Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
"This should be a nice change of pace." Namorel said to himself as he rose to his feet. He had been in the plains for some time now, he had seen it on his way back to the mountains the day before hand, ans he thought it a calming place. Upon returning some of his belongings to the brown, rocky cavern. The ground of the cave had moistened up some since he was last there, due to the large amounts of snow still melting around it. Namorel had to dig another alcove in the rocky walls in order to get his belongings higher up and out of the way of the water.
Now, however, Namorel sat in the grassy grotto of this plains. In the distance he could hear the clucking of chickens and the sounds of the ostriches that also lived here, under the watchful eye of the humans and other races. It was a fine and calm day, the sun giving a soft, warm glow into the grassy plain and warming Namorel's skin, but not to the extent that the desert had done a few days before hand.
The plains reminded him of Namek, the expansive plains contained in the islands that spanned the archipelagos of the planet. Life always thrived in these rain blessed places of the world, giving the greenest of grass and softest of soils. He was meditating, biding his energy to the center of his being, unknowing that he was actually releasing his ki into the area around him. Despite this he cleared his mind, but kept his ears alert, so that no one could sneak up on him to attack him, for he had come to mistrust many of the beings on this planet. Only those he had directly met so far he had gotten a good concept of,but none of them were human.
His breathing would be slowed and he would almost appear dead to those that could not sense ki energy. His legs crossed and his hands and lower arms laying to a rest on his legs, palms on his knee caps. Despite his calmed state memories began to flood his mind, once more making him regret his leaving of Namek. "Was it really necessary?" He asked himself quietly, his mouth almost not moving as he said this to himself. He hoped to find his purpose here on Earth... to become stronger for his father and for everyone else.

It was quiet. The world around her was quiet. Save for the distinct warble of small birds and the steady bubble of a tranquil stream, little to no sound permeated the equally tranquil atmosphere of the Spinach Wastes. To that end, Endivia felt at ease. Then again, it was difficult to make her feel uneasy in places such as these. Driven out of society and still yet to try her hand at meshing back into it, the former musical sensation that was Chicory only ever felt out of whack in the presence of humans. Not all humans were bad, of course. She’d met her fair share of people who cared little for the fact that she had a tail. It was just the fact that enough of them were still wary of Saiyajin to warrant a general disdain of her kind. Or, she considered, maybe she was just scared…?
“Huh,” she sighed. “I need to stop stewing about that…”
A light breeze made the dark violet shrug she wore flutter slightly as she walked across the grass – a stretch of emerald enriched by the warming rays of sunlight that beat down from above. It was nice to feel the coolness of the rich, lush blades between her toes as she idly made her way. She had no particular place to go; not even the slightest hint of desire to go anywhere, if she was to be completely honest with herself. The dark-haired demoiselle had no appointments to attend to, no concerts to be at, and no manager to tie her down. That was the glory of being a freelance musician.
Speaking of which…
Drawing the ebony instrument that was Tohnari from its place upon her back, Endivia sat herself down upon the grass, resting the guitar upon her lap while holding its neck in one hand.
“This place is too quiet,” she muttered, tuning the instrument slightly. “I guess it’s time to liven things up!”
The moment her fingers graced the steel strings, the energy began to flow. A gifted guitarist she was, Chicory had developed herself to the point of being able to channel her Ki – her very own life force – through the chords of her trademark acoustic ally. Every song she played seemed enthused with an uncanny amount of emotion and energy, and this masterpiece was no exception. Energetic, natural, it flowed through her fingertips with ease, and every plucked strand sent that very same liveliness resonating throughout the environment…

Namorel
Powerlevel: 2,700
The verdant landscape blanketed the landscape around Namorel, the refrreshing smell of the grass around him made meditation here so much easier than in the mountains where he had been staying previously. Not only that, but out here he could still seclude himself from those that looked upon his race with dismay. He had yet to see any other namekians on the planet and it was honestly kind of lonely, Noxa was the closest he had found and even so her DNA was not completely like his own, he still had no idea as to what exactly she was to be honest.
"I don't seem to be alone here." Namorel muttered to himself, as a soft sound resonated through the surroundings, peculiar enough however he had never heard a sound quite like it either. He rose to his feet, flying upwards some so that he could seek out the source of the sound. It was a calming tone, not like the cars and other machines he had to deal with in Satan City, no... this was something different and he liked it. IT didn't kill his ears when he listened to it. He would close his eyes to listen carefully, and if he heard it again he would take his opportunity to follow the sound, even of the faintest level of it, to the source.

As her first melody came to its end, Endivia exhaled. The fingers that had so elegantly strummed against the chords of her guitar fell to rest, relaxing as the tranquil echoes of her song dissipated into the air around her. Smiling slightly, she gave herself silent approval of her performance, but soon that smile turned to a frown.
“It’s not the same,” she uttered, palming the strings of Tohnari to silence its sultry whispers. Most definitely, the Saiyaness missed the days of performing for a live audience – the days of hearing the cheers of the people enthused by her melodies. But alas, no matter how often she dared to reminisce about the ‘good old days’, there were no changing the fact that she was currently isolated from her past. She would remain so, unless she found the drive again.
Hovering a few yards above the grassy landscape now, ‘Chicory’ uncrossed her legs and leaned back, dark eyes staring skyward as her tail of taupe drew irregular circles in the air. The clouds above were sparse, the sun warm, and the skies a canvas of richest blue. There was no denying the peace and quiet of this mysterious wilderness. Earth was a far cry from Vegeta, for sure. At least, not every stretch of wilderness was used for sparring or mock battles. That being said, it did dawn on her that her knowledge of ‘home’ was somewhat absent. How much had it changed, if at all?
She strummed:
“Forget the peace and quiet, ladies and gentlemen,” Endivia said to herself, almost as if addressing an invisible audience. Tohnari’s chords – now charged with her Ki as her fingers graced the steel – began to call out again. This time, their fury was unmistakably energetic: “It’s time I made some noise!”
A wild riff raging, a small gathering of Ostrich Chickens seemed to flee from the sudden and thunderous wails of the space-faring sensation’s signature instrument. Fingers working tirelessly, scratching and plucking and drumming the chords with unrelenting vigour, the ebon-haired enigma was now wrapped in the throes of musical ecstasy. There was no denial – the way her hair flickered and the pearlescent smile on her visage were all clear signs that she was enjoying herself. Music was what she lived for, and even such cacophonies as these were the epitome of her design…

Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
The sound didn't seem to repeat itself immediately, forcing Namorel to setimate the direction it had come in, he rose from the ground, around thirty feet, and launched his body at a moderate speed in the direction he had assumed the sound originated from. He was both curious and wary of the sond as it may have had a calming tune to ir previously, his most recent encounters with Terran devices had left him regretting his encounter with them. So he took his pace slowly, knowing that his hearing was on the line to some extent.
Then another tune rang once more from the same origin, this one however stung some... causing Namorel to recoil. "I despise my sense of hearing on this planet sometimes." He said to himself as he covered his ears the best he could, once more heading in the direction of the sound, curious and irritated at the source of it, knowing it could easily harm him as quickly as the sound could entrance him.

The roars and wails of a ‘Peal of Thunder’ continued, body and mind charged as she brought herself into a frenzy of finger-work. Endivia’s dark eyes were barely even focused on the surroundings, the colours of her world alive in an altogether different sense. There was no sound, save for the gruff howls of her music – the feel of her melody crackled through her like electricity. The Spinach Wastes were experiencing a storm, and its name was ‘Chicory’.
To the music her tail curled and flickered freely, expressing her carelessness for what was around her. Indeed, she had no idea as to who might have been watching or listening. She did not care. That was the beauty of it all, really, for never had she really been bothered by names and faces. That was one trait she maintained as a Saiyan – the pride and vanity – though it was shifted heavily in favour of her musical talent. As long as she played, she did not care, and such a factor rang true.
“Maybe I should consider an encore…?” Endivia asked herself as her song trailed off, her voice doing the same as she realised she was not entirely alone. Approaching at a steady speed through the skies of the plain, dark irises took in a silhouette of distinctly jade hue. Once more, she hushed Tohnari.
Then, she asked herself: “A Namekian on Earth…?”

Namorel Powerleve: 2,700
The sounds continued as Namorel knew he was driving closer, it was a tad painful for him to directly listen, offering him to instead tune the sound out some, only paying enough attention to follow the sound to its origin. However he couldn't lie that it was an enticing sound despite its volume and intensity. If it wasn't for his severyl acute hearing he would have sat back and listened to it more intently, but for now he could only wonder as to what was producing this sound that he was listening to, perhaps it was a machine or an animal because from his experience with humanoids, none made an sound like this on their own.
"Hello there, are you the one producing that sound?"
Namorel would yell forwards, seeing a figure in the air some ways off, he could not pick out nay particular race or gender, but he was sure it was the origin, asking to make sure. HE continued his flight forward, legitimately curious as to what could be making this tune that echoed through the grassland and possibly further.

Was it a Namekian?
To be perfectly frank, Endivia had never once seen a member of said race. If she had, then she’d probably not been paying attention for whatever reason – probably music. From her current position, it was actually quite hard to discern anything more than a vaguely emerald silhouette, but as she allowed Tohnari to fall to humble silence once more, the Saiyajin’s ears picked up on the floating fellow’s cries.
“Are you the one producing that sound?” What kind of a question is that…? Tilting her head ever so slightly, the guitarist could not help but show some signs of confusion. Had this man never heard of string instruments before? More importantly, why did he only consider her partner’s wild wailings as some form of ‘sound’? Had she been in a bad mood, she likely would have taken that as a very slight insult to her talents, but at the moment she was in a good mood. The thought had crossed her mind, but this one didn’t seem like a philistine – uneducated, perhaps.
“Yeah! I am!” she called back, raising one hand to the sky so that her motions were clearly visible. Then, in a sharp and graceful sweep, she brought her arm down. The ebony instrument roared a crescendo of anticipation, sparking slightly as some of the woman’s Ki slipped free.
“It’s called music,” she added, somewhat haughtily, and then asked: “Are you from Namek…?”

Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
IT took little time for Namorel to get an answer on his question, however it came in a manner that was less than direct in his opinion. As he drew closer he could make out more of the silhouette ahead of him, their vaguely human build was the most prominent feature he picked out before he saw the tail hanging from her back side. THis would be an obvious detail towards the race of whomever it was ahead of him.
"Interesting, music... that's a new concept."
Namorel said loud enough to be heard, but not really aiming the comment at anyone, as he didn't want to make it out like he was an idiot. Namek was devoid of greatly organized musical constructs. While tunes may exist if one got bored and hummed them they were never really named. This new concept came as both calming and painful at times. He saw the silhouette motion down on a device in its hands and a plethora of varying tunes came out together, the higher bits causing Namorel to flinch some.
"Namek... yes, I lived there for eighty years, until a little under a week ago."
Namorel replied to the question, one he had come accustomed to answering. He always answered with a longing tone, but did not let this side track the conversations at most times, instead hopping back into whatever mood he previously stood in.

So he is a Namekian, huh…? Now safe in the knowledge that the green-skinned stranger was as she thought, Chicory moved. Drifting through the air in an ever-so-slightly aggressive manner, the Saiyaness used her own power of flight to halve the distance between herself and the stranger from another world. Now, her dark eyes could get a better look at him – he certainly looked the part. Though she’d never met one, she was aware of some of the Namekian race’s traits, from their jade flesh to their hairlessness. This one in particular was nothing special, though she reserved any further judgment.
She had noticed something that she was a little displeased with.
“Hmph,” Endivia snuffled softly, turning her nose up somewhat. The Namekborn’s reaction to her quick crescendo had been taken note of, even if it was only subtle. He’d flinched, almost in pain – did he find her music distasteful? Her sense of pride seemed to step forward and take control for the briefest of moments, the concept of her art causing another to writhe in agony when it was not intended to do so being something of a trigger to her temperament.
Exhalation.
It’s no use getting worked up over something like that, Endivia, she told herself. Well aware of the fact that different people had different artistic tastes, she could not find it within herself to be aggressive over something as trivial as clashing opinions. That was far too barbarous – far too ‘Saiyajin’ for her liking. With a swish of her tail, she brushed her fringe from her eyes and poised her fingers upon the strings of her guitar. This time, she acted more gently, and plucked softly at each of the chords in a slow diminuendo.
Different strokes, she mused mindfully…

Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
Namorel took his time to reduce the distance between him and the female saiyan that floated in the air not too far from himself. The sound coming from her instrument was unlike any tune he had heard, sure some of the notes rang and made him flinch, as was the disadvantage of having such sensitive hearing, but the notes with in themselves reflected the soul of the person playing the instrument and Namorel could quickly tell this, examining each note in his mind over and over. He nodded as he thought, content with his solution as to what significant roles this 'music' may play here on Earth... or anywhere for that matter. He was unsure if he would ever have the potential as to learn to play any of the instruments... perhaps when he learned to adjust his levels of hearing and allow himself to hear those higher pitched notes.
"Is something wrong?"
Namorel quickly asked, worried that he may have upset this stranger before him. Perhaps he had said something, or the fact he was a namekian? He then shook this possibility off as unlikely due to her not retorting it, instead it must have been his reaction to a few of the notes when she rolled that octave from her instrument. He looked towards her with dismay, considering if and how he should apologize. He did not intend for his natural reaction to displease the individual. Resting his hand upon his ear and closing his eyes for a brief moment to concentrate, he would attempt to work out his hearing and try to accustom himself with these higher frequencies and notes, it would serve him justice here and in many other places as well.
"I apologize if my hearing has displeased you, one of your notes must have hit a threshold too high for my ears, thus putting me in a tiny bit of instantaneous pain. Aside from that it sounds nice."
As Namorel spoke this he heard her begin to play again, not quite the way she did before; instead going one at a time in a much slower tempo. The sounds were soothing, while also carrying their own unique weight to them... a weight Namorel had not heard in any other device, machine, or creature. A sound unto itself, and one that made the Namek smile, these notes and sounds were amazing, perhaps they would be worth the occasional pain that came with it. So he continued to listen to the notes the saiyan proceeded to unleash.
"My nae is Namorel, you?"
He would ask softly afterwards, keeping his ears trained on the instrument she carried with her, the one she played.

“My name is Namorel,” the Namekian stated after apologising: “You…?”
Ah, the conundrum. By which name would the Saiyaness introduce herself? Would she use her real name, or opt into the use of her stage name? It was a question she found herself asking too many times, and for what reason? Whenever people heard the name ‘Endivia’, they immediately recognised it as a Saiyajin name. And yet, whenever she branded herself as ‘Chicory’, those who knew the name recognised her for what she was anyway.
Hmm… Fortunately, the green-skin had informed her of a single fact of his existence that helped her to determine which answer to give. If he had only spent little more than a week on Planet Earth, then surely he knew not of the rising star that she had been? By that logic, it mattered not what answer she gave. So, she answered herself, why not both?
“Name’s Endivia,” the woman replied: “Also known as Chicory, so whichever you like.” Tohnari remained silent, its owner shifting the instrument so as to adjust the tuning. If the higher, sharper chords were a bit too much for the Namekian’s sensitive ears to handle, then she could soon fix that. Besides, Namorel was the only noticeable audience member she had right now, so it was worth shifting to his musical needs. It wasn’t exactly ideal, but having at least one new fan was a start to rekindling her career.
“I’ve never met a Namekian before,” Endivia added, “so why’d you come to Earth…?”

Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
As Namorel waited for the saiyaness to reply to him he examined the instrument in her hands still, wondering if similar, yet different devices such as this existed around the world. He was sure they must as music seemed to be an important part of the culture of these earthlings that the other races that happened to inhabit this planet with them. She seemed to be considering something before replying to Namorel. He considered the various things this saiyaness could be thinking about, but soon came to the realization that he did not know enough about her or her race to come to conclusive assumptions on this matter, instead going back to an idle wait on an answer. His wait was not one that would last too long however, for she would answer soon after, giving him two names he can cal her by, making him curious as to why she gave him that many, but decided to not comment on the matter, instead ignoring the matter and acknowledging her answer.
"It's mice to meet you."
Namorel replied formally, despite the informal nature of their interaction and current conversation he found the formality appropriate anyways. She then mentioned her never meeting a namekian such as himself, this however came as no surprise for it had been a comment stated by every other person he had met on this planet for the most part and he had become rather accustomed to the curiosity that these various encounters had played on him, and little to his surprise, the question that generally followed the previous statement came up, 'why did you come to Earth.' This was a question he was not a fan of answering himself, the memories it brought to him made it difficult to discuss, but it would be wrong of him to leave her without an answer.
"It's a long story really... I guess you could say I'm trying to escape my inner demons."
His answer was vague enough for him to feel comfortable speaking it, while also permitting an answer for Endivia.

Inner demons, huh? I guess you and I aren’t that different… Keeping her thoughts to herself, Chicory continued to patiently twiddle with her guitar’s tuning, tightening and loosening the chords as necessary. She too had fled from her homeland – Vegeta had nothing left for her, as far as she was concerned. The Saiyan race had yet to provide itself more than just a gathering of barbarians as a whole, and that obsession with strength was what had driven her away. She had sought something different. Did Namorel, having fled from his own planet, share a similar drive?
“And here I thought Namekians were supposed to be a peaceful race with no worries,” she uttered, dark hues looking to her acquaintance: “I know all about inner demons, though, you can believe me on that. I have my own which I’m learning to deal with. Though, fleeing from my home planet didn’t help me escape mine. That’s the thing about inner demons – they follow you wherever you go. They’ll keep whispering to you, until you learn to drown them out. And even then, they’re not gone. At least, that’s what I believe…”
Endivia, once more with feeling, began to pluck the strings:
Ascending somewhat higher into the sky, the Saiyaness could not help but let the energy within her let loose. The subtle crackling of Ki energy about Tohnari’s chords as she played was testament to the fibre of her being – music was practically bound to her DNA. She could feel it resonating through her as she performed; words echoed through her mind until they found themselves lyric. It was a vocalisation of the wayward woman’s own personal torments, hidden in rhyme and rhythm…

Namorel Powerlevel: 2,700
Endivia spoke, from what Namorel gathered she was in a similar position to him, hiding from something back on her home planet. This did make Namorel curious, what could possibly make her want to leave her home? Perhaps she was too different for her own people or something of a different matter. Namorel noticed immediately her mannerisms were different than that of the typical saiyan he had met, Mu-Kal giving off an instantaneous fighting spirit to him, Endivia on the other hand had more of a composer to a her form from what Namorel could tell. She did not seem like the kind to throw herself blindly into any combat if given the opportunity, she seemed to prefer her time in her instrument that she seemed to be tinkering with, what she was doing with it was anyone's guess to Namorel and made him wonder what it was she was doing.
"Namekians, such as myself, aren't always jus happy go lucky. We may not be war stricken or something to that effect, but we have our troubles."
Namorel replied on her comment on the life of the namekians, knowing full well himself that his life had only been peaceful so long as his father was alive. However he did continue to speak,
"As far as my demons go, perhaps some followed me; but I would say the regret of what you left in the hands of others is a bigger problem than the demons themselves."
He finished speaking as she began to play once more, this time however the tune was calmer and easier on his ears. The music itself carried a sort of expression he couldn't quite explain, taking him into a sort of semi-subtle trance he didn't wish to escape from. So he listened to the tune as he awaited her reply to what he had previously said, thinking back to his home on Namek as he waited.
