Tomoroko haven't even bothered to shower off from her last training session under 50x gravity. She had eaten, slept and recovered, allowing her body a moments rest before she stood in front of the machine once more. They had allowed everyone on a ship a time frame to spend within the chamber for one last attempt to get stronger and now it was her turn...
She stepped through the door, sealing the door behind her and making her way over to the gravity machine. She stared at the console for a moment before taking in a deep breath and adjusting the gravity's intensity to 60x gravity. Like it did every time, the gravity hit her hard and her knee's almost buckled underneath the pressure. She had been quick this time to infuse Ki into her legs this time, learning from the previous times she had fallen to her ass at the wuick turnover.
"Alright... I can't let anyone down... if Etoru came from earth and he had more than enough strength to beat me... the others must be insanely powerful as well... I don't know if my current strength will be enough..."
She girl thought to herself, flexing her right arm as she clenched her hand into a fist, gritting her teeth at her own statement. She was terrified of going to war, terrified of what she would be asked to do for her Empire... she didn't mind fighting them, she didn't even mind dying for her new family... but she didn't want to kill anyone. At least, no one that didn't deserve it.
She shook her head vigorously at her own thoughts, opening her hands and clapping them against her face to get herself focused. She programmed the central console once more then stepped back away from it.
"Alright, computer I want you to bring up Etoru, Aspa and Natto again, all as super saiyans. Accommodate their strengths to be stronger than mine. During our battle, I want you to keep track of what's going on outside, we can't go over our allowed time."
She ordered the computer that simply beeped in response. Within seconds the three images she had requested appeared at three different points within the chamber. She sucked in another deep breath before sluggishly moving herself into a ready fighting position. She was going to face stronger enemies on Earth... so why train at her own level? She had to train at a level higher... she had to push herself one level higher...
The fake Natto charged towards Tomoroko, little Etoru in tow, using the larger saiyan's body as a blind spot as he hid behind him. It looked like the time for thinking on things was over, and her training was started. She pushed herself forward as best she could, bringing her left arm up to block Natto's punch, then attempting to strike him with her right, only to be blocked as he attempted to kick her. She tried to jump up in the air to dodge only to have Etoru pop up from behind Natto to knock her right back into the ground.
"aarg!"
Tomoroko growled as she hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. The program didn't give her a chance to recover though as Natto's boot came down to stomp on her face. Tomoroko's hands flew up to grab his foot before it could connect, keeping it hovering just inches from her face. When she saw the smirk on his face her heart sank. With his hands still free, he began to charge up an energy blast aimed at his prone target.
Tomoroko's tail flew up from underneath her just then, wrapping itself tightly around Natto's wrist as she used it to pull herself with all of her strength, out from underneath Natto's foot, swinging herself like a monkey would. Natto's foot crashed against the floor as Tomoroko broke free. She charged up her atomic strike into her left fist and punched Natto's energy beam with it. There was a loud explosion as both beams collided and both parties were sent hurling away from where they had been.
The only one that didn't seem to be affected by the blast was Etoru, who took up Natto's offensive position and began to assault Tomoroko with a barrage of melee punches and kicks. The computer should know better than to use the same tricks again during this training session, but this was where the computer was playing with her head. Little Etoru brought his hands up to his eyes, s hutting them tightly as he cried out again.
"Solar Flare!"
Caught off guard by the use of the move again, Tomoroko stumbled back while bringing her hands up cover her eyes, rubbing them vigorously when she found that she couldn't see much of anything besides a white haze.
"Damn it... I didn't think he... OOF"
A large fist suddenly came crashing into her gut, knocking all the wind out of her lungs and forcing her to fall down to her knees where the same large fists suddenly clobbered her in the back of the head, forcing her face to connect with the floor. Maybe fighting all three of them as super saiyans was a mistake... she couldn't handle them... they were much too strong for her to handle on her own.
"No... If I... I can't beat fakes... I'll... I'll hold everyone back..."
The young girl said with determination as she charged up her ki around her, a red orb appearing around her body that spun and spun so fast it was almost dizzying to look at. Whenever she did release the blast it blew Natto and Etoru away from her once more, giving the young girl just enough space to stand back up to her feet. Her eyesight was still foggy, but at least now she could see a little bit better than before. Her eyes locked onto the fake Natto, who at the moment was the biggest threat against her. She charged up her atomic blast into both fists, glaring her boyfriend down before kicking off from her position. While she was still slow, the constant motion within the gravity chamber was allowing her to quickly get used to the gravity.
Just as the image of Natto recovered it's footing, Tomoroko was already up in his face. She would pound her right fist into his face, while her left went directly for his chest. The Atomic strikes connected, causing more loud explosions to sound from the gravity chamber as Tomoroko poured more and more energy into her attacks, moving faster and faster as she went. Her first three strikes connected before she began to charge her kicks, which connected faster than the fake could block. Faster, and faster, and faster she would go until she could barely feel what her body was doing. She was moving more out of instinct now than she was out of will.
By the time she was done, the image of Natto began to turn into static, clinging to staying solid, but soon it would fizzle out of existence. It was becoming difficult to fight illusions, as her scouter couldn't even pick up the fact that Etoru was now charging at her, or that Aspa, this whole time had been busy charging up a ki blast.
Etoru's fist came crashing into Tomoroko's head, sending her crashing into the wall once more with a scowl. Tomoroko pushed herself from the wall towards little Etoru, her fists once more glowing with the power of her Atomic Strike as she attempted to hit her much smaller target. It was much more difficult to hit such a nimble target, but none the less, Tomoroko did everything she could to hit him, all while blocking the half saiyans own attacks. That was when both her scouter beeped a sound of alarm, and so did the central gravity chamber console, distracting Tomoroko from what she was doing. The image of Etoru backed off at the sound of the alarm, but the fake Aspa never stopped what he was doing.
"Azure High Caliber!"
Aspa had been charging a small energy blast above his index finger, however, just because the attack was small definitely did not mean that it would not pack an insane punch. Tomoroko barely had time to turn and notice what he was doing before the attack was launched at her.
"Crap crap crap... Rail Gun!"
She cried out as she brought both hands together, charging her rail gun before her two index fingers and quickly firing it back towards the Azure high Caliber. Both beams collided in the middle of the gravity chamber, each struggling for dominance over the other. However, as Aspa had much longer to focus his ki into his skill (illusion or not) it quickly began to pierce through her rail gun. It pushed it back before penetrating it and causing it to explode. The high Calibur attack made its way through the smoke, crashing into Tomoroko's chest and knocking her back once more into the wall of the gravity chamber. She gasped for breath and bit her lip to prevent herself from crying out in pain. She could feel blood pouring down the inside of her armor, causing her to groan and fall to the ground in a slump.
Then, even the image of Aspa stopped moving as a display screen appeared between herself and the images of her little brother and of Aspa. With a groan, she brought her hand up to her chest, but stayed sitting down as she looked at the large screen. They were passing a desolate looking planet... it looked like this one had already been torn by war, half the planet was covered in brown, while the other struggled to remain blue. There was barely any light dancing off of the small planet. It was nothing impressive to look at, however, Tomoroko's heart skipped a beat as she looked at it.
"I... know this place..."
She said softly as she pushed herself to her feet. Now that they weren't running around, she could feel the gravity tugging at her once more, but forced herself to ignore it as she slowly made her way over to the display sceen.
"What planet is that... comp-"
Suddenly her vision went blank. She couldn't see anything around her, she couldn't hear anything the computer was trying to tell her. All she could see was the white mist she had come to recognize as the cause of her memory loss. NOw, however, the fog began to shift and part the closer that they got to the planet. The more the fog began to dissipate, the more pain Tomoroko could feel within her own head. She would wince, and groan u ntil the mist completely disappeared. Tomo fell to her knees, now holding her head with her bloody hands as she felt her head against the floor, as if the cold metal would stop the pain.
Images of her last mission with her previous team began to play through her head... the images she couldn't recognize before soon started to become clearer. She could see a world torn apart by war, there were fires in every single building, bodies lining the streets of both aliens involved in war... she could hear the cries of battle, the cries of pain and the sound of the battle echoing through the air...
She could also hear Haku's shrill scream as his leg was blown away from his body. She saw the image of her saiyan brother attempt to keep himself in the air while blood gushed out of the open wound.
"HAKU!"
Tomoroko cried out into the gravity chamber, even though she was only seeing these images in her head, the young saiyan female felt as if she was back on the battlefield with her family. She began to cry as she watched the form of Haku float down towards the ground. She saw herself running over to help him, but the dog began to slowly come back into place.
"No... nononononono!"
Tomoroko continued to cry as she clung to the last remaining images in her head. She saw herself stand up, looking around herself and finding Okono and Komatsu, dead at the hand of the Astrians. She hiccuped as she cried, feeling all the rage she had felt then well up in her chest, all the hatred she had felt for the Astrians and their disgusting race.
"It's my fault... It's... they.... AAAHHHH"
Tomoroko continued to cry as she finally managed to push herself back up to her feet, tears flowing freely from her eyes as she remembered those that had originally taken her in as her family. The fear of loss, the fear of war becoming too much to bare. Her red ki flared up around her as her body attempted everything it could to get rid of the pain now coursing through Tomoroko's body. She let out another angry cry, pain evident in her voice as her power level began to skyrocket, surpassing what her body could normally reach while wearing her heavy armor. It bounced up to 20,000 then 30, 000 and reaching it's peak at 70,000. At this point, her red aura began to sputter and change, casting a golden light into the gravity chamber around her, her hair began to lift, flickering between a golden and black color.
As Tomoroko let her emotions takeover, the screen announced that they had passed planet Astria, CC83113 and was continuing its course to earth. The images of Aspa and Etoru suddenly sprang back to life, each staring at Tomoroko in disbelief before looking to one another. With a nod, both Aspa and Etoru charged at the young girl. She would be caught off guard, not expecting the images to suddenly move again. Both super saiyans would stop on either side of Tomoroko and launch energy beams much more powerful than Tomoroko could defend again.
As the beams collided with the agonized girl, any gold that had begun to cling to her body began to vanish, her energy began to die back down to it's normal, condensed level and Tomoroko fell forward onto the ground. This time, Tomo didn't move to get back up again, and the images of the two super saiyans vanished. The chamber waited about 5 minutes for Tomoroko to get back up, but when she didn't, it shut off it's gravity enhancements and let the door unlock.
Kyuri, tomo's mother had been outside the door, banging her fist against it and demanding that her daughter open up the door, unable to get in until the gravity would give way. When it finally did, the older woman ran inside, booking it for her daughter's side. She turned Tomo onto her back and placed her hand against her chest, leaning forward to hear Tomo's breathing. When she heard it, she sighed in relief before picking her up from the ground and rushing her outside of the training room. While she knew Tomo would want to recover naturally, this wasn't an option as they would be on Earth long before the girl could recover from her training. She was glad that her team had decided to buy a healing pod, as she was able to quickly install it for them. She brought tomoroko directly there, ignoring any comments from anyone she passed as she placed her daughter within the tank. She attached the oxygen mask to her face before quickly shutting It and letting the chamber fill with the liquid that would heal her.
Her injuries looked bad enough, but what Kyuri couldn't see was the emotional trauma Tomoroko had gone through just then. She had just seem her power sky rocket, and heard her screams of pain.
"What happened in there Tomo..."
