[Medium Weights On]
“Tsch.. Corazon, it seems like they’ve got another strong fighter on their hands…” Long, black, musky hair flowed down the muscular humanoid’s back, his tail softly wrapping around his waist. He clenched his fist, gazing down towards the village that was Shutsumotsu. He adjusted his scouter, the mechanical eye-patch like device reading various power levels out loud. “4,000.. 2,000.. 3,580… Their power levels are pitiful, and those are just the warriors. The only one who actually poses a threat to us is the ass they call Gnoral, but you can beat him, right Corazon?” The burly Saiyan peered backwards into the cave. Light from their small campfire flickered, lashing up at the face of a slightly smaller, yet vascular Saiyan. His hands were crossed, covering his mouth as he stared into the licking blaze below, a red scouter covering his right eye. A small, x-shaped scar plastered across his left cheek showed that he had been in a few scraps in his life. “Not right now, Cado. Taro has yet to return. We’re not going to deprive our brethren of the honor of destroying a village full of filthy Namekians. If he becomes too much of a burden, we’ll remove him from the equation.” Cado, the much bulkier of the two, nodded his burly head, turning his attention back down towards the village.
“Darnit… I lost my way again.. Where the heck am I?!” Ryo had been flying for around two hours now. After emerging from between the two mountains, the ‘island’ had revealed itself to be much larger than he had previously anticipated. It turned out to be a massive range of mountains, surrounded by a ‘sea’ of icy trees. As he made his way across the expansive woodland below, the other side was encompassed by another, similar plethora of mountains. He only assumed that this was where the infamous ‘Ridgeback Cave’ was located. “I sure hope it’s over here… if it isn’t… maannn.. I’m gonna be reaaal hungry.” The ground looked like a blur as he sped past it. Every little thing you got to notice and see on foot went by idly when flying through the air. It was a shame, really. But he didn’t have time right now. His job was to head to Ridgeback Cave, get the herbs, and their precious clan member.
As Ryo glided through the air at a relatively steady pace, something went wrong. Terribly wrong. The mountainside on the far right side of the island exploded in a violent flash of light. Various flocks of birds darted from that direction, along with a stampede of gigantic dinosaurs that trampled the forest below. “What the hell?” A loud, agonizing scream emitted from that direction. It was deep, and raspy. Whoever it was, they were going through a hell of a lot of pain right now. Not something Ryo himself could pass up. He turned himself around, flying towards the ravaged area. Whatever the hell it was, it couldn’t be good. At the very least, it’d of been some guy who was training against dinosaurs and got himself hurt. As he came into view of the situation, it was completely different that what he was imagining.. there were TWO individuals in the area below. Maybe those two were just training? Some harsh ass training though, seeing as the.. Namekian below was covered in blood. His leg looked to be broken out of place, his shin bone shredding the skin where his triceps should be. Ryo lowered himself on the sidelines. The other person was standing tall, cascaded in purple blood, (Presumably the Namekians), encased in what seemed to be some type of elite armour. “Woah, woah.. guys. Do you really need to be breaking eachothers bodies? I mean, I push my body past it’s limits.. but not like this. This is messed up. Maybe a break is in order?” The man in the armour had a flickering brown tail that lashed out at Ryo. He was a Saiyan..? Why were all of these guys so brutal? His lips were contorted into a sinister smile, a purple liquid trickling down the corner of his mouth. One of his eyes were shielded in an odd device, with a vibrant green plastic screen covering his eye. He turned his attention to Ryo, smiling as a red ball of ki illuminated his hand. “More fun! Bwaaahaaha!”
In an instant, the Saiyan fired off his sphere of ki, blasting it right towards Ryo. “Woah, woah!” Before the attack could have even came close to touching the human, he swatted it away like a fly, snap vanishing in between the two. “Dude! I’m not here to fight you!” The device upon the Saiyan’s eye began beeping loudly, yellow symbols flashing across the screen. Ryo’s expression was a mix of amusement and perplexity. It looked like a toy. A toy he wanted to play with. “That’s a pretty cool toy! Where can I get one of those?!” “It’s not a toy, you dirt mongrel!” The Saiyan lashed out with an intense anger, red aura surging around his body. Of course… he had to be rude. Were all Saiyans this way? Ryo honestly didn’t have time for this. The Namekian behind him, and the one back in the cave were seriously injured, bordering on dead. The Saiyan launched forward, throwing his leg swiftly out to connect with Ryo’s head. Ryo allowed his forearm to take the brunt of the hit, all the while hitting the Saiyan in the abdomen with a well calculated knee. He knee sank into the armour as if it were a trampoline of sorts, bouncing the Saiyan off and through the woods several yards behind him. “Damn! What are these Saiyan’s problems?! I never did anything wrong do him!” He quickly turned his attention back to the injured Namekian. He appeared to be still breathing. “Hey! Are you ok? Hold on, I’m gonna get you some help!” The Namekian’s eyes slowly lurched around their sockets, falling upon Ryo himself. “T-Thank you… “ Ryo knelt down in order to assist the green warrior, but before he could descend any further, a red blast of energy hit him in the back, knocking him into the mountainside.
“You might have caught me off guard, but you didn’t defeat me! That’s the problem with you humans, you celebrate your ‘victories’ without making sure your opponent’s are PULVERISED!” Ryo lifted himself from the miniscule crater that he created, brushing a bit of dirt from his shoulder. “You need to fire stronger blasts than that if you wanna beat me!” Ryo’s body burst forth from the rocks with a flash of purple light. His left forearm clashed with the Saiyan’s, in turn, creating a massive shockwave that shattered the surrounding ice. “Heheh! I’m not even using my full power yet! Are you really that weak?!” The Saiyan jumped back into the air, his face a mixture of horror and disbelief. “You.. You’re not fighting at your strongest..? You’re bluffing! “ Ryo pinched his weighted vest, jingling it around so that the Saiyan actually knew what was going on. “Weighted clothing..? Wha-... No! No! You’re not stronger than me! Take that off and I’ll prove it, you low life scum!” “I can’t! It wouldn’t be a fair fight then! I want you to at least have a LITTLE bit of a chance..” The Saiyan stomped his feet angrily, gasping at the fact that a low-life human would talk to someone of his caliber. Both combatants charged forward, clashing in a flurry of punches and kicks. During their struggle against one another, they both unknowingly ascended into the air. The broken Namekian on the ground peered up at them through rivers of purple blood. “He’s strong… He may have even surpassed Gnoral by now… Thank you, warrior…” The green fighter’s thoughts were interrupted by the evident sound of earth crashing around his body. The Saiyan, (Presumably Taro) rose from a small crater, wiping the red crimson liquid from his lips. Ryo floated triumphantly above him, hands on his hips like a pure superhero. “Take that evil doer! Heheh… wasn’t that pretty good?” This made Taro’s blood boil. He was not only being talked down to by a human, but he was being DOMINATED by a human. A human who wasn’t even fighting at full power. If his comrades, or even his family were to see his weak display of power, he’d be executed on the spot. He was one of the greatest Saiyan warriors from Planet Vegeta, third to his two brethren located elsewhere on the island. This human seemed like a god in comparison to his own power. “I’m tired of you! Die!” Both of his hands filled with a malicious red aura as the Saiyan prepared his attack. Ryo hovered in the same spot, placing his hands in his pockets. “Give me your best shot.” In a flash, the Saiyan bombarded Ryo with a brigade of red ki blasts. As if they were flying as slow as a feather falls, Ryo snap vanished between every single one of them, evading the Saiyan’s rage-filled blast-volley.
“C’mon, can’t you do better than that?” Ryo mocked the pure-blooded Saiyan as he effortlessly bobbed and weaved in between the various blasts of energy. Growing tired of his little game, he appeared in front of Tarro, slamming his left elbow into the neck of the Saiyan. The bones crunching underneath his strike were more than enough to put the Saiyan into the ground. “We don’t have to do this, y’know. You can just stop what you’re doing, and the Namekians back at the village will heal-” A small beam of energy pierced through the right side of Ryo’s abdomen. “Gngh….” A small stream of blood oozed from between his teeth. Tarro stood from his hole, struggling to remain on his feet. His armour had been shattered and broken beyond repair, but his pride was still in tact. He managed to blast a hole through the human who, moments before, was completely dominating him. “Not so tough now, are you?! I told you, you were going to die! You may have played some fancy tricks up until now… but you’re done. Never underestimate a Saiyan.” He approached the now stunned Ryo, wrapping his hand around the human’s throat. Ryo’s arm hung loosely by his side, one of his hands barely able to cover the prominent hole through his stomach. Tarro held his free hand in front of Ryo’s chest, charging up a red sphere of ki. Ryo’s blood stained lips cracked into a vibrant smile. “Why the hell are you smiling?! You’re about to die, and you’re SMILING?!” Ryo’s right hand clasped itself around the Saiyan’s, removing his grip on the human’s throat with relative ease. “Tsch, you think something like this would kill me..? “ He gathered the remaining blood in his mouth, spitting it to the ground. “ A wound that’d make an ordinary man unconscious… A wound that’d kill an ordinary person.. I won’t lose to it! To become a Legend.. to become one that is beyond extraordinary… I CAN’T ALLOW MYSELF TO BE ORDINARY! “ His right hand succumed with a blue sphere of energy. It spiralled into his palm. taking over his entire hand. “Nova Star…” “No! Don’t! Please… I’m sorry! I’ll leave this place, I promise! DON’T!” In an instant, a white-ish blue orb of ki blasted right through the Saiyan’s gut. He froze in place, his muscles, organs, anything in the path of the Nova Star had been completely vaporized. His eyes faded into a pale grey color, the life seemingly drained out. His body fell limp to the frigid grass below. “I’m sorry dude..” Ryo staggered towards the Namekian, resting beside him. “What a fight, huh?” The Namekian chuckled, holding his hand out for Ryo to shake, albeit his decimated condition. “My name is Sopra.. it is nice to meet you, Human. I need to thank you for saving me.. At least from a slow and painful death.” “Sopra.. huh? Cool name! I’m Ryo! I was heading towards Ridgeback Cave in search of a lost Namekian..Ghnn.. He supposedly went there and hasn’t come back..” Ryo held his abdomen tightly. The hole in his stomach hurt, but it definitely wasn’t something that could keep him down for good. “Fate has sent you here.. I am the lost Namekian you seek. I was held up in the cave by an evident cave-in.. When I finally made my way out.. I was ambushed by this Saiyan…” He slowly reached for a hide-strapped bag to his left, hoisting it on top of his body. “These are the herbs you seek…” Ryo’s face lit up in joy. This was a bit easier than he had previously anticipated.
“Sweet! I’ve gotta get you both back to the village now!” “Ryo-San… No. I’m as good as dead. Take the herbs and return to the village as soon as possible… The Saiyan… he’s not alone.” Not alone..? He did mention something about comrades.. but.. they’re really here on the island? “I can’t just leave you here to die Soap opera! Here… I’ve got something that can heal you right up. I don’t need it right now.. eat it!” Ryo reached into the depths of his pocket, retrieving his beloved Senzu Bean that he had kept in case of an emergency. He lowered it to the Namekian’s mouth, slowly dropping it in. Sopra didn’t have much of a choice, seeing as he could barely move. He smashed the bean between his teeth, his body filling with life energy. His leg seemingly fixed itself, and the bruises disappeared. He sat up, energized to the max. “Thank you, Human. In return, I can use some of these herbs to patch up your wound. It does not have the same effects as the vegetable you bestowed upon me… But it will be enough for you to get back on your feet.” “Thanks Soap Opera!”
“Alright Cado, it’s time to move. Tarro isn’t coming back. Fool probably got himself mixed up in Namekian affairs. Let’s go.” The small-statured Saiyan rose from the musty rock he was seated upon, marching with his over-sized brethren towards the cave’s opening. “ Are you sure we’ll be able to take on that big green one? “ He wrapped his gigantic hand around the edge of the cave, peering down towards the small village below. “We’ll be fine. Together, no one can stop us. We didn’t need Tarro anyways. He should be ashamed that he let us down, after we were willing to wait so long. “ Both of the Saiyans imbued their bodies with yellow aura, descending from the cave above. Their lips were twisted into a heinous grin, both of them intent on absolutely destroying the small Namekian settlement. Ryo and his Namekian companion Soap Opera flew towards the village with haste. They knew what was to come if they didn’t arrive fast. The village would fall.
“Tsch.. Corazon, it seems like they’ve got another strong fighter on their hands…” Long, black, musky hair flowed down the muscular humanoid’s back, his tail softly wrapping around his waist.
