The city was a cancer upon the human race, of that Pah'mazhan was certain. 'Advanced civilization' has led to human stagnation, something that the bio-android simply cannot stand. Being born out of necessity, things such as leisure time and boredom are foreign to him. Why would someone choose to let their life pass them by without fighting for the life they've been given? The more Pah'mazhan thought about it, the more it just made him sick. He had to fight alongside Kouda. The Ee's have the right side of things, they always have. It's a shame that they didn't stay as overlords of Earth. Letting these inferior life-forms rule whilst unenlightened was a mistake. The silent whispers of errant technology and the energized motion of the city-dwellers proved to make the bio-android’s head hurt. He had to leave the city. He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Using his bukujutsu advanced flying technique, Pah’mazhan flew out of the city and chose a direction at random. Kouda’s mission was clear, and he planned on continuing his search. Flying through the air until his mind was at ease, he finally landed down on a large grassland, seemingly devoid of civilization. Finally, Pah’mazhan thought, peace and quiet. Walking through the outskirts of an unknown plain, Pah'mazhan grew disgusted with the customs of the humans here. When will someone prove to me their worth?
The area was stretched long ahead of him, and he could see the sun rising in the distance. His search for ship repair parts has led him here, to this barren plain. Kouda’s sensors have pointed out derelict ships on Earth, and luckily enough there was one within flying distance from the doctor’s own broken down aircraft. Figuring this to be as good a time as any to attempt to find more parts, Pah’mazhan was determined to help get the ship in working order. With a growing amount of recruits in the Red Eclipse, the bio-android was certain that there would be an increased need for space travel, especially if other planets were to be tapped for potential. Earth was a stagnate planet indeed, but from what Pah’mazhan had seen, there were many examples of diamonds in the rough. Donatsu, someone that Kouda has referred to as an anomaly. Pah’mazhan hasn’t met this human yet, but he was personally responsible for bringing Abraxos onboard.
This gambler had something that the rest of the humans on this planet, as far as Pah’mazhan saw based on his scouting, did not. A bit of luck, yes, but this little extra had proven to very valuable indeed. Yes, there is something different about this person, but what exactly is yet to be determined. These next few weeks will be interesting to say the least. He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Continuing his walk, a large, impressive-looking crater slowly came into view. From what little history Pah’mazhan was able to gain from eavesdropping on other people throughout the city, he was able to ascertain that something destroyed a good portion of a town known as “Jingle Villiage”. Was someone able to hide a ship here? And more importantly, why was it left abandoned for so long? From what Kouda told the bio-android, there hasn’t been any heat signatures leaving that place in quite some time. His curiosity was definitely piqued, so Pah’mazhan continued his trek toward the remains of this sad little town.

The skies were clear and the wind was cool as it ran through Meril's fur as she flew using her bukujutsu abilities. She was on her way back to her hometown for the first time in almost seventeen years. She was anxious. After all, her family lived there and she had learned many lessons after she left her home. She missed them, and although she had not turned out to be the best cat she was still able to survive doing something she loved. Maybe I'll stay for a while if things go well, she thought. Meril was tired from her last fight and needed rest.
Just over the hill, I'm almost there, Meril thought to herself. Beyond the hill there was supposed to be a clearing leading to her village, but it instead was replaced by a gargantuan crater. Meril landed on top of the hill and looked on as the place where she grew up and once lived in disappeared before her eyes. Tiny landmarks that served as reminders of where she came from, where now nothing but rubble. Meril went through so many emotions, the happiness of being able to see her family again faded away into sadness. That sadness turned to grief as Meril now realized that not only her family, but her gang had probably also perished in the blast. Meril took off the red bandana that she had been wearing for years, the bandana that symbolized her role as the leader. That was gone now, she'd never be able to go back to that. She looked at it, it was crimson red. Meril's grief turned to anger as she saw the tears, that came from her own eyes, fall onto the bandana. She lifted the bandana towards her forehead and tied it back onto the place where it had been for years.
Meril was confused. How could this have happened? Who did this? Why here, she thought. Meril made her way down to the ruins that used to be her home. Meril suddenly felt a sense of mortality as she walked across the debris. The air felt dry and wind was picking up again blowing dirt and other undesirable things in Meril's face. She made her way to the center of the blast passing old memories along the way, her old school, her parent's house, her favorite childhood candy store, and her gangs hangout. Once she got to middle of the crater, she saw nothing there. Meril's face tightened up as her she screamed. How is there nothing here? Who could've caused this much damage, she thought.
Meril used her bukujutsu abilities to fly up into the air and search her surroundings for any sign of a ship. That son of a bitch couldn't have gotten far, she thought. Meril was fueled by the rage in her heart. She flew around the perimeter of the village until she saw an armored man walking up to the crater. Meril swooped down to meet the man face to face, all the while screaming at the top of her lungs, "Who do you think you are!"

This place was eerily silent, save for the screams that were unexpected from the bio-android. Upon reaching the crater, Pah'mazhan was able to quickly analyze that the village was completely destroyed with little more than rubble remaining. What happened here? Whoever did this is extremely powerful... Looking around himself, Pah'mazhan was able to obtain a location of the source of the noise, but before he could make his way to the source he was interrupted by a cat flying straight toward him, yelling at him. This human zoanthrope looked extremely bent out of shape, and from what the bio-android was able to ascertain, she was mad at him. Does she think I did this? "Halt, feline," the bio-android said. "I'm a foreigner to this place, and I came here in order to obtain parts for a new ship. My search has led me here. I do not know what happened here, as I can assume you think I do, so I cannot help you." Crouching down to examine the crater more, he noticed that the scorch marks that plastered the earth were hard and deeply ingrained, cool to the touch. Picking up a handful of loose dirt and allowing it to slip through his fingers like sand at a beach, he stood back up and turned to the human that joined him. "Whatever did this is more powerful than anyone I've met yet." This feisty zoanthrope carried herself differently than how he was used to seeing others of her kind. Very interesting. Could she be useful to the cause?
"Tell me, zoanthrope," Pah'mazhan said, as he got into a fighting stance. Planting his feet firmly in the ground, the bio-android pulled his plasma sword out of its sheathe. Flicking his wrist and grinning, he activated the sword and got into a defensive stance. "What would you do to me if I did destroy your village? Did you have friends here, a family even?" He needed to reach this person, he needed to evoke a physical reaction. This person seemed like a very powerful ally, if he was only able to focus it... Pah'mazhan planned to test her, and he was certain that this would be a very interesting battle, indeed. "Come on, then. Hit me with all you've got!"

Meril's whiskers twitched uncontrollably, she was angry but she knew better than to just pounce on this stranger. How powerful can this guy be? He's not a big guy. How much damage can he really do? This armored man was pushing her limits and Meril had ran out of patience. "I don't think you truly understand what you've just asked for buddy and by the way, the name's Meril," she shouted.
Meril had this overwhelming feeling taking over her mind. Meril had never really felt the need to avenge anything but here she was, preparing to fight this man that she was sure was responsible for her family's death. After Meril left her home she was sure that she wasn't going to come back but she was young and she was stubborn, if she was going to learn anything it'd be the hard way. As young cat traveling the world, Meril had gotten just enough for herself and soon after she had started getting homesick, but she was resolute in not coming back. Her family had never approved of her actions but she was still treated as any other member of the family. Even then, Meril didn't thing she deserved to be treated so well by her family. She was making a living but she wasn't the best and if she was going to do something she was going to be the best. Now that she had become such a skilled criminal and fighter, Meril was going to come back to her family and share her stories and experiences, at least the good ones. But she came too late and it was because of this man. She more than determined to get revenge.
This anger fueled her already overpowering will to fight, but she felt ashamed somehow. She didn't want to fight there, right on her family's grave, but her urge to fight won. Everywhere Meril looked she saw something that reminded her of the past and she wanted to keep those memories pure but there was no time and she wasn't going to let this guy get away. There's time to apologize later. "So, do I get pleasure of knowing the name of the killer of my family," she asked. Meril, now blinded by rage, jumped toward her foe attempting to kick the man's plasma sword out of his hand and land a few punches into his chest. This guy's got metal on him too, so I need to be careful where I hit him.

Watching the visage on this cat begin to contort, Pah'mazhan grinned. Perfect. This will be a good indicator of power. Listening to the feline zoanthrope named Meril speak, the bio-android nodded and said, "You may. My name is Pah'mazhan, and I am the creation of Doctor Kouda. We are looking for-" Interrupted by a surprise attack from his rather new acquaintance, a fist struck out, successfully knocking his plasma sword out of his hand. She proceeded to punch at his chest, but his unnatural toughness combined with his expectation to be attacked proved useful as he blocked her blows, using the outside length of his arms to deflect her punches. Damn, she's more powerful than I thought. Pah'mazhan was not expecting to be disarmed. Fortunately for him, Kouda trained the bio-android in hand to hand techniques as well. He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Pah'mazhan was ready. Prepared for the attacks aimed at his chest, he waited for an opening and then proceeded to counterattack with a punch to her head, followed by a low sweep with his legs. The intention is to trip her up and get her on the ground. If successful, his next move would be to run for his sword and to pick it up, but if he failed in tripping her, he would get into a defensive stance and await the next few blows. Pah'mazhan was sure that the next few minutes would be decisive. If he were to lose, Meril would surely have her way with him, and that was surely going against the orders of Doctor Kouda. The good doctor would be furious upon learning that his bodyguard was destroyed by a mere housecat.
"As I was saying," Pah'mazhan grunted, "We're looking for someone strong, and it would seem that you fit the bill."

Meril had barely listened to Pah'mazhan's introduction as she was focusing all of her strength and speed into punching her opponent. As Meril's punches flew and were repeatedly blocked she could only watch in awe. There's no way this guy is blocking me, I'm going as fast as I can. Distracted in with her thoughts, Meril didn't see the fist headed towards her, clashing into the right side of her head. Meril, now alert, jumped back to avoid Pah'mazhan's low sweep. "You're pretty fast, you should tell me where you get your gear, maybe I'll stop by and get suited up," Meril quipped. She knew if she was going to have any chance of pummeling this guy she had to get to his head and mess with him. I've gotta get him off of his game... I've got it. Meril began to concentrate. If she was going to do this, she was going to do this right. She felt her paws begin to tingle as she focused her energy more and more. Alright, now for a little show. "Okay tell ya what. Since you're so fast how about you show me how fast you really are. Catch me if you can," she shouted as she used her bukujutsu abilities to rocket herself into the air. Now just put on a show until you can hit him with all you've got, Meril thought. She was charging up a Renzoku Energy Dan attack, if she could keep Pah'mazhan distracted long enough. I only need a minute.

Smirking, Pah'mazhan could tell that his ability to block Meril's attacks were new to her. This fighter was obviously not used to fighting people on her level. Confusion took hold of her face and inevitably, as the bio-android expected, turned to anger quickly. She spoke about getting gear that matched his own, which made Pah'mazhan laugh. It sounded forced, but this was far and away better than how he used to laugh. It seemed the human language was growing on him. "My friend, you can't find equipment like mine. It was constructed uniquely by Doctor Kouda. He's looking for new members of our organization, and you seem strong enough to get in. I'm not responsible for your family's deaths, but I can promise you that we will help you get revenge on those who are."
Suddenly, Meril blasted off into the sky, seemingly trying to escape the bio-android. He could see something interesting happening, too. Something in her paws were glowing... No! He saw the same technique used by the trickster Komoto. His attack was powerful enough, but he never charged his up... I need to interrupt that channeling. She has the power of flight too. Interesting... This crazy cat is full of surprises. Using his own bukujutsu powers, Pah'mazhan sped toward his sword and did a tumble, reaching for it and picking it up. His tumble ending in a crouch, the bio-android aimed at Meril and shot off into the sky to chase his opponent. Once again armed, Pah'mazhan charged at Meril with his sword raised. However, the bio-android that Meril would see in front of her would only be an illusion. Using his advanced zanzoken technique, Pah'mazhan flew around behind her and charged upward, slashing with his sword with broad strikes. He was striking not to kill, but to simply render her incapable of fighting, and to hopefully interrupt her charging. Komoto's powerful blasts were something to be feared, but this would probably prove to be more difficult to handle. After his combo of slashes subsided, Pah'mazhan would say, "I think our fighting session is finished, you've proved more than capable. The people you're used to fighting are beneath you. Where is the honor in that? How would you like to join the real world?" He was determined to stop her from firing off that attack, as it would be devastating not only to him, but the area around them both.

Meril stopped to look down and saw Pah'mazhan racing toward her. He can't possibly think that he'll catch me that easy, she thought. Meril's renzoku shot was ready. She lifted her paws in front of her and released all of the frustration and anger that she had built up during the past hour. Her scream resonated throughout the plains. Even she was surprised at how powerful this shot was. Her paws glowed red and as the shots left her hands and shot down to Meril's target they glowed bright orange in the middle fading to red on the edges.
Meril had put everything into that renzoku blast. She felt her body go numb, all of the feelings that she had felt prior to this fight had overwhelmed her and she felt drained to the point that she felt nothing at all. She was sure that she had hit Pah'mazhan. But did she? Meril's shots stopped and she looked down below her to marvel at the damage that she had done to this man, only to find that he wasn't there and that she had destroyed more of what used to be her home. Meril couldn't bare to look at what she had done. She felt guity and angry again. Of all of the people that she had killed and stolen from, she never felt remorse. Meril had never felt what it was like to metaphorically have a man's blood on her hands because she never thought it mattered to her. She looked again at the pile of rubble and her confusion grew, There's no way that he dodged that! Suddenly Meril felt a sharp pain down her backside. She growled in pain as she turned around to find Pah'mazhan, unscathed and with his sword in hand. As Pah'mazhan continued to slash at her she tried to dodge as many hits as she could, overwhelmed with pain.
At the end of his combo, Pah'mahzhan explained that Meril had proven herself and invited her to join him, to which Meril replied, "Sounds like something I can get into. Do I get to meet this Kouda guy you mentioned earlier and is there money to be had?" She wasn't as curious about Kouda as she was curious about the money, "But seriously is there money in this because as you can see I don't have anything to lose anymore and a cat's gotta make a livin'." Meril figured that if she lost her family she'd make enough money to make up for it, maybe buy a business and name it after her father or her gang. She wanted to avenge her family and if working with this guy was going to do it, then so be it. "You know I've found that working with a large number of people helps get shit done. How many people are already on board?"

Pah'mazhan dodged Meri's attack, and he was thankful that he did. This battle was winding down, and he was thankful for it. Any longer and the fight surely would have ended with one of them incapacitated, and if the fight continued as it did, Pah'mazhan wasn't sure who it would have been. Komoto was strong, yes, but his attacks were weaker than his own defenses. His Genocide Beam attacks were many, but weaker individually. The energy blasts that emitted from Meril's paws, however, were definitely more destructive indeed, although if it were because of raw power or the fact that she charged up her attack was unknown to the bio-android at the time. Striking the earth before exploding, Meri's blasts caused even more damage to the already desolate Jingle Village. The bio-android was sure that this attack of hers was already affecting Meril negatively, more likely than not a result of causing even more damage to her home. Thankfully, though, she began to listen to reason after the attack ended.
Pah'mazhan could see that she was tired, and she would surely need some rest after this altercation. But if everything went according to plan, Meril would have a home with him and his allies, where she can safely rest and recuperate. Pah'mazhan had entered these frozen plains in order to find ship parts for doctor Kouda, but alas, none were found here. However, the doctor would be more than pleased to learn that another person had agreed to join his ranks. Meril spoke, questioning how many people were in the group, to which the bio-android responded, "It originally started as only 2, Doctor Kouda and I, but it has grown considerably in the past 2 weeks alone. There are some newer members I haven't met as of yet. However, you will be the second I have recruited. Come and follow me to the desert, our ship should be finally finished with its repairs by now." When Meril asked if there would be money involved, Pah'mazhan smirked before continuing. "My very new friend, money is the universal language, is it not? You'll be rewarded more than enough, in Zeni if that's what you'd like. More than anything, however, at the Red Eclipse we'll be testing your very limits, if you're prepared for that."
Pointing southward to the sky, Pah'mazhan began softly floating into the air, aided by his Bukujutsu. Placing his sword back in its sheathe, he said, "Sorry about the burns, they'll fade in time." Smiling at Meril, he turned around and shot into the sky, toward the Fortuneteller's desert. Even though she was ill-tempered, Pah'mazhan was positive that she would be a very great ally to the team.

Pah'mazhan's words intrigued Meril. This guy talks really proper. I wonder where he comes from. "So I've got support, money, and if you're any indication of what I'm gonna face then you bet your sweet ass I'm in," she replied. Pah'mazhan pointed and began flying in that direction, smiling at Meril. She smirked, This guy... there's something about this guy. He's confident... Meril's thoughts trailed off as she followed Pah'mazhan to Doctor Kouda's hideout.
Meril looked back at her family's home and she wondered if she was making the right decision for once. After all she had been coming back to possibly turn her life around and make her family proud. She considered turning back around and finding another small town to settle down, but she thought what her family would think of the whole situation. Suddenly, Meril heard her father in the back of her head, "No matter what you do, whether it's good or bad, do what you love sweetheart. Life's not worth living unless you're happy." Meril's eyes watered up as she got a last look of what was left of the Jingle Village and she turned around to follow Pah'mazhan. I was born to fight and that's what I'll do till the day I die.
