Endivia is quite an atypical example of a pure-blooded Saiyan, seeming to forgo the usual warrior’s pride in favour of a much calmer and peaceful outlook on life. Though her character may seem the general antithesis of everything that defines the Saiyan race, the fact of the matter is that she still possesses some of those stoic traits. Though not vain and boastful of them, she is proud and confident in her abilities; confident enough that she rarely sees the point of exhibiting them to others, as she feels she has nothing to prove when it comes to fighting. As far as she is concerned, simply being a Saiyan is proof enough of her capabilities as a warrior.
However, Endivia is not entirely without common flaws. Whilst her competitive vainglory is near enough absent, there are things which she is obsessive about when it comes to demonstrating what she can do. The biggest of these things happens to be music, for this cosmic combatant has long since been captivated by the skill and might of some of the Universe's most powerful rhythmic wonders. Burning with a fiery passion, Endivia strives to prove herself a musician of unrivalled calibre, waging war upon the cosmos through a power that she deems capable of uniting all.
To many, ‘Chicory’ can seem rather placid and patient, taking many of the world's happenings in her stride. It can be very difficult to irritate and aggravate this woman, mostly due to her usual dismissal of that which many a sapient race seems to feel necessary, but she is not completely of cool temperament. She might be more than likely to simply walk away from a fight, but persistence will steadily wear upon her nerves until the point that she snaps - the point at which her calmness deteriorates and she will more than likely try and beat someone into silence. As she would put it; a good musician knows when to shut up.
Appearance
Standing at 5’11” (180 cm), Endivia is of relatively average size for a Saiyan, and appropriately possessed of a toned, sleek physique symbolic of her ancestry. Her skin tone is a healthy, fair bronze, and her complexion a tad darker. She is somewhat lengthier of leg, but otherwise holds a more average Saiyan shape. As per the norm, she possesses a lengthy, slender tail dressed in taupe fur (a shade of brown very close to black).
The facial features of Endivia are quite keen, with a fine nose and thin lips, defined by narrow eyes of very dark chestnut colouration. Her brow is sharp, giving her a somewhat focused or even angry façade if she so much as shows anything more than a neutral facial expression. Her jawline is very slightly squared, giving her otherwise oval visage more of a heart shape. As is typical of Saiyans, ‘Chicory’ possesses dark hair; glossy, jet black waves that fall to her upper back. Her locks are usually tied back into a sort of bushy pony tail, leaving the shorter mop around her fringe and temples to frame her face.
Endivia's typical attire tends to be quite asymmetrical, donning what might be considered ‘fashionable’ by human youths; cropped shirts which leave one shoulder exposed, or have a full sleeve on one arm, but not on the other. The same sort of choices tend to apply to her lower half, such as jeans with one full leg and another cut short with torn edges. Generally, she favours these abnormal human styles as (when compared to typical Saiyan attire) they are more fitting of a musician of her style.
Tohnari ~ A six-string guitar crafted from ebony timber, its name translates as ‘Distant Peals (of Thunder)’. It is Endivia’s primary instrument and, while it is nothing truly special, she looks after it as if it were some sort of prized blade. Though not a necessity, the Saiyan woman can essentially channel her Ki through the instrument’s strings. This serves no real purpose, but it certainly feels powerful!
Background
Born on the long rejuvenated Saiyan homeworld of Vegeta, Endivia began her life in the typical fashion. A member of the cosmos’ warrior race, it was no surprise that the girl was soon expected to train and grow strong of her own accord from the moment she was able to walk. Forming a fist was indeed one of the first things the child was capable of beyond simple movement, and her martial prowess only grew stronger as she passed through her childhood years. All in all, Endivia’s earlier years were nothing out of the ordinary for a Saiyan girl; developing the use of her Ki to unleash basic energy attacks and achieve the power of aerial mobility.
It was as she entered the middle stretch of her teenage years that the Saiyan siren truly started to develop an ideology all of her own. Fighting for the sake of fighting (an almost instinctual desire infused within the bloodline of the Saiyan race) was something she started to grow less concerned of. Rather, she began to develop a taste in something else, and that something was music. Nature was full of sounds, as too were the throes of combat, but there was nothing quite as powerful - nothing quite as empowering as the rawest musics that sapient races produced. Some saw it as an art form, or as a means to attain peace and unity; Endivia saw it as that, and much more.
Though she did not surrender her martial ability entirely, the ‘Saiyaness’ had become increasingly more intrigued in the mastery of melody, pursuing it as any normal Saiyan might have pursued the chance to show their strength. Now in her very early twenties, the prime of her life bestowed unto her at nature’s passive whim, Endivia chose to leave her homeland behind in search of something which she could not quite name. A sense of fulfillment, perhaps? Or, as was more likely, simply an untamed and indomitable desire to do what her race seemed to do best: show off.
Arriving on the planet Earth, which many of her kinfolk still considered to be a world of ‘weakness’, Endivia adopted a new name - the stage name of ‘Chicory’ - and thus started to walk along a path to power. Armed with a guitar whose strings resonated with her own Ki, the young woman quickly grew accustomed to the diversity of tastes that the human and Zoanthropic races possessed when it came to the music industry. Some preferred the quieter, dulcet tones of a steady orchestra. But there were many who seemed captivated by the raw, powerful energies of the Saiyan sensation’s performances. And yet, she was still just a distant star, light years away from the fame and fortune that Earthen entertainers seemed to bask in. She was going to have to change that.

Nostalgic Ayumu – An elderly soul met during her brief walkabouts in Ginger Town, the old man proved himself a sentimental fool. Their meeting was short, unusual, and Endivia has yet to get a good picture of what this fellow’s all about.
@namorel – A Namekian whose solemn behaviour and fresh demeanour in regards to music helped Endivia climb out of her discouragement. The green man’s assistance most welcome, it is thanks to him that Chicory has returned to her live performances, once again prepared to face the Earthlings who once rebelled against her presence.

A type of Ki blast in which Endivia strums her guitar with a forceful flick, casting out a chevron of raw energy capable of slicing her target. It can be used without her guitar, also, via a flick of the hand, dealing damage equal to 33% of her Power Level.

Endivia plucks forcefully at her guitar’s strings, sending out a wave of sound and Ki energy that surges out around her. It is an area of effect attack, but is only effective at shorter ranges. The shock wave deals damage equal to 33% of her Power Level to the first target the wave connects with.
