Space. For some, it was their final frontier. For others, it was a void of nothing. And yet still for others more, it was isolation and peace. For one Arcosian, it somewhat represented the latter of those three options. Peace to perform his training without interruption, isolation so as to not have to compete with others for his space... and yet space represented for him a means to an end. The possibilities were as boundless as the reaches of the ever expanding cosmos.
These thoughts and others he contemplated as he maintained his position within the corona of one of Brenchian Gamma's twin suns. The red giant to be precise. He wasn't so foolish as to try and make the attempt to withstand the blue dwarf star that acted as this systems second sun just yet. The gravitational field as well as heat from the blue dwarf would be far too much for him at his current level of development. No, the red giant would suffice.
He could feel the massive star trying to pull him ever closer into its enveloping grasp, the strain on his body evident in the musculature of his flesh. And this was just the corona he was inhabiting. The Arcosian smirked as he considered the future of his training. Each day he'd delve a little deeper into the Red Giant, each day he'd subject himself to greater gravitational stress, each day he'd force himself through the pains of the radiation and solar winds.
He had already spent six hours in this position, not budging a single inch from the spot he'd chosen, not even moving any of his limbs. This was an exercise in control after all. His willpower versus the sheer forces of the Red Giant looming before him. But he knew that he'd have to practice movement in this gravitational field soon enough. It was one thing to be able to plunge oneself into the heart of a star and survive, it was another to actually be able to fight within its core. With that said, he let out a breath he didn't realise he'd been holding, taking up a classic ready stance before his Scouter beeped at him.
Immediately he snarled before tapping the device on his head. "There had better be a good explanation for this intrusion!" he said to the unfortunate soul that had become the recipient of his ire. "Apologies sir, but... its Arcosia sir..." Abzerute blinked before frowning. "What's happened to the homeworld? Speak quickly." he ordered. As the grunt on the other side of the transmission informed him of what had occured, or at least what was reported to have happened, the Arcosian's face grew darker despite the light of the sun bathing him in its glow.
He looked out into the distant void of space, in the general direction of where Arcosia was located before then glaring back at the Red Giant before him. "I'll be returning to Brench momentarily..." he transmitted before removing his scouter and hurling it away from him into space. "Time to accelerate my schedule." he said, raising a single digit towards the Red Giant.
A small purple light began to glow around the tip of his finger, before lancing out towards the star, striking it's surface. Nowhere near enough power to do any real damage to the stellar object, but enough to get the reaction he desired. A fusion reaction to be precise. The surface of the sun began to churn and boil before a massive pillar of celestial fire surged forth and engulfed the Arcosian.
Abzerute took the full brunt of the stars rage, letting its flames and radiation crackle and sear across his bio armour, pushing himself to the brink of his durability. Before he could reach the edge of oblivion, he clenched his fists before waving the solar flare away from him with his telekinesis. His body smoked in the vacuum of space, his armour blackened from the burns he had just self-inflicted upon himself.
He panted from the exertion, using his telekinetic abilties once more in order to reclaim the Scouter he'd thrown away, replacing the device upon his head. "They will... pay... for their... crimes..." growled the Arcosian as he began to make the flight back towards Brenchian Gamma and the medical facilities that lay there. There was another reason for training around a star instead of on a planet... the sheer fury of a solar flare ravaging his body would provide ample endurance training. The Saiyans would pay dearly for destroying his homeworld. But first, he would have to heal... Solar flares hurt like hell!
