[OOC Note: Heavy Weights are on, thread is with Reikiko ] [Thread Power level is 3507.25, 14,029 without weights.] "Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap DON'T LOOK DOWN!" she shouted to herself as she flew up. She could see it! The timeless lookout! She had been here before. Walker, or as she called him, Barkington, had taken her here. Granted, she hadn't met anyone else who lived there yet, which disappointed her. She had been hoping that this so-called god would have made an appearance so she could yell at him and challenge him to a fight. She needed a worthy opponent. Kaula eventually made it up, stumbling as she landed on a surface that she could plant her feet on the tiles, and falling to her hands and knees, coughing a bit. "Yes! Land!" she muttered a bit, the poor Saiyan panting loudly. She seemed to be sweating as well. This fear of heights would kill her someday. Regardless, she lowered her head down to thank the tiles for being there with a kiss. She lived another flight. After that, she went to slowly stand up with a groan, her tail flicking to the side as she looked around. "Now.. Let's see if the tree was lying or not." she muttered before cupping her hands, "Hey! You so-called god!! You here or somethin'!?" she'd shout out as she began to walk further into the lookout. She didn't care if she was disturbing anyone. She was on a quest to prove herself, and she wasn't going to let anyone stand in her way. "Yes!? No!? Did Barkington lie to me!?" she continued to shout. Maybe this place was secretly uninhabited.. And the tree was crazy. Maybe he imagined all these people. Maybe she imagined him. ... He was a talking tree, after all. A tree that said something ate a super saiyan. No way that that was possible. No way in hell. She paused a few moments, bringing her hands down to straighten her heavy vest out some. The damn thing was still fucking heavy as hell, but she was getting used to it.. "I swear.. If I had to fly all the way up here for nothing.."((Sorry for the short post.))

It was rather fortunate for Kaula that on this particular moment of the day the timeless lookout was in fact inhabited. While construction on the floating island of Avalon had started in earnest, Hikari had volunteered to stay with Reikiko as something of a twenty-four hours a day caretaker for the girl. Not only was she genuinely concerned about the defenseless state of the girl. It seemed that Reikiko's condition had still been very poor at best, unable to respond or properly react to anything, and it was a situation that troubled both Scargot and Hikari, to the point they both agreed that someone needed to watch over the girl. Fortunately the timeless lookout was often considered a sanctuary, a place of peace and tranquility so all in all it was a good place for Reikiko to dwell, until someone considered the fact that within this sacred place there was little to no people to interact with aside from Scargot and the occasional visitor. That was part of why Hikari had suggested the creation of Avalon, a peaceful sanctuary where Reikiko could well alongside those who cared for her. Hikari had just finished looking over some schematics when a feminine voice shouted from outside the temple grounds.
It seemed they had come in search for Scargot, at least that was what Hikari assumed after hearing the words spoken by the stranger outside. Nevertheless, she felt a bit concerned about the idea that someone was going to be around the temple, especially with Reikiko around. A brief glance around the room shown her that Reikiko had been around, simply seated on a pillow nearby a window, her eyes gazing with a certain disinterest before her. It really was painful to see such a lively spirit like Reikiko to have been reduced to something like this. A deep sigh escaped Hikari's lips as she folded up the schematics and put them away, soon moving her way over to the human child, a hand grasping for Reikiko's own and soon the two of them were on their way to the entrance of the temple. There was simply no way she would leave Reikiko alone if Scargot wasn't around to watch over her. When the two of them reached the doorway their 'guest' had revealed herself. A short of stature but seemingly feisty woman had appeared, judging from her long hair and the animalistic tail that she possessed a Saiyan.
"If you are looking for Scargot, the Kami-sama of this world... I'm afraid he is currently in the afterlife tending to some business. The only ones who are inside the temple right now are myself and the little girl here."
She gestured with her free hand at the child she had been guiding along. Reikiko had been obediently following along, in the end it seemed the only time she properly followed someone was when they held her hand. The child seemed to had not acknowledged the Saiyan's presence, her gaze simply aimed before her with an eerie lifelessness to it. After a moment of consideration Hikari smiled weakly, turning her gaze toward the female warrior and spoke in a gentle tone.
"I apologize, she means no harm. I am Hikari, a friend of this child. The girl's name is Reikiko. She is the adopted daughter of this world's god, but unfortunately a recent tragedy has robbed her of certain things."
For a second Hikari's smile faded away, a shadow of sorrow crossing her visage before it faded away once more. If the Saiyan had come here for a meeting with Scargot then surely she must had meant no ill will. In the end if she had been searching to harm the Kami, she would surely have tried to go for an ambush rather than openly declaring her presence.
"Is there something you specifically needed from the Kami? If not I could perhaps assist you until his return."
She doubted she would be able to properly help this woman with what she was looking for, but at least it was the kind gesture that counted, right? In the meanwhile Reikiko's hand was released, causing the child to merely stand still. It was odd, despite the fact that people were talking around her, Reikiko couldn't find the means to actually communicate like them. There were neither thoughts or feelings. In the end she might had been more akin to an automaton rather than a proper living being. At least that was until... For a moment the child's head shifted, her gaze slowly drifting upwards to look in between the two of them before returning to simply look ahead with the same blank stare from before.
Did she just look at us?
Hikari couldn't help but wonder if this might had been a sign. Was Reikiko's gaze just now a hint that she had been aware of their presence? Until now the girl had not once shown any ability to recognize their presence, as if they had not been visible to her, and yet that look just now shown she was looking at both herself and the Saiyan.
I wonder what this might mean...
Could it be related to the theories that she and Vipoi had been talking about with Scargot? The idea that interactions with others might slowly allow her to recover from her state? While at first it had sounded very unlikely... Right now she couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it than they had assumed at first.
"..."
Of course not a word was spoken by Reikiko, and yet at the same time Hikari couldn't help but feel that simple gesture, that act of looking at them might had been a symbol of hope. Perhaps there was still 'something' inside Reikiko, something that simply needed time to resurface. If that was truly the case then she would give the girl all the time she needed. In the end... If this alongside the creation of Avalon would help Reikiko to return back to normal... then she would do everything to make it happen.

The arrogant Saiyan woman had been a bit oblivious to the construction currently, content with just yelling out till someone came. If she made enough commotion, this so-called "Kami" would have to come here.. If he existed. What if this whole place didn't exist..? She was getting lost in weird thoughts again, letting her mind go from one thing.. To the next.. To another. She then glanced down. Square tiles. In a circular area..? How could all of these squares make a circle? The Saiyan groaned out, all these thoughts were starting to give her a headache! "I just want to punch something now!" she growled out as her hands came up to grip at her head, palms covering her eyes. Her tail flicked angrily at the air before she stomped her foot down in a mini temper tantrum. If this god wasn't here now, then how could she prove herself!? If he didn't exist.. Then how!? "How.." she grumbled out.
That's when she heard the voice. Her hands lowered slightly so she could glance through the areas between her fingers. It's name was Scargot..? That was an.. ... Odd name, that's for sure. She slowly lowered her hands, glaring at the woman who spoke before glancing down to the girl. Something seemed.. Off about the girl, but the Saiyan just chalked it up to her being a human. She eventually returned focus to the one who spoke, "When will he be back??" she asked, growling quietly as her tail flicked at the air again.
She glanced back at the child, simply staring at her when the caretaker motioned to her. Why was a child here. Or rather, why was a child the adopted daughter of a god. Wait.. Well.. She could see why a child was, but why this one specifically? She had no clue. That was until the name was spoken. Her previous mental image flashed in her mind. Twenty feet tall. Seven arms. Horns, multiple horns. Fangs, really long fangs. Like.. Big, sharp, pointy teeth that could rip through armor. And claws that could shred a tank to pieces. Also she had the lower body of a dinosaur, the mane of a lion, and she could breath fire. That image was just shattered as her jaw dropped slowly, staring at the small girl infront of her.
"No. No-no. No no no no no no no no no no. No." she'd say as she slowly raised a hand. ".... I-... No. ... No.. No." Kaula then pointed at Reikiko, "That can't be possible.. That is not the.. The thing that apparently ate a super saiyan. No. No-no. That is impossible. You're lying." the Saiyan continued, absolutely refusing to believe Hikari. "But.. Don't worry. I'll forgive you for lying like that.. Because.. Th-.." she paused to start laughing a bit, "That's just not possible. Either that or Barkington lied to me."
The Saiyan eventually calmed down, "But besides that, I'm here to fight this 'Kami-sama'." she stated, sticking her hands on her hips proudly, "Though I doubt you'd be able to asisst me in that area.. I highly doubt you are apparently as strong as a god, let alone a Saiyan like me." she said, surely thinking high of herself as she checked her nails.
Kaula glanced back at the girl. She stared at her for a few seconds before she began to giggle a bit more, "That girl ate a super saiyan.. Heh. I can't believe I fell for such a lie." she said, shaking her head slowly. "I bet that this Scargot isn't even a god. That tree must have been crazy. I knew it. Shoulda just left him to fight that blue bubblegum ball all by himself."
The Saiyan glanced up at the sky before sighing. "Seems I probably came up here for nothing." she said, "It's a shame. I was looking for a warm up before I started training today." her levels of cockiness going through the roof. Someone get a scouter, because they might just be over 9000. Aha. She glanced back down, her emerald eyes, the one thing giving up that she clearly wasn't a full-blooded Saiyan, staring right back at Reikiko when her head moved. "Seems off. Is she one of those damaged humans?" she asked a bit bluntly. Sure, she was mean at the time being. She was on an endorphin high of feeling how right she was in all of this.
She stepped closer to the human girl, moving to crouch down near her to simply stare at her. Her right hand came up, her index finger pointing out as she moved it closer to try to poke the girl's face. "Is anyone in there, little human?"

While she initially felt annoyed at the woman's cocky attitude, Hikari couldn't help but sigh loudly at the reminder that this person was in fact a Saiyan. It was quite case of bitter irony, and for a moment she couldn't help but regret the decision to have come out to greet this person. She really couldn't handle the Saiyan their mentality that made them assume they were superior to all others. Nevertheless, it seemed that this woman had come here for a different reason than bragging about her power. Not only was she seemingly interested in fighting Scargot, an idea that sounded foolish to her due to the fact the Namekian seemed more or less a pacifist in nature, it didn't help either that even Scargot's power would likely be stronger than that of the woman. After a moment Hikari's lips curved up into a smile. This woman must had been a fool to assume such facts, not to mention the detail surrounding the Saiyan's inability to properly calculate the difference in their power levels likely hinted she lacked the ability to sense someone's strength. Perhaps it was for that reason her tone became filled with a certain hint of confidence while she replied, her tone still friendly as before.
"Unfortunately judging from your current strength you'd be incapable of even making Kami-sama become serious. However, your overconfidence as a Saiyajin will lead you to suffer the same fate as that Supah Saiyajin someday. Perhaps you should master the ability to sense someone's power, because right now... you're the weakest among us three."
It was not a bluffing attempt, in the end Hikari despite her more pacifistic nature was a trained warrior who had a power level of roughly ninety thousand without tapping into her hidden potential. While she might had been a half-saiyan, she was one who had grown to despite her alien heritage after the rampaging Oozaru at the last world tournament had killed her parents. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath before gesturing at Reikiko.
"My own power level has a maximum level of three hundred and sixty thousand when I fight casually, even in her condition Reikiko here has a power level of roughly... sixty thousand."
She could sense Reikiko's slumbering power, and yet it was because of her condition that she had become so helpless. However, it was the moment Kaula had called Reikiko a 'damaged human' that Hikari snapped. She simply couldn't tolerate such attitude toward the girl, and upon narrowing her eyes the woman's eyes changed to a teal color in their look, her hair flaring upwards into a golden hue while her aura flared drastically around her.
"Call her that one more time and I'll ensure that foul word doesn't leave your mouth ever again. If you're curious, yes she was the one who slain the famous Supah Saiyajin during the battle of West Capitol and devoured his power. And if she was still her old self you would have soiled your pants."
Despite having ascended into her Super Saiyan form Hikari couldn't help but finally allow her anger to become subdued, the aura slowly fading away while she closed her eyes, a deep sigh escaping her lips. Now she remembered why she disliked talking to a Saiyan.
"Either way, to answer your question she isn't 'damaged'. When her power had grown to such a level it could threaten this planet Scargot-sama tried to subdue it by allowing her to control the darkness that was brought forth from her power. In the end Reikiko somehow lost her ability to subdue this darkness and it split her into half. While you might see a child before you, she still holds the potential of the woman who slain a Supah Saiyajin. And yet, somewhere on this planet dwells her evil side... A bio-android whose power level is so vast that at its full power reaches a three million. If you decide to let your overconfidence become your demise, then feel free to search for her."
When Kaula had moved down to poke Reikiko's face, the child seemed to be unresponsive, almost as if she had not even felt it. Nevertheless, for a moment Hikari turned her gaze away before recalling something. There was a way for her to show the truth to this Saiyan, to erase all her doubt about it being some twisted joke.
"If you still doubt my honesty, I can show you the live footage that was taken during the siege on West Capitol. Then you can see for yourself whether she is the one you heard about or not."
It was a rather dark scene, but it was also a scene that shown Reikiko's rise to power. If only the girl had still retained her memories, then she wouldn't have had to deal with someone ridiculing her as a damaged human.
"But either way, if it's a fight you want neither Kami or Reikiko will be able to provide one. I doubt the girl would attack even if she was injured."
Of course she lacked the resolve to try it, but little did Hikari knew how wrong she was with that statement. Still, for a moment the child turned to look into the Saiyan's eyes, and while her expression remained blank and soulless, it was clear she was no ordinary child.
"But I assume you are talking about Mister Walker? I have yet to had the opportunity to meet the bio-android, but I have been told about him. But he doesn't seem like the type who would lie or deceive another, not to mention the things you all mentioned so far were hard facts."
At least Hikari had finally calmed down once more, raising a hand to Reikiko's head and petted it gently, as if to tell the child that everything would become better soon. No matter what would happen, she would ensure that Reikiko would regain her memories and emotions, so that one day things could return back to how they were meant to be.

It's not like she could help it, the woman was a Saiyan, after all. They were normally born dumb as rocks and the most arrogant things in the whole universe! She couldn't help it. She just needed someone strong. If she could just beat them, she'd be strong.. Strong enough to actually do it. In her mind, she had to become a Super Saiyan. To prove people wrong. To prove everyone from her home city wrong. Granted, she didn't know what she'd do right after that.. ... But it was just something she felt she absolutely had to do.
"I-.. I'd make him serious!" she'd say as she stood back up, turning to face the woman. She stared at her for a few moments when she finally dropped that bomb to her.. She.. Was the weakest here..? No way! That's impossible! She was.. She was an elite Saiyan. An. Elite. How could she be the weakest? She stood there quietly, the poor thing was clearly confused by the whole thing.
Kaula tried to get the gears working in her mind, frowning as she went over the information she was given. It couldn't.. Be, though. It simply couldn't be TRUE. This was the first time she was told that she was the weakest.. And it was actually true. Apparently. But were they bluffing? She didn't know this. She looked back to Reikiko when she was gestured to. On the subject of Power Levels, she didn't have a scouter and hadn't been keeping up with her own. She assumed it was high. ... Like a hundred million bajillion.. Or something like that. Arrogance was fun!
She'd call anyone anything she wanted. She was a Saiyan and no one could tell her what to do! Ever! She opened her mouth, getting ready to speak when it happened.
Kaula never thought she'd see someone else do it before. She had always hoped that she wouldn't see someone else do it, that she'd only see herself. But, regardless, this.. Caretaker.. She had all the signs of it. The Saiyan's jaw dropped. She had gone Super Saiyan.. At least, she thought she had. Golden hair.. Teal eyes.. That was.. It was breath-taking. It was also impossible, she must be dreaming.
She looked back towards the 'damaged child' when Reikiko made the threat. She didn't know if it was true that she had actually done that, but she did fear the power of the caretaker, that's for sure.
When the Aura went away, she moved forward, her hands shaking. She wanted to grab at the woman and pull her close, but she feared even touching her at this point. "Teach me that.." she muttered quietly, "Please. Teach me how you did that."
She eventually glanced back towards the girl. Would the caretaker lie..? She wanted to shout now. She wanted to punch things. Someone else was a Super Saiyan. Someone was one.. And it wasn't her! She couldn't stand this. It was killing her! And.. The child.. This apparently strongest being in the world. She didn't look so tough.. Though, the eyes. The eyes freaked her out a little bit.
"I.." she paused. She wasn't sure what to say at first, "I.. Believe you. I think.." she said, still partially in denial about the whole thing. She didn't know what she'd do if she saw actual proof of it. She continued to stare at the kid, though. It just.. Baffled her.
"Th-.." she could probably get why the girl wouldn't fight. She was d-.. Wait. What if Hikari could hear her thoughts..? She'd annihilate her. "All things have the drive to fight, deep down. It's what makes people strong." she said as she crouched near the kid. She stared at Reikiko for a few moments, "Bet you can't punch the building you just came out of." she said as she went to poke the child's forehead. Yep. She just told a child to go punch a building. Fun.
"Mister Wal-. Oh. You mean Barkington. Yeah." she said as she recalled the bio-android. That's right.. Walker had said Reikiko was a Bio-Android.. Like him. But.. She paused, she looked human now. She wasn't anything crazy-looking, like him. Kaula just sighed, still.. Staring at Reikiko. It was.. Impossible, still. Just impossible. It scared her. She didn't like this pit, deep down in her stomach! It was fear, something she rarely TRULY felt. This little girl could probably devour her within a second. She sighed and just went to stand after that, looking back towards Hikari. She had no clue what to say at the moment. These people.. FOr once, she knew Hikari was stronger than her.. But the child was still a wild-card in her mind. "Please.." she muttered softly, "You still just.. You gotta teach me that.." she tried to say, attempting to plead with the woman, looking up to her with her cute, green eyes. "I-i mean.. You j-.. Just do it. Y-yeah. Teach me!"

How curious... To be honest Hikari had never expected to see a Saiyan beg for something, especially considering that they were such a proud race. However, it seemed that this woman had a reason to desire the power she had displayed just now, and in all honesty it unnerved her a little. The power of a Super Saiyan was not a simple toy to hand out to people, it was a weapon forged through the most intense and painful emotions one could possibly experience. Perhaps it was for that reason that instead of the initial anger she had felt, her anger toward the woman turned into sorrow and even pity. To desire a power she didn't even understand, it was a bit foolish but also understandable. Not only did this power become something akin to a legend among the Saiyan race, it was often also a source of inspiration for all warriors across the galaxy, a power to strive for. In the end legends had always said that the Super Saiyan was the strongest warrior in existence... Until Reikiko killed one of them. It was after several moments of silence that she shook her head lightly in denial to the plea, explaining her reasoning.
"It's not something that can be taught. The power of a Super Saiyan is something you don't obtain because you want it, in the end that desire is nothing compared to the pressure you feel when you have an actual need for it."
For a moment she closed her eyes, thinking back about a recent event that had stirred it all..
Despair, that was the emotion that dominated Hikari's mind right now. She was powerless, forced to watch Reikiko being forced onto a constant defense, the bio-android's concern for her safety prevent her from fighting without any restrains. The purple-tinted sister had just enlarged the distance between herself and Reikiko before suddenly raising her hand into Hikari's direction, a surge of ki channeling through the evil bio-android's hand before she launched a series of spheres, resembling large bullets toward Hikari. A soft shriek escaped the girl's lips as she raised her arms, seemingly bracing herself for the impact, but right before they collided Reikiko had appeared before her, like a blurred image as the bullets crashed into her body. It was clear that the damage had been overwhelming to say the least, for explosion after explosion caused a cloud of smoke to shroud Reikiko, making it difficult for Hikari to see the bio-android's state, but once the smoke cleared her despair turned into terror. Bits of a green-colored substance, akin to blood started to fall from the woman's pierced carapace, forming a small pool at her feet, and yet she stood defiant against this overwhelming force... and the only thing that drove her was...
"Run you fool!"
Hikari's mind snapped back to reality, just in time to see Reikiko stagger, a moment of opportunity her sister intended to exploit at all costs, for she darted forwards, easily repelling the punch from the weakened Reikiko, before raising an arm to swing sideways, slapping the bio-android onto the ground with a harsh thud.
"You have grown even weaker than the rumors say sister. You ascended to the same state as me, and yet you have mellowed down into such a state you are akin to a petty human. Your concern for that girl's safety is laughable, especially knowing that your death will be followed by hers soon."
The purple-tinted sister raised her foot, before crushing it down into Reikiko's mid-section, causing the bio-android to let out a scream of agony. It was a sound her sister seemed to delight in, for she repeated the motion several times, but amidst the screams Hikari could still catch the words Reikiko shouted at her.
"I don't want you to die!"
The sound of the purple-tinted sister's laughter resounded through the air as Reikiko's presence clearly started to grow weaker by the second, and at this point Hikari knew what that meant... Reikiko was about to die. Despite finding herself frozen in fear Hikari couldn't help but find her mind working in overdrive, realizing that Reikiko was about to die soon, all because she had been forced to protect a weak girl like herself. She had already lost her parents to a death where she had been powerless. She could still remember the sight of her parents their mangled bodies after the Oozaru had finished their rampage, that terrible feeling of holding the corpse of a loved one in your arms... Was this about to repeat itself? Was she going to lose the one she loved, forced to hold her lifeless body in her arms and lament her own weakness? Slowly sparks of electricity started to surge around her, sparks that intensified in quantity as slowly the girl's hair started to rise and fall, occasionally turning a golden color during the metamorphosis. Her blue-colored aura started to slowly rise, a golden hue slowly consuming it.
"Don't..."
The air itself seemed to slowly grow stronger in pressure, and Reikiko's sister found herself briefly pausing, turning into the direction of the girl. What was going on? Hikari's hair once more rose upwards, and within the back of her mind she felt something 'slipping', as if her grasp on something she had tried to keep firmly chained up had started to grow loose. And then it finally happened.
"DON'T TOUCH MY REIKIKO!"
A loud shout accompanied a burst of ki, the girl's aura flaring outwards while her brown-colored hair had turned golden in color, her irises having gained that famous teal tint to them, and with a sharp glare she lunged forwards, delivering a ferocious punch into the purple-colored sister's face, a punch strong enough to send her reeling through the air and crash onto the ground several steps away.
"I won't... I won't let you hurt her anymore!"
Was this... A Super Saiyan? Hikari seemed different, the manifestation of pure anger as she stepped past Reikiko, only shooting her a brief glance before walking into the direction of Reikiko's sister. It was at that moment Reikiko knew... her lover had become a berserker, her mind consumed by anger and she would not be stopped until the one that had made Reikiko suffer like that had been utterly destroyed. Was this the true nature of a Super Saiyan? One who was consumed by their very emotions?
Upon opening her eyes the hybrid spoke once more, continuing her explanation with the same soft tone from before.
"I had almost lost the most precious person in my life. That moment of sorrow at the thought I'd be forced to watch her die, the frustration at my powerlessness as my enemy threatened to take everything I treasured... That moment rage and hatred consumed my mind as I watched that person nearly kill her... It was at that point I ascended. So ask yourself Saiyajin, are you willing to lose everything for a power you might possibly not be able to obtain or control?"
She shook her head lightly, her gaze drifting sideways to Reikiko.
"Although I became a Supah Saiyajin I lack the ability to teach people. While Reikiko has been able to force a Saiyajin to ascend, I have no clue how she did it, not to mention in her current condition the secret is likely still hidden within her."
And all the while Reikiko merely continued to look up ahead, yet for a moment it seemed a tiny, almost insignificant pulse of her ki could be felt. Was it the talk about a Super Saiyan, or was it something else that had stirred her energy?
"Either way, if you were to become a Supah Saiyajin you'd have to learn certain things first, lest you suffer the same fate as the Supah Saiyajin in West Capitol did. Perhaps starting by learning to introduce yourself?"
She smiled briefly, seemingly in jest at her last words.

Kaula took in a deep breath as she continued to stare at the other woman, eager to hear of her answer. If anyone could teach her such a skill, it should be someone who already has the skill. Like this one! This one could teach her! Easy! Probably.. If she'd teach her. If not.. ... She'd make her teach her. Yeah. She then noticed that that thought had a.. Flaw... How could she make someone, who is likely vastly stronger then her, do something..? Must have to do some brain trick, or something.
The Saiyan was snapped out of her thoughts when the caretaker spoke, ".. C-.. Can't be taught? What do you mean it can't be taught!" She REFUSED to believe that. There had to be a way. It couldn't just.. Not be taught. That was impossible!
Her nails dug into her skin as she formed fists. It wasn't FAIR. No. She had things so hard. Not as hard as most! But she was supposed to have things like this come easy!! She was an elite, for pete's sake! How? Why!? It wasn't fair! She wanted to yell. She wanted to scream, punch, kick. She wanted to break things and people out of frustration. There must be someone. Anyone. Who could teach her this, just because this one seemed to think it must not be taught.. She could.. She must..
Kaula brought her own hands up to grip at her head, groaning some before the woman went to continue. She had to lose something. No. Not just something. Everything. "What else can I lose..? I had to run away. Run from my homeworld to stay alive. I don't know if my mother is even alive. I lost my dignity. The one person I really cared about.-" she moved to try to grip the other half-saiyan's arms, "-What more do I have to lose!? What more do I have to give up to be strong enough to return home!?"
That's when her eyes glanced towards the small girl. Her. She can force someone.. To become one..? Is that what she did? She forced one to become a super saiyan.. And then ate it! It all made sense now. "Then.. H-.. How do we.. Fix her? If she's in a bad state currently..?" she asked, "I mean.. Like.. She can.. R-right..? Barkington said she's a Bio-Android. Why not.. Like.. Feed her someone or somethin'.. That'd work, right?"
Wait, she had to learn more things too? This was.. Problematic. Learning things was difficult. Though, she frowned a little bit and went to lower her head when that last little sentence was said, ".. S-sorry.. My name is Kaula.." is all she'd say, her black-dyed tail drooping down some as well.

What else was there for Kaula to lose? It was an answer nobody but she herself would know the answer for. Nevertheless, even if she didn't knew the answer the words spoken by Kaula made the hybrid wonder about the statement. To fix Reikiko was an idea that both she, Scargot and Vipoi had been working on, and yet little to no progress had been made on the matter. Even that brief gaze aimed at her and Kaula had been the largest sign of progress they had made so far, so all in all it had started to sound a bit hopeless. Nevertheless, her gaze focused on Kaula as she explained about her plight, and her desire to obtain the power of a Super Saiyan to punish those that had wronged her. It was not that bad of a desire, but the question still remained whether it would be enough of a reason to ascend.
"The fact you didn't ascend during those events must have meant two things. Either you were too weak to break through the figurative barrier that surrounds you, like a shell that keeps you from evolving entirely, or the event, despite their traumatic nature had not a strong enough impact on you."
She turned her gaze sideways, remembering how she felt during the moment she had become a Super Saiyan. The only thought that drifted in her mind at that time was to destroy the one who had caused that emotion, to crush them and destroy everything they held dear. It was no surprise Reikiko was worried about those who became a Super Saiyan. If the act of ascending into the form of a Super Saiyan was born through the use of emotions, it would have been very likely that this was possibly somewhat dangerous. Few people had the ability or training to control their emotions, and with a power as great as that of the Super Saiyan... It would have been no surprise if they fell into the darkness of their ascension. Athren had been consumed by his power, and even Reikiko despite her superior strength had nearly been swallowed by the darkness that tainted her heart, until the tragic event caused this to happen.
"With great power comes great responsibility, and the Supah Saiyajin form is a power one does not simply 'obtain'. It is a state of being forced upon you, in such a way that despite its immense power it can be both a blessing and a curse."
Still, their conversation had returned to the subject of Reikiko, and when Kaula asked if the child could possibly punch through the temple, Hikari couldn't help but giggle briefly as she recalled Reikiko at her full power could have likely leveled the whole lookout with a single attack. Unfortunately Kaula's idea surrounding Reikiko's recovery seemed flawed, for it relied on the past bio-android nature of the girl. The human Reikiko lacked the ability to absorb, and even if she could do it, it was unlikely she would desire such an act.
"Unfortunately it's not that simple. Reikiko has reverted to a form best associated with an ordinary human. She no longer possesses the means or abilities she had as a bio-android, so absorbing would be impossible. Nevertheless, I believe one method surrounding her recovery involves her interacting with others. It seems that this might possibly stir some memories within her, or at the very least her ki presence seems to stir around people."
While Hikari explained those words Reikiko's gaze seemed to shift lightly, and for a moment it seemed that her focus turned onto Kaula, a focus far more intense than her usual blank stare. Several moments passed when suddenly a light gust of wind came from the spot the girl was at, and a second later she disappeared.
"Rei?!"
Shouting the child's name in surprise Reikiko suddenly reappeared behind Kaula and without any warning both her hands reached forwards, trying to grasp a hold of the Saiyan's tail before the child suddenly leaned forwards... in an attempt to bite her tail!
"..."
Munch munch munch, despite the fact it would have felt more like noms or nibble rather than a proper bite, the child seemed to had tried to attack Kaula, before suddenly releasing a hold of the girl's tail and spitting sideways, as if she was trying to cough out a bad flavor. Gods, that girl her tail was almost bad enough to had given her a hairball if she was a cat!
"Reikiko... can you hear me?"
For a moment the child her gaze drifted toward Hikari before the child suddenly took a few steps backwards and shifted her footing lightly. That strong stance in her lower body, it reminded the hybrid of something... That stance was oddly familiar.
"Wait Rei! You are challenging her?"
That combative stance was one that the old Reikiko used to make when she was seriously taunting someone for a fight, and yet it made Hikari wonder whether Reikiko had started to develop the means to react to her surroundings. Was it Kaula's presence that had started this, or was it something else entirely? While the child didn't seem to be responding to her questions she felt this must had been a vital sign.
"It seems you got the challenge you want Kaula, just know that I'll be stepping in if either of you get too out of hand."
To think a Saiyan just had her tail bitten by a child, and then challenged to a duel! Speaking of an odd chain of events, but perhaps this was all a sign that Reikiko was slowly starting to recover. However, there was one odd thing she had noticed about the child. For some reason her presence felt different, more confident and stronger than the hollow feeling from before. It was as if she felt an echo of Reikiko's old presence.
"..."
Still the blank expression, but yet her eyes seemed to had a tiny sliver of light in them, as if something was stirring inside her...
--- Rei used Flash Step to appear behind Kaula, and tried to nom her tail for a moment.

Kaula had returned her gaze to the other half-saiyan. She was just.. Staring at her. She wanted an answer, no. She didn't just want an answer. She wanted to know exactly what to do. She didn't care if the other Saiyan thought she couldn't actually teach her or not.. She just wanted.. No. Needed to know what to do. Her hands came back up, gripping at her forehead again with a groan.
"I-.. I am not weak!" she'd nearly shout as she brought her hands back down to stomp her feet. She was stubborn on that, refusing to believe that.. But.. Did they really not affect her as much as she thought..? Was there pain worse then what she knew..? Her hands slowly dropped to her sides as she sorta slumped in defeat.
The Saiyan didn't exactly know it, but it seemed like the other one was trying to simply prevent her from being corrupted by the power she had yearned to get. To her.. Power was all she knew. She didn't think it was necessarily bad. Not like she'd do anything bad once she get it. Alas, the girl let out a quiet sigh as she started to frown some. It felt like, with a super saiyan right in front of her, that the power was just in arm's reach. But she couldn't touch it. Like fancy art at a museum that looks like it'd be fun to touch, but you can't.. It pained her.
"I- Responsibility..? With strength and power..?" she asked. What was this person, some type of nerd? Power was ment to be used whenever needed. Where ever needed. However needed. "H-.. How can it be a curse..? That sounds impossible..? You're a being of legend! A-.. J-.." she stuttered out a bit, completely flabbergasted by the thought of that.
She looked back to Reikiko as Kaula was told her idea wouldn't work. It was a shame, sounded like a solid plan. Though, Kaula had a new question now. "How can she.. Interact with people.." she said as her head tilted, "She doesn't really do much, does she..? I mean.. She sorta.. Looked at me.. But she doesn't do anything when I poke her. Doesn't do anything she's told.." she started to say before Rei disappeared. Kaula went to start glancing around before she suddenly shivered when the girl grabbed a hold of her tail.
If this had happened a few days before, she'd likely have frozen in place. Now, she felt a tingle and some mild discomfort. The Saiyan glanced back, her tail twitching in the girl's hands as she went to turn around to face her. "Well.. That's more then simply moving her head.. Right..?" she asked before her eye twitched when she was nommed. Normally she'd attack whoever touched her tail without permission.. But she made an exception, since the child was a cute one. And pleeeaaaase. The Saiyan's tail was glorious. GLORIOUS! Just as glorious as her mane!
An eyebrow was raised though, as the human girl got up and apparently got into a stance. Kaula looked back towards the caretaker who's name she had honestly forgotten. "She's challenging me.. Just a few minutes ago you said you doubted she would even attack me, even if she was injured." she'd say before bringing her attention back to the girl.
She sighed, tugging at her vest for a moment. It, and her boots were weighted. She also wasn't fully used to them yet, she doubted she could fight in them.. But she was stubborn, she'd try. Kaula let out a sigh, cracking her neck a little bit, taking a heavy step forward once while her hands came up, taking up her boxing stance, "Well.. If you want to fight, then fine. Think you could talk some, though? That's half the fun of fighting." she'd state with a soft chuckle. That was when an idea popped into her mind. She turned her head, distracted for this moment, to talk to the caretaker, "Hey..... You. If she needs to interact with people, why don't I take her away from this place sometime. Cities have LOTS of people."

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgTdQGzlJZ8"That would be rather dangerous, given that she has a fair amount of enemies. Also... You might want to keep your attention on the battle."Her lips curved up into a grin when Hikari had just seen the subtle movement in Reikiko's feet, and like she thought a moment later it would have begun. The child lunged forwards, and while her speed was inferior to that of her original self it was still equal to that of a trained martial arts fighter. Her initial attack seemed to had been a dash right for the woman's front, an initial sweeping kick being made toward the Saiyan's legs, seemingly in an attempt to trip her, but even after that attack she easily kept her nimble footing, a series of punches being send in a back and forth motion toward Kaula's face, each of them resembling the motions of a boxer. It was odd, but despite the fact the motions were raw she could sense some of the former Reikiko her strategy in them. Reikiko had always been someone who preferred speed and a barrage of attacks over the use of explosive strength. Nevertheless it made Hikari wonder if this was perhaps an echo of the true Reikiko's nature. "..." The child had just finished her attempt at launching a barrage, seemingly having not flinched from a potential retaliation. However, it seemed she had yet to be finished for when she landed on her feet, the child lunged forwards for a second time. Curiously enough it appeared that this was the moment her true assault would have begun, for Reikiko's upper-body leaned forwards, fist raised backwards as if she was preparing an upper-cut, but the moment she reached Kaula, the fist would have aimed for her mid-section. "..." Hikari's eyes narrowed for a moment, seemingly realizing what Reikiko had been up to. While it was unlikely Kaula would have noticed, especially with their almost equal speed and her inability to sense energy, but the moment Reikiko's fist was about to force itself into the Saiyan's mid-section a trap was spun. If Kaula tried to defend, or in one way or another touch Reikiko the child would have literally detonated into a small explosion, and upon the clearance of the cloud of smoke that would surely follow the child had been seen reappearing several meters away, hiding behind a small pot that held a plant, seemingly wanting to see if she had hit the Saiyan. "..." Hikari couldn't help but wonder what Reikiko had done just now. While she knew Reikiko had always been a master of rapid-movement, she had never combined it with a proper after-image, and especially not detonate it. How would Kaula react to this disadvantage where she was unable to guess who might had been the real Reikiko, and who would have been a after-image that could blow up in her pretty face any moment? "..." Finally the child emerged from behind the pot, taking a deep breath. She could do this! --- Shorter post since I'm terrible with battles Reikiko used a series of simple basic attacks as flavor fighting and then used her real attack: Explosive Flash Step: 33% Damage attack at 6600 PL Causes an after-image of Reikiko to be made that detonates a moment later/or upon being struck.

"Would they really recognize her..? I mean.. I am assuming she wasn't a child before this." she said as she motioned to Reikiko. Who was then lunging at her! That was why Hikari told her to pay attention! "Gah!" Kaula cried out as she moved to hop back to narrowly avoid the kick, granted, she hadn't landed near as far away as she thought. Damn.. Weighted boots. OH KAMI! The child was starting to punch! Kaula raised her fists up to block, recognizing how she seemed to throw.
"A boxer, huh?" she asked as she started to grin, "Form's good. I think I've seen better, though." she'd say as she noticed an opening after the assault, the Saiyan went to take it, raising her hand.. Though she hesitated. Beside the fact she knew who it was.. This was still a child here. Kaula's eyes went wide as she seemed to think back to her past. Her vision blurred a bit, unable to tell the difference between reality and her imagination for the time being. Where.. Where was she?
She was back in the alley. It wasn't Reikiko in front of her this time, it was a different child. A male Saiyan. One of the last actual child she had fought. A few tears started to run down her face as she returned back to reality, her fist still raised as she seemed to have just.. Froze there, leaving her wide open for the uppercut coming her way. That was when the blow hit her. The afterimage exploded right infront of her, the poor girl unable to avoid it right now, due to her weights. She was thrown to the back, grunting as she just laid there, her one hand holding her gut while the other one covered her eyes.
Kaula couldn't do it. The woman laid there, her clothing had some holes burnt in it by the clothing, also earning herself some few scorch marks. But she just laid there, seemingly unable to get up afterwards. She was trying to cope with her mind right now, having too much trouble with the fact she'd have to fight a child. ... A child.. Again, reality was starting to blur for her, but she still just laid there. Was she injured? From the way her chest was rising and falling; she seemed to be breathing..
-------------------------------- Kaula dodged the kick. Kaula blocked the hits. Kaula tried to hit, but hesitated and got blown up. Kaula is now laying on the ground, crying and feeling in-Saiyan.

Tears.. Was the Saiyan crying about something? While Hikari had noticed the hesitation in the warrior's reaction at the last moment she had decided not to intervene, and instead the explosion that had detonated in Kaula's face with enough force to send her reeling backwards onto the ground. After a moment of silence the sound of sobs was the only thing that could be heard, and while Hikari was about to say something, she saw, or rather felt something odd. Reikiko's energy had pulsed again, but instead of an attack she had disappeared from view, reappearing nearby the apple tree that had recently grown at the end of Walker's attempt to recover that what had been lost a while back. The child gently landed with her feet on a branch, pulling down two of the red colored fruits before suddenly making another rapid movement, yet unlike before she had reappeared in a seated position above the Saiyan, straddling her while holding the two apples in her hands. Looking from one hand into the other the child suddenly leaned forwards onto the woman, gently placing one of the apples on her forehead.
"..."
The child looked down onto the Saiyan, and if Kaula had picked up the fruit she would have likely seen a faint sliver of something, was there a sign of concern in the child's eyes. However, the look was quickly replaced when she started taking the remaining fruit toward her mouth and took a small bite from it. It was the moment the bits of the apple flavor reached her mouth that the child's gaze softened a little and her cheeks flushed up a light color, while nearby Hikari seemed to be lost in thoughts. Reikiko had started showing reactions, perhaps even the first signs of emotions around this stranger, perhaps the theory that she could recover through interactions with others might had been correct?
"..."
However, when Hikari turned her gaze back at Reikiko the hybrid couldn't help but find herself chuckling in amusement when the child had finished the fruit and literally flopped down onto the Saiyan's bosom, closing her eyes as if she had gone to sleep.
"I guess that's the end of their fight..."
She slowly approached the duo, uncertain of what to do before finally leaning down beside Kaula, her tone a soft whisper in an attempt not to wake Reikiko from her slumber.
"You hesitated when she attacked, and it didn't seem like fear to me. Was there something that made you hesitate? A memory or something?"
Her tone was gentle, yet filled with concern as she waited for Kaula to respond, or give the signal that Rei had to get off her. In the end it wasn't often a Saiyan found a child they had just met falling asleep on top of them, especially not when their pillows were used as actual pillows! Either way, it seemed their fight had ended in a rather peculiar way.
"..."
And all in all it was a pleasant way to end the fight.

The Saiyan wanted to fight.. But she wasn't sure what she was fighting now. She wasn't sure where she was, what was happening. Everything was a haze to her! She wanted to yell, shout, flail, do something. ... But she couldn't. She just laid there, barely in pain. She was even beginning to question who she was, after this. That was, untill she felt more weight then usual on her. She'd wince lightly, as she did have some burn marks on her body, but she slowly spread her fingers to gaze through them, to the young.. She squinted her eyes, trying to cut through the blur. Where was she..? She was at.. The lookout. Yes. The Timeless Lookout, that's where she was.. She came her.. To challenge the kami-sama. But he wasn't there. It was the half-breed and the girl. YES! The girl! The girl was ontop of her. That cemented the Saiyan woman back into Reality. Her sobs stopped for a moment as she took in a deep breath.
She paused when she felt something placed on her head. It was.. One of the food. She reached up with her other hand to pull it off, using the hand that was covering her eyes to simply wipe away the tears. Her hand brought the apple into view to stare at it. "... Thank you.." she'd say quietly as she gulped. She felt.. A bit different about the girl. It seemed like this was the first thing on the planet that had openly showed sometype of.. Concern.. For the Saiyan. She liked that, it made her feel happy. She started to smile, looking right back at the girl. Wow. She ate it fast. ... And..
Kaula remained silent as the girl buried her face into her bosom. It's not the first time she's had a female there, but those times were clearly different. "Uhh.." she muttered as she sniffed at the young human for a moment. She just sighed, relaxing as she placed a hand on the girl's head to gently pet at it. She didn't mind. Didn't really mind at all. She glanced towards Hikari when she spoke, her eyes seemed a bit sad, "It was. ..." she paused for a few moments before looking back down to the girl, "... A memory.." she muttered, "I had.. Lost control.. Before. ... As a child. Killed.. Two other my age. Had to leave Vegeta because they were some important family's children.. They wanted me dead.. And my mother wanted me alive.." she mumbled out, staring at Reikiko the whole time, "Was.. Just.. I-i don't know. Had trouble def-.." she paused. She didn't know how to pronounce the word, "Had trouble telling the difference.. Between it and this.. And.. All.." she said, slowly going into a mumble after that. It took a lot of the Saiyan's pride to admit that, not that she had much left after she had laid there, crying after she got hit, so she continued to pat at the human girl's head. She found it a bit relaxing.

There it was, the reason behind the hesitation. Still, she had not expected that it would have been a traumatic event like this. She tilted her head to the side, seemingly thinking about something. It was true that Saiyan were impulsive, especially early in their lives and during full moon phases. It were those periods where even adults often lost a grip on their minds and turned into savage beasts. Of course she knew this, because she had once seen the very event unfold before her eyes. It was during the world tournament. Her mother had removed both her own tail and that of herself in an attempt to allow for a peaceful future in their family, perhaps that was why she never had to struggle with those moments were most Saiyan went berserk. A full moon never seemed to influence her, but that was just an afterthought. What truly plagued her mind was the memory of the world tournament. It was an event she would never forget, the sight of the Saiyan turning into giant Oozaru and devastating all in their sight, a brutal wave of carnage and bloodshed. Even when her father and mother had forced her to run to the evacuation helicopters she was forced to see both of them being crushed by the rage of the Oozaru.
That time when she returned to the site and found her parents, their corpses broken like twigs as their attempts to restrain the Oozaru had met with a fatal failure. It was at that time she was ashamed of her Saiyan heritage, and of how they seemed to be such brutal barbarians. Perhaps it was also for that reason that she had decided to become a more pacifistic individual, focusing more on the paperwork of the Blue Banner Army, at least until the events with Reikiko happened.
"It's understandable... If there is one thing that the Saiyajin have in common with Earthlings then it is the fact that power and influence often mean everything in their society. They wouldn't care if you were wrong or right, if you did it on accident or on purpose. Those corpses belonged to families likely higher in prestige than your own. I guess your mother made you abandon your planet for the sake of your own survival. Perhaps not all Saiyajin have turned into the same brutes that destroyed countless families their peaceful existence at the world tournament.."
She whispered softly while she looked at Reikiko, the girl seemed to had been in a light slumber, nuzzling her head back and forth against Kaula while a peaceful smile lingered on her lips. For a moment it made Hikari think about something before she finally started speaking again, making a rather fascinating suggestion for Kaula.
"The answers you now seek can't be found in books. Yet, perhaps there might be a way for you to get closer to obtaining that power. Find the answers yourself, consider it your journey. There might even be an answer nearby."
She raised her hand a little, gently poking the cheek of the sleeping Reikiko before she continued, a soft chuckle escaping her lips as the child seemingly stirred in her slumber. If there were people who knew how to ascend into a state known as a Super Saiyan, then it might had been a fellow Saiyan, or... 'her'.
"While she has yet to recover entirely, I think your interaction with her stirred the first steps toward Reikiko's recovery. Should she recover entirely and regain her memories, then perhaps she could tell you how to ascend into a Supah Saiyajin, without the risk of succumbing to the curse this power carries."
It was a suggestion that made sense. Not only did Reikiko possess a wealth of knowledge of various events, but she also seemed to have a way of thinking that helped her analyze certain things when she was serious enough. She must had learned something surrounding the Super Saiyan transformation in order for one to be able to ascend. Still, what would Kaula end up doing with this power?
"But the question remains what you would do with this power, as I mentioned before there is a certain responsibility that comes with power. Take this girl for example. She looks so innocent, and yet at the same time she is one half of a being that could have destroyed the whole planet. She mentioned a great darkness lingers in power, and the stronger you become the deeper and more alluring this power becomes. I firmly believe that the power of a Supah Saiyajin isn't merely meant to destroy out of anger or hatred, those emotions were what led to the fall of that Supah Saiyajin in West Capitol."
She shook her head lightly, recalling how Reikiko spoke about that man's bloodlust and desire for violence. In the end after considering her next words she finally finished her explanation.
"A power to destroy those who threaten the things you hold dear. In my case I use my power to protect Reikiko, and crush those who would threaten her peace. But what desire do you have Kaula? To extract revenge on those who wronged you? To save your mother who might or might not still be alive? Until you find a clear goal for your power, and ensure it doesn't lead to your own destruction and those you hold dear then... perhaps you might become a Supah Saiyajin. Nevertheless, if you desire it you could always end up training with Reikiko. She seems to have taken a liking to you, and her power seems roughly equal to your own. Well, at least it will if you don't use those weighted boots of yours."
She winked lightly before rising onto her feet, seemingly looking down onto the two of them with a smile.
"Should I pick her up? It might get uncomfortable for you laying around here, but maybe you could wait inside the temple until Kami-sama returns, maybe he will have some words of wisdom for you."

Kaula had remained silent after she spoke. She didn't know what else to say. Hell, she didn't even really know why she told the caretaker that.. She guessed that she.. Sorta trusted her now, though she wasn't sure why. For now, though. She was content with laying there. She even closed her eyes. While the other Saiyan thought about Oozaru.. Kaula thought about something different. She was almost glad she couldn't turn to a Great Ape, if she couldn't control her normal form. Her head shook slowly for a few moments before she huffed out quietly.
"Mother may have saved my life.. But she destroyed my honor. My pride. By making me run, she took one of the things that were most important to me." she grumbled out. Sure, Kaula wasn't all bad, but she was still a Saiyan, after all.
She kept her eyes closed, grumbling a little bit at that. She had always felt a need to prove herself. She took in a deep breath at the mention of books, "Good. Don't care much for books anyway." she stated. Arrogant as always. Though the talk of a journey made her open up a single eye to glance down at Reikiko when the girl was poked. .... Did the caretaker mean her..? Was she an 'answer nearby', she wondered. All this thinking today was starting to give the Saiyan a headache.
"Are you saying.. I should stay with you guys..?" she asked, "And help the kid get better?" She thought about this for a few moments. Kaula didn't really mind it. The Caretaker seemed decent.. And the kid..? The kid was weird. But a cool kind of weird. "Guess I can.." she muttered softly.
Kaula started to wonder about what she would do with the power when she was asked. She started to wonder about that, she just.. Had been so set on it to simply get it, that she didn't really have a reason as to why. She slowly shrugged in response, "Don't know." she muttered. "I guess I'll find it when I get to it.. But, for now.. I guess I can use my power to help this little one and you.." she said with a soft sigh. She closed her eyes again, it felt.. Almost wrong. Doing something.. Good. Felt like she was fighting a current within her. She wanted to fight something. Kill something. Be violent! Greedy! But for now, she simply fought against those urges.
"Nah.. Nah.. I kinda.. I dunno.." she looked back down to Reikiko. Something about the small girl sorta.. Calmed her down, if only a little. Kaula slowly moved to sit up, trying to not disturb the girl, as she wrapped her arms, and tail, around her to keep her still as the Saiyan went to stand up, having a little bit of trouble due to both the girl and the damn weights. But she'd live. "I can.. Hold her for a bit.. If that's okay.. I really don't mind."
