in theory be able to heal the Saiyan Elite of her wounds and the toxin inside of her body, the trip down there... it could wind up killing her just to get down there, and then where would they stand? But she couldn't just stand around here, waiting and listening for Koko's death rattle... the problem with Simian medicine was that it was very crude and not yet completely understood. Sometimes the remedies worked, and other times they did not... the issue was that timing was a factor and key in all of this.
Brassica sighed as she rubbed her forehead once more. There had to be some way of getting the female fixed up... and soon. The sight of their Goddess in concern for one of her people was starting to affect the Simian populace. When a Goddess was worried, then the Simians were dreading for the future.
There was a third option that the Saiyan did not want to consider. Her pod that she'd arrived in had some basic healing technology stored inside, no doubt as a means of interstellar restoration until the occupant could reach a proper medical facility... the only problem being that with Koko's level of infection, she would need to seal the lid on the pod, which in turn would activate its damned recall program and send it shooting back to Vegeta.
Whilst she was certain that Vegeta would probably hold the means to restore Koko to full health, the issue lay in the fact that her pod would be returning to Vegeta, and she wasn't certain if Koko would remain silent about this budding civilisation that Brassica had been cultivating here the last two decades... assuming they didn't put two and two together when it was Brassica's pod that arrived and not Koko's.
She slumped against the wall putting her head between her knees as she groaned. The situation on her world had unravelled so much and this was just from the arrival of three newcomers. Rabiko she didn't know where she'd gotten off to, no doubt exploring the planet or something. Koko was lying in the chamber just beyond in bed suffering from Shuck poisoning, and as for the male Pippar... Brassica had lost track of him a while back. Hopefully he wasn't causing too many problems... then again, he was a male, on a planet covered in poisonous flora and fauna, with gargantuan humanoid beast people roaming its depths... she didn't hold out much hope for him.
Now however was not the time to be concerned over a random male she barely knew about... and besides, the next full moon wasn't for a good while yet so he couldn't cause any damage as the Saiyan Great Ape form anyway. A light cough interrupted her thoughts, causing the Saiyan woman to look to its source, blinking and swiftly getting to her feet. "Father! I-I didn't hear you approaching." she said quickly towards the old Simian who waved her words aside. "It's quite alright Goddess. It is only natural that you should be concerned for your fellow deity." he said, Brassica sighing and nodding at his words.
"I'm sensing a but coming up here." she said, the old Simian chuckling a little. "But," he said, trying not to show too much of a smirk at her smug expression for being proved right, "you cannot allow yourself to wallow in your concern. If the medicines are not working, then she should be taken down to the healing pits below the Temple." he suggested, although coming from him it almost sounded like less of a suggestion and more like an order. No other being on this world would dare try to take such a tone with their Goddess... well, maybe her adopted sister, but only because she had grown up with her since they were young, and was her personal guard so certain liberties were permitted. As her aches and bruises from their training sessions could attest to.
Brassica sighed and slumped down once more against the wall, her "father" leaning on his staff as he waited for her response. "That's just it... I don't know if she'd survive the trip down there though..." the Saiyan female admitted. She looked towards the sealed door. "In her condition..." she said before settling into another sigh. "And yet, the attempt must be made... for all our sakes. Our medicines can only delay the toxins spreading through her body at this point..." informed the older Simian, the Goddess letting out a breath of resignation before slowly nodding. "Alright then... let's do it. Also, you are a manipulative bastard you know that right?" Brassica asked of her "Father" who pulled off as innocent a face as he could. "Me? Manipulative? Why Goddess, I'm aghast you would even consider such a thing of me." he replied his face so stoically innocent that Brassica couldn't help but smirk and chuckle.
She looked back at the chamber door before slowly nodding. "Alright then. Let me get her ready and then we'll get her down there." she said, the old Simian nodding and stepping aside as Brassica went to the doors and forced them open. She made her way towards the prone figure on the primitive bed, her skin wet with sweat, her body fluctuating between hot and cold. The Saiyan Goddess leaned over her before speaking. "We're going to take you somewhere to get you better. You have to hold on to life for as long as you can... the trip will not be an easy one." she told her, hoping that within the fever she could hear her words. Brassica looked back to the door where a pair of guards were waiting. She nodded at them and they immediately set to work placing Koko onto a stretcher of sorts.
Now came the hard part.
