"I have to say, not bad work Dr. Slouch," Cipher said as he flexed the fingers on one of his hands. The artificial skin, muscle, and everything had been restored to the limb, as well as most of his body. After returning to Earth, the android had made his way to Site A to complete the repairs made on himself. Sure, Charlene's body had worked for the time being, but there was nothing like having access to all of the BBA's technology to ensure everything was done properly. Dr. Slouch nodded as he focused on connected the nerves in one of his other arms, the fingers twitching. "If you think this is impressive, you should see what I've done for the Premier." Granted, Cipher and Vipoi were both different beasts in their own right. What worked for Vipoi might not necessarily work for Cipher and vice versa. But as such, he was proud at how both of them had turned out. "Though I must say, your daughter did a rather good job with that temporary body. Especially since she cobbled it together from spare parts." Over in the corner, Charlene, Cipher's daughter, beamed. Dr. Slouch hadn't so much as replaced the temporary as built onto it, incorporating most of it into Cipher's new, fully fixed form. Charlene had started the work, and Dr. Slouch was finishing it. Cipher smiled and nodded. "Indeed. That's why I wanted to ask you. Do you think you could take Charlene into the science corp? I feel she could learn a lot being under your tutelage." Dr. Slouch blinked, surprised by the request before looking over at Charlene. Sure, the scientist had helped and instructed his subordinates now and again, but when had he actually taken on a student? At least one worth his time and patience. Then again, at the age of eleven, the girl had managed to build up a rather decent android body from spare parts. Then there was that Metal Jacket she was working on. The girl already had a major head start over others. A small smile appeared on his old face. "You know, I think I will. She certainly has the qualifications for it." he then turned to Charlene, pointing his tool in her direction, "Though I must insist you not use our tech to make any more of your crazy inventions, or anything else that explodes." "I make absolutely no promises." the girl replied, with a small smirk on her face. It was like she was haggling with a car salesman. "Then make sure they don't explode anywhere on BBA sites. And no making wild confectionery machines in the kitchens." "How about we keep those, and I don't set booby traps around the base." "Deal."Cipher could only blink and then chuckled. When he had thought about getting Charlene into the science corp, this wasn't what he had in mind. Still, at least Slouch would instill a sense of responsibility in Charlene and hopefully curb her more manic tendencies. As he watched Dr. Slouch reach for a cigarette as he worked, he only hoped he didn't give his daughter any bad habits in exchange. Chai

Chai was still getting acquainted with the BBA. After meeting Mammon at the main complex that one time while Vi was out settling a territorial dispute in Satan City, Chai decided to better investigate his new workplaces. The newest recruit to KAOS decided to stop by the isolated home of the Science Corps in his spare time while Guardia was off running errands. The zoan now donned the same black vest with a light blue undershirt with black pants and shoes, along with Guardia's empty sheath that he first wore when he applied for a position in the Ki Assault Operations Squadron. His now shiny fur was combed back, no longer hanging from his forehead in unkempt locks.
Chai let out a sigh as he looked down to his Z-Phone. Guardia hadn't been answering his texts for a few hours now... Was the sword okay out there? Hopefully he didn't get too distracted- getting groceries was a simple enough task. Right? Shaking his head, Chai quickly slipped the phone into his pocket, letting out a sigh. It was best not to worry about it- Guardia was more than capable on his own. He still had to tell Vi of the other universes also- maybe Vivian could be let into the secret also. Both androids seemed to be quite interested in Chai's past.
The zoan reached into his pocket, pulling out a small capsule with a tattered red ribbon wrapped around it. Inside the little container rested Chai's busted Universe-Hopper, the Perdiem. He believed it to be broken beyond repair, and was in nowhere near strong enough to return home right now. He'd just get his ass handed to him again on a silver platter by the president. The materials needed to fix it seemed to be undiscovered in this world as well. Dark Adamantium, LOADS of Resillium, tesla nanofibers, and fluxite were needed to fix the engine. And that wasn't even accounting for what was needed to strengthen the hull again! Chai didn't want the thing to combust while traversing between universes.
Taking a deep breath in again, the goat stood up, his ki senses quickly picking up the presence of Dr. Slouch, whom he had briefly met when he got acquainted Vi and joined KAOS... It was risky to tell the man of his origins now, but at the very least, having him look at the device to see if it was even possible to be repaired would be useful.
After traversing through the maze that was Site A, the goatman would find himself soon trotting into a spacious room in the building. Dr. Slouch was by what appeared to be a weaker human, and some kind of android- Chai couldn't sense the latter's energy. "H-Howdy!" The newest recruit to KAOS chimed with a quick wave. "Dr. Slouch, was it? Nice to see you again! I was, uh, hoping you could take a look at a little something for me." Chai spoke with a meek smile, walking up to the group before turning to Cipher and Charlene. "And, uh, who might you two be? I'm Chai- Newest member of the Ki Assault Operations Squadron.

All eyes turned to the door as it opened, and a goat zoan stepped inside. While zoans weren't exactly an uncommon occurrence, especially in the BBA, Cipher immediately sensed the high power this young man had. There also seemed to be a second one, coming from...his sword? Well, Cipher had seen weirder things. The young man introduced himself as Chai, a new member to KAOS. Cipher remembered reading about him. One of the new recruits alongside Vivian. Cipher gave a small nod in Chai's direction. "A pleasure to meet you Chai. I'm Cipher 24, also of KAOS." he then gestured a hand towards the little girl, "And this is Charlene, my daughter, and just freshly brought into the BBA's science division." The girl gave a casual wave to the goat zoan, "Sup. Did you know your sword's alive?" Cipher gave a small sigh. Trust his daughter to be blunt like that. "I'm sure he's more than aware Charlene." The girl shrugged. You never knew. Dr. Slouch remained quiet during the little introductions before speaking up. "I'm a little busy putting the finishing touches on Cipher's new body here. Once I'm done I can take a look at whatever you need." He took another puff of his cigarette, and Cipher unconsciously shifted Charlene so he was between her and the chain smoking scientist. He then turned his gaze back to Chai, looking over him curiously. From what he had read, the young man was certainly promising. Chai

The android introduced himself as Cipher 24, a fellow member of KAOS. In hindsight, Chai noted that he hadn't met the other KAOS members yet. There was Nova, whom he hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet, Vivian, Vi himself, now Cipher, and... Other people he didn't know. Charlene was Cipher's daughter, whom was newly recruited into the army's Science Corps. Division. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you both!" The zoanthrope spoke with a smile. "Might as well get acquainted if we're gonna work with each other in the future, no?" The suited goatman suggested with a shrug.
Charlene spoke, asking if Chai knew that his blade partner was alive. It seemed Guardia had already began to grow a name for himself in the army- a walking, talking, breathing sword was certainly an interesting anomaly. As much as the demon wanted to be free from his inanimate confines, he loved the attention he received from simply being a living weapon. "Oh, so you've heard about Guardia?" Chai inquired with a smile, glancing off to the side as he recalled his partner's... shenanigans. "He's off shopping right now, but I'm sure he would be happy to meet you in the future."
"Guardia... sure loves attention, to say the very least." The goatman spoke with a sigh. He knew he was more than likely spoiling the demonic blade. He had a pool, a little hammock to sleep in, his own room in the works, a slide... Chai found that he was too nice for his own good sometimes. But at least Guardia never took advantage of Chai's kindness.
His fingers twiddled with the capsule in his pocket as Chai remembered why he had came here in the first place. Right- the Perdiem. "As for the thing that needs inspection..." Chai began, pulling the capsule out of his pocket. His expression twisted to uncertainty quickly... It was more than likely Cipher and Slouch would get suspicious of the universe-hopper's origins and function. Almost certain. Biting his lip after a few moments of hesitation, the zoanthrope would toss the capsule forwards after tapping the top of it.
With a puff of smoke, the twenty-foot long, ruined Perdiem basked in the light of the sun above from the room's skylights. It's hull was cracked open, a strange engine sparkling with multicolored energy. Unidentifiable crystals, mysterious metals, and many more alien elements that had yet to be discovered in this world shone in the machine's inner workings. Chai walked over to the machine that was meant to be the Rebellion's saving grace, putting a hand on it's hull. A few sparks arced up and shocked the goat, causing him to pull his hand back. Smoke began puff out of the many holes in the machine, originating from the stress of the inter-dimensional travel, and several ki blasts it tanked back in Chai's world. Lights flickered on and off, and a few low, dying beeps flew from it's control panels.
"...This is the Perdiem. My, uh... Spaceship." Chai began, running his hand across the intact part of the hull. "Please, I must ask you to... not get too curious about it." He concluded, closing his eyes with a brief shudder. "There are some questions I simply cannot answer just yet." Chai spoke while the vessel continued to spark, refusing to die just yet.

Cipher nodded at Chai's words. Cipher had been keeping himself from his fellow KAOS operatives for too long. It was time Cipher reconnected with those he was supposed to work with Vivian was a start, and now Chai looked like a good place to turn. "Indeed. Even outside of a crisis, we should be working together to maintain the peace. It's good to see KAOS getting some fresh blood after all this time." KAOS had been a little lacking as of late, with many of its members disappearing. When was the last time Cipher had seen Liang around? Charlene was a little disappointed that the sentient sword wasn't around. She had so many questions for it. Could it shoot laser beams? Could it cut through anything? Could it change shape? Charlene hadn't been so giddy about an object since she had seen Bing's sentient glasses. When Chai showed his 'ship' to them, all three looked at the machine with curiosity. Cipher remained seated while Slouch and Charlene looked over to inspect it. "Man, what the hell did you do to this thing? Get drunk and take it out for a joy ride?" Charlene said, looking at the damage, "Because that sounds both awesome and scary at the same time." Dr. Slouch looked over the wrecked ship. "I'm getting the impression you want me to fix this," the scientist murmured, sending a glance in Chai's direction, "Yet you tell us not to get too curious about it. That's going to make it, a little difficult." "Well I can honestly say the first thing you should do is power this thing down. Letting it run in this condition will only mess it up further." Dr. Slouch nodded, "Agreed."Cipher looked at Chai curiously. If this was a simple repair request, why go all the way to Dr. Slouch, and even then why be so secretive around it? Cipher was getting the feeling there was more to him than he was letting on. Chai
