((Thread PL: 11 423 Heavy Weights active! Sensed PL: 2855.75)) Gira literally ran out the front of the school building. It was winter break and she refused to be kept there any longer. Other than boxing practice and the subsequent championship, the winter was all hers; and she planned on using it to get stronger. Just the other day, she spent almost half of her savings to buy weighted training gear and an insta-change watch for her superhero exploits. The watch was on her wrist at all times, but her weights sat at home now, just waiting for her to try them out. The excited teen didn't even wait to meet up with her best friend, Kaci. She booked it right for home. Eventually, she got tired of the slow speed she moved at and decided to fly the rest of the way. After looking to make sure no one could see her, the girl smirked and leaped into the air. She used her ki to keep herself afloat a few thousand feet, making sure she wouldn't be spotted. Once she made it home, the hybrid said hi to her mom quickly and headed up to her room. After locking her door, Gira looked around suspiciously. She then reached under her bed and pulled out a large trunk. "Hehe, there you are~" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small iron key. After inserting it into the keyhole, the lock popped with a soft " click." Gira excitedly opened the chest and moved the junk she had on top of her prize. There it was; her weighted gear. She had gone the simple route, buying a set of dark blue gi with a red belt. The weights were heavy; she got the heaviest ones she could find. Throwing off her black skirt and her white blazer with her school's logo, she quickly slipped on the gear. "Wow..." She felt the weight immediately. It was a little difficult to move around, but Gira knew that was what made it effective. She would get even stronger with these weights added to her training regimen. Gira posed in the mirror, liking her new look. She looked like an actual warrior now. The hybrid was really quite proud. In these past couple of months, she grew to heights she never thought possible. And with her recent terrifying encounter with those two Super Saiyans, she now had a new goal to reach. Gira hummed happily as she left her room. Thankfully, her mom wasn't home yet, so she didn't have to sneak out to avoid her see Gira in her gi. The girl bounded out the door, locking up the house before walking around the city. "Wow, just walking in these things is a workout." But Gira didn't plan on just walking, though. No, she needed to train. Now was the perfect time. It was time to kick off her winter of training. Excitedly, the girl flew off towards her training grounds. She was acting like a child that wanted to play with their new toy. But things would not go as planned. Gira had only just begun to fly when she saw smoke coming from the eastern part of the city. From the air, she could see that emergency vehicles were already on the way. "Crap, I gotta help with that. Thankfully, this'll now come in handy." Gira pressed the read button her watch. The outfit first began to form over Gira from the watch, her silver sleeve spreading out as the rest of her outfit appeared on her body. Her silver helmet was the last thing to appear. Striking a pose, Gira pointed towards the disaster. "When doom is near, have no fear! The Watcher of West Capitol will always be here!" She readied herself. "Watcher awaaaay!" She then zoomed towards the fire as fast as she could. When she arrived on the scene she saw a horrific sight; several small buildings were up in flames, the blaze inching ever-nearer to a large apartment complex that must have been twenty stories high or more. Many lives would be lost if the blaze struck that building. Gira landed amidst the firefighters working tirelessly to put out the blaze, but to no avail. Gira wracked her brain to figure out what she could do to help. There was just too much fire for her to put it out on her own before it spread to the apartments. Our hero had only seconds to figure out what she was going to do. If only there was someone who could help! Someone who would come along at just the right moment! Chai

'AHAHAHA! GUARDIA WINS AGAIN!'
"Oh, come on! How'd you move up so fast?!"
Chai fiddled furiously with his game remote, sitting on the ledge of an octagonal fountain in the central square of the West Capitol. In the plaza, pigeons outnumbered the red paving slabs. Just to walk from the tall terraced houses around the edges with their stores at ground level, would require one to take small steps to avoid kicking the gray birds. The fountain water sprayed liquid into the air air from the lips of a stone mermaid statue. The droplets arc high before cascading down at the will of gravity. While Guardia let out a telepathic huff, Chai would fiddle with his new Baotendo Swap in his four-fingered paws. Not many games were out on the elusive system yet, so the goat was playing a remastered version of the very first Majin Kart with his partner. Normally they would have played in their quarters at the BBA HQ, but Chai insisted on getting some fresh air.
Guardia tossed his repote into the air, promptly giving it a twirl as he caught it. 'What can I say? I guess I'm just gifted at this game, Chai.' The sword boasted, eyeing the results screen. The rookie blade had beat the veteran player Chai by just two points, causing the goat to huff, slouching over. "Well, looks like I'll have to practice a little more. You won't hold your title for long, champ!" The goatman proclaimed, placing a finger on Guardia's hilt to give him a quick poke. The blade just glared back with unwavering confidence.
'Fight me.'
"Oh, I certainly will-... Hey, do you smell that?"
'Chai, you know damn well I don't have a nose.'
A strange smoky scent invaded Chai's keen nostrils, causing the goat's muzzle to scrunch in discomfort. Glancing to the side and away from their tiny game screen, Chai would gasp when he caught eye of columns of wispy black smoke meandering into the clouds above. Fire trucks and ambulances whizzed past, the street cars parting to the sides to create a path... 'Oh no... Is that where...' Guardia began, his eye wide as a saucer. 'C-Chai! Pastabilities!! The fire is where Pastabilities is!!!' The sword snapped, recalling his favorite restaurant. Quickly plucking the blade off the ground, the goat flew into the air, soaring towards the fiery scene...
Guardia let out a loud gasp when he caught eye of the burning buildings- thankfully the pasta restraint was untouched- for now. But the flames were creeping closer and closer to the large apartment complex on the left and the world-famous restaurant on the right... With a flick of Guardia's hilt, his blade would turn a wispy blue coloration. The goatman dove past a silver-clad individual, sweeping his sword forwards with a yell, sending a crescent of icy blue ki towards one building. Upon contact, ice crystallized in mass around the front of the fire, spiraling up in spires and crystals, though the goat was careful to leave the exits of the building untouched.
The flames ate away at the ice from Guardia's Crystal Crescent attack, watter dribbling down to part some of the flames slowly... But it still wasn't enough to prevent the spread. Gritting his teeth, the Blue Banner Soldier would only now take note of the Watcher behind him.. 'Oi! Who are you, weirdo?' Guardia was the first to snap at the oddly-dressed superhero. '...Ah, whatever. You helping or not?'

Gira growled at the fire. 'Damn it, what can I do!? Either way, lives are going to be lost.' Around the time Gira was just about to go forward and just do her best, a shape darted past her, wielding a sword that carried an azure glow. With a single arcing sweep, a mass of ice formed around a restaurant, protecting it from the blaze for now. She gawked at the display, but was snapped out of it by a telepathic voice calling her a weirdo. She could definitely get that. Most people don't go around gallivanting in silly costumes with ridiculous monikers. The hybrid wondered where the voice came from, however. Was it the horned creature near her? Questions for later. When asked if she was going to help, Gira nodded. "Fear not, my fellow ally of justice! The Watcher has an idea!" Gira looked around the tops of the buildings, looking for something.
'There!' Gira spotted three water towers on the tops of some nearby buildings as well as a fire hydrant nearby, but it was in use by the fire department. Still, she figured that the water towers would be enough. Gira pointed up at the towers, explaining her plan. "The water towers. If we can pull them off of the tops of the buildings, we'll have all the water we need! You keep working on the restaurant. I'll handle the side of the blaze headed for the apartments!" Regardless of whether or not Chai agreed with the plan, Gira would follow through with her part. With a mighty leap, Gira went from where she stood to the tops of one of the buildings.
"Okay... let's see here..." The water towers were attached to massive concrete slabs on top of the buildings, secured in place by thick bolts. For a normal person to remove them would take much heavy equipment, tools, and several minutes at least. Luckily, Gira was far from normal. She let out a breath, wrapping her arms around the metal tank filled with hundreds of gallons of water. The hybrid superhero groaned with effort, lifting up on the tank. The concrete buckled and cracked with the incredible force pulling up on it. Finally, the concrete faltered and broke around the bolts, releasing the water tower.
Gira grinned. "Yes!" She floated into the sky with her prize, hovering over the massive fire. Holding the tank above her head with one hand, the teen half-Saiyan punched through the metal shell, ripping a wide hole in the tank. Water began to flow out freely as Gira let it fall over the blaze. It appeared the plan was working. As the hundreds of gallons flowed out, the blaze where the liquid fell began to fade. as the water fell on it. The firefighters noticed what was going on and cheered Gira and Chai as they redoubled their efforts against the ever encroaching fire, more confident now that they had two capable people (and a capable blade) on their side.
[OOC] lol "Pastabilities." That's just great.]

Guardia's Crystal Crescent technique managed to contain the flames, causing the blade to sigh with relief. Promptly directing his attention to the aforementioned "weirdo" alongside his weary partner, Chai's eyes would dart to the flames and the self-proclaimed "watcher", who seemed to have an idea. Chai raised a brow as she spoke. He... didn't have a good track record with vigilante heroes, but this woman seemed nice enough so far. Perhaps his luck was getting a little better? Chai wouldn't get his hopes up, though. After what happened with Pieter, the goat was weary around unauthorized "heroes."
Still, the Watcher of West City had a good idea. Chai's eyes drifted to the water towers, which would hold all the water they needed to douse the flames. It was up to Chai to save Pastabilities, while his new partner would handle the apartments. "R-right!" Chai spoke with a nod, brows furrowing. The zoanthrope eyes his blade, then the blazing restaraunt. The structure was a good three stories tall, and with a quick whiff of his ki sense, the goat would locate several diminishing energies inside! It was still occupied- people were going to be burned alive inside if he didn't act!
"Guardia- you get the water, I'll do some search and rescue. T-there's people in there still!" Chai proclaimed, causing the blade's eye wo widen momentarily. Shaking his form like a head, resolute determination returned to his glare. 'Aye aye, captain!' You can count on the great and mighty Guardia!' Guardia shouted, flying out of Chai's grip, and whizzing past Gira.
While Chai took a deep breath in before dashing into the smoke, Guardia would perch himself on top of a water tower beside Gira. Narrowing his now glowing eye, screws and panels would be lifted off of the tower's jewel of water with the demon's telekinetic abilities. The metal orb shifted and shook briefly as it was freed from it's metal confines. Promptly lifting the tank with his telekinesis at the same time Gira rose hers into the air. Guardia couldn't sense ki, but she certainly had some amount of control over strength to do the same without busting the tank.
Meanwhile, Chai would quickly lower his goggles onto his eyes and wrap his bandanna around his muzzle to better protect him from the smoke. Still coughing as he trudged through the toxic tunnel of vapor, one hand on the wall to better guide himself through the burning building. One energy signature was awful close now, though Chai could feel it slowly fading away. Shaking his head, the goat picked up the pace of his trudge through the smoke, although the smog slowly swallowed his diminishing stamina. Chai, despite all his strength, still had lungs as vulnerable as any other Earthling... He had come in a ways into the smoky maze now. Were Gira and Guardia doing okay out there?
While Chai's lungs slowly began to shrivel, Guardia would whistle to himself as he slowly dumped the now open tank of water onto the flames while the Watcher did the same. With two fell swoops, the outside flames of the apartment and restaurant began to fade, though smoke still billowed through the windows. The majority of the fire had been taken care of, yes, but the internal flames that were hidden from the water continued to burn. '....Hey! Lady!' Guardia chimed after a moment of inspection. 'I, uh, think we missed a spot.'

Gira was in the middle of putting out the fires around the apartment building when a sword suddenly shot past her. It was the same sword that the goat man known as Chai wielded. It all clicked in Gira's mind. That was the voice she heard a little bit ago. Apparently, Chai had an intelligent sword at his side. The hybrid watched in awe as the sword picked up the tank with its telekinetic abilities. With the external fire put out, Guardia drew the Watcher's attention to the rest of the flames.
Of course! They were too focused on what was going on outside. The flames had reached the buildings and they were going up fast. "Curses..." She scanned the surrounding area for something she could use to put the flames inside the restaurant out. When her eyes rested on one of the firemen, she got an idea. The teen hybrid landed in front of the man. "Could I borrow your hose?" The fireman nodded and handed the silver clad superhero his fire hose. At that time, Gira sensed several dropping energies inside the restaurant. It seemed Chai needed help. "Your friend is in trouble! I'm gonna see if I can help him!" Gira flew towards the burning restaurant, fire hose still in hand.
Gira burst through the front of the building coughing from the presence of smoke. "Wow, this is rough." Gira pulled the lever on the hose, a torrent of water bursting forth. The massive amounts of water put out the flames in the hero's way. She advanced, putting out the fire as she went, following Chai's energy until she came out in a hallway with him. The flames she put out helped to thin the smoke, but the smoke that remained was still choking them. They had to think about what to do quickly.
