From her position on the moon, Zuni often found herself watching the world below spin quietly in darkness. Or, she did. Then she had the bright idea of creating a new companion for herself - something to help her pass the time with casual conversation. Nothing too complicated; she didn't want something that would get ambitions of its own... and that is how Zuni came to have her head orbited by a small peach-coloured rock, which had not... stopped... talking.
"HEY HEY! LISTEN! HEY! I can sense all sortsa things down there! Hey! Hey Zuni, do you think we should go exploring? Hey! Maybe we could discover a new cheesecake recipe, I love cheesecake! Or I would, if I had a mouth. Why didn't you give me a mouth? HEY! HEY ZUNI!"
The demon's brow twitched. Maybe if she ignored it, it would get the idea and shut up.
"ZUNI! ZZZZZZZZZUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
Why had she thought that this was a good idea? Its voice was so high-pitched, it set her teeth on edge just listening to it. She really needed to practice her conjuration skills. If this was an example of the best she was capable of, she was woefully out of practice!
"Zuni? Zuni Zuni Zuni Zuni ZUuuuuuUUuuUuuuuni?"
"WHAT?!"
The little rock bobbed away from her head, a sweatdrop appearing on it's side after her bellowing shout.
"I uh, I can sense a really strong guy down there. I think he's a Super Saiyan. You wanted me to keep an eye out for any of those, didn't you?"
A slow smile tugged itself on Zuni's lips, and she rubbed her hands together as she rose from her seated position. "Yes, yes I did."
"Zuni?"
"Yes?"
"Then why didn't you give me any eyes?!"
It didn't take her long to track the power level with the help of her rock. Wearing a new disguise as an orange-haired half-saiyan in maintenance overalls, Zuni twirled her mop and swished her bucket as she wandered along the palace hanger. It was always interesting to see how far you could get, just by acting as though you belonged there - really, nobody looked twice at yet another filthy half-blood scrubbing floors and doing menial labour. One of the many advantages of saiyan racism put pretty clearly on display, there!
When she came to Natto's ship, the young woman stopped, and put her hands on her hips. "In there, Screechy?" She asked, and the rock, stuffed inside her overalls, gave a muffled. "Mmnhmm. Power level is spiking, but he's WAY strong! Like, almost a hundred times stronger than you, boss!"
This was going to be interesting.
Zuni had once told Zucceta that she was living in the Age of the Super Saiyan. That seemed more prophetic than ever before these days. She could name four Super Saiyans off the top of her head - five if she included one that had managed to be destroyed. These things tended to go in cycles in her experience; strength waxed strong throughout the galaxy, and then died off again as warriors clashed, fought and died.
But she didn't know a thing about this power. The ship was totally unknown to her, it wasn't the Queen's flagship, or the Deputy she'd left in charge - she'd taken the time to note what those ships looked like. Nor was it Vennel's ship, which meant that this was yet another new Super Saiyan.
It was exciting in some ways. She'd have to be careful, or this individual might blow her to atoms - but at the same time, another potential Super Saiyan - a relative unknown - could be a powerful asset if she played her cards right. She just needed to know what this person was like. Then she could make sure that she stacked the deck accordingly.
Which is how there comes to be a rap-rap-rapping on Natto's door, Zuni standing there in her worker's uniform, beaming from ear to ear as though she were the cat who swallowed the canary. Her disguise is pretty good; her tail is wrapped around her waist, her hair dazzlingly orange, and her teeth sparkling white and just a little fanged. There was definitely saiyan in her to most eyes - the monkey tail helped a lot with that - but by the same token, there's no way in HFIL that she's passing as a pureblood.
How the owner of this mysterious craft, and the even more mysterious power level, would react to being interrupted by a half-blood would tell Zuni an awful lot about them as a person. She just had to try and keep her cool, and not overplay her hand - it sure would be nice to end a trip to the palace without being blown up or choked; that was a bad habit she was starting to get into, right there!

[Thread Power Level: 183.438] After a very different training session, Natto was ready to go for a snack, as his belly was rumbling like crazy, making him laugh with it. – Is there anything on this universe better than eating?! – he asked himself amidst his laugh, as he walked towards a small fridge he kept on the training hub of his royal spaceship, the Star Javelin. Natto grabbed a large chunk of meat and a bottle of water and started eating it right away, even though it was almost frozen. ”I should’ve cooked it first, but damn! Too hungry for that!” he shrugged as he devoured his post-training meal. That was revigorating and he was already considering another training session. ”I feel pretty good… Guess I should train a little bit more… There isn’t such a thing as too much training, especially considering our current situation…” he thought to himself.
However, before he could decide, he heard some rapping on the door of his spaceship. Natto arched one of his brows and stared at the door’s direction. ”Who might it be?” the young saiyan commander walked towards his scouter – that was on the floor – and putted it at his left ear, clicking on the button to scan it. ”Twenty five thousand… That’s something! Better check it out…” he said, after checking that person’s power level. Natto went to the door and opened it with a click of a button. The young saiyan wasn’t wearing anything but his pants black-colored jumpsuit. He had a muscular build and a few scattered normal scars on his body, and a more prominent one, a cross-shaped deep scar on his left cheek. His tail wasn’t wrapped around his waist but hanging loose.
Natto saw a girl he had never seen before. She had weird orange hair, but had a tail wrapped around her waist in a belt-like fashion, like most saiyans, and she wore some workers cloths, which was sort of weird, since she was at elite tier on power level, but sometimes personality would be responsible for designing a person for a certain job, so he didn’t pay too much of an attention. She was most definitely hybrid, but Natto didn’t care. On his opinion, if someone had at least a tiny drop of saiyan blood and embraced their heritage, they were as good as any other saiyan. Either way, he had a curious look on his face.
– Err… Hello! May I help you? – he asked on a rather gentle tone, which was quite peculiar for a saiyan especially a saiyan that powerful. Word Count: 428

Zuni's eyes widen just a touch when she sees Natto - she knew this guy! He was there at the palace the other day. He'd annoyed Kaula, if she remembered right, and had gotten annoyed himself at her antics. Interesting to think that there'd been another person just on the cusp of the Super Saiyan legend in that room after all. Despite her best efforts, it seemed like there was at least one more man there destined to obtain that golden-haired form. That was disturbing. She might have to go back and try to keep tabs on the others who had been there...
To her credit, though, the realization that she's seen this guy before doesn't throw her completely off-balance. She is soon pressing on with her plan.
"Not exactly, Sir, I'm here to help you!"
Zuni's grin has opened many doors in her time; it is a good grin. All white, sparkling teeth and zest for life. She might be dressed like a janitor, but she's clearly a woman who loves her work; coupled with a tone that is all good-natured joviality and cheer, everything about the apparent halfbreed is carefully calculated to try and put others at their ease; he hasn't responded with anger or frustration so far, so it is time to see if his good nature extends further than that. "I'm sorry to bother you when you're hard at work in there, Sir, but some of the boys over in engineering were picking up some funny signals. You wouldn't mind if I came in and had a poke around your ship there, would you? Make sure you haven't got a radiation leak or something? Doesn't matter how strong you get, you can't punch cancer, am I right?"
She laughs as she says this, trying to move past Natto - because this is, obviously, an entirely natural thing for her to be doing - she's here to do her job, if she just acts as though it is a given Natto will let her get on with doing it.. he probably will, right?
That's how it usually works out for her at any rate.
If she makes it into the entrance of the ship, she'll put both her hands on her hips (making her bucket slosh and her mop a bit of an unwieldy menace) and whistle appreciatively as she makes a show of looking around. One wouldn't necessarily think that a demon like her would be well versed in space ships, but the fact is, if you're going to try and get across the galaxy, you're going to need to use them - and she'd stowed away on more ships in her time than she could count. This is, genuinely, one of the more impressive examples she's been on.
"Now this is a nice ship, Sir, you must be doing well for yourself, am I right? I thought the boys were pulling my tail when they said they were reading power levels of over a million coming from over here, but if you can afford something this fancy, I guess you'd have to be that strong just to deal with the jealous competition, huh?"
Her grin only gets wider at her little joke, and she nudges Natto's side if he'll let her - she's definitely a lot more open and cheerful than the average half-saiyan menial worker... but then, as Natto's scouter had pointed out, she's also a lot stronger than the average half-saiyan menial worker. Maybe that strength buys her some leeway with her bosses; when you can KO an Elite Warrior with a decent punch, that must make you a god amongst the engineering staff!

Natto didn’t notice any surprise on Zuni’s eyes, and was quite surprised himself when she said that she was there to help him, making him arch one of his brows with a quite puzzled expression on his face. – Help… Me? – he asked, feeling rather confused by that. ”How does she intend on helping me? Didn’t know I needed any sort of help from the janitors or something…” he thought to himself. The girl, however, had this large grin that was quite pleasant to the eyes, with her white sparkling teeth and a happiness on her face that made she seems like a really good person to have around, which led Natto to lower his guard and smile back at her in a quite gentle and kind tone, which was rather odd.
She was also quite polite, since she apologized for bothering his hard work, but she had a good reason. She said that the boys at the engineering sector were picking up some funny signals, and that was something to be alert about, and he nodded, agreeing with her. – If that’s the case then, come in! – he said, stepping away from the door to let her inside. – Sorry about the mess… it is quite new and I hadn’t had the time to get things on their right place! – he said in an apologetically tone.
As she got inside the ship, she seemed a little impressed, which made Natto smile in a proud way and, as expected, she complimented his ship, saying that he must be doing well for himself, making him chuckle, both proud and a little embarrassed, as he wasn’t used to receive many compliments. – I guess so… - he commented while she kept on speaking, saying that the boys read a power level of over a million coming that way, to which he nodded, and, when she finally spoke about jealously, he sighed, scratching the back of his head, since he hadn’t put much thought on that matter as of yet.
– I don’t know about jealously… I hope I won’t have to deal with that… But the readings were correct… My power level is around that indeed… I was just recently promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the Saiyan Solar Empire’s Stationary… - he sighed after speaking the big title he held at the moment with a mixed feeling on his eyes. Part of him was proud of the position, but the other was quite annoyed with the heavy burden that was placed on his shoulders. Word Count: 424

"Wow. Well, congratulations, Sir!"
Zuni fishes around inside her bucket for a moment, and then produces... the peach-coloured stone. It is only a small thing, but she begins to wave it around, and obligingly, the stone begins to emit a (high-pitched) "Beep, beep, beep..." Which helps Zuni keep up the pretence that she's actually doing something other than just waving a rock around the inside of a very impressive spaceship.
She doesn't miss Natto's hesitation. The interesting question for her though, is why he's frustrated. That is a lot of responsibility, but in her experience, saiyans were often either clamouring for titles, or busily ignoring them; being annoyed by a title you've found yourself burdened with wasn't a usual response.
"Really, don't worry about the mess either, Sir, trust me, you should see my place. Hahah. Well. Maybe not. Wouldn't want people talking." A flashed, cheeky grin, and she laughs to herself, shaking her head.
"Anyhoo. Commander in Chief huh? That's pretty impressive. I'm surprised they've got a guy like you stuck planetside, though. I'd have thought you'd be off murdering planets, enslaving populations, crushing the enemies of the empire before you and hearing the lamentations of their women, that sort of thing. No?"
There's... something in the way the demon says it. She sounds light and breezy enough, but as she keeps waving that beeping rock around, there's a bit of a twirl in her step and... a disapproving edge in her voice? She really doesn't approve of the saiyan habit of rocking out there and annihilating worlds. It was unusual for anyone as low station as her to voice it - hell, in the Saiyan Solar Empire, it was rare for anyone to even think that the saiyans didn't have some divine right to go out there and obliterate every other force in the galaxy to bring them to heel - but there it is.
It is the first real test Zuni has for Natto; does he pick up on it? And if he does, how does he choose to respond to it? She's expecting him to get angry, perhaps even violently so, in which case she's going to have to work pretty hard in the next few seconds just to stay alive. If he doesn't, though, she might be able to push a little further... there is that hesitation to work with. It could be that Natto, like Zucceta, confounded Zuni's expectations of the usual saiyan behaviour... but if she remembered his frustration in the throne room correctly, that didn't seem particularly likely.

The orange haired hybrid girl congratulated, making him nod, slightly embarrassed by that. Then, she took a small stone from inside her bucket and kept waving around, and Natto deduce it was something that searched for radiation, so he didn’t pay much attention to it, since he was decided to let the girl do her job. When she said something about him seeing her place, he blushed and grazed away, scratching the back of his head before nodding. – Doesn’t seem appropriate indeed… - he commented, and then she changed topics, making him feel really glad.
She said something that really caught his attention. The way she spoke it made him feel really annoyed and somehow bad for his past actions. The more he tried to justify it; he still felt it was somehow wrong. Well… it was something that had to be done! The saiyans couldn’t afford to lose their power, and the races that were a threat had to be eliminated. The universe was a cruel us against them game, and the saiyans had already lost it once, and he wasn’t willing to let them lose again, even if it meant purging other races. But it didn’t mean he enjoyed that.
He frowned his eyebrows and sighed heavily, before looking back at the girl. – Look… I know you may not understand it, since you are not a warrior… But I already did my job to the empire and conquered a couple planets… - he said, with a not very excited tone. He had some guilt in it, and his eyes were both angry and sad talking about it. – It is something we need to do in order to protect the saiyan race… I find no pleasure slaughtering creatures… So, please, don’t say it like that… - he said, snorting a little, unfolding and the folding his arms again, as he was feeling a little restless. – Also… There’s got to be someone capable on the planet… To defend it… And it happened that I was the best option I’ve got at the moment… - he said, sighing again, unable to hide how uncomfortable he was with his own position.
If he could chose, he would resume being the leader of his squad and that was good enough. Take his missions, help the empire, lead to a certain degree, but nothing as big as commanding the freaking empire… That was too much! Word Count: 403

There's a cheerful laugh from Zuni at the soldier's words - a cheerful laugh from her is really rather... monkey-like, though. All cackles and deep breaths. Thankfully, that doesn't last too long either. The woman instead catches herself, continuing to wave her magic rock around.
"Beep, beep, beeepbeep, beep..."
Zuni purses her lips for a moment, and then shrugs her shoulders, giving the rock a little bit of a shake. She walks a few more paces into the ship, and then backs up, looking over her shoulder to Natto.
"I might not be a soldier." She says, "But, its fair to say I've been around the block a few times, you know?"
If only he knew how true THAT statement was. She'd watched the saiyans since they were scrubbing around in caves and jungles; she'd always had a love/hate relationship with the species she'd chosen to tie her eternity to, and it pained her to see them embracing their worst qualities to the utter limit. It was true that Zucceta had impressed her on the few occasions they'd met, but the Empire needed more people like her, and more people who could understand that life isn't just about violence and seriousness, if they were to achieve the place in the galaxy she so dearly wanted to see.
"See, I love a good scrap as much as the next saiyan. We all do! That's what saiyans were born to do - to fight! And to win! And if you can't win? You fight again, but harder, and longer. I love that about -- us." There was a hesitation there, almost imperceptible, but thankfully she catches herself in time - hopefully he'll just not notice, or play it off as halfbreed insecurities.
"The thing is, buddy... and I bet you have to think about this a lot more than I do, you have to ask yourself, what is it all for? We're conquering the stars when the average saiyan is still miserable. Not just that, but we're spreading that misery out! We're becoming the very thing that we hated in the past, crushing populations that could have been us! I don't know about you, but I hate thinking that the only difference between a Kold and our Queen is that one's tail has fur."
Her little speech is given with some passion behind it, her hands waving and her eyes staring challengingly into the Commander-in-Chief's. It is only when she's totally done with it that she seems to calm down at all, hesitating, as she realizes that she's essentially just spat treason at one of the Empire's top servants - and a man who could wipe her off the face of Vegeta with a simple wave of his hand. She'd literally just confirmed that before she came in.
So she turns away, clearing her throat, "But what do I know huh? I'm just a simple engineer, me. That's all."
"BEEP."
Then, to the peach-coloured stone in her hand, "Yes, THANK you already."
"No pro--blubblubblub."
The stone is thrust into the bucket again, and she smiles apologetically, "Technical difficulties, you know how it is, needs to be reset."

The little girl said that even though she might not be a soldier, she had her share of ”being around the block”, to which he responded with a simple nod. It was quite natural for a saiyan, even though not fitting into a plain warrior category, to be into some serious fighting, especially one having such a high elite tier power level such as that girl. She continued on her speech, saying that she loved that fighting side of the saiyans, which was only natural; Natto himself liked the fighting, he just didn’t like the pure slaughter and mayhem that sometimes came with it. She hesitated when she said “us”, but he thought that, maybe, she did that due to the fact that she wasn’t a warrior, so she didn’t think she belonged on the warrior’s suit, so it raised no suspicion at all.
Then she proceed to say something that hit him hard and deep, making a sadness to take over his feature, as he deeply sighed, closing his eyes for a bit. ”Are we just like the arcosians?... She is right on that point… As much as it pains me to admit…” he sighed again, ignoring the fact that she commented something about her equipment and stuff. After a while thinking, following the girl putting the stone back at the bucket, he opened his eyes and stared her right on her own. He had a sad and uncomfortable look on his eyes, but they were also quite sincere.
– You have wisdom in your words… Doesn’t matter that you are just an engineer, you are as much as a saiyan as anyone else… Truth be told, I know that we have to conquer the universe and destroy the possible threats to our lives, since we had been destroyed once in the past for trusting aliens… But I don’t like how we go on slaughtering left and right… And, on top of that, I hate how we treat our own kind… Like… - he paused, grazing away and starring at the door. – Why do we threat the low class so badly? They are saiyans… They deserve better life conditions and respect… because we have to take care of our own… It is already difficult enough when the whole universe are our potential enemies… We should take care of each other… Grow strong together and then, be able to protect our kind… If we can learn to respect and care for one another, then, maybe, we can find a better way to rule the universe, without resorting to an unstoppable killing spree… I mean… - he sighed before staring back at her. – I know we will always end up killing people… But that should be a last resort, as soon as we are safe… Well… I don’t know… I’m just a middle class born warrior, who raised through the ranks… I’m too young to understand many things… But some things… They just feel wrong… And they always felt wrong, ever since I was a child… - he said, scratching the back of his head, feeling a little embarrassed to say that, but somehow he felt like it was the right thing to do.
Also, the little hybrid seemed like a nice person and that shared at list a little of that point of vier. Word Count: 556

Zuni feels a light grin tug its way onto her lips as Natto expresses his concerns. It isn't really something she can help; such doubts have, she knows, a way of festering. Perhaps, with proper time and encouragement, Natto could play a pivotal role in reforming the saiyans into a more carefree, happy-go-lucky race of spacefaring savage warriors. Stranger things have happened out there in the wild universe! Albeit, not often. Why the kais had decided to create the universe with the potential that people like these would ever come to play a significant role in its shape would be a mystery to her for aeons to come, no doubt.
"You know." Zuni says, turning suddenly on her heel so that she can face Natto, and dancing a few steps closer towards him. "I've met all sorts in this job." The job of ... engineering, yes, that was it. "I've met fresh-faced students straight out of the academy with some of the greatest ideas I've ever heard, and I've met old, entrenched veterans who couldn't tie a shoelace let alone realign the masitron disruptor so that its positronic flow didn't discombobulate the wisiwig." She didn't actually know what any of those terms meant, but they sounded impressive enough to her, and she was sure she'd heard engineering sorts use terms like that before.
"The point is, age doesn't mean very much in this crazy, mixed-up universe. Take it from me. It'd be nice if the old folks knew everything there was to know about everything, but the fact is, it isn't as complicated as they'd like you to think. The Saiyan Solar Empire meets every new race out there with a clenched fist, not an open hand, and then we're surprised when it turns out they don't much like us. We're idiots!"
She sighs, theatrically, and then shakes her head. "It didn't always use to be this way, you know." She says, turning away from the Commander-in-Chief, and turning her back to the young super saiyan. "My Father used to tell me all these great stories. Have you ever heard of a piece of folklore called... Zuni Vukong?"
There's something in the way she asks the question - something that hints, before she's even started to really say it - that the question is one of deep important. She didn't know whether her antics with the Queen would have meant that the Commander-in-Chief would have been briefed as to her existence on the planet. She didn't know, really, whether she was still being hunted - it was the first time since that whole affair that she'd even dared to utter her own name in the presence of another.
But it was an important test. If he did - by some miracle - know of her original legend (deeply unlikely, but possible, depending on just how scholarly Natto and his family were) then it'd be interesting to know what he made of that... if he knew her name and was instructed to kill her on sight, then that'd also be useful information to know! And of course, if he knew nothing at all... then she might be able to plant seeds here.
If she could convince Natto to come under her wing, she could have her very own Super Saiyan! That would help level the playing field considerably... it was definitely a far more attractive proposition than trying to do all the work herself!

The young hybrid girl turned around on her heels to stare back at Natto, who stared back at her, feeling a little odd, since he was speaking his mind and that would usually leave him a little embarrassed. She spoke something about engineering and his looks got even more confused, as he couldn’t make any sense of what she was talking about. He nodded in a complete unsure way, as he tried his best not to look stupid, but he couldn’t hide the fact that he was clueless. Luckily, she said “the point is”, meaning that she would probably explain what she was saying. She said that age didn’t mean a lot in this world, and then started speaking about the attitudes of the Saiyan Solar Empire, making him sigh.
”We… We have a reason to be so fierce…” he thought, more like he was trying to convince himself of that. He remembered his father’s words. Douchi would tell him the stories of what happened to the saiyans when they trusted the aliens: they got destroyed and that was a terrible fate for his race. Natto didn’t want it to happen again, that’s why he got so devoted on protecting the saiyans, even though he didn’t agree with much of their aggression. He learned to mistrust the aliens, seeing them as potential enemies and, when he met Reikiko, that mistrust just intensified as she actually threatened to lure Virtual Poi to wipe them out.
Then, she spoke again, saying that she wasn’t always like that, and that her father use to tell her a lot of stories. That statement reached him with a lot of strength, as his own father was the figure that told him stories. – Your father? – he led it slid, with some sadness and nostalgia inside his eyes, as he remembered about his father. The young girl asked him, shortly after that, if he had ever heard of Zuni Vukong. Natto touched his chin, with a thoughtful expression, as he searched inside his mind for that name, that somehow sounded familiar.
Douchi, Natto’s father, wasn’t the best warrior, but had a lot of knowledge. And he used this knowledge to mold Natto into a protector of the saiyans, instead of a hater of his own race. Therefore, he had to tell him all the stories where the saiyans were, somehow, victims of others, and he remembered something about that name. – Zuni Vukong… - he said, while thinking about it, searching in the depths of his memories. Then, he remembered something. – My father told me something about this… A long time ago… I don’t know very well… But I think it was a creature… A spirit or something… That made the saiyans… What was that again… - he closed his eyes, touching both of his temples as he tried to remember something about the story he heard years ago. – Something about kidnapping kids or so… I’m sorry… That’s pretty much all I can remember about this creature… - he sighed and then shrugged.
– Why do you ask? – he asked her, failing to see the point of her asking about some story to scare children. Word Count: 533

"KIDNAPPING CHILDREN?!"
Honestly! The thing people said about you just because you were a demon. It was racism, is what it was. Why in the name of the kais would she ever kidnap children? Saiyan children were precocious little brats at the best of times, she wouldn't want them around - and she'd certainly never dream of eating them like some deluded witch with the universe's worst diet plan. Do you know how many calories there are in a child? She'd be working them off her thighs for decades if she did that!
Zuni's indignant shout is definitely... loud, and then she shakes her head. "Hmph. Your father had some very odd ideas about Zuni Vukong, let me tell you that!"
She leant against the wall to try and help herself calm down, pouting at the ridiculousness of the suggestion. Still, she doesn't let it keep her down for very long - there was still important stuff to be said, after all. She really ought to try and set the record straight.
"Thousands of years ago." She says, "Zuni Vukong tried to free the people of Vegeta from their own hubris. Things were bad back then, and Zuni decided that the only way to do it was to play pranks on saiyans who had gotten themselves too big for their boots - anyone, from the seediest thug to the highest crown in the land, lived knowing that if they ground their fellows into the dirt too much, they'd wake up without eyebrows, or in a tutu, or... her favourite trick of all... with no tail at all."
Zuni's own tail uncoils from her waist at the memory, and she detaches herself from the wall, snickering to herself as she does. She prances away, twirling on the point of her toes as she waves the rock around - although the rock seems to have the good sense to stay silent now. Zuni is having fun, she doesn't need the interruption.
"Naturally, it didn't work out TOO well for Zuni in the long run. The planet blew up, she got killed, yada yada. The important thing here is, Zuni had a dream, a dream of a Vegeta where saiyans were still fight-loving badasses, they just had a sense of humour, and stopped taking everything so darned seriously! It was a good dream."
She sighs, theatrically, and finally turns back towards Natto.
"I think it was one of those stories with a double meaning, you know? But it is kind of nice to think that there might have been someone really tweaking the tail of authority. Some powerful, intelligent, beautiful woman with a great singing voice and wonderful fashion sense, looking down on Vegeta from the moon and wondering how to stop the monkeys hitting each other on the head with rocks. Don't you think?"
This was the real test of course - she's playing her cards almost as openly as she can. Natto seemed like a nice guy - which was rare in saiyans - but was he a nice guy with a sense of humour? Did he have the ... just mildly vicious streak she'd need to really get him in her corner?

The reaction of the janitor hybrid girl was quite intense and Natto didn’t expect any of that. His surprise was etched on his face, and his eyes widened quite a bit. He even took a back step, even though there was not a chance for that girl, even though she was powerful, to be able to seriously harm in a surge of rage. But he flinched anyway. ”W-what was that?!” he couldn’t help but ask himself why would she get so emotional about that statement. Well... She could very well be angry at the creature for doing that, but it didn’t seem that sort of anger, but with the other sentence she spoke, it was pretty clear that what upset her was Douchi’s vision of Zuni Vukong and not the kidnapping children part.
– Sorry about that… That’s just what I remember he told me… - he said apologetically.
As she leaned against a wall, Natto scratched the back of his head, feeling a little embarrassed. He had no fault for believing his father’s story, they all seemed to be pretty true, but he wasn’t the most well-educated man since he was a middle class warrior, therefore he could very well make mistakes, especially when involved ancient pranking creatures or so. What surprise Natto, however, was the fact that the hybrid girl started telling him a story.
The most curious thing was: the moment Natto noticed she was about to tell a story, it was almost like there was a glint in his eyes, and he focused entirely on what she had to say, with a curious feature. Her story was quite interesting, truth be told… She said that the creature, more than a thousand years ago, tried to free people of Planet Vegeta from their hubris. That statement made Natto fold his arms and nod, curious for the rest of the story. The creature had to resort to pranks in order to try and mold the saiyans character, the pranks seemed quite alright, until she spoke about a tail removing part.
– Tail removing?! – there was a large amount of anger in his tone, when he asked that, since he spoke in between gritted teeth with a frowned eyebrows. Natto was very protective of the saiyans tails, and – for him – to remove them was a terrible crime. Almost an unforgivable one. But he was curious for the rest of the story so he tried to control his anger the most he could, in order to be able to listen to what she had to say. ”Forget the tail part, Natto… Chill out…” he told himself.
The girl said that Zuni died when the planet exploded, making Natto sigh, feeling sad with that story. He hated the fact that Vegeta had been destroyed and that was the story that Douchi told him that was one of the pillars in molding him into a saiyan protecting warrior. But one thing she said was nice enough: even though there was this tail part, she wanted to make the saiyans kinder and nicer, and that was a very nice dream, a dream Natto had given up on. Finally when she spoke the last part, with someone living on the moon, trying to find a way for the saiyans to stop fighting each other like fools, he chuckled.
While he chuckled, he shook his head. – That’s a dream I once had too… Hahaha… But… Old monkey don’t learn a new trick. – he said, chuckling a bit more with his stupid sentence, as he sighed, feeling a little sad remembering that the saiyans were too ruthless to the point of being fools from time to time, inclined to commit the same mistakes over and over again.
