'Boy, has it been a long while. Amirite, partner?'
Guardia lied back against the roof of the Southern Hospital- the very same one Chai once recovered at when he first crash-landed in this strange parallel world. Chai lied beside his partner, fingers intertwined and hands clasped together, lying atop his torso. Nine months or so ago, Chai had fled his homeworld, and left his old life behind to come here-- to a surprisingly peaceful, balanced world in comparison. Chai just nodded in response to Guardia, staring up at the starry abyss above them. The sky looked the same here, despite the difference in universes.
"...Makes me wonder how everyone's doing back home, sometimes." Chai sighed, letting himself experience a multitude of emotions. Guardia just rolled his eye, tearing his attention away from his 3DB handheld. 'Aw, come on. They're fine. Do you really think Cerci, Toma, and everyone else would go down so easily, Chai?' Guardia remarked, bringing his attention back to his Zoan Junction game. "Fair enough, G." Chai shrugged, rolling back up into a sitting position. His legs drooped down off the hospital roof's edge, kicking about slowly every now and then in the cool night air. The ground below them was alive with lights, like someone had taken a handful of glitter and thrown it as far as the eye could see. It was too dark to make out individual buildings, but the lights were enough for Chai. Once it had been a town, but its proximity to the nearby river delta and easy land connections made it a hub of trade. Unlike the newer cities it grown organically, roads twisting, houses of all shapes and sizes. There were no blocks, no grid pattern, one either knew the place or carried around a GPS.
The goat zoanthrope stretched his arms, picking up his partner by the hilt and taking off above the city, simply taking in the sights. He had had quite a bit of action since Vi's departure to Vegeta- holding down the fort on Earth as the lone active KAOS member was no easy feat. He hadn't had much time to simply appreciate the peace and life of the world in awhile. When you had everything taken, everything stomped on and destroyed without a second thought, and pushed to the limit in a living dystopia, life as a whole held a whole new perspective, filled with appreciation for the little things.
Chai stretched in the air, diving down and coming to a stop near the local library, which was only a few blocks from the hospital. He landed somewhere around here months ago- the locale and nearby service shops were awful familiar. Chai smiled, shaking his head. Life was good... Huh. Those were three words he wasn't able to string together for the longest time.
Chai's ears twitched a little, and the zoanthrope cocked his head back, his senses catching a familiar energy approaching nearby. Chai tilted his head, arms folded... "S-Shen?" He spoke quietly to himself. Guardia just groaned. 'Ack, is that guy who thinks we're time travellers REALLY here, dude?' The blade questioned, tired eye twitching a little. 'I swear. If that guy knew the truth, well... Kaios help us then.' Chai huffed, brushing off Guardia's statements. Shen was nice enough in the zoan's eyes, though a bit prodding.

(Lv:2 Shop in use) Powerlevel: 37,952 Heavy Weights:9,488 Suppressed to:6 Congac Powerlevel:5,000 Shen pocked his head out of the Library door as the last kid stepped out and waved bye to him. He was glad to see the kids were enjoying being here but so late, they needed to get home sooner rather then later. The Detective sighed stepping outside so he could catch a smoke. He looked up into the sky watching the stars for a moment. Night like these made him think of the past. A clear sky like that when he came before the rain started. He stood on the corner turning his head towards one of the large skyscraper that stood like a beacon above the city. It had not been that long the memories of Zhou once more lingering on his mind. The man had been had not been seen in such a long time, since Marcel and him beat him down. He doubted he had given up though he was just waiting for the chance to strike. He lifted the lighter looking at the engravement on the damn thing. He never understood what they meant but Zhou always told him it had meaning. It was sad really he could not help think about his friend without thinking about the demon that now held onto his body and used it to horrible deeds. He lit himself a smoke but as he went to smoke he felt a powerlevel near by he threw the cig to the ground and stepped on it. He slowly stepped out and turned to look around. As he walked around he realized there was a second signature in his surprise he must of missed it. Then he Realized who it was. It was Chai and Guardia as he stared at them tilting his hat, "Didn't expect to see you two out so late." Shen said as Congac poked his head out from the Library door. "Shen why are you out there so long i thought you were just taking a smoke." Congac voice echoed softly through the street as it was semi late. He didn't want to get a noise complaint or something. Shen turned raising 2 fingers to his partner 2 people were here the Android putting his head back in as he looked at the two of them, "Curious why you two are in the area i'd assume you two be busy working with Bba." He said nodding to Guardia. He remembered he had said boss to vi-poi. He'd assume maybe they were working with Vi. Maybe they had come to send him some message or maybe they just were here by chance. "So, i guess i should be a good host you all need something to eat we can cook something up we were about to lock it up for the Night." He pointed to the Library indicating it was his place. He looked at the two wondering what they would say. He didn't know them that well prehaps they just head off unless they had business with him. Chai

Sure enough, Shen rounded the corner, approaching the dynamic duo. Guardia's eye narrowed with suspicion while a friendly smile crept across the goatman's face, coupled with a brief wave. "Howdy-- Long time no see, Shen!" Chai beamed, approaching his tentative friend while Guardia groaned to himself internally. As for his question about the Blue Banner Army, Chai could only sigh, eyes drifting off to the sky. "Yeah, we've been really busy with work lately." The zoan scratched his chin, still keeping his trademark smile.
"Vi headed of to deal with the saiyans on Vegeta, and I don't know what the rest of KAOS have been up to, so me and Guardia are a two man army." Chai gestured to his partner, whom was still pouting in his sheath. Glancing to the quiet, desolate streets, Chai only spotted a couple walking down the road, and a few crickets chirping in a nearby bush in the night. "Though, things seem pretty quiet and calm now... At this point, I just need a break."
Then, oddly enough, Shen offered to let Chai and his partner stay over at his place, the library, for the night! Chai's brows raised while Guardia just blinked silently. "Oh, uh, sure! I don't see why not. Thanks." Chai spoke while Guardia just huffed again. 'Fine. Just don't bug me about that whole "Time Traveler" business.' The blade just huffed, shaking his hilt like a head. 'Seriously. You couldn't be further from the truth, dude.' Universal and Time Travel were two entierly different concepts, after all. "Guardia, please." Chai sighed, shoving the sword back into the depths of his scabbard. "Just, nevermind him. He's still grumpy."
'Am not!' "Are too."
Chai would follow Shen into the building, should the hybrid detective walk in with them. Twiddling his thumbs, the goat found it optimal to make some small talk for now. "Sooo, where are you from? I, uh, don't know much about you besides your name." The zoan shrugged with a meek smile.

He paused as Chai spoke telling him Where Vi was. He turned his head quickly as his mind was going 1,000 miles per hour. He really had no idea what to say about this. Shen knew of course in his mind it was the right thing to do he didn't trust the sse. Even in this war against the Md he knew that it was only a little time before there peace crumbled. It was created with rusty chains it would never hold up. He also knew Vipoi had friendships in the sse so...it could not be all that simple. "I really need to be looking more i didn't even know this was occurring." Shen said looking at Chai with a smile before he turned back. "Its odd i don't know how to feel but i know my stance on the issue." Shen wanted to reach for a cig though he didn't need to be rude right now. They were trying to talk not watch him smoke after ever sentence Chai spoke. Chai happily welcome to join him to eat though Guardia seemed less then happy about it. He didn't want him to ask if they were time Travelers he blinking a couple of times, "When people warp to a planet you assume things if it something else keep it to yourself, your here now and wherever you came from it better here then there. You've not caused any trouble either so, no point in me worrying about it." Shen said leaving it at that. He requested him not to ask about it so he'd make his peace about it then not speak on it. They were good people he didn't need to investigate every single person who lived. That would be ridiculous and pretty creepy. He stepped inside as Congac turned sorting some books on the wall, "Alright well lets head to the back that where we live kinda small but I spent all the money on the Library without thinking of where we need to relax." Congac said as Shen turned back to them as Chai asked a question and Congac skipped off to the back of the Library and opened a door that had the sign, "Do no enter Private Quarters." Shen was surprised by the question though he felt he should answer, "I am a Half Ogre. I was born in what most of you call hell and raised in what you call heaven. My Apperance is as the result of my Half demon blood hence i look more akin to human then an ogre. So i suppose i should pass along the same question, where are you from Mr. Chai." He said as he began to walk though he didn't go ahead of Chai though his focus was ahead of them as he walked through the Library which was filled with books that covered almost every wall with an all sorts of themes and concepts. At the Front near there door was also a set of Globes with different planets that showed what was on them. Planets Earth, Vegeta, Arosce, Namak, Beppa and Konats were recreated though of course far smaller then the actually planets. Chai

Chai blinked in surprise, slightly taken aback by Shen's surprise. Vi did send a message to all the Blue Banner Army members, and probably the saiyans also to initially start his claim. Shen hadn't caught ear of it, and he was a detective, right? That was a little offputting... Shaking it off, Chai nodded along, confirming his previous statement. "Y-Yeah. He sent us Blue Banner folk a message saying he was going to try and take Vegeta." His eyes drifted to the stars above. "...I sure hope he's okay. These saiyans can be a handful." Chai shrugged, glancing back to Shen. The hybrid's stance was iffy, it seemed.
"Well, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. Can't have saiyans eating up the galaxy. Didn't they take the Brenchias and Yardrat a few weeks ago, along with that failed nab at Arcose?" Chai put a hand to his chin. He shuddered, recalling that red brenchian's broadcast to the galaxy of the saiyans' horrors on the battlefield. Chai couldn't imagine how Earth even fared during the invasion about two years ago-- Right. The Invasion. Chai... wasn't around for that, but it seemed it left lasting scars on the Earth. He'd sometimes still see shops phohibiting the space monkeys, even! The nerve! But, Chai couldn't blame them. Having everything taken was... terrorizing.
"...And uh, I'm sure he hasn't forgotten that invasion from awhile back either. He's probably just concerned, and maybe even afraid for the galaxy." Chai recalled his own feelings that resonated from his own world. He slid his hands into his pockets, rolling his shoulders. In this day and age, everyone was lashing out at everyone in this world. Sure, Vi might not have followed a pacifistic route per say, but it was a just, well-meaning one nonetheless. "I respect that. Sure, it's not a perfect plan of action, but it's not like I can think of anything better! Seriosuly- At least someone's still standing up to both the Mazoku and Saiyans."
"Because between you and me, they're both kinda... bad. I don't know. I like to think there's still hope for them, though." Nonetheless, the triplex of oddballs made their way into the Shen's home, which seemed to double as the local library. Odd, but Chai was living under a bridge once, so he was not in a position to comment. Chai quickly popped his icebreaking comment, eliciting some shock from Shen. The demon hybrid's own partner, Cognac, welcomed the group before heading off into his private room. Chai couldn't help but to chuckle, putting a hand over his mouth- Shen's robot buddy reminded him a lot of Guardia!
Speaking of the blade, Chai briefly glanced down, eyeing the pouting sword. He was awful quiet for this whole conversation... Chai briefly eyed the passing globes as they walked about the book-ridden halls. Chai briefly dropped a sweat when he caught eye of a book about the Multiverse Theory, but quickly picked up his pace and followed Shen.
...He still grabbed the book just in case.
And, of course, Shen popped the question back to Chai. "Oh, me?" He pointed to himself, chuckling nervously. "Oh, you know. I'm from..." The goat's pace began to slow as he stared off at seemingly nothing. It was an awful lot like when someone's pet cat stared into an empty corner of the room, perhaps seeing something strangely undecipherable by mere humans. His thousand-yard stare was quickly shaken off by a poke to his stomach- Guardia. The blade glared up at his partner when he came to before sliding back into the darkness of his sheath. "...Places. I'm from places."
"...Yeah, that probably isn't working, is it?" Chai blinked, his bluff more than likely proving to be a miserable failure. "...I, uh, come from a scary place- I'll say that much. I come from... Earth, but not this Earth." Chai gesticulated, biting his cheek. "...It's hard to describe. If you're down for a depressing sob story and can keep a secret, then I have nothing to hide."
Guardia just groaned. 'Seriously?!' The blade questioned, clearly sick of his partner's shit. "Guardia, I... I just would like to vent out a little, if possible. It's hard k-keeping most of this bottled up. You know?"
The sword's glare softened. Sighing, he slipped back into his sheath. 'Fine, whatever.'

"Vipoi will be fine I’m not worried about him." He said with confidence, "He's strong but he always has allies to back him up i doubt he went alone." Shen keep walking, "Yes i did hear about that i knew it was going to happen too. The treaty the Saiyans and earth made to me has always been hollow. You can't change someone by just telling them to change and expect it. The Saiyans are engraved in there DNA to fight and get stronger. I just hope we can figure it all out before things get out of hand. Before the possibility the Saiyan Empire is forcing us on a back foot. I have faith in Vipoi though they will figure something out." Shen said a hand on his chin as he thought on it. He really didn't know what was going to happen but what he knew this could spark a new SSE and earth war. He knew it'd come one day whether it was now or later. Peace founded on quick sand would always sink and that was what this peace was. A city built on foundation unable to support it. He nodded to Chai as he spoke again noting that he probley had not forgotten about the invasion and he was glad at least someone was fighting both the Domain and the SSE. "I have the sneaking feeling though this Md might not be as bad we what I’m hearing however that only from what I’ve heard, makes me curious enough to try and meet Xylo in person. Never know he could be some gem in the rough at least i hope." He said putting his arm behind his head as he walked. Chai did have a point though, there was some perhaps good in each faction? He sighed moving one of his hands to his chin. "Perhaps, there is good but you can say that of anyone, they all could have good motives but there actions paint them as evil. They kill and plunder but perhaps it is only to protect them. I don't know the Md and the Ae there alliance well but I’d like to believe it existence is a direct response to the SSE not being punished in the past. They were given a slap on the wrist and now that they are a threat to the SSE there a war. I can't say if that true or not but at least hope it is. The four factions coming to some comprise to have peace but...i don't think it won't happen without more violence." Shen spoke before pausing again as he didn't notice Chai taking the book. The question he asked Chai he seemed to get all nervous about where he was from. He was surprised that he just stood there quite nervous. He said he came from earth but not this earth. He stopped moving as he turned one eye on him a semi serious look. "I can keep a secret as long as it not a threat to all of us. However i feel that one tells a secret to someone they must in turn tell a secret to the person who wishes to tell them. Keeps them both honest, and as the host here i feel inclined to tell my secret's first." Shen said calmly as they finally arrived at the door. Shen slowly opened it a small kitchen and dining room. There were 2 more doors which had name plates. On the walls were scatted and assortment of cases. Some were the norm like a case of a man disappearing one night or another a drunk man who was found dead. Then some were more supernatural with ghost sighting in the North Cities and on some farm on an island in the seas near South City. On another wall was a set of cards pinned with the faces of people like Vi-Poi, Bing, Zucceta, Koldar Frost, Tekuma and even Chai himself was even one of these boards though he had not worked on that one sometime. Each of these pictures was connected to more notes or pictures explain things he knew about them and what he learned. Under Vi-Poi he had the details of the Interview with him about the peace treaty with the Saiyans, about Zucceta and her child that she had lost. Zucceta he had a picture of the Hero, the Great Saiya-man Neo. It had another picture under comparing the features of Kaile and noting that Kaile the saiyan was the sister of the queen. Which was found out thanks to the knowledge given by Defrosh? He also had notes under the man Bing noting he was a cyborg formally thanks to Zucceta. He had some notes scribbled under he should meet him sometime but he had not made time to do that. The Koldar Notes talked how he had been on earth and he should have tried to talking to him though he never got the chance. The one on Tekuma talked on her appearance in said Hospital and made quick to note that if she was a bba member he'd have to get her fired at some point for the attempted threatening of his life and in overall was a child who should not have been given a huge dosage of authority. Finally the one on Chai had notes on his sudden appearance on earth noting his belief they were some way shape or form from an alternate world form there. It talked mostly of time travel making little if no mention of the possibility they were from an alternate universe. Shen didn't believe in that non sense but he did believe in time Travel. Pictures were on the wall of people he concluded as time travelers though he could not say if they were or not. He had never seen a time machine. On the Very back wall there was a table with a ton of files scattered about and stacked being some old case files and picture on the desk from the afterlife. The Picture was of Shen without his hat white hair flowing back as he stood with another one of his Kind. Shen gave a quick glance to the picture a sad look forming on his face. That was Zhou and that picture was almost 50 years old. Cognac came out of his room as like a spider he climbed over the wall above them landing in the kitchen area, "I got some food almost done Shen going to be a little bit." He said as Shen snapped out of looking straight at the picture nodding to his friend. "Make yourself at home i know it pretty cramped and small in here but we usually are out and about. We don't need all that much space to live in and i know it pretty cluttered as i usually work on my cases here. Because i head back to give my yearly report to the ogre back in heaven i fell behind on most of this." Shen said as he pulled up a chair for Chai to sit in at the table more at the front, "I need to get another Chair in the back for Cognac and if Guardia needs one." He titled his head looking at Chai. Maybe Guardia wanted to be out of his bag but if not it didn't matter. Cognac moved past though looking at Shen, "I'll get one don't worry i can stand if i need too or turn myself into a chair you never know right." He smiled as he skittered into Shen room to get a third chair. He pulled a chair up for himself, "Need anything to drink Mr. Chai." He said as he walked over pouring himself a glass of water. If Chai or he were going to tell any story about themselves they probley wanted something to drink. Talking of Sour Memories made the throat dry. Chai (Huge Post but had alot of fun writing this one)

Shen was confident that Vi was going to be fine. Chai frowned in uncertainty, eyes darting back up to the stars. Sure, he'd more than likely come back with only a few bruises, but the moral and emotional toll was still up in the air. Who knew how the saiyans and Vi were sorting this mess out now...? Chai shook his head, redirecting his attention back to Shen, whom spoke in response to his statement about the saiyans' offensive on the Arcosian Empire. The treaty between Earth and the saiyans was a false one, in the end. But, they couldn't just make someone change by telling them to. Chai nodded along, still remaining silent. He wanted them to change for the better, yes, but ultimately, the only ones who could control or change the saiyans were the saiyans themselves. Chai could only try and nudge them in the right direction- of course you could lead a horse to water, but you couldn't make it drink.
Shen seemed to hook onto Chai's hopeful wishes as well, believing that their was some morality in the motives of the empires. The perception of their actions, however, was where fault lied. One day, the many factions would come to peace, but perhaps not without violence. "...Well, we can dream, eh?" Chai shrugged with a forced smile. The multiverse was a wide place- he knew that much. Perhaps there was a world, or a route, that could lead this universe to a peaceful resolution?
And then came the earth-shattering "where are you from" question to the goatman. Chai's response was blunt, and after a quick exchange with his partner, Shen would respond to the zoanthrope. He'd keep it a secret so long as it wasn't endangering to the universe or something. Chai bit his lip. It almost was a danger-- if his world's Bing truly had gotten the machine before Chai had the chance to use it back home to escape...
...No. He couldn't think about those what-ifs and impossibilities now.
Shen wanted to share his own secret, though, and offered to tell his tale first. "Well, uh... Okay. Works for me." Chai shrugged again, following the hybrid into the kitchen. He let out a brief, impressed whistle as he examined the walls of the room. Seemed like Shen was kind of a conspiracy theorist, by the looks of it. Guardia examined the walls from his hiding spot. The blade's eyes trailed to the photo alongside the ogre hybrid with another one of his kind... Guardia glanced towards the detective, brow raising as he examined his sad expression. He knew those longing eyes anywhere- Chai sported them about every five seconds at this point. What if this, should have done that, and other thoughts were usually linked to that odd guilt. Guardia shrugged it off for now, making a quick mental note to pester Shen about it later. The blade flicked open his Baotendo Swap handheld, tapping away at the buttons while playing his new game, Splashdron.
Chai took a seat in a chair, nodding along in understanding when Shen spoke a little of his job and the clutter. When he went to fetch another chair, though Cognac quickly took the job instead. "Just a water, thanks." Chai responded when the ogre asked if he needed a drink. "So, uh... You said you wanted to go first with this whole secret sharing thing?" The goatman bit his cheek. "I mean-- you don't have to if you don't want to tell me whatever this thing is." He twiddled his thumbs. Sob stories for the soul, eh? The least he could do was listen, and perhaps lend a helping hand to solve Shen's mysterious troubles if he truly was going to tell his own tale. "But, uh, I'll try and help in whatever way possible if you need me for this thing, I suppose."

Shen nodded making 2 cups of water as he brought them over giving him some water. "No, it is a trust thing. As I said I feel that I have to say." Shen didn't sit down he went over the picture that he looked at earlier lifting it up and putting it on the table so they could get a closer look. "One of the reasons you two interested me was the bond you two have. I don't know what you been through but you both care for one another that much I know. The man in the picture was my partner a long time ago probably before you were born." He'd eye Chai before he went back to speaking, "We were two of the best Ghost hunting ogre's in the afterlife. His strength was immense at least at the time. This was before all this Vi-Poi, Bing, Zuccetta. Ghost used to be a lot weaker but the strength of one breeds strength in the many. We hunted many of a ghost though sealing holes in the afterlife when we could to stop the escape of more ghosts. I honestly believed if we had another 500 years we could have got it done. Long time for most but in the afterlife of an ogre it'd only be a 1/4th maybe 1/5th of our life times. That never came to pass. More than 35 Years ago my Panther was killed by a Demon of some sort that tore his soul to shreds. Us ogre when we die it usually fine we just appear back with halo and being a ghost. However, from what I understand he has torn apart. Every inch of his soul destroyed. So he was gone when I finally got back to the Afterlife and heard I made sure to chase after him."
He paused collecting himself. He drank the water the bitterness in his eyes. The anger that he was not there for his partner when he was going to die. The one time he had to be there. "The Demon used his body as a host after he killed him and escape hell. I made chase despite my orders not to. I refused to let my friend go unavenged so I chased him to south city. We did battle in this city a long battle. The only time in my life I left my Demonic urges to take hold on my body." He clenched his fist. He was still not proud of that but he was the only time he had been so angry so enraged. Every man had a limit and that day his had been broken. "I lost but Cognac saved my life got me out of there as he managed to fight me before Zhou did. Ever since I been staying in the mortal realms cause it too bitter to go back there and Zhou is still out there. 35 Years he had avoided being captured spreading his own whims. Though I suspect he went into hiding after a man I meet Marcel was able to beat him back. Regardless my story not all about that but I needed something answers. Something I can't answer myself. My job is to bring the ghost back however there an issue. He has a physical body unlike a ghost so I can't just send him back, I have to kill him. I am a man of peace and not killing others even if it a monster like him. I don't know what I can do." Flares of Doubt overcame his face. It made it even harder since it was his friend body. "I know the only one who can do this, it has to be me I can't rely on someone else to make sure he is stopped." He closed his eyes, "That is my Story, you can tell yours once you feel ready too." He said taking a sip of the water his hand shaking almost dropping it. It had been a long time but the memories were still painful. Time had not dulled them in the slightest.

Chai listened attentively to Shen's own story, with Guardia only tuning in once in awhile. The blade raised his brow when Shen commented on his bond with Chai, and how incredibly close it was. The sword remained silent, eye briefly narrowing before he turned back to his gaming device, tapping away at the controls. Shen grabbed the picture the blade eyed earlier, and spoke of how the other man was his own partner at one time! Well, since that man was nowhere to be seen now, Guardia could only assume he met a terrible fate. Chai seemed to catch wind that this story was not going to have a happy ending then as well. These kinds of tales never did end happily at first.
Shen and his mystery partner were two prominent ghostbusters in the afterlife, it seemed. But, of course, a demon had torn Shen's partner apart, soul and all. Guardia grimaced. With Chai's unyielding kindness, he wouldn't be surprised if his mercy got him killed in a similar way someday. Chai was kind, sure, but the world never was nice in return. The demon used Shen's buddy's body as a host to escape Hell. Just the word "host" sent chills down Chai's spine. Cognac saved Shen that day, and Zhou, the demon, got away. Years passed and he remained hidden... And the only way to send him back to Hell was to...
"K... Kill?" Chai blinked, eyes wide. He... shared a similar predicament. Sort of. Even though Shen's friend's body was just a mindless vessel hopefully, Chai figured striking down someone with the same body and face wouldn't be a piece of cake. But, Shen knew it had to be him to do it. Perhaps it was duty, or fate? Chai barely noticed several tears streaming down his face at this point, his single eye widened. As a pacifist, and a fellow person that has been through hell and back, Shen's story struck home.
Chai promptly wiped his tears aside, shaking his head. "I... uh... wish I could do something to help. I-- If I can, please tell me what I can do. I'll do it." He spoke, biting his lip. "But, uh... Right. My turn." Chai sucked in a breath, pausing. Just how was he going to word all of this? Guardia glanced up at his partner, eye softening with concern. This story was never easy to tell.
"So, uh, I might as well get the kicker out of the way first." Chai twiddled his thumbs, cheek puffed out somewhat. "Guardia and I are not from the future, past, or whatever. But... I do come from a whole different universe- a pane of reality where things went..." Chai paused after his first big reveal. His eyes darted to the side with hesitance. "...differently."
"My universe... It was bad. Really bad. The entire galaxy had fallen under one horrible, bloody banner. Rebellions like the one I led were quickly snuffed out. For the longest time, there was no hope for my world, and no happy ending. There still isn't."
Alright- there was the basic summary. Now for the nitty gritty, the goat told himself. His single eye darted to the pictures on the wall for a moment before locking back onto Shen. "You know Bing, right? The super nice guy that would give anything for his buddies-- or even me?" Chai paused, clear apprehension and doubt in his tone. Regardless of Shen's response, he'd continue. "Something went... wrong in my world. My realm's Bing was our worst nightmare-- the feared, all-powerful leader of the Earth, and the galaxy. Bad things happened to him, and he and plenty of other people that have been so kind to me here are complete nightmares."
"But don't get me wrong! I'm glad he found happiness here. I still want my Bing to have the chance at life that this one did as well." Chai raised his hands, a meek smile forming across his face. "So, yeah. My world's galaxy had all fallen. The saiyans, arcosians, namekians... None stood a chance to begin with. All fell under Earth's boot." Chai bit his cheek, glancing to the side again. "...And, uh, to bring up a previous thing, I was the leader of a rebellion against the Special Forces- the Crimson Strikers."
"When I took the helm, we took a more... stealthy guerrilla approach to things. One fateful day, I found plans for a machine that could traverse the universes! The stars had aligned in our favor, and the rest of the gang had never been more hopeful. There was freedom, somewhere. Hope, somehow." Chai smiled, genuinely this time. It faded quickly. "...If only it was that easy."
"Bing found out about our plans. He tried to take our machine for his own use... Kaios help the multiverse if he did get it." Chai muttered, shaking his head. "My allies and I gave everything to defend out last bastion... That day, I lost so many of my buddies. D-Death was... no release, either." The traumatized goatman paused, eyes glassy. He'd leave Shen to speculate what fate would be worse than death. "I managed to escape with the machine so Bing wouldn't use it, but back home, everyone is still suffering. They're... they're..."
"I'm... j-just so scared for them. They're still hurting, and there's nothing I can do now..."
Chai wiped some tears aside, finally locking his eye back to Shen. "So, uh... T-that's our story here."

He had finished his story Chai had tears going down his face. He was surprised by this as he closed his eyes as he asked if he needed any help, "No it's just good to know someone knows. I don't want to try and hide if I kill him if that occurs. I want to take responsibility for my actions even if only 3 people in the world know." Shen said opening his eyes, "Right I'm ready." Shen said as he looked at Chai waiting to listen to his story. First things first he explained he was not from the future or the past. He raised an eyebrow he found it impossible. Then he explained he was from a whole other universe. Shen jaw nearly dropped a shock looked on his face. His mind was racing Chai had single handily proved thousand years of science that humanity had debated. Shen looked at Chai not saying anything yet. He didn't want to interrupt his story. Chai had not so he felt he had to do the same. Know that he knew they were from an alternate universe it eased him slightly. If they were from some terrible future then that means he was going to be worried about what could be happening to everyone in the future. His Universe was under some bloody banner which his mind assumed was the Saiyans seeing as it could not have been the Domain and no one else came to mind that would do that. Maybe an evil Vipoi but even then. He then told him it was Bing Gan he clicking his teeth. He knew who Bing Gan was.
Guardian of Earth and former cyborg of the SSE. He nodded his head to let Chai know he knew who Bing Gan was as he explained he had become an evil version of himself. It was something Shen feared himself it only took 1 bad day, one unlucky moment and one would be drenched in the path of evil. Any one of them could be monster and villains even the purest. In this Universe, he had gained the power to defeat all of them. The Bba, The Saiyan empire, the Namakian, the Aroscian anyone who stood in his way and he ruled the universe. There was still hope in groups of Resistance and he was their leader. The Leader of the Crimson Strikers. He explained they had found a machine that allowed them to go to different universes but this Bing tried to take the plans. He was glad they fought to make sure they didn't take them. They fought to save the world and while they hadn't yet maybe one day Chai could return with the means to save his world. "Chai maybe you can't do anything yet but you've fought and you've put your life on the line. I don't have any doubts one day you'll save them. Their strength and courage all of those who fell whether there being controlled or are dead a small shred of them will always be a part of them. There won't die in vain I know it in my heart." Some of it he said to make him feel better but someone of it he believed. Chai was not alone someone was here to help if peace ever came perhaps that would be the next step. Cognac finally came back out with a chair before checking the food, "Who hungry we got some Spaghetti and meatballs." He said picking up the pot and bringing it over with bowls so they could all take some out to eat.
