"Let's try not to die."
That was the best advice Val had for the few fighters he had dredged up in North City. He was literally ten times stronger then any of them. And he knew damn well that the Queen of Saiyans was....well, a boulder and he was an ant. At this point. He could only hope the stronger Z-Fighters could push the Saiyans off his new home world. He already promised himself he'd grow strong enough to strike back. One day. But it wouldn't be any day soon. So for now he settled for keeping the people safe. Directing the mass of people to evacuate the city. Dispersing them across the continent into the smaller towns and villages hidden up in the mountain ranges. It was only a temporary fix at best, but it was the best one available until the Z fighters showed up.
The cigar smoldered in clenched lips, pressed thin in anxiety over the coming days. Worst comes to worst I'm taking Serena and stealing one of their Space Pods. He thought, knowing it was a vain hope at best. He looked down at his hands of flesh and metal, tensing them into fists as he puffed the tobacco. Willing it to stop his racing heart at least some small way. Having a back up plan didn't sit well with him, even half a decade after his...'readjustment' to a more moral standing, he still had the same hot Saiyan blood pumping through his body. Willing him to go and challenge anyone, since he was the greatest. But every other part of his mind told that ego to shut up and sit down. It'd only get him killed here, and the pitiful amount of soldiers he had under his command were.....lacking. In power level, and the actual soldier part. What I wouldn't give for some Saibamen right now. He complained. Arms crossing as he watched the skyline. Letting another heavy puff of smoke escape from the corner of his mouth. A few of the police officers had teased him about that, it was obvious when the old soldier was unhappy or stressing about the situation, or mentally playing scenarios in his minds eye. "I've seen you stop a bullet before Val, you really think the Army doesn't stand a chance?" a uniformed grunt asked, to which Val did little but grunt.
"The Army is going to distract them for five minutes, then we're all going to die."
"Jeez, I guess you woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
"I didn't go to sleep last night. I was flying a truck to the islands."

A few hours ago, Aiami had been flying high in the sky, eyes cast down to keep any eye out for a city. Only a few days before she had departed her village, moving out into the real world. Somewhere along the way she had gotten lost, because she had to spend a day in the wilderness. However, that was probably for the best. The entire day she had been sensing incredible power levels, some she didn't even think were possible. Originally, she would have sped toward them, a desire to see the people who have such power. However, during her meditations, she got the sense that some of these powers were fighting each other, and despite her inexperience she was certain it wasn't friendly sparring. She set out the next day, staying to one course, assuming that she would reach a city sooner or later.
Unfortunately for her, Aiami had been right. She remembered seeing the smoke in the distance, and then the city came into view as she lowered her altitude. Where the impressive city buildings she had only heard about, was rubble. She didn't know what was going on, but she immediately lowered further. She didn't need her eyes to know that some of those power levels she had been sensing were somewhere in the city, and that was worrisome, as that likely meant whoever they were, this destruction was on their hands.
Now, Aiami was moving on foot, and had been for some time. She wasn't really sure what she was doing. She knew she didn't stand a chance against any of the powers in the city, but she felt she had to help, in some way. To her, that meant looking for survivors, and trying to keep them safe. To her dismay, she hadn't had much luck besides a mother and her young daughter. They were trapped in a room, inside the remains of a residential building. Aiami had managed to clear a path for them, and after assuring them she wasn't a Saiyan, she had been travelling with them ever since.
The Saiyans caused this? Why? Is Earth at war? I should have heard something about this back home... That thought caused a pang of worry to spark in her chest. Aiami was certain they were okay, she didn't feel any of the power levels in the direction of her home, not that she really remembered where that was. I shouldn't have left. I should have tried to find my way back. She berated herself.
Though her misgivings were cut short when she saw movement ahead, through a broken down alleyway. Aiami quickly pulled her two companions aside, but it was then she realized that she wasn't seeing any sort of army. As she approached cautiously she realized that these broken down people were a mass exodus. Which she knew meant organization. After saying her goodbyes to the two she rescued, instructing them to join those evacuating the city, she disappeared into the crowd, looking for someone who could tell her more about what was going on.
Aiami didn't have much luck pushing through the crowd, but thankfully she had more than her eyes to rely on. There was a power level ahead, dwarfed by the ones that were a constant further into the city, but still much stronger than she. As she approached she kept her eyes out, the red-orange glow of a cigar drawing her attention. The man who was smoking it wasn't moving with the crowd, and it seemed like he was the man giving off that power level.
After pushing out of the crowd Aiami moved toward the man, greeting him with a bow of her head. "Excuse me, I don't really know what's going on, but I'd like to help in whatever way I can, and you look like the man to talk to."

The scarred soldier looked down at the new arrival. He himself lacking the ability to sense Ki, he'd just never had to time to learn that ability. Still, the young lass looked capable enough. And he was never one to deny somebody the chance to help. "Arlic Valliere." He tipped his ragged hat. A nod that conveyed respect, but no submission. "Folks round here call me Val, or Captain." He broke off mid sentence, directing a gaggle of people from blocking the side roads. Every motion crisp and with no wasted energy. "Must be from the smaller villages if ye don't know the events."
He made a motion, setting the new pair aside so they could talk in some semblance of peace. "The Saiyan Empire, and their dayumned Queen, are here. Wanna fight the strongest Earth has to offer, and I reckon it ain't me. Still, I've got the highest Power Level in these parts. Might as well try and help folk out. Do odd jobs for the Cops, got me an official rank and errything." His odd accent drawled, even as he scratched at his beard. It was getting ragged from lack of trimming the past weeks. "Best bet? They skip over the North. Not a lot of people here. Not many fighters worth a scratch. But I know Saiyans well enough."
The fuzzy belt of his twitched ever so slightly. His tail having a mind of its own.
"They might stop by for the sole purpose of sheddin' some blood. Could buy the folks some time to scatter if I gotta." He flashed a weary smile down at the girl. "But I'd rather it doesn't come to that."

"Aiami Lin." She replied to the introduction. "Yes, it's pretty small, but even we should have known about... well, this sort of thing. I left awhile ago, though, and I've been lost since then." She moved to follow the man as he moved away from the sea of people, which she was thankful for. The air was filled with many emotions, none of them good. She could feel their panicky despair, but perhaps even worse was the feeling that some had already given up, and the only reason they were moving and heading in the direction they were, was because everyone else was. It wasn't hopeful to see.
She listened to him speak, absorbing the words slowly. It took her a moment or two to finally formulate a response, the information a lot to take in. "I hope your wager proves true, because I don't think either of us stand much chance against some of these powers I've been sensing, and if what you say is true about there not being many strong Earthlings here, then I'm afraid they're all Saiyan. So, I really hope it doesn't come down to having to buy time, as you say." She flashed a weak smile, the rest of her face making it clear she wasn't experiencing any joy. "I don't think we would be able to buy more than a few seconds."
"Still, there has to be something more we can do besides directing the evacuation. I found other survivors out there, trapped beneath the collapsed buildings. We're some of the few people who can help them. Don't you think we should, Arlic?"

A soft laugh came from behind the cigar, and the man unwound his tail. Using it to flick under the human girls nose. "Just cause their Saiyan ain't why their bad Miss Lin. Some of us got a good sense knocked into us." He flexed his shoulders, rolling his arms in soft circles of motion. The pop and groan of muscle audible as he set himself up. "I'm sure the police can handle the crowds. Lets flex the old steel."
He started off for the closest one, turning his face to regard her. "And please, my friends call me Val. Anyone whose riskin' themselves to help the normal folk out is fine by me."
Broad arms set under a beam. Muscles tensing before he hefted the large metal bolt over his head; getting a good grip before tossing it aside. Starting his way through the building. Smoldering tobacco stick still latched between his lips as he yelled. "Oi! Anyone home? Sorry about the door, but better call a carpenter then a gravedigger aye?"

"I know, I just-..!" Aiami started, before flushing. "I didn't mean to imply all Saiyans are bad, I know some live on Earth, and I know a lot of them probably call this planet home. I just hope they can do something against this invasion.." She said, feeling a little more distinctly helpless than she had before. Perhaps it was the crowd, or her small faux pas, but she was starting to curse her own weakness more and more.
"Then please call me Aiami, Val. I am still quite young by most standards, and I would prefer to keep feeling that way." She joked, a way to take her mind off the situation. She followed Val further into the structure, chuckling some at his own humorous greeting. The building was mostly abandoned, as expected, but every once in awhile they would move aside some crumbled, rebar infused rubble to reveal a tired, dirty, and scared person. They all reacted rather well when they didn't see an armored Saiyan knocking, and filtered out to join the evacuation effort.
"Last room over here is cleared!" She called out down the hall after lifting some heavy stone aside, thankfully finding an empty room. She moved to join up with Val after she was certain there was no one left. "I think that's all for this building." She seemed to hesitate. "Do you.. think we should try to check some of the buildings further into the city center? It's a risk, but if anyone's there, they probably need our help the most."

[Thread PL: 16,204]
The harsh winds of the northern hemisphere were quite punishing for the average person; luckily for Breech however, he wasn't even close to average. His entire body, save for his brain, was 100% mechanical, meaning the cold proved to be a non-factor. It wasn't exactly snowing, but most of the area was covered in a sheet of ice. The ground shined brightly in the mid-morning sun, giving the illusion that the concrete was a mirror-like substance.
The Mechanized Doctor flew above the skyline of North Captiol, his permanently scowling face scanning the city below, watching the bedlam taking place. "So, the Saiyan race decided to take action eh? How good for them... Perhaps I can use this chaos as a distraction to conduct more research."
It seemed that the Saiyan army and the Defenders of Earth were mostly situated in the heart of the city; to avoid any conflict with the Queen or her elite forces, Breech decided to keep to the city limits and further beyond, hoping to find a few stragglers to test a few new upgrades on.
His built-in scouter began to beep, picking up two abnormal Power Levels that were immensely far from the rest of the commotion. A small malicious chuckle escaped his lips as he picked up speed, his aura-less flight helping to conceal him further.
It seemed the two Power Levels he picked up on were seemingly fighters, as one would expect. An aged man with what seemed like Sheriff's attire and a younger woman wearing a Gi had just exited a crumpled building. Breech slowly descended from his aerial vantage point, landing opposite the duo. His feet tapped lightly onto the icy slick ground as he spoke in a cold, emotionless tone.
"Helping with evacuation efforts are you? Well then, maybe you have time to assist me with something..."

His cigar now a stub after all the work but still unrelenting in his smoking habits, the grizzled man turned with a wary stance. Tossing aside the half wall of bricks he'd been supporting. The shatter and upkick of dust blowing in the wind, in time with his duster. "Captain Valliere, at yer service." He dipped his hat, every sign of respect, with none of submission. "If yer hurt, the medical tent be down the road, on the outskirts of town."
The Feeling kicked in. A grown ability, if you could call it that, every solider earned after living so long on the battlefield. Like swimming, and having something brush against your leg. Val had no clue what the danger was, or even if it ment him harm; but something was in the water. And he didn't like that feeling one bit.
Inhaling, arms flexed before he let his power flow out. Aura flaring to life around his towering form. A puffer fish tactic, to be sure, but one that'd served him well before. He swept an arm to his younger companion. "This is Miss Lin. She's been helpin' me save some folk around 'ere. Now what can we do for ya mate?"

Aiami regarded the new arrival with curiosity, as she wasn't able to get a read on his power with her senses. The man had the ability to fly, so he clearly had some level of inner power, or that wouldn't be possible. I do remember that Su mentioned the ability to control your power such that one can force it lower, if they desired. I never really understood why anyone would, though. And I never thought to ask her, either... I really wish she was here right now.
The curiosity turned to a welcoming attitude, after all, her parents had taught her to always be willing to help a stranger. Right thing to do, and all that. She remembered groaning at it growing up, but if the past hour was any example, helping the people trapped in the buildings was rewarding in it's own way.
The young woman was about to greet the elderly man, but just as she opened her mouth to speak, she could feel Val's energy spike. Aiami's eyes shifted towards him in time to see his aura flare to life. She looked taken aback briefly, a little shocked by the display. She recovered quickly enough, however, to look back to the stranger and bow her head and offer a smile. "Yes, Aiami Lin, we've been doing what we can."
After the greeting she fell silent, letting Val's question be answered. Aiami looked between the two, eyes settling on Val. She wasn't sure why he was unleashing his power all of a sudden, but it unnerved her ever so slightly.

It seemed the Sheriff, who Breech now knew was named Alric, was aware something wasn't quite right. He flared his energy around him, showing off his power quite dramatically. Breech's normally scowling face couldn't help but smirk. "Hmm... An intimidation tactic perhaps? Sadly for him it will prove to have the opposite of the desired effect," Breech thought to himself.
He placed his hands behind his back, introducing himself to the duo just as they had to him. "The name is Breech; Doctor Breech Aris. It is certainly a pleasure to make your acquaintance." While it was clear that Alric was the stronger of the two, Aiami was still a bother. Her power was abnormally high for a human, meaning she must have formal training in the art of combat. Hopefully he'd be able to collect proper data from this coming bout; assuming the duo would stay conscious long enough of course.
"You see, I have been looking for some way to test my newest upgrades, but with the recent Saiyan invasion I am hard-pressed to find anyone willing to assist me." His sky-blue eyes began giving off quick flashes of crimson, indicating his built-in scouter was scanning the duo once more. "However, it seems the two of you are the perfect test subjects... Let's begin shall we?"
In the blink of an eye, Breech had shot forwards like a bullet. He aimed his hat-wearing cranium for Aiami's gut, intending on ramming into her and sending her into a building! If it succeeded, he'd spin his body around in mid-air, aiming to smack Arlic in the face with a mighty foot.

The Saiyan had powered up for a good reason, his troubling nerves granting him a moment to recover from shock. Damn, that old guy could move!
Arms crossed over his face; muscles flexing from instinct to cushion the worst of the blow on soft flesh rather then get his bones numbed from the impact. Boots skidded in the dirt, sending up rifts of dust. Even with the quick move, he still had felt tremors up his limbs. Lucky they weren't broken. Shoulders rolled, loosening joints before setting into his combat stance. Knees spread, shoulders squared but spine lose. Muscles relaxed, but ready to spring like a wound coil. There was no 'School' learning behind it, merely experience from a life on the battlefield.
"Hit's like Serena does." Val scowled, crossing his legs slowly one over the other. Keeping his target in sight. The moment to attack was clear to him, and he dashed forward. Considerable bulk lending momentum as he threw himself sideways right before the moment of impact. Rolling across the broken street parallel to the Doctor, landing on all fours; the next burst of flight intending to body slam the new foe as hard as he could after the feint.
//Fine by me.

Aiami thought she was fast, but the older man had her beat and then some! She was mid-way through digesting Dr. Breech's words when she was struck wholly in the stomach and sent flying, air and senses knocked out of her. The young woman crashed into the wall before she was able to register what exactly was going on, she was fighting! Not sparring, not training, but actually fighting! She had never truly considered the possibility of using her abilities in combat, to defend herself against sudden attackers. It was always her favorite past time, a way to push herself, to play her games like with Aka and Ao.
But now here she was, smashed into a wall, put there by an old man with 'upgrades.' Aiami was thankful for all of her training then, a lesser human would have been knocked out... or worse. And yet, for all of that training, she still couldn't sense the 'good' doctor's power. Even if he had been suppressing his energy, that burst should have registered something. Was he so fast and so in control that he could immediately spike his power and suppress it right after?
That had to be the case, Aiami assumed. I can't hold anything back against him. She quickly pushed herself out of the wall, shaking what she could of the impressive blow off. It felt like she was about to puke, but she pushed past it and spread her arms out to her side, gathering her ki. She could see Val was already fighting back, and was at least glad her senses were right about him. He could hold his own, buying her the little bit of time needed to charge her attack.
In seconds it was ready, and Aiami's palms glowed with yellow energy. She brought the outstretched arms to face her front, outstretched thumbs almost touching. She saw Val moving to slam the man, and aimed her attack such that it would hit Breech if he had stumbled from her friend's attack. It was a risk to assume it would, but she didn't want to hit Val with the attack, either.
"Val, watch out!" Was Aiami's only warning before the energy coalesced into an orb, and then a beam shot out from her palms, aimed for where Breech should be... if he was pushed back any by Val's simultaneous body slam.

Post by Contagion on Sept 15, 2015 8:11:56 GMT
The sickening sounds of the tearing of flesh and the gnashing of bone filled the air of the Gizard Wastes. Not too far from where the village was currently being evacuated, an alabaster abomination of a very 'mixed' heritage happily sat, slathered in crimson with the limb of some poor soul that crossed his path... In fact, the flesh and bone that was currently being ripped asunder probably came from that very village, though the creature had no way of knowing that... It typically didn't bother talking with it's prey. They only existed to feed it after all. They were just part of a glorious bounty that the world provided, especially for him. "W-What are you?!" A voice weakly coughed towards the monstrous entity of demonic and human creation. The strange vaguely Zoanthrope creature would cast his void-like gaze aside to the male human who was currently suffering from a gaping stab wound but he didn't dignify it with a response... Prey was prey and all that, they had no need talking. "A-Are you...Something created by the saiyans?! Oh god!" The man cried out in horror as he struggled to stay conscious. Now that was interesting. "Saiyans? What of...The saiyans?" The man flinched as the creatures voice assaulted his mind in a telepathic pulse. He shuddered, the rasp of the biological amalgam ringing through his head as he tried to gather his thoughts. "T-The saiyan invasion! That's why...Me...Me and my family were out here! We were evacuating the village before...YOU came!" Oh, right, the humans traveled in packs with their young till they were grown. He supposed that was why the female was so desperate to protect the little girl they were traveling with... It was sweet in a way... Almost as sweet as the tender youth's flesh. "Y-you're not part of it?!" The man cried out "W-Why...Why did you do this?! YOU MONSTER!" He wailed out as he began to sob. The man suddenly let out a scream as a white tendril wrapped around his neck and lifted him up. The being slowly stood up, his back turned to him. "I am not part... Of this invasion... I am the future the next step in evolution, the one that will bring beauty to the world. I am also the Contagion that will end this festering growth that you and your vermin call 'society.' Be it man, beast, majin, or saiyan it doesn't matter... None will be able to stand in my way... Trust me, I'd adore for them to try though...Because... At the end of the day...I just want to set the world on fire." Contagion spoke punctuating his mad rant with a squeeze of his tendril, snapping the man's neck instantly... He dropped the fresh corpse to the snow and turned away from it. The sound of his grubbing and crying killed the beasts apeittite. Contagion's dark gaze looked off to the horizon as a more pressing thought crossed his mind... The saiyans had come to invade. Surely something of their strength had worthy prey. Surely something that would strengthen him more than this rot. He mentioned a village didn't he?
... As the chaotic battle ensued a shadow would linger in the distance... It stalked outside the fighter's line of sight and watched the fight for a few moments with curiosity... The people there... They weren't the invaders, but... Why were they fighting? What was even more curious to the shadow was the old man... It pondered over where the face had been seen prior... The shadow pondered and pondered some more over the curiosity before it... That was of course until, the gi sporting girl acted out by firing her wave of ki towards the mostly mechanical man. The bolt of energy was powerful, surely deadly to any normal man or woman, and it'd be a shame if it killed that delightfully familiar face. So with an inhuman shriek the shadow intervened. Aiami's blast would get speared by a white, bladed tendril coming seemingly out of nowhere. The force behind the propelling organic blade caused the energy of her attack to be dispersed completely upon contact creating a violent explosion, the blade however would continue it's trajectory and aim to spear into the girl. Regardless if it hit or missed the tendril would withdraw and dangerously wave behind it's owner. The monstrosity known as Contagion. "My my my..." His raspy voice boomed through a telepathic pulse as the pearl white creature stepped out crossing it's gooey barely solid arms. "I was under the impression that the Elderly were meant to be cherished in your society and yet... This is the scene I come to interrupt? Such foolishness..." The raspy voice hissed in each of their minds as his dark eyes looked to see all that were gathered before him. His gaze lingered, briefly, on Dr. Breech however as the gears began to turn in his head. Memories that weren't his own surfaced as he came up with a name. "Breech..." His body let out a wheezed hiss through one of the numerous open maws on his form. He turned facing the two people who stood against him. "Not only are you striking out against the elderly but you would dare strike a man of science... The illustrious Dr. Breech... Your foolishness must be paid for, though...That attack was quite something...Maybe you'll be worthwhile as prey..." His telepathic voice spoke with a deadly tone as the creature suddenly outstretched it's arms and let it's tendril whip around it freely... It seemed the monster was going to stand against them!

It seemed that the doctors attacks worked well. His headbutt slammed into the young girl, forcing her through a barely standing building not far from their battleground. Alric seemed to fair much better however; his power was closer to Breeches, which allowed the Sheriff to keep his feet on the ground. It was truly impressive to see the warrior hold his own against such a forceful kick. The Sheriff rolled his shoulders, letting out a short quip as he readied himself for a counter-attack. Alric moved irregularly, trying his best to throw off the doctor before his inevitable strike. Breech studied his movements carefully, waiting to see just when the warrior would actually make a move. "An interesting tactic...I wonder what strike he will attempt using..." Suddenly, Alric came in close! He rolled to the floor, bursting upwards with a flash of Kiai. He rammed into Breech chest-first, causing the mechanized doctor to stumble backwards right into the line of fire for a Ki Beam! Breech shielded himself, but a newcomer took the Ki strike out of the equation for the good doctor. An odd, goo-like creature revealed itself; tendrils waving oh-so menacingly as it spoke. Breeches eyes flashed crimson once more as he scanned the creature, his face caked in curiosity as the data streamed into his heads-up display. A light chuckle escaped the aged scientist's lips, clearly amused by what his data revealed. "So...Doctor Sithis finally went ahead and created something worthwhile did he? You are a magnificent display of science!" It had been ages since Breech had encountered Sithis, but last they met the hedgehog zoanthrope was having trouble with research. It seemed he finally cracked the code, so to speak; the cost presumably being his own life. On top of all that, it seemed the creature knew Breech! The first person he'd met since his upgrade into an Android who had heard of the good doctor's exploits was an ally! This turn of events could not be better in the least. Another sinister chuckle escaped the doctor; this was going to end very poorly for these two organic warriors, that much was very certain. "I must say, it is quite unfortunate for the two of you that an ally has arrived for me; I might have had to put up a real fight had he not so graciously intervened." He bowed towards Contagion as he finished speaking, clearly grateful for his assistance. "Now that we're evenly matched, why don't we get back to it?"The doctors eyes began filling with a violet light, reaching near blinding levels as he charged his energy. Suddenly, two thin beams of purely destructive Ki shot from his eyes, blowing his mustache hair back as it flew. The two thin beams careened forwards, aiming right for Alric's chest! Should they hit, a massive explosion would occur, most likely causing a hefty amount of damage.

"Aiami!" He started, before sensing the building energy of an attack. Looks like the human will have to fend for herself. Recovering from his attack, all he saw was...a giant silver hedgehog? Maybe he got hit harder then he thought. Shaking his brain clean of worries, he scowled at the exchange between android and bio-droid. "First I'ma curbstomp you, ya giant toaster. Aiami, try to last a bit!" A quick glance checked the sky. It wasn't dusk yet, but if he could handle the good Doctor, and if Aiami could stay alive until the moon came out....
"A half hour at best." He mumbled, before resetting his stance. The first thing that happened was obvious; lazer beams from his eye? Alright, maybe not that obvious! Energy flared and the Captain made to rush up. Skirting the blast. Well, he would've if his duster still wasn't a perfect target. Sending him reeling through the sky, the impact and his already attempt-to-escape momentum propelling him sky high in a trail of smoke and debris. It looked like an early end to the smack-talking Saiyan, until the shredded garment fell down. Now just a vest wrapped around his shoulders. Metal and human arms flexing in pain, scars and dents visible along the entire warriors body. A glob of blood was spit out, before it even landing on the ground the soldier was dashing back in. Hand held out, sending pulses of Ki blasts to keep his way clear before slamming back into his opponent. Obviously comfortable close and dirty, heavy muscled limbs smashing in blurs of motion. Mostly arms, jabs and wide haymakers mixed in with the occasional kick. Never aimed higher then the shin; Val thought kicks were too easy to be misdirected if aimed high.
"Space blasted robots; ya think yer an even match for a Saiyan?" Despite his redemption, Val was falling back to his blood. A proud Saiyan warrior; and although it was far from what he wanted, his fighting style grew meaner. Harder to predict and more instinct then training. Once close combat was well under way, he made to slam his arms up and under his opponents. Muscles buldging as he tossed them up, and twisted past the Doctor's side. Holding his hand out, meaning to press both of them against it's (I believe it would be it's) side, bio-electricity pulsing down both human and cybernetic arms. "Valkyrie Pulse!" HE snarled, the coursing electricity shocking volts of power from redirected Ki. Meaning to deliver the deadly static right through his foes systems. They'd devastate a meat and blood fighter, but an android? He was hoping he'd cook it to exploding!
