After being informed about a rapidly growing settlement by Red Eclipse scouts, Donatsu decided to carry out a scouting mission. He was alone and hadn't brought any other members or lackeys with him, he needed some time to clear his head. This side of the Western Frontier was new to Donatsu, it's lush grasslands and fair weather completely different than anything he had experienced before. For once Donatsu's first thoughts while visiting a town, especially a new one, weren't focused on robbing it blind. Instead he found him self excited to meet new people, or maybe grab some good food. His shades couldn't read his mind but sometimes it felt like they could. "Master the settlement we are searching for is nearby, routing location now standby. We also haven't reached our quota on zeni gain this week, this wil be a good opportunity to extort another city as we did Genome." His A.I companion in his glasses had mastered communicating through it's speaker and through it's display in only a week after being implemented.
"How many times do I have to tell you, just call me Donatsu! But your right I need to focus on making some zeni, can't let the Eclipse down." He said as the directions to the settlement were done routing and were now being streamed into his scouter's display. Donatsu streaked across the sky his red energy leaving it's usual red line in the sky that would fade into nothing in a few minutes. After a bit more flight time his eyes fell upon Avalon, it was a paradise surrounded by a sea of flowing grass. Even the rugged Donatsu who had little understanding of the finer things, was forced to admire it's beauty. His shades took a picture sensing the change in Donatsu's mood for examination, using even this to change and grow to Donatsu's needs. The Crimson Lion landed in the town's square his shades automatically searching for anything that may interest their owner, while Donatsu himself was scanning the town for a good place to eat. "Intense power level detected, displaying location." Donatsu's shades said to him and did as they said displaying the location of someone close to Donatsu's strength. Not wanting a fight but definitely interested in gathering info on the settlement he found himself scouting. Donatsu walked towards the power level hoping to get this over with and grab a bite.

Avalon, the little piece of heaven that was being created within the mortal realm. Not only was it slowly shaping up into becoming a paradise capable of sheltering people from the hardship of the chaotic reality they lived in, but it was also slowly becoming a place that would allow Reikiko to recover from her condition. On this particular day the child had been found within a special shop of sorts that she had grown rather fond of, a place of entertainment known as an 'game arcade'. Just like the name suggested the arcade was a place where people could play various games as a form of distraction, and several individuals had volunteered to play the role of a 'Arcade Rival'. It was a fancy term given for people who had volunteered to play with people visiting the arcade, in the end games were a lot more fun when played with others. But yet... Hikari had never expected that it would have gone like this... A deep sigh escaped the female hybrid's lips while she looked at the spectacle up ahead. There was a small arena-like platform of sorts that displayed several large screens that had some sort of video game play on them.
A brief glance to one side of the platform had shown a chair of sorts where a young man was seated with a helmet on their head, while the other side had the little girl Reikiko seated in it. The two of them had been equipped with what was known as a VRS Helmet, or simply said Virtual Reality Simulator Helmet. Those neat little inventions allowed people to pretty much experience adventures in various different settings, some much more dangerous and crazy than the other, and yet at the same time they could do so without the risk of getting injured. Still she had never expected that Reikiko would have both been so skilled at those games, or for that matter had been interested in them. Then again, all things considered Reikiko did love to surprise everyone when she came with ridiculous games that seemingly came out of nowhere. Still, she couldn't help but feel a little bit restless at the knowledge that Reikiko was playing 'this' game of all possible games. When the screens up above regained their focus, allowing them to see the world the two were in right now the spectacle was about to begin.
Duel of Masters, an unique massive multiplayer roleplaying game that focused on the idea of a competitive setting where players trained diligently, in the hope of entering the tournaments at one of the local arenas where both virtual and real rewards could be earned. The game also boasted a seemingly immense amount of character classes, a class being a special profession you had your character undertake. Nevertheless, it seemed that Hikari had little time to think further onto it, for the game had begun...
Tap... Tap... The sound of light tapping broke the silence in the room, and upon opening her eyes the child found herself leaning against a wall within a small room. It was the waiting area for the tournament. She knew all too well how the game was supposed to go, all across the world people would be competing with each other in a tournament for a fair amount of Zeni, but then again... It wasn't like Reikiko cared that much for money, but she did have some ideas about what she would do if she won the price.
Lightly pressing her body off the wall Reikiko approached the nearby mirror, finding her own reflection inside it. She was still the same small girl from before, albeit she had now a pair of adorable pointed ears and her clothes were replaced by the attire something known as a ninja might had worn. She even had her two kunai, one at each side that she was ready to use once the battle would begin, and various tools had been concealed on her belt and inside her clothes, to the point it was as if her attire alone already served as a whole bag!
"The tournament match is about to begin, please make your way to the arena platform participants."
A soft sigh escaped the child's lips as she moved toward a large circle at the center of the room, and after a few moments of remaining stationary she felt the ground beneath her shake lightly, slowly raising itself upwards into the air. It took only a few seconds before the platform reached what seemed to be the top, and the girl found herself in a lush green scenery. Was this the forest battlefield? To think she had been fortunate enough to get a good arena right at the start of the tournament! For a moment the child couldn't help but smile while she waited for the battle to begin.
Somewhere inside the forest her opponent would have been hiding, an opponent she needed to defeat in order to get her infinite supply of apples. Still, before the hunt could begin she would need to wait for the signal that was counting down above her. From ten it started to slowly descend, all the way until it reached zero, and with a swift dash the child disappeared amidst the trees. Reikiko had always been a nimble and swift person, so a job like the ninja was perfect for her. Bouncing from one tree onto another the girl silently made her way amidst the cover of the leaves while searching for her target. He must had been here somewhere, the man who would make her one step closer to having that delicious red fruit.
"..."
And then she found him. Walking along a path that ran amidst the trees a tall muscular man was seen, a giant battle-axe resting on his shoulder. However, how would she open this battle? Her opponent didn't seem to have seen her yet, an opportunity that she shouldn't allow to let gone to waste... The child had suddenly lunged forwards, her body turning into a blur before reappearing right above the man, both of her kunai drawn and ready to plunge into the back of the warrior. Of course such a thing was seemingly expected by the warrior, for the warrior lifted his axe upwards to deflect the ambush, before using the flat edge of his axe to literally throw the girl backwards through the air.
"Found you Chibi Muse!"
The warrior grinned wickedly, ready to lunge forwards with his axe, but fortunately Reikiko had been prepared. The child rapidly raised her kunai upwards, just fast enough to deflect the swing, but the sheer pressure of the attack tossed her away into the distance.
"Che... Hit her too hard---"
Of course his initial amusement was turned into a mild shock when he saw the girl put away her kunai and started forming a series of motions with her hands. Of course he recognized them, they were the ancient mantra, the ninja hand-seals that would soon call upon the elements. But this wasn't a basic move she was preparing... those seals belonged to.
"What do we have here, is the Chibi Muse preparing to show us a secret technique?!"
An announcer's voice resounded through the air when Reikiko finished the last seal, a surge of energy coursing through her body before she raised a hand upwards to her mouth and exhaled, causing a large cone of flames to spread before her. At first it appeared like a basic fire elemental technique, but the moment the flames were unleashed they seemed to shift and distort into the shape of a large winged serpent that soared straight toward the warrior, maw opened as it threatened to consume him.
"TAKE THAT!"
The warrior shouted fiercely, raising his battleaxe high in the air before making a brutal swinging motion, spinning several times in a row as a hurricane became conjured from the sheer intensity of the attack. The fire danced around him, seemingly being nullified but little did the man realize he was playing exactly into Reikiko's scheme. The fire dragon had been nullified, causing the warrior to grin proudly as the flames flown upwards but... where did the girl disappear to? The answer soon revealed itself as amidst the fire tornado up above the ninja' shadow appeared, her weapons coated in the energy of the flames.
"How remarkable! Empowering her physical attack with the lingering energy of her Ninjutsu! And this activation sequence... Could it be---"
A moment passed before the child reached the warrior, his axe threatening to cleave her into half, when suddenly the weapon sliced only air. A gasp of pain escaped his mouth when he felt something sting in his back, and then when he turned to look over his shoulder he saw the child having hit his back.
"..."
A second of silence followed when suddenly several shadowy blurs struck from the shadow, one after another darting over the man's body, and for the warrior even his armor couldn't deal with the pinpointed barrage of attacks that were unleashed over his body.
"It's the ultimate Hisatsu of the Ninja class! Only said to be possessed by three players in the whole world: Starlight Requiem!"
Starlight requiem, an attack that had the user move so rapidly that a single motion contained at least ten times the amount of attacks, while unlocking this technique was already a nightmare on its own, to master the technique was insane. In her case Reikiko was one of the three who had mastered it, to the point she could deliver up to... one hundred attacks in one Starlight Requiem! The warrior grunted in pain as the damage had finally overtaken him, and with a loud thud he collapsed onto the ground, his body shimmering out of view, declaring her the victor of this match.
The sound of cheers came from all around the arcade as Reikiko removed the helmet from her head, and with a rather adorable curtsy toward the defeated opponent hopped off the stage to run toward Hikari. The hybrid was rather pleased to see Reikiko in such a good mood, and honestly also expected what was to follow when the girl raised one hand to point at her mouth and the other rubbed lightly over her stomach.
"Hungry aren't you? Well, I guess we could visit the McBaos."
The child nodded her head with an excited smile before suddenly rushing out of the arcade, causing Hikari to follow her in a bit of a hurry. That girl really acted like a child when she was excited, not that surprising if one kept her appearance in mind. Still, shortly after they left the building and reached the plaza Hikari found Reikiko to have almost bumped into a stranger, if not for the fact she had stopped an inch away from him.
"Reikiko, wait a moment---"
Yet it seemed Reikiko's initial interest in the nearby fast-food restaurant had been entirely replaced by a focused gaze onto the Crimson Lion's face. For a moment she continued to look at him, her eyes sparkling with childish excitement as if she had just seen her favorite comic-book hero, before turning to Hikari and pointing at the man's face.
"... ! ... !"
The child was practically bouncing up and down from excitement while Hikari sighed softly, shaking her head lightly while approaching the duo.
"I'm afraid I don't know this young man Reikiko, nor have I seen the shades you are so interested in. They do have a rather... interesting look to them."
No denying that, those Donatsu shades were a one of a kin something, and seemed to had interested Reikiko so much that she was staring intensely at the man. For Donatsu the name Reikiko would likely stir some memories, but how would those memories match up with those compared to the appearance of the adorable little child that was standing before him? Did the apple goddess turn into a chibi apple goddess?

Donatsu had been walking towards the sounds of cheering and saw the flashing lights of the arcade. This was obviously something he must be part of, his inner turmoil forgotten for the moment, replaced by excitement. He walked along the cobble path of the quaint city, now knowing it to be Avalon from signs. His shades had been feeding Intel and pictures to the Red Eclipse data banks, reporting the findings of this scouting mission. Donatsu neared the 'Arcade' as the sign displayed, still having no idea what the sounds of amusement and lasers could be. Bright lights shown through the windows of the building and sound effects that Donatsu couldn't quite pin were roaring along with laughter and cheering. He was about to fly from his inability to contain himself when he was halted by a small girl that'd almost bumped into the man.
She seemed almost start struck at Donatsu's presence, perhaps she was a fan? The peculiar girl said nothing but the pointing and flailing of her arms, directed at Donatsu's shades, made her meaning obvious to convey. Another woman who Donatsu imagined to be her sister approached and seemed to be just as confused at the girl's antics. "Wait did she say Rekiko?! As in apple goddess of death spanking?!" Donatsu on the out side wore his usual grin with folded arms as he was gazed at, on the inside however he was pratically screaming looking for a reason at her new look. After much thought he calmed himself, he had decided that another person named Reikiko must exist. As exotic of a name as Reikiko was, it made more sense to Donatsu then what had actually happened to the girl.
Donatsu kneeled in front of the kid that seemed to be transfixed with his shades. "Hey kid you must be very fashionable to recognize these shades, what do you say I give you a pair of your own? You can have them as long as you guide me through that 'Arcade' over there!" Donatsu said slightly mis-pronouncing arcade. He looked up at the red haired woman who he believed to be Reikiko's sister. "You wouldn't mind would you? I'll even give you a pair as well!" Donatsu made a fake pleading face and gesture at the two, as he pulled out two spare pairs of his iconic spectacles. They were the same color, size, and even quality, they were to be used if he ever lost his original pair and needed to transfer the A.I over. "Master we shouldn't be wasting time with these girls, we need to get back to the mission." His shades spoke aloud over the speakers on it's side. Donatsu simply muted the shades, wanting to relax a bit instead. "Can't gain power with a stressed mind!"

"You're turning almost as unruly as your sister. At this rate Zexama might become even easier to handle than you."Sighing playfully at Reikiko's excitement the hybrid smiled briefly in return as the young man seemingly asked for a harmless request in exchange for getting a pair of shades of her own. While Hikari wasn't certain what use such fancy shades would have, it sounded like a simple request and one that was pretty natural for the young man to ask for. In the end games were a popular way to pass the time, and when Reikiko heard she might possibly get a pair of shades of her own she was looking at Hikari was a light pout on her face. If she wanted to be forgiven for comparing her to the antics of that pink candy demon of sugary doom then she would have to at least allow her to escort this young man around the arcade! "I don't mind, but if you enter this arcade you're going to be stuck till late in the night. This little goddess here is one of the island's most skilled gamers."Reikiko nodded her head gently in response to the statement, making a light jump as she practically bounced up and down from excitement. Now she thought about it, perhaps this young man could play some games with her! It seemed Hikari noticed Reikiko's gaze toward some of the advertisements and after thinking for a moment the hybrid spoke once more. "If you're interested, there is a special event happening as we speak. There's a recently released game that players can compete in. It lasts for about a month, but there is a rather fair grand-prize involved. Reikiko here just won a few thousand zeni just from playing for an hour, but then again... She is one of the strongest players on the planet. Nevertheless, if you do play with her, we could teach you how the game functions and you might be able to walk away with both a filled wallet and a good mood at the fact you had some fun. Nevertheless, I don't think we have heard your name yet? My name is Tsukino Hikari, and this little girl here is Reikiko. Albeit since you are at Avalon you likely heard about her before."Of course at this point Donatsu seemed to had lost the chance to properly say no to the invitation for Reikiko had attempted to grab a hold of his arm and lead him toward the arcade. Upon entering there were clearly a ton of machines, from classic consoles and video games to fancy platforms where people were dancing on. However, the main attraction seemed to be large open-capsules where players were resting in, with a helm covering their heads. "The capsules you see in the back are the newly released Virtual Reality helmets that Capsule Corporation has helped invent. They take inspiration from battle simulators in gravity chambers. However, the machines here pretty much send out signals that connect your senses to the program, and connects you and all the players into one world. It can be used for a lot of different applications. For example training as a martial arts practitioner but also for things like playing video games. If at any moment you feel concerned you can just state the system exit command phrase and you will find your senses back where they are. It's a lot like being in a dream. Nevertheless, to ensure none will disturb you while you're playing we have guards stationed at every capsule, so that things like robbery and such won't happen."Hikari's explanation seemed to draw its conclusion, and after a moment the child pointed toward a group of those large half-open capsules, or were they pods? They did to resemble those ancient Saiyan pods a little... "..." Of course while Reikiko was waiting for him to make his decision the sound of more cheers came from nearby, and a little bit away from where they were standing a group of girls were surrounding a guy who just stepped out of the capsule, the girls acting perfectly in the theme of a 'fangirl'. "Kya~ That fight just now was amazing Tom, you barely suffered any damage."It seemed the guy had just won some sort of battle, and as a result several girls had flocked over to him, while the sound of a beep came from the machine, allowing the man to withdraw a card from the capsule. "Those cards you see are like a membership card. When you register at the arcade you get your own unique account for the game, but it also allows you to withdraw any money you earn while playing."Reikiko pulled out a fancy card that shown a red-colored apple as a logo, while beneath it her name and a currency of twenty thousand zeni was visible. The child pointed toward a nearby lobby, seemingly asking if he planned to sign up, or would merely be watching the game. "It's an interesting game, but like I said... If you start playing none of us will leave anytime soon. And knowing Reikiko her wallet will be stuffed again by the time we are done... Still there are cooperative modes in the game, and the introduction is fairly easy. Want to try it out?"A game the type that Donatsu had never experienced before... One that could possibly keep him busy for hours but also grant him a nice lump of zeni. Perhaps this was lady luck smiling down onto him? But if he stayed here he would have to abandon his scouting mission for the Red Eclipse. Then again... Money waited for no man! Not to mention it might had been a chance for him to discover a little more about what happened to that dreadful apple goddess who shared her name. "..." And there she went, having gently tried to grasp one of the spare shades and put it onto her eyes, making a confident pose that just screamed: I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjdNz071O4E
