I say keep the peaches. Holy water, while almost unused, is a lot more plentiful then peaches, and while the tree of might creates a good pl boost, it would be impossible to plant anywhere without an army attacking.
Besides, such a thing wouldn't be so far fetched

You can't keep something that isn't even in the game at all.

shes a demon. she already gets the special for free. nothing saying she cant teach it to others. kami nor elder guru have schools either. essentially shes only getting the peaches, which being that guru and kami already have equiv i sont see a problem. this could be the "bad guy" holy water/guru power up

There's already two evil power up methods so far, the Tree of Might and Alistair's seal thing. That matches the holy water/Guru power-up, and adding these peaches would sway the balance, if just a bit. If the problem is the lack of Evil power up tools, perhaps we should make a new discussion thread where we hash that out?

Pah, there are a few problems with that..
1) Pieter has become increasingly busy and he hasn't been able to post at all. Ontop of that, he gives away his own power level (i think). 2) The Tree of Might was d- I'm actually not going to go where I was going to go with this. Let's just say I feel it will be a while until it's used.

Yeah, I understand the extremely extenuating circumstances surrounding the power level boosts, which is why I think it should be discussed. Personally, I feel that evil characters are getting extremely shafted right now, and it would make more sense within site mechanics to be a neutral/good character.

i dont think the tree of might is a counter balance at all. after planted, anyone can eat the fruit if they get their hands on it. good person snags it off tree and eats? boom negated. plus the work the bad guy has to put into it is no where near holy water/guru thing. also -they- get to choose whether you get theirs or not. there is no saga, and a bad guy cant steal it. i see the fruit of might being a catch all for everyone really
also these peaches sound a lot like the apples in the series that goku ate and powered up from. that tree was in hfil whefe the bad guys go. it seem logical that a demon could have something similar.

Don't support this for reasons already stated by Hyzoa and Zucc.

I like this idea, honestly. I feel like the bits about the Holy Water and Guru's unlock are a bit hard to argue, because unless I have managed to miss something, we do not in fact have an active Kami, nor a Guru at all. The Tree of Might thing is sort of sketch as well, because it's implied to be evil. A good person could just as easily consume an empty planet, or force an evil species into an exodus with it. I feel like a trickster god would be a cool interpretation of the "Planetary leader" thing. Granted, it would depend somewhat on Zuni being active, but as you'd have to leave Earth, the current "Hub" and head to vegeta, and convince a trickster god, I feel like that's justified.

Actually, just a clarification, we do have a Namekian working towards Guru.

A few quick comments.
1) We need a better term than 'Kami' for this role because that is causing confusion. I think Daimao works - it is the Demon King title that was used by original flavour Piccolo. (Who was also certainly not anywhere near 70k but... meh).
2) Re: Tree of Might. Anything that requires a death enabled thread where the highbies have an immediately justification in killing your ass dead isn't exactly going to get low power players swarming to it. It also slows down your training, because it is a saga. It might be a very cool saga, but a replacement for a low-level power boost it is not.
3) Re: Alaistair. His power boost comes with all sorts of caveats, not least of which is that there's an expectation you'll be serving Alaistair's interests. Zuni's main criteria will be weighted in three categories: how funny she thinks it would be (this is pretty much always a prime consideration), how much trouble she thinks it will cause the Saiyans, and then how much trouble it will cause everyone else in the long run. This means there are far fewer strings attached beyond overcoming whatever bizarre trial or test she feels is appropriate for the individual.
So basically, there's far more chance these peaches would actually be used by low level players over the other two options. This may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your point of view.

It's a shame that there's no canonical equivalent to your role or these 'Peaches' which is why I'm very anti.

Well, the peaches actually do kinda have a basis, upon further investigation. They're just not actually peaches. They're the Ensenji, or King Yemma's Fruit. They only appeared in anime filler, but since our backstory includes stuff like Broly and Cooler, I figure anime filler is totes acceptable. We could just say, when Zuni eventually assembled everything she needs for her 'Dark Lookout', she could plant a seed - stolen from the Oni wardens of Hell. This could then grow into a small Yemma tree, giving her a source of Ensenji Fruit to gift to favoured students. Turns out all the HFIL stuff from anime filler was pretty closely based on oriental ideas of the afterlife, and these Ensenji are based on Peaches of Immortality (from Journey to the West, the inspiration for the first arc of Dragon Ball) I'm still not sure we really need the boost, but canon-wise, it's explicable. If we use that origin for the 'peaches', it would be cool with me.

I'd be happy to do that.
I'm also totally happy to push on without any mechanical advantages to the peaches if this is the only sticking point left that people would be irritated by - after some discussion with Zucceta in the CBox earlier, it seemed like boosts in general were kind of a sticking point.
I intend for her moon palace to have peaches, and these peaches will take a role in her training should people come to her... but they don't need to give a power boost in order to fulfil the same narrative role. Especially since people would still get PL gains from the thread and a +50% from the palace for training there so... it isn't like they get nothing anyway!
