Amrenth Yakkon
Alias: Optional, nickname/codename/title/identity
Undecided on one currently.
Species:
Half-Saiyan
Gender:
Male
Age:
12
Personality:
Amrenth is a rather short-sighted, and oblivious boy â but his heart is in the right place, sort of. Considering his young age, he is not the best conversationalist and he tends to have a one-track mind. He is not care-free, however. He holds an emptiness which he does not understand, yet he tries to fill it with menial activities, trying to substitute something he doesnât even know.
Unfortunately, Amrenth is plagued by his own insecurity spurred on by the fear of being inadequate. In order to hide his weakness, he approaches everything playfully because it grants him the excuse of not taking matters seriously. He tends to toy with his opponents, even if they are stronger.
Appearance:
His clothes are threadbare, worn rags, left over from his time as a Saiyan child, before the advent of the technology weâd eventually see from the Saiyans. He is looking to replace it, eventually. As expected of a Saiyan child, his hair is unkempt with multiple bangs and spikes, and black of colour. His tail is chestnut-brown. Unlike other Saiyans, Amrenth lacks the ferocity in his eyes, instead they reflect the emptiness he feels inside.
History:
His father was the leader of one of the Saiyan tribes, before the arrival of the Arconians, he lagged behind the fellow children. From a young age, they were trained to be fighters, considering the tribal altercations that occurred between Saiyans.
Although Amrenth managed to eventually learn how to manipulate your energy into blasts and orbs, the ability to fly eluded him. His constant struggles with the training caused him to feel a sense of inadequacy compared to the other saiyans. His peers shunned him, and ridiculed him.
When the Saiyans got their hands on spaceships, his father and mother were selected to traverse a part of the universe, looking for a planet that would be habitable and suitable for the Saiyan race. This drive for a new planet eventually led to the Saiyan-Tuffle War. Realising that Amrenth was struggling among his peers, his father offered to take him along for the journey, thinking that some personal training would benefit the boy.
The three Saiyans arrived at the planet LV-2089 seperately, with Amrenthâs pod crashing in the middle of city that lay in ruins. He noticed a peculiar sight: a group of strange beings were loading strange statues onto a large ship. These statues had the appearance of stone eggs. Feeling childishly inquisitive, Amrenth snuck closer to figure out what was going on. His instincts told him to avoid the aliens, but when he tried to sneak away he was discovered.
Sensing his distress, his parents arrived at the scene quickly, to see a strange, wrinkly wizard flanked by bodyguards. Two other thugs were smacking Amrenth around. His father, enraged, quickly assaulted them, only to be held back by the strange wizardâs bodyguards. Amrenth witnessed his fatherâs strength proved futile against the Wizardâs minions as they made short work of him. His mother followed next.
Throughout the fight, Amrenth was paralysed by fear, unable to jump in to help his parents. Pathetically useless, he was forced to watch the wizard transform his parents into those egg statues, and then they turned their attention to him.
Amrenth woke up on a strange planet â Earth. He couldnât remember how he arrived on this planet; it didnât feel like home. He remembers hardly anything, but sometimes a faint glimpse of his past: a space journey. He had awoken to emptiness, behind him a stone statue resembling a cracked egg with broken rubble littered on the ground near to it. Finding himself in a grove, surrounded by nature, he did what was conditioned: he trained. He roamed the nearby area, scavenging for food, keeping himself busy and in shape for a few years.
Starting Planet: Homeworld unless otherwise stated.

Techniques:
Offensive
[N1] 72 Transformations:
Amrenth imbues his body with energy, boosting his physical strikes. He self-taught this technique by observing animals nearby his grove, and after having difficulties with manifesting enough ki-energy in a stronger blast. One form of the technique is a flying headbutt, another is a dropkick. Does the technique really have 72 different versions?

Update: Changed some minor things, added my techniques as well. I'd still like to be Saiyan, since I prefer their transformations and there seem to be less of them on the site. If you'd strongly advise me to become a Half-Saiyan anyway, I'll make the change. Although the character isn't a time traveler, your brainstorming did give me an idea on how to eventually age him when the time comes. I hope the backstory is decent enough.
