Kayle awakens once again within his little hovel in the Radittsu district. There was very little for him to do today. "It seems to be another one of those dull days.", He thought to himself, rolling over lazily in his small bed. "Maybe ten more minutes, then I might find something to do." Forty minutes later, Kayle finally drug himself out of bed. "I really hate mornings.", he mumbled to himself as he stumbled to his bathroom for his morning routine of personal hygiene.
Feeling a little invigorated by the shower, Kayle exits his washroom, to the small living area and beings to put on his typical blue and black saiyan warrior armor. "What could I do today?", he wondered aloud. "There's a few things I've been needing to do, and have been putting off. Today would be a good day to do it.", he said still musing to himself. Looking over on the counter across the room, he noticed his old busted scouter. He walked over, picking it up and looking at it, "First thing on the list should be to get a new one of these things. This old, broken one is doing me no good. I could use the zeni I gained form that last bout in the wastelands.", He spoke before throwing it into his waste bin. Kayle gathered his small zeni pouch, and headed outside.
As Kayle walked out of his door, he saw exactly what he expected to see. Bright pinkish skies, with people going about their business, setting up their little shops, or what not. Some of them were Saiyans, others were of the various "absorbed" races. The buildings themselves were run down, and some even dilapidated, a clear sign of the slum like style this district was treated as. The buildings got very little repairs beyond what they people here did themselves. "I cannot wait until I am out of this place. I am better than this. I deserve better than this. I'll make it, one day.", Kayle thought to himself as he passed all of this. He was heading toward the far more up kept, and cared about, Cacumber Capital. Where most of the Saiyan higher ups lived and shopped. He had made the mistake of purchasing a scouter from in the Raddittsu district before, not again. Not ever again. They were cheaper, but were also far inferior.
On has way to the capital, he definitely noticed the improvements. The buildings gradually became more up kept, and he saw less and less street and ally vendors. They were replaced by more respectable businesses that used actual buildings themselves, actual stores to be shopped in. Passing the various shops and stores, Kayle kept walking along uninterested, until he came upon the one he was looking for. Finally, Kayle came upon a shop that caught his eye. Kayle looked the store. It looked small from the outside. Perhaps he could get quality for less here? As he walked into the store, he noticed it was far bigger on the inside than it appeared on the outside. It was obviously a combat store based on what he was seeing. It had everything, from the different styles of armor, to energy cannons. On one self were books that spoke about different styles of combat, or historical battles. This was particularly humorous to Kayle, as the Saiyans were not particularly known for doing much reading. Those much be fore the very high up Saiyans, or the races in their auxiliaries. The thought of a low or mid class Saiyan taking to the time to read those was so funny to him, he almost laughed out loud. Continuing on from the books, Kayle continued to search for what he had come in for. He came upon the counter that had the scouters. It was convenient, sense it was close to the cashier. This made sense, given the speed at which his last one had busted. Hopefully this would last longer, especially seeing the whopping 500 zeni price tags. Kayle had learned, however, that you can't skimp out on price. Doing so only got you junk. Browsing the selection available, he was a little disappointed to see the common selection of green, purple, pink, red, visor models. Kayle looked up the the worker behind the counter, "If I am going to pay 500 zeni for this, then I want it to be the one I want. I want it to match my armor here. Black and blue.", He stated. "Let me see what we have in the back." the worker replied with a lackadaisical attitude. While the worker checked in the back, Kayle continued to look around uninterested, becoming lost in his thoughts more than anything. Deep in thought, Kayle was awakened, rather rudely he thought, to a "Hey are you still interested in this?! Are you even listening in there?" Snapping back to his senses, Kayle turned back to the counter. "Do wha...., Yes of course I am you fool. It is what I came in here for, is it not?" He replied. "How the hell should I know what you came in here for, expect me to be reading your mind? Anyway, this is what we got." The worker said handing the scouter over. Kayle took the scouter in hand, having to brush dust off it's surface. It was obviously not the most recent model, but it worked great, even better than the one he had had before it broke. "This is old, you can tell. It even had dust all over it. You expect me to pay full price for this?" Kayle asked. "Look that's what we got for what you asked for, take it or leave it. 500 zeni. We don't barter here. Besides, it may be an older casing, but its been updated with all the modern day programming and circuitry. It may be old, but it's been refurbished to be just like these." Not seeing any point to argue, and seeing that it indeed worked amazing well, Kayle simply replied, "Fine fine. 500 zeni, here you go." As he was walking out the door, Kayle said over his shoulder, "But if this breaks in a week you will be hearing from me again."
"Now, it's time to put this thing to the test.", Kayle thought to himself once he was outside, "I'll head to the combat drone training center. See if it works, and maybe get a little workout in to boot." The combat training center wasn't that far of a walk from where he was. Just a couple a blocks. It took ten minutes tops for him to arrive at the entrance. He looked up at the low hanging arch showing the entrance as he walked through it. Inside, there were many rooms to accommodate those that wished to utilize the training there. Some were bigger than the others. Passing the rooms, and peaking through the windows, Kayle the see some had some pretty intense training going on inside. He kept walking and walking until he found an empty room, the second from the last. "It's pretty crowded here today. They must be training for an up coming fight or something. Invading a new planet perhaps?" He thought to himself once inside. This was a smaller room. Only holding up to 3 droids at a time. Kayle walked over to the computer. "Well might as well use all of them." He thought to himself. As Kayle pushed the buttons on the computer, he heard the droids jump to life with a loud "thrum" like noise. Three remote controlled droids dropped into the room, while a protective shield dropped over the computer control area. Kayle placed his new scouter upon his head, and hit the button to turn it on. The scouter sprang to life, immediately picking up the droids power signatures. "Ah, much better. Now I don't have to rely just one sight and sound anymore. This is fantastic. I had forgotten how much of a boon these things were.", Kayle thought to himself, beginning to grow excited.
The droids then flew at Kayle, who was caught off guard due to being focused on his new scouter. He was only narrowly able to avoid the small robot, oddly due to the scouter pinging and tell him it was flying toward him in the first place. Kayle jumped out of the way, and fired a ki blast at the robot, which is effortlessly dodged. The other two shot energy blasts of their own, both of which Kayle deflected into the wall, again thanks to his scouters warning systems. "Man, I had really forgotten how much good these things did!" Just then, Kayle flew at one of them and caught it with his hands, ripping it apart. "Well that's one down." Kayle thought to himself. Then, *SLAM* right into the wall as one of the other small droids smashed into him as hard as it could. "Man these things can get kinda fast." He thought to himself. The other little droid thing charged an energy blast and sent it straight to him. Kayle deflected this as well, knowing the droids were no match for him, unless they got a surprise hit in somewhere. The other small battle droid fired its own energy blast, with Kayle catching it this time rather than deflecting it. He used his own Ki to contain the energy of the blast. He then redirected it toward the other battle bot. It attempted to dodge, but it caught the left side of it, taking it out of commission. There was only one left. It would be easy to deal with.
Kayle decided to play with the last small battle droid for a little bit. Letting his new scouter track it's movements and attacks. Every attack, every energy blast, every single attempt to get Kayle failed. This battle bot was next to useless on its own. Despite its desperate attempts, it couldn't even phase him. Kayle soon grew bored of playing with the battle droid. "Ok it's time now. Come here you useless pile of junk." Kayle said as he charged toward the little robot, grabbing the thing and attempting to rip in two like the first. However, unlike the first time, the robot was waiting for it. Just as Kayle grabbed it, it let out a massive charged energy blast, sending Kayle sprawling in the air. "Hoooo.., I so was not expecting that, but you'll have to do better to do any real damage, little robot." Kayle mentioned mockingly. He then shot ki blasts over and over and over, all over the place. The robot would inevitably be hit. Kayle was done. Bored. Of course the small combat droid was no more. The shield protecting the computer raised, showing that the scenario was done. "I think that's enough. I've seen that it works." Kayle said to himself as he exited the room.
Kayle walked past the rooms again. They were still at it. They were still fighting and training, causing Kayle to wonder what exactly they were training so hard for. Even Saiyans didn't normally train nonstop like this. Rather than bother the ones training, as even Kayle new better than to interrupt a Saiyan while he was training, he simply walked out of the exit, seeing that small arch again. "I suppose that we will all find out sooner or later. I've got more pressing matters on my hands however. Like trying to find work. I could easily be on one of those squads that go to arbitrary planets to destroy or enslave or whatever they do, but I'm better than that. Strong than that. There has got to be a way for me to get a better gig." Kayle thought to himself as he left the training area.
On his way out, he noticed that things were much different. He hadn't spent that much time in the chamber. It was obvious he might have just been kicked out anyway, what with all the training going on in there. The curiosity of what they were training for was still on his mind, but he let it rest for now. It was time for him to find out what his next mission would be. It was time for him to find out what he would do with his life. Be relinquished to a life of a common soldier, or would he continue to fight for a chance for something more? He could always pursue the life of a scientist as well, with his vast knowledge of molecular science, but this was just a side passion. Kayle just pondered on what was going to happen next as he walked around the city.
