Did Raisu like fighting? Perhaps just a little. Or a lot. Yes, most definitely a lot. The Saiyan blood in him made sure of that much. Fighting was very much something he enjoyed. He had since he was a child. That had caused him trouble, but it led to the good things in his life. But he still had to answer the man's question.
"Yeah, I guess you could say I like to fight. I take it you do too?" He asked the man. He had a large ki signature. Surely, he at least liked to fight, or could handle himself. What was the man getting at, though? Did he want to fight? It wouldn't necessarily be fair, but it might be fun if they did.

Was it accurate that Goizen liked fighting? Absolutely. Fighting was one of his hobbies, passions, even if he wasn't really a traditionalist among the Saiyans, that very same blood of such species was flowing into his entire body like into a river. To him, fighting was not just a hobby, but a passion that stimulated his body and mind and he would have never declined a good fight even if he was weaker than his opponent.
Having a fight against stronger opponents was exciting to him, even if it was to the last breath. "Of course, we have much more things in common than you imagine." - he said in affirmation, realizing that actually Raisu didn't know that he was a Saiyan. After all, he introduced himself as Goizen and not with his real name- that is Cornatto. "I'd be up for a fight, though if you would prefer something else.. that's fine."

Raisu raised an eyebrow? What else could they have in common? There was not much else there could be, at least based on what they knew about each other. They had just met, after all. It struck Raisu as odd, but he didn't pursue. People said cryptic things all the time. It was just the way that they were. Raisu tried not to put much stock into these sort of things.
But then Goizen offered to fight him. Now this is something he could put stock into. Raisu enjoyed a good fight. Very rarely could he turn one down. But would this even be worth his time? Goizen's power was downright small compared to his own. Of course, he could be hiding his true power. People did that, as Raisu had learned. And if he wasn't, it would still make for good practice. Always good to catch up on the basics every now and again. Raisu would just have to watch his strength. He didn't want to hurt Goizen. That was a bad first impression to make.
"You know what? I'll take you up on that offer. How do you want to do this? Hit me with your best shot!" Raisu said, excitement building in his voice. He was raring to go already. A fight was a fight, regardless of the opponent.

Goizen didn't know how strong Raisu could truly be, he didn't know how to sense someone's Ki energy. Though, the Saiyan didn't understimate Raisu, he knew that everyone could hide an immense power within them. Goizen noticed that Raisu didn't seem to mind a fight, pretty much like the Saiyan even if he was really excited about it. Goizen knew that Raisu could have been a tough opponent, he was not a Human but a Half-Saiyan after all.
"How? I don't know about you, but I'll use all of my power!" - he said, a grin forming on his face before levitating off the ground and charging against Raisu. His left leg was bent forward while the other leg was extended backwards, his right arm seemed to cover his eyes as it was placed towards them while the other one was bent backwards, his fist seemed to be aiming towards Raisu. It looked like as if he was about to hit him with his left fist but- in the process he quickly inclined his right arm and lowered it. Now his right fist was aiming to his stomach, the Saiyan extending his fist towards Raisu's abdomen as he attempted to hit him.

Apparently, the man would use all his power. Good, thought Raisu. He could do with a nice fight. He half-expected the man to reveal some hidden power as the man charged him. But no, his ki signature remained the same. But Raisu had to give him credit. He moved quickly. It looked like he was coming in for a kick. Raisu readied himself to parry, expecting the blow at any moment. But something was off. He changed at the last moment. Instead of a kick, the man was coming in with a punch now. Raisu raised an eyebrow in surprise as the fist collided with his stomach. It hurt, just a bit. Enough to make Raisu shudder and air come from his lungs. But not enough to debilitate him.
"Not bad. Wasn't expecting that one," said Raisu. The man was close now. How to counter with his own attack? He had a variety of options: kicks, punches, tackles, and the like. But no, he had a better idea. Will, it was possibly a worse idea. Quick as lightning, he brought his own head back and slammed it forward, trying to butt heads with the other Saiyan. Sure, it would probably hurt him as well, but he'd come to be found of the attack. He'd best restrain his blow, just a little. He didn't want to cause serious harm now, did he? That was assuming he even connected in the first place.

Goizen was proud of his achievement, being able to hit him so soon- still Raisu didn't seem to be in pain and the Saiyan took note of it even if he didn't give the matter any importance. Though, in that moment he realized that Raisu was close enough to counter-attack, what could he do? The Saiyan couldn't tell, Raisu could have done anything and Goizen didn't know what to expect. But, what he was about to do.. he would have never expected.
Goizen couldn't even realize what was happening but the Hybrid was already in front of him about to butt heads with him, such obviously resulted in hurting both of them. On Goizen's face, a painful expression could be seen, the Saiyan retreating quickly shortly after while he held both hands on his forehead while mourning in excruciating pain. "Ay-ay-ay! Damn.." - looked at Raisu for a moment before bursting out in a laugh. While it was painful, the Saiyan thought it was quite an hilarious way the Hybrid found to attack him. "I didn't see that coming.. really." - he said before extending a palm towards him. The Saiyan was focusing a good amount of energy into his hand, his palm suddenly glowing like a bulb. "Kyūtsuyo!" - he shouted out, shooting a blue Ki wave against Raisu.

Raisu's mind scrambled as the two heads collided. Why was that his go to? It never really worked for him, but damn if it wasn't an entertaining thought. He came reeling away from the blow, his vision almost double. Hell, he thought, I should start wearing a helmet. With how often he headbutted these days, it might just be worth it. But Goizen had backed off and was now reeling from the blow. Good, thought Raisu, just what he'd been hoping for.
The Saiyan spoke some before extending a hand in front of him. What was this? A ki attack? Raisu could feel a small burst of power building up in the man, even his palm beginning to glow brightly.
"Interesting," said Raisu aloud. And then a blue wave of power came shooting towards him. Not particularly strong, but it would still sting if he got hit. No, he thought, better if he avoided it. And besides, he couldn't make it too easy for the man. Raisu braced himself, letting the energy fill his body. And, with a burst of speed, he dashed to the side, leaving behind an image of himself.
As it rushed by him, Raisu grinned.
"Whew, you're throwing pepper, aren't you?"

The Saiyan expected to hit his opponent without too much of an effort, but his expectations were too high because he didn't really know anything about Raisu's power. Goizen was an insect compared to Raisu while he thought they were equal but the truth was that there was a great difference between the two, from top to bottom.
The Saiyan thought he had hit him successfully, but his Ki wave went through what was only an after-image. Goizen noticed it shortly after, when it was about to fade away. What?! How is this possible? - he thought before taking note of Raisu actually being to the side. He was clueless about what just happened, but also amazed by his apparent speed and agility. He was definitely sure that he never saw such a technique. "Heh.. Nice, nicely done.. But I won't give up just yet." - he said before drawing back his hand and crossing his arms. The Saiyan was swinging a finger towards himself to Raisu in a gesture to tell him to attack, a grin forming on his face, he was definitely taunting him. He looked to be overconfident but he knew that he should have been careful.

Apparently, Goizen wasn’t giving up just yet. Good. That meant he had spirit. Spirit could take you a long way in battle, even against an opponent who was stronger. Raisu had learned that the hard way. One could say that Raisu came from the fighting school of hard knocks. Sure, he’d learned how to fight in a proper dojo, but the majority of his combat experience was hard won with blood and sweat. And that was the way it should be. Two people going at each other like animals. Raisu’s entire body shook, His Saiyan blood was waking up. He could barely contain himself. But he’d best keep a lid on it. He didn’t want to hurt Goizen.
But Hell, Goizen even taunted him. He wanted Raisu to come at him. Maybe he’d give him a taste of his full power. Just a little smack to rough him up. Raisu dashed at Goizen, hands behind him. As he closed the distance, Raisu brought up his fist, intending to slam it into Goizen’s shoulder.
“Alright then, let’s see how you handle this!”
He was losing control now. If he hurt him, Raisu would have to feel guilty later. An apology might be in short order.

Goizen wasn't the typical Saiyan at all, but the blood of the mighty Saiyan race was running into his veins and it has been burning more than ever in such a fight against another powerful warrior. The Saiyan couldn't exactly tell his real strength but he noticed that the Hybrid was nimble and tough. He was really excited but he didn't want to seem weaker than him, he was resolute to fight while using his full power to satisfy his thirst for combat.
Just as he expected, Raisu didn't hesitate to charge against him after his taunt and Goizen was ready to counter-attack as soon as he would have tried to hit him. But, he couldn't know what power he was hiding into his fist, his initial grin replaced by a painful expression, he never felt such a great pain caused by a simple hit to the shoulder. He seemed speechless since the pain was incredibly strong, but his instinct didn't betray him.
As quick as possible, he raised a hand in front of him and let out a sudden impulse of energy through his palm with the purpose to knock away his opponent. A light could be seen glowing briefly on his palm, before spreading into a huge- but weak blast. "Heh.. You're stronger than I thought, I admit that." - he said while holding his shoulder with his hand.

Raisu’s blow connected with the man’s shoulder. Raisu grinned. It felt good to hit somebody after holding back so long. But there was no joy in it. It wasn’t a fair fight. Sure, it made for good exercise, but there was no challenge in it, no excitement. At the most, he could say he was helping someone else get along in their own training. Which was nice. Raisu wished he could have had someone like that back when he was beginning. At least someone whose intent wasn’t to kill him.
But Raisu did admire the man’s fighting spirit. He kept going, despite the attack. In fact, he immediately lifted his hand to give Raisu a taste of his own medicine. Raisu flinched as the ki wave washed over him, pushing him back a few inches. Not bad, thought Raisu. But he’d give the man one of his own. He’d just have to be careful about this. Reaching into his mind, he limited his own ki.

Raisu quickly raised a hand, white light crackling in his palm. He froze there for a moment, before immediately letting the beam fly. That was the Starlight Beam, the main move in his arsenal. And it was just a small one. He knew his strength and how to limit it.

The Saiyan felt a great deal of pain into his shoulder, but the Saiyan was still excited, such a fight was amazing and his blood was boiling fiercely. The pleasure of fighting was indescribable and it was what urged him to not give up, that he would have won or not. Obviously winning would have been pleasing but what he cared about was having a good fight. He felt as happy as a child and resolute like a bull, his body was still capable to keep up with the Hybrid. The Saiyan was still standing like a rock, before retreating slightly to make up a certain distance between them and offering a smirk while he catched his breath.
Goizen didn't really notice any difference within him, nor sensed any. But he knew Raisu was up to something as soon as he raised his hand, before realizing that he was about to use a technique. It didn't seem to be so strong so he decided to counter-attack with another beam, raising a hand while focusing more energy into his palm before shooting another blue wave towards Raisu's Starlight Beam. However, when both waves made contact, Raisu's easily overpowered the Saiyan's technique with ease. The energy dissipating shortly after.
"W-what?!" - he exclaims incredulous, clenching both his fists before placing both arms crossed in front of himself, attempting to block his attack. Though, the beam hit the Saiyan like a thunder, it was more powerful than what it looked like. Goizen was still standing there, Raisu could not hear but he was grumbling. His arms were painful- he felt a massive burn, they were definitely burned. Shortly after, the Saiyan fell on one knee. Taking deep breaths while his hands were resting on the ground.

Raisu's own beam overpowered the man's own. He’d expected as much. The man might be brave, but he just couldn’t compete. A shame, really. The man had potential. There was talent there, he just lacked the raw power behind it. At least at the moment. Raisu would like to fight the man again when they were on equal footing. Yes, then that would be a good fight.
Raisu watched as his own beam crashed into the other man. That would sting. Burn, too. Ki attack had a way of hurting more than punches and kicks, Raisu had found. He remembered the first time someone had shot him with ki with the intent to harm. That had been Breech and his fancy laser eyes. It had hurt, a lot, but it didn’t kill him. Hell, his eye beams had even overpowered Raisu’s own Starlight Beam. Raisu smirked. He’d like to see the android try it now.
Goizen took a knee after the attack. Was it over? Did Raisu hit him too hard? Damn, he thought to himself. Raisu stepped closer to the man, dropping any pretense of a combat stance. He stood in front of the man, looking down at him. And a moment later, Raisu extended his hand to the man.
“Want to call that a match?”

The Saiyan didn't expect such a thing, he had realized the Hybrid was powerful but not that strong and probably he didn't really see what Raisu was truly capable of. He was not afraid at all, he had no reason to be intimidated by his power, actually he was willing to continue the fight but he understood that it wouldn't have been fun, perhaps to the Saiyan but not to Raisu. How could a younger man be stronger than him? And Goizen was a pure-blooded Saiyan or were Hybrids more powerful than he thought? He had no answer but such questions made him realize that he should train harder in the future than ever until he would have become as strong as him, or even stronger but he couldn't really tell what was the Hybrid's true power, but it didn't matter.
He didn't feel ashamed, oddly enough he was still excited. It had been a long time since he had a decent fight, even if he ended up getting injured. His last time, he had met with an assassin named Drake, a Human but still quite powerful. The Human didn't appreciate the Saiyan's manners and almost killed him, that experience left him a bad impression on Earthlings- after all at the end of it he was quite a mess, literally spitting blood as soon as he tried to speak. He couldn't really remember what happened after that, but not long after that conflict, he was patched up and ready to continue his training.
Goizen peered up, looking at the Hybrid curiously. "What are you doing?.." - staring at him with a blank expression on his face as soon as he asked, he was not used to such manners. After spars, he was usually told to get up and leave the room without any assistance from his own parents. They never offered him a hand to help him stand up, training with them was tough.
He didn't know why but he accepted it, pulling himself on it in order to stand up. He felt that he should have accepted it, he didn't really attempt to find a reason to such reaction. "Well, looks like you won this one.." - he told him, looking around briefly as he walked in his surroundings while stretching his arms. Shortly after, he turned and raised a hand, pointing a finger towards him. "But remember that we will meet again and next time I'll be stronger than ever!" - offering a smirk to the Hybrid, Goizen had another purpose into his life. His goal was to kill any Saiyan in his way, but he never had such a chance. But why? He hadn't met any Saiyan traditionalist but what would he have done? Those were questions for another time though. Now, he was resolute to become stronger- not only to fight the Saiyans, but also to have another exciting fight against Raisu once again.

Goizen accepted Raisu’s hand and used it to pull himself back up. Good, thought Raisu. Raisu felt rather responsible for the man’s pain, so he was glad the man accepted his help. It was partially about respect, too. Raisu did respect the man. He’d fought a much stronger opponent without balking. Raisu could respect that in a person. Many people would have shied away from such a challenge, but Goizen rose to the occasion. Of course, such an idea might get him killed someday, but for now it was an admirable quality. One that Raisu and him shared. How many times had Raisu flown in the face of stronger foes? Plenty of times.
Raisu had indeed one this one. There was never any chance of him not winning. The difference in power was just too great. But it was still an interesting fight. And what was even more interesting is that the man said they would meet again and that he would be stronger than ever before. Raisu grinned at this and nodded.
“Good, but remember I’m going to keep getting stronger, too.”
Raisu patted the man on the shoulder and backed away.
“You take care of yourself. It’s a rough world out there. I’ll see you later.”
And with that, Raisu turned and took off, flying away and leaving Goizen behind. They would meet again. But what would the circumstances be?
