Kayle awoke groggy eyed as his preset alarm began blaring loudly. As he opened his eyes, he noticed that the sun had not even risen yet. "Damn. What did I set the alarm so early?" He asked barely conscious, as he hit the delay button. He knew the answer very well. Kayle was never good at getting up from sleep, and always hit the delay unless it was absolutely important. He would hit it two more times before he finally drug himself out of bed. The sun was just starting to peak over the horizon, barely letting any of its light through. Kayle walked, very heavy footed over to the shower, as he began to remove his cloths.
As the shower went on, Kayle was growing more awake, more excited. After his fight before, he had decided he needed to become even stronger. Fighting simple robots and droids would not help this. To get stronger, he would have to fight real living things. Most people on Vegeta go to the sparring arena for this, Kayle knew. This, however, was not good enough for him. No, he needed more. As he finished his shower, he knew what he needed. He needed to fight for real, with the possibility for death, even if it was extremely unlikely. There was a bounty on Saiba seeds. The saiyans used them to train. Kayle had decided to hunt them in the wastelands. He figured that fighting them would be good training, obviously as the Saiyans used them purposefully, and if he could get the seeds, maybe make a little profit. Yes, they had their own genetically modified saibas, but new genetic material was always good. He knew that higher level saiyans hated to go out and get it, thinking it was beneath them, so why not kill two birds with one stone?
Kayle began drying off, and began to exit his bathroom. In the living area he stretched out his still tight muscles, in preparation for what was to come. He took the longest stretching out the legs. Oh, how he hated stretching his legs. He hated the last one most of all. He laid flat on the floor, and propped one of his legs up on a table, pushing the leg further and further, until he thought the pain was unbearable. He really hated stretching his legs. He knew that if he didn't though, that events would be worse later. Kayle finished his stretching. He slowly climbed to his feet and sat in a chair near the table. "Today is going to be interesting." He thought to himself. He sat there for a little while longer, taking in the early morning air. After those long moments, he pulled himself from the chair and began to don his saiyan battle armor. First, he put on the pitch black, tight pants that went with the armor, and then his blue and black boots. After this came the blue and black gloves. Then came his chest armor. The armor was blue and black, like the rest, and had two leg guards going down his outer legs. It had no shoulder pads or front crouch guard.
Kayle opened the door to his small hovel down in the Radittsu District. Taking in the sights of the early morning, he saw what was a common sight. The sun peaking over the buildings, people opening windows, beginning to wake up, and a few even moving about outside already. He smelled the common smells of saiyans making their morning meal, and yes even the distinct smells of the Radittsu. Kayle began to rise into the air effortlessly, beginning to hover. He rose higher and higher, above the people, above the shops, above the buildings. Kayle began to look around, "Now where is the best way to get to the wastelands?" He thought to himself. Kayle knew that the wastelands were southeast of his location, and becoming a little impatient, he flew directly toward that area.
As Kayle flew further and further away from the capital and its outlying districts and towns, he watched as the land quickly transformed into a desolate wasteland. "This should be far enough away." He thought to himself. "Now, how do I find these pesky things?" Still hovering, Kayle began to survey the area. It looked just as it's name would imply it would, a vast, open area of bleak nothingness but rocks, crags, sand, and the like. As the morning wore on, Kayle could feel the temperature steadily rising. "Maybe they only come out at night so as to avoid this heat." he thought as he wiped the sweat from his brow. Kayle lowered himself to the ground, and began to slowly search the rocks in the area. After hours of searching, he came upon a cave. It was dark, damp, and cool. "This might be a place they are hiding." Kayle slowly began to enter the cave. The cave was deep, and the humidity hung in the air. Obviously, being plant based creatures but carnivorous creatures, this would be a good place to hide. The moisture was good for growing from their seed from, and their prey might enter to take refuge during the day. Hide and ambush. It was probably the only thing their feeble minds could come up with, without taking orders from an actual sentient being.
As he went deeper, the blackness started to take over. He could hear scurrying around him. It was very hard to see. The scurrying became fainter and fainter. Kayle berated himself, "Kayle you fool, you forgot to bring alight source! Of course, I didn't expect to be climbing through caves I suppose. Note to self: even if you don't think you need it, bring it next time." He began to charge a small orb of blue ki into his hand, to use as a source of light. Just as the luminous Ki burst into being, a small saibaman leaped out at him, claws at the ready. "Kkiiiiii!!!!" He heard it scream. Kayle was able to dodge out of the way of that one, as two more came to join the fray, being drawn in by their comrades scream. "Well it's obvious they aren't that strong, but this should be entertaining at the very least." Kayle said aloud. "Perhaps I shouldn't kill them out right. Have a little fun first, yes? The Saibamen darted in and out after Kayle, who effortlessly dodged their attacks. He knew, however, that he would need to draw them out. They were a lot smaller than him, and because of that they had the advantage here. They would catch him eventually. "Come and get me, you puny little weaklings. This way, yes, yes, follow me." Kayle taunted as he lured them nearer the entrance. Before they got out, one of them split its own head open and spit acid at him. The acid sped toward Kayle, barely grazing his arm. "Yow, that's smart! I forgot they could do that!" he exclaimed still luring them further and further toward the entrance, "Just a little further." "KIIII!!!" one of them exclaimed, as it slammed right into Kayle, bouncing him off the ground and snuffing out his luminous Ki. "Kikikikiki.." the other two laughed. Fortunately for Kayle, it was close enough to the entrance that some day light still showed. It was late afternoon, possibly evening, he could tell. "Alright, it's time to end this. I am growing bored." As one of the Saibamen charged at him, he quickly moved behind it and blasted in with a ki wave, which sent the creature flying out of the cave, a hole in it's chest. The other two, seeing this, decided to shoot more acid his way. "Such simple creatures." He thought as he, yet again moved out of way of their attack, coming up right on top of them. "Now feel the sting of my Photonic Burst!" He yelled as blue electro energized ki energy burst all around him, blowing the saibamen into the wall. He watched as the two slid down the walls, their corpses sizzling as they hit the ground.
Kayle approached the corpses, and began to dig around, looking for where ever these, plant things, kept their seeds. He searched everywhere for these seeds, cutting into every area imaginable. He finally found them, though only a total of seven seeds between the saibamen were still viable. Back in the darkness of the cave, there was more stirring. Bigger, more cunning, and powerful stirring. Kayle was to busy searching and pocketing the seeds to notice. He had just got done searching the last one, the one outside, and pocketed the seeds, when a huge slithering beast came from within the cave and slammed him from behind with his tail. Kayle slammed into the ground, hard, and slid for several feet before slamming into a rock. "The hell was that?" he said as he pulled himself from the ground. He barely had time to refocus, as he saw the large creature slamming him into the ground again, this time straight down. The creature was right over him. As Kayle opened his eyes, and gazed upon what was attacking him, his eyes grew wide. It was a snake like creature with a saibaman head! "The hell is that thing?! Some kind of saiba... siabasnake?! Those freakin' exist?!" He shouted at the thing directly above him. The saibasnake opened his head preparing to shoot it's tale tell acid like the others. Kayle knew what was coming. He quickly pushed himself out of the way, before a river of acid, far more than the typical saibaman could muster, poured onto the ground. Droplets of it splashed onto his shoulder and arm, burning it intensely. "Holy freakin' hell that hurt. If that was a direct hit, that would have eaten me completely I bet!" He observed, breathing hard having narrowly escaped that with his life. "This guy might be dangerous. Great, time for a real challenge!" Kayle leaped into the air, as the saibasnake spit its acid one more time. Flying up past the stream of acid, Kayle shot an energy wave at the snake like creature. The energy wave, hitting its mark, exploded on impact. Smoke from the explosion blew everywhere. The creature flew toward Kayle from the smoke, mouth open wide in and attempt to devour him. Being caught off guard, Kayle didn't have time to react. Luckily for him, the rock that he slammed into before was still behind him. The saibasnake sailed mouth open wide, around Kayle, and head first right into the rock. Kayle let out another Photonic Burst, blowing the creatures head apart, and then slowly slid down the rock as the saibasnakes body collapsed on the ground beside him. "Man, I hope I don't see another one of those." Kayle spoke in between deep breaths. "I need to calm my nerves a bit before I head back. There's no reason to check that snake thing for seeds either, if it even has seeds. I mean it's head was the same as the saibamen, a bit bigger, but just about the same. I wonder if they use seeds too? I doesn't matter. I blew it's head apart, which is where I found the seeds in the saibamen. It's time to head back anyhow."
Kayle flew back far more slowly than he flew out there. He watched as the sun set on the horizon. The area slowly changing from a desolate wasteland, to a vibrant, if overpopulated, metropolis. As he returned to the Radittsu district, he turned back and looked in the direction of the wastelands one more time. "Man what a day that was." He thought silently as he turned and went to his little hovel of a living area. Once inside, he collapsed in his chair, and began to remove the tight saiyan combat armor." I had better get these in to the geneticists. I'm sure they would love to tinker with the DNA of these. I should probably tell them about that saibasnake thing too." Kayle changed into more comfortable clothing, placed the seeds in two different vials with green liquid at the bottom. Five seeds in one, and two in the other. "I'll keep a couple for myself. Never know when they might come in handy." He then left his little hovel for the city proper, intent to sell the five of the seeds for the reward money.
((Note: If there is anyone on Vegeta who reads this and wants to RP feel free to hit me up via a thread or PM. I'd hate to have to go to Earth just for RPs sake. I don't see a reason for Kayle to be there right now, so in my eyes that would be metagaming. Also, any tips thrown out to help me improve my writing would be great. I'm brand new to the writing thing and was never good at it in school.))
