Tomoroko had been training out in the old Tuffle ruins, deciding instead to train under normal gravity so that she could better practice her Rail Gun technique and improve upon it without blowing up Natto's ship. She'd already caused enough damage to their vessel... and all of those repairs came out of her pocket. She hoped that the mechanics would fix it long before Natto would notice the dents.
She brought up her right hand, pointing her index finger and thumb as if she was holding a gun and began to charge her Rail Gun. As per usual, a small tennis ball sized orb appeared in front of her index finger as she charged her attack. She needed to be able to get it to a higher charge in a shorter amount of time, meaning she had to get used to being able to pump enough energy into the attack right away. She would fuel more and more energy into the attack until the orb slowly began to grow. The progress was slow as she didn't want to over load the attack and have it blow up in her face. Whenever she finally managed to get the orb to the size of a basket ball she stopped and just focused on maintaining the energy.
She bit her lower lip as her arm began to shake from sustaining it for too long, but she firmly planted her feet and exhaled slowly to focus. She even closed her eyes and simply concentrated on the energy flowing through her body. She needed to keep this flow constant until it started to feel as if it was second nature. She kept the energy gathered in from of her for 15 minutes before firing it off into one of the ruins, watching as it exploded into pieces upon impact. She took a couple of deep breaths to steady herself before bringing her arm up again. She charged her Rail Gun there again, this time the orb was a little bigger than the last time right off the bat, but just as she went to fuel more energy into it her scouter began to beep, alerting her to an incoming message. The message didn't even wait to be answered, instead the image sprang to life within her display, breaking her focus and dismissing the energy she had been putting into her Rail Gun.
The images that were played across her screen were of some planet she didn't recognize... a planet that seemed to be under siege by her own people, the saiyans. It was a hell of a warzone with fire, steel and blood splattered all across the planet (or so it seemed). She saw the forms of the large Oozaru doing what they did best, destroying everything in sight including the alien troops that she soon recognized as the Arcosians.
"Is that... Arcose? Why is this on my scouter..."
She stated as she watched the images unfold. She watched the war rage on until the image seemed to cut out, replacing the warzone with the image of a large tree who's roots seemed to span the entirety of the image... and probably even further. Again, the image cut out to a golden haired woman sitting inside what looked like a ship. She definitely recognized her even though she had never met her before. It was Queen Zucceta.
Tomoroko gulped at the sight of the super saiyan Queen, listening intently to her message and frowning slightly. Tomoroko had never been to war... at least not as far as she remembered... but the images that she had seen were far above brutal... they made her sick to her stomach to watch them from a distance... and now there sat the queen, with the head of her opponent. This sight made her turn her gaze away from her screen, even reaching up to pull the scouter from her face so that she didn't have to look on the scene being played out before her. However, when she mentioned a new weapon, she looked back at the image.
"The tree? There was nothing else there that I can think of... how does a tree do all of that... there's no honor in conquering a planet that way..."
She said lowly, glancing around her to make sure there was no one nearby to hear her words. Then, the Queen continued to speak, announcing that the age of the super saiyans had come and Tomoroko's heart sank.
'I'm not becoming a super saiyan to become part of her super soldier army... I'm not doing what they did... that's not showing our strength, or our pride that's showing our cruelty....'
This time, she kept her thoughts to herself in the event that someone was around to hear her. It wouldn't be very becoming for anyone to speak ill of the Queen... let alone someone who was so close to the one over seeing the Empire in her absence.
She had to get her mind off of what she saw... she had to finish her training session and clear her head before she contacted Natto about anything... no doubt that he had seen the message too and she wasn't too sure how he would react to it...
"Damn it... why do I feel so conflicted about this..."
She growled as she raised her right arm much as she had been earlier, pointing her finger and thumb into a gun. She channeled her Rail Gun technique but this time, instead of a small tennis ball gathering, a large basketball sized beam appeared without her needing to charge up the attack. She angrily fired it at a crumbling building and watched it destroy everything in it's path, leaving a trail of energy behind it. Whenever the beam hit the center of the building it exploded, sending debris flying in every which direction. As the debris began to land, it would vaporize the instant it hit the remaining tail of the blast, causing that much more destruction.
Tomoroko stared at her own attack in surprise, bringing her 'gun' up to her face as she inspected it as if she couldn't believe what she had just done.
"Okay... well that worked... I guess I should meet Natto now..."
She stated as she shook out her hand and took to the sky. She had a good idea of where she could find him, and knew her scouter would pick up on his location the closer that she got to him. It wasn't until mid-way through her flight that she got a message from Natto, asking her to meet with his urgently. Her heart sank as she began to fly faster...
