(Using Level 1 House)
Raisu Hanamura rose from his bed, blinking the telltale dust of sleep from his eyes. Vision blurring, his eyes swerved towards the little clock he kept on his bedside desk. The bright green numbers stared back at him, letting him know just what time of day it was. "Noon already?" Mumbled Raisu as he rubbed his eyes, "Overslept again."
Raisu swung his feet around in his bed and made to stand. As he rose, his head surged, a splitting headache erupting in the back of his head. A slight groan escaped his lips as they dull thud of pain worked its way through his mind. The young halfblood has drank too much again last night, as was commonplace lately. Stumbling towards his closet, Raisu cast it open and began to dress himself. Grey jeans with a black tank top. The basics, he thought. Slowly, Raisu pawed through the closet of his modest beachside home until he came upon his pink jacket, his one constant companion in this world. He held it up and before him and stared at it for a few moments. A small nostalgic smile grew on his face. He loved this jacket. It had been a gift and he'd worn it all across the world. Sure, it was a little garish and more than a little beaten now, but damn, it was a part of him. Quickly, he slipped it on and left the bedroom, shutting the door tight behind him.
As he walked down the hallway on his house, Raisu paused a moment as he came to a steel door. The gravity chamber, he thought suddenly, he hadn't used that in, what? Nearly a year at this point. To think, he'd used to go into that chamber day in and day out, pushing his body to extreme lengths. What level of gravity had he reached? Just about a hundred times Earth's gravity. And for what? Pushing himself to become a Super Saiyan, of course. Like he could do that. Raisu had never reached that golden power, but he sure did get a lot stronger in his pursuit of that distant aura. Most people didn't come close. Of course, it did not matter when everyone and their mother was able to summon enormous power by turning golden or into monsters at the drop of a hat.
That was why he'd stopped really training and fight, wasn't it? Sure, he'd kept up and maintained his power and form. Maintaining was easy. Raisu was not so stupid or lazy as to let all his hard work slip away, but after a certain point, Raisu had given up on going further. Why bother? The Earth that he loved so much was fine, with no shortage of guardians. All Raisu had been doing was killing himself to try and do something that didn't need doing. There was no shortage of good natured and powerful people, that was for sure.
Raisu finally stepped outside, his bare feet pounding against the wood of his desk. Quickly, he stepped down into the sand of the nearby beach and wiggled his toes. Now that was one of his favorite feelings in the world. Raisu loved it, near as much as he'd loved that battle-lust that often came alive in him when the Saiyan blood in his veins was alight during a fight. But his time for that had passed. A lot of time had passed. Gently, Raisu set himself down in the sand and stared out at the ocean. The ocean was a lovely sight, it truly was. Raisu had grown up in the southern tropics. It was his home, the one he had trained so hard to predict. Ever since a year ago when the imperial Saiyans had invaded, Raisu had decided to get stronger. He'd met some truly powerful people, but he thought that maybe, just maybe, he could surpass them. "Fat chance of that," muttered Raisu. So, he'd decided to live a normal life. He took care of his tea shop, he took girls on dates. If one did not see the tail sprouting from his back or feel the immense power resting within him, the young hybrid was perfectly normal. And normalcy worked just fine by him. No more strange creatures burning down villages in front of him and drinking people, no more mad scientists slaughtering people. No more fighting, nothing.
Raisu missed it sometimes, though. He missed the thrill, the people. Damn, he thought, the people. Raisu made a lot of friends on the road: Cornatto, Defrosch, Treylech, Ichiba, and so on... And then there was the sights. The most breathtaking thing that Raisu had ever seen was that mystical dragon rising from the top of that lookout and suddenly the world had been made right again. There was true magic in this world, and Raisu had bared witness. But that was in the past. But what was in his future? Normalcy, he thought. But could he really be so sure?
Who knew what fate had around the corner?

[ Thread Power Level: 147.283] [ Suppressed Power Level: 3.000] It had been a while since Cornatto had been in the Southern region of Earth; one that he particularly preferred for the weather, it was welcoming and reminded him of a few people he met there-- like that former Saiyan general! The two were quite different, and both of them shared a different homeworld and experiences. If he had, to be honest, the fellow Saiyan had gone through much more compared to what the Earthling Saiyan did. But that’s what made life unique after all; everyone was different, and he sure met tons of them.
The man had been flying about the Southern Islands, taking a look down every now and then as his eyes gracefully set upon the magnificent view the tropics offered him. The water seemed to be made out of crystals for how shiny it looked, not to mention each of the small islands that sure made for a place where anyone could just take a seat and relax.
“Isn’t this… the place where I met that guy-- Uh, what was his name again? Barrel? Bundryl?” - he thought to himself, frowning down as he couldn’t come up with the exact name of the person but Cornatto did remember that he was supposedly the leader of the Galactic Patrol. And that brought him way back as he thought of all the people he met; Gnash, Kaito, Belle and a few more that he couldn’t exactly remember that well but all of them were exceptional people.
What made them unique was the fact that everyone was strong!-- Belle was a little bit weaker compared to the others, but she could surely make for a good spar, not to mention the fact that both Cornatto and Gnash were aliens. Even if, meeting Kaito was a delightful experience, he had never expected to meet a human that strong after all.
That brought him to the conclusion that everyone could become powerful if they tried hard enough. People spoke of limits, but he didn’t believe in any of that bullcrap, in his opinion, a limit was just a little obstacle that one had to work hard for before one could move beyond that limit.
The Earthling Saiyan himself felt like he had to surpass his limiter, either that or break it-- he wasn’t half sure of how he could do that, especially if you considered that the man had not been training in a manner that he'd find intense lately.-- Although, he didn't stop, but he felt like he could do more than that. He had been spending most of his time in the attempt to make that old house of his in the Eastern look shiny after the man had felt like returning to his origins. It wasn’t that good of a place at all; it had become old and dusty, and he had even attempted what Earthlings defined ‘farming,' even if it was quite boring-- and he wasn’t that good at it, not at all.
“I’d probably check out if I can find some book about farming or something like that--” - he mumbled under his breath, stopping dead in his tracks as he floated in mid-air for a moment or two as he glanced around. He felt a familiar Ki in the whereabouts, one he had not felt in a long time-- and it didn’t take long for him to crack a grin. “Could it be?...” - he muttered. He couldn’t tell for sure if it was him, but there was obviously only one way to find out.
A ghostly white aura flared around him, flying away at high speed but it didn’t take long for his eyes to catch a glimpse of a beach, and his senses to pinpoint the location of the Ki signature. And there, the Earthling Saiyan made his way to the ground as he descended, his boots firmly placed against the ground as the sun hit his strong persona. His eyes set on the fellow man who was sitting down, there was no mistake; it was easy to tell just by looking at his pink jacket. It was Raisu Hanamura, one of his first acquaintances and friends.
He let a smile crack on his face, walking closer as greeted him. "Yo! Long time no see."

It was not long before Raisu Hanamura felt a familiar force approaching. Speak of the devil, thought the halfblood... Though the power seemed a lot smaller than Raisu remembered, more akin to what it had been like during their first meeting, Raisu could most definitely recognize the ki signature of one Cornatto. And the Earthling Saiyan was fast approaching Raisu's location. Raisu looked up and towards the direction of where Cornatto was coming from and it was not long before the Saiyan burst on the scene, a mere silhouette against the rays of the afternoon sun.
As the man floated down towards the earth, Raisu rose from his seat, dusting the fine grains of sand from his pants. A broad smile broke out over his face and Raisu raised a single hand in greeting as the Saiyan spoke. Raisu advanced towards the fighter, moving briskly and kicking sand up any which way with his steps. Yes, he thought as he got a good look at his visitor. That was definitely Cornatto. Though he must be surpressing his ki, noted the halfblood, unless the young man had undergone some kind of rapid power drop in the past few months since he and Raisu had last met.
As Raisu finally closed the gap, he offered the other Saiyan a small bow and a wide grin. As he came up, Raisu ran a hand through crimson hair and a soft chuckle escaped his lips. "Hey!" Exclaimed Raisu, "It's been a while!"
That was the understatement of the year. Hell, thought Raisu, it had practically been a year since he last saw Cornatto. Or any of his old super-powered friends. But it really was good to see a friendly face. The last time Raisu had seen him, if he remembered rightly, they'd had a bit of a brawl. Because what else did Saiyans do? It was the best way they knew.
"So," continued Raisu, "What brings you out to my neck of the woods? Or, er, beach?"
Raisu eyed up his friend once again as he waited for an answer. Had the Saiyan been keeping up with his training? It was hard to tell with that suppression of his. Just where did Cornatto learn that? The last time Raisu had spoken to him, the man hadn't even been able to sense ki. No, Raisu had taught him that. Clearly, the man had a few new tricks up his sleeve.

The Earthling Saiyan’s eyes set on the figure who was previously sitting down as the pink-haired man rose from his seat, and it was easy to tell how neither of them had particularly changed physically; they looked more or less the same as the last time they met. However, he could tell something was different within Raisu. He was stronger-- on a higher level than the last time they met; he couldn’t help but feel he had probably trained like hell. Or so he thought, even if he couldn’t accurately pinpoint the power he felt a while back. However, it was not so difficult to realize how powerful he was, compared to the fellow Saiyan.
Cornatto himself had gone through quite a lot of training; and such gave him the occasion to meet people like Raisu, Gnash and the rest of the Galactic Patrol’s members. Every single of them was unique in their ways, and even if they didn’t get that much of a chance to work together, he felt like he could trust them all-- especially the Namekian, Gnash. The two had met in rather bizarre circumstances, just like most of the people he had become friends with, he had seemingly met them out of nowhere.
Not to mention other people like the Saiyaness Tomare and so on-- people that the man acknowledged and respected, and Raisu was one of them. He could never forget the day they met in the snowy highlands; it was quite random too in a manner of speaking but also what Cornatto considered to be the beginning of a little but motivating rivalry towards the pink haired hybrid. Those feelings had initially pushed him to train harder, but at the same time, the gap between the two had begun to frustrate the man, until he began to see Raisu more as a friend than a rival overall.
From there, the two parted ways-- and it was a surprise for the Saiyan to meet the pink haired Hybrid after so long, he didn’t think that he’d have had the chance to see that pink jacket of his again, it had been a while after all.
Cornatto watched him coming closer, letting out a chuckle as he returned his gesture with a bow of his head, placing his hands on his hips as his gaze set on the pink-haired man with a soft grin on his face. “For real. It’s quite a coincidence. I'll be honest-- I didn't expect to meet you here.” - he said.
Someone could argue saying that anyone who had met Raisu could have naturally picked up on his signature, but the reason Cornatto had been wandering in the whereabouts had nothing to do with Raisu Hanamura.
“Well, you see… I’ve been trying growing up some plants at home, without too much of a result so I thought I’d get a little break. What about you?” - he replied, looking up and down at the Hybrid as the Earthling Saiyan seemed to be analyzing him, and he was. He was half-surprised to see him still wearing that old jacket-- just like he was still wearing his old Earthling attire.
“I’m not sure whether you’re suppressing your energy or not, but you’re sure stronger than the last time we met.” - he said, his grin growing wider across his face as he stared at him.

A coincidence? Raisu would take it. He did not expect any of his old friends to visit him. After all, he'd met most of them on the road. Only a handful of them actually knew where his home was. Defrosch, Ichiba, and, of course, Treylech. Trey had actually lived in his home for a while. Now there was someone he really missed. The red-haired hybrid spared a moment's thought: just what had happened to his wayward friend?
Though, there would be time to dwell on that later. Right now, he had a more immediate thought: the guest that had visited him. Raisu grinned wide at Cornatto. "It seems most of our meetings are coincidences, right?" Chuckled the hybrid, "Heh, you even wandered into my tea shop by accident that one time. Strange how this always happens."
Not that he minded. Cornatto was one of the more pleasant re-occuring encounters Raisu had had. More so than some, though he tried to push those far from his mind. Compared to them, Cornatto was among the more amiable people he'd met in his travels. Though, of course, there was the matter that the Saiyan had given Raisu a false name. Goizen, as Raisu recalled.
Cornatto was growing plants? What kind, Raisu wondered, maize, perhaps? Not that it mattered, if he was not finding much in the way of success. "Taking up farming, huh?" Asked Raisu, "You settling down or something?"
The Saiyan also asked what Raisu had been up to. Raisu shrugged and rubbed the back of his head. "Well, um," he muttered, "Nothing much. Taking care of the shop, hanging out, you know. Normal stuff. Started swimming more, actually. When you live on the beach, you don't have much of an excuse not to."
Raisu danced around the idea of training and fighting, though it was not far from his mind and he doubted it was far from the mind of his pure-blooded buddy. But the topic of power is never far away. Cornatto mentioned his power and Raisu nodded. "Yeah," he said, "I'm a bit stronger, though I've kind of, sort of, stopped really training for the past- oh- ten months or so."
And there it was. The truth was out.

The Earthling Saiyan had, to be honest, it was sure surprising how significantly the Hybrid would keep improving and his power rising-- it was almost beyond his imagination. If he had to look at it from his point of view, Raisu had surpassed his limiter, and he was entirely sure that the pink-haired man could become even stronger than that. He was probably an exceptional case among the people he had met that far-- some of them were amazing, but Raisu could always manage to surprise him, no matter how.
The man chuckled in return to his statement, and it was true. The two had met each other by coincidence-- all the time, even that one time in the tea shop; that day Cornatto was just taking a stroll around, after all, he didn’t have the slightest idea that he would have met the pink-haired Hybrid. “Yeah, you’re right. Hah, that’s quite funny, isn’t it? It’s almost like that’s how we’re supposed to meet-- or that’s what we did so far at least.” - he replied, his hands lifting his hips all the way up his chest as he folded them.
Cornatto nodded, he was indeed settling down-- or sort of, he was still going to live where his parents raised him. What convinced him actually to settle down was his experience in the snowy highlands with the Saiyaness Tomare; having a home was quite comfortable-- he couldn’t deny it. “Yeah, more or less. I’m not trying to do anything huge but what I can do to have a living-- or anything I can use to flavor a steak.” - he said, cracking a soft grin on his face.
Then, Raisu talked of how he had been living a pretty typical earthling routine, which was pretty much fine with Cornatto. He knew some activities could be fun, even if he didn’t do any of that-- or at least not that often. However, the man said something that somewhat surprised him; Raisu had not been training for ten months. To that, the Earthling Saiyan just deadpanned. The man himself had not gone through some extreme training, but he always tried his best every day no matter what.
“...O-oh. I see. Err, I guess you have your reasons. I mean, I haven’t gone through anything intense lately. But I think I might start using that gravity chamber on my ship… hopefully, it might serve a purpose-- I haven’t used it that much after all.”

Funny indeed, thought Raisu. It was almost as if there were forces beyond their control, pre-determining their meetings. If that were the case, thank whatever forces that be that Cornatto was pleasant enough. Their meetings had always been good, and they had never parted on bad terms. Of all the people that Raisu had met on the road, Cornatto had always been the most amiable. Except for maybe Chaz and Ibby. What in the hell had happened to those two? Raisu missed them! In some ways, they reminded Raisu of Cornatto: good natured for certain, with a certain drive about their character that Raisu admired.
So, the Saiyan was settling down a little bit after all. Raisu nodded. Good for Cornatto, he thought, so long as it made him happy. "Well, there you go," said Raisu with a grin, "I wish you luck with that. I don't think I've got the patience to grow much." Though he had been considering taking up growing a tea bush. It would be nice to grow his own, though Raisu did have a whole damn shop at his disposal.
The expression on Cornatto's face all but confirmed what Raisu was thinking: the lack of training had surprised him. Raisu grinned sheepishly, and dug the heel of his foot into the ground. It was surprising, he had to admit. Anyone who knew him back then would have been surprised to hear it. Especially his more... ferocious friends.
"Gravity chamber, huh?" Said Raisu, "I've got one of those. I used to use it all the time. Got up to something like, uh, a hundred times the planet's gravity? It's some intense stuff, man. Though, yeah, I don't do that anymore..."
Raisu trailed off and turned his eyes skyward. Should he explain? Did Cornatto care that much? Raisu felt as if he should offer some explanation to the man. Raisu pursed his lips and brought his eyes slightly down from the sky to look at the taller Saiyan. "I just- Like, Cornatto... What's the point?" He said with an exasperated sigh and a shake of his head. That was the crux of matter: what was the point?
"I mean," he continued, "It's like, I tried really, really hard. But I've just come to realize: I can't keep up with some of the people out there. There are people out there who can turn into golden warriors and monsters, and me? Compared to them, I'm small-time. Earth has plenty of people to protect it, I'd just be getting in the way. Why try when you can't ever hope to compete?"

The Earthling Saiyan was surprised that Raisu-- out of them all, would have put a halt to his train. He couldn’t exactly tell why; it was indeed true that Raisu was more of an Earthling than a Saiyan, one could probably tell from his attire after all. He could understand that he didn’t have the patience to try his hand at farming, he didn’t like it that much himself, but training was much more productive than growing up plants! Perhaps it didn’t matter how much one would progress, but his ambition but Raisu had Saiyan blood! How could he just stop like that?
Perhaps the man had encountered what Cornatto supposed to be his limiter? The entire limiter thing was just a thing he came up with-- sort of a theory, which he didn’t think of as a set limit but something that would keep adjusting as one would keep progressing. No, it couldn’t be. Raisu wasn’t certainly the one to give up that easily, he even admitted of how hard he trained in the gravity chamber-- one hundred times was certainly much more than his forty times.
“A hundred times?! That’s impressive. I think I got to something like forty or so. I’d probably give it a try then!” - he exclaimed, a small hint of excitement behind his words; that same feeling he carried on his shoulders as he progressed and improved his abilities. But, he didn’t see that same excitement through Raisu’s eyes-- no, his orbs reflected a different emotion. And to that, the man just stared at him, listening to his words attentively.
However, he couldn’t deny it; the pink-haired man was irritating him with his speech. Sure, golden warriors and monsters could be a huge deal, but being able to turn into a ‘legendary fairy tale’ that a bunch of monkeys used to speak of around a fire camp didn’t make someone invincible. He experienced it against Mayze, who was leaps stronger than him, and even after turning into a Super Saiyan himself, there was still a noticeable gap between the two.
His features hardened as his sharp stare set upon the Hybrid, giving him a severe look. “Why are you underestimating yourself, Raisu?” - he spoke up, letting out a soft exhale as his arms fell to his hips. “There were plenty of people to defend Earth even back then, during the Saiyan invasion, yet… we both know what happened to your city. Why try? You’ve always tried for the sake of other people-- something I didn’t understand until some time ago. And now you’re just giving up because of a few Saiyans with golden hair?”

Forty times gravity, thought Raisu. Not bad. It was a lot more than most people could manage, and it had taken Raisu himself a while to get there. It seemed Cornatto was moving up in the world, making real strides. The man had come a long way since their first meeting, if what he said was true. It was at this moment that Raisu wondered just how strong Cornatto had become. The power he felt within Cornatto at the moment did not feel right, not for all that he knew about the Saiyan.
Raisu felt an intense burn of shame light up his cheeks as the Saiyan glared at him, a hard, judging look on his face. Why was Raisu underestimating himself? Raisu thought he was judging himself perfectly. Raisu knew his power better than anyone; he knew what he was capable of, and fighting with or against the titans of the world was just not in the cards for him.
Cornatto spoke of the Saiyan invasion, of the invasion of his home town: the South Capitol. That was the core of it, wasn't it? His childhood home invaded, his family displaced, and what had Raisu been able to do? Nothing at all. There'd been some real monsters there. Hell, he had met one of those monsters a few weeks after and fought him, though Raisu had been utterly outclassed. So, Raisu had tried to get stronger. He really, really tried. His best even, chasing after power in an attempt to get stronger so that he might never see his home attacked again. Hell, Raisu thought, he had even wanted revenge. In a blind fury, he'd chased a golden aura in the name of vengeance, of power.
But an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind.
And Raisu had gone blind. The young hybrid had actually thought he could fight on the same level as Super Saiyans and their ilk. It had taken so much for him to finally open his eyes and realize he was throwing himself at an unmovable wall over and over again, leading himself off a cliff like some kind of lemming chasing another for no reason. Raisu had not given up because of a few Super Saiyans; he has given up because the world at large was pushing back.
"Cornatto," he muttered, his voice still low and creaking with embarrassment, "I... Look, I tried so hard. So damn hard. And hell, maybe I am really strong by most standards, but no matter how much I train, I can't keep up with even the weakest of some of these Super Saiyans or Arcosian monsters. I thought if I trained hard enough, I could rise above, maybe become a Super Saiyan myself, but after getting down to it, I realized: I don't have it in mean. No matter how hard I train, no matter how much pain I put myself through, the power I need to actually protect is unobtainable! I felt like a dog chasing my own tail!"
With a sigh, Raisu shook his head once again. His eyes stung, just a little, and his tail twitched nervously behind him. "Look Cornatto, I'm not as strong as you think I am," he said sadly, "I think you overestimate me. I'm not cut from the same cloth as a Super Saiyan."

It was easy to tell that Raisu didn’t feel comfortable at all, the look on his face was enough for the Earthling Saiyan to tell. It seemed that his glare had indeed reached the hybrid, even if that was barely what Cornatto had intended to do-- what interested him were the reasons of his new ‘mindset’ of some sorts. It didn’t feel right to him; back then, it was that same hybrid’s power that seemed unreachable to him, but it was thanks to him if he had managed to grow up.
His sharp eyes were still set upon the pink-haired man, not saying a word as he let Raisu speak. His voice was low; it seemed that the Earthling Saiyan had pressed some button within the man-- he didn’t intend to be that rigid with him, but he cared for his friend and wanted to help him, he couldn’t help it. He let the hybrid go on with his speech, listening to him quietly.
And no matter how hard he thought about it, he couldn’t understand his reasons, nor did he comprehend his point of view. What was so special about Super Saiyans and Arcosian monsters? He had never experienced an Arcosian’s power, but he could assume that Raisu did. But he knew that the golden warriors could muster up quite an enormous amount of power, but it wasn’t a reason for him to just stand aside and watch.
The man didn’t even know if it was effectively possible to achieve the power of the Super Saiyan through training; it did, in a certain way, but it didn’t bring a Saiyan to turn into the legendary golden warrior. “Listen, Raisu.” - the man let out a sigh, his expression softening a bit as he stared at Raisu blankly.
“I’m not sure how you intended to become a Super Saiyan by training… I don’t think it happens like that. However, there’s one thing I’m sure of; you won’t achieve anything if you stop training. I’m not saying you’d keep trying to turn into a Super Saiyan-- it might be worse that way. But, you’d never stop training, no matter what. Since the time I felt your power for the first time, I’ve always believed that you were a natural talent, and I still do.” - he said, hoping that the words would reach his friend.
However, the Earthling Saiyan knew something much better than a speech that would surely kick some sense in the hybrid’s head; and by pure coincidence, it was fighting. “Hm… I think I know what you need! How about I make you face a Super Saiyan? Are you up for it?”

Cornatto kept his black Saiyan eyes trained on Raisu the entire time. The gaze felt stern, like that of a disappointed father. Though, it was not as if Raisu would know what that felt like; the young halfblood had never known his father. He'd intended to go after the man with an old friend of the family, Cerith, but that fell through after Raisu had given up training near on a year ago now. Disappointing, really, but what was the point in finding a man who did not care for him at all?
And as the man said his name once more, Raisu flinched. What was coming now? A speech? Some sort of: 'I'm disappointed in you'? Well, Raisu was right about the speech part. The Saiyan spoke on the Super Saiyan transformation, on how he had considered Raisu some sort of natural talent. Raisu had to resist from rolling his eyes. Natural talent? Hardly. Raisu just threw himself at walls over and over again until they gave way beneath the weigh of his repeated efforts. But this time? Raisu had met an unmovable object. Sometimes raw effort was not enough.
Cornatto's words on the Super Saiyan, though, made Raisu's eyes go wide. It did not happen through training? Then how did it happen? How did something like this come about without reaping the fruits of intense labor? Raisu had spent a long damn time cultivating his garden so that the seeds of his effort might sprout into a golden transformation, but if what Cornatto said was true, it was not something you could grow. Then what? The way it sounded, it was like the Super Saiyan transformation sprouted from nowhere, like a weed.
But Cornatto had a point, even if Raisu hated to admit it: he would achieve nothing if he just gave up. But at this point, did it really matter? Raisu had given up and things seemed to be working out just fine. Last he checked, the Earth hadn't exploded because he gave up. It all seemed fine to him. But Cornatto was not done; he would make Raisu face a Super Saiyan. The slightest ghost of a frown crossed his face. Raisu had already faced a Super Saiyan: he had received a beating and lecture from his fellow hybrid, Articho. The word 'no' floated on the tip of his tongue, but he hesitated. Maybe Cornatto had a point...
"Alright," said Raisu with a sigh, "I'll face a Super Saiyan. Though I don't know if I can learn much at all."

He couldn’t exactly tell how much Raisu would be up for a fight against a Super Saiyan, he didn’t seem too enthusiastic about it but Cornatto actually hoped to get something out of that; he wasn’t that good with words at times and so, he thought that he could go for with something that he was actually good with. The pink-haired man hesitated for a moment, but it didn’t take long for him to reply-- and thankfully it seemed that he was up for it. Now, the thing was that he should have probably specified who was the Super Saiyan, but whatever. Not like it’d have made much of a difference.
The Earthling Saiyan cracked a soft, but encouraging smile and gave a firm nod. He couldn’t tell if it was going to work, but it was worth a shot. Not like he had any other choice after all. “Well, I guess it’s worth a shot. And maybe, even from just trying, you can learn something. At times what matters is standing up and trying after all.” - he said, taking a few steps back as he set a little distance between the two.
“This should do fine.” - he muttered under his breath as his head lowered, frowning down. It was difficult for him to turn into a Super Saiyan at first, but he got the hang of it more or less after a while. It was just like the first time; trying to grasp that power and making it his own, even if it wasn’t that easy. It was also a state of mind, in which raw emotions flew through the Saiyan and in an uncontrollable manner.

He nodded to himself, his fists clenching as his power level began to rise, his teeth clenched harshly, the sound almost loud enough for Raisu to hear. The sea was raging, the ground shaking and debris lifting all around the Earthling Saiyan. It was almost as if he was simply powering up, but there was more to it; his power level was insanely raising-- without any sort of limit. From deep within his chest, a primal growl started to vibrate with echoing intensity, soon enough reaching a roaring crescendo as a golden aura flared around his body.
His pupils turned green, unleashing a loud roar as his hair turned golden and wild in appearance. The Earthling Saiyan’s eyes slowly lifting up to meet the Hybrid’s gaze.

“Let’s begin,” - said Cornatto, staring at Raisu.

All that mattered was standing up and trying? Raisu was not so sure about that. Trying went a long way, but at the end of the day, it was all about results. The Saiyan could speak all he wanted about effort, but Raisu knew well enough that there was a lot more too it.
But Raisu could at least humor the taller Saiyan. Raisu looked at him expectantly, and raised an eyebrow in surprise as the man's power rose to great heights. Damn, thought Raisu, so Cornatto had improved and considerably so. This man was not the same one he had met more than a year ago. This Cornatto was of a truly different caliber.
Slowly, the world began to shift around them. Raisu's body tensed up as he felt the power jump. The sea raged near them, waves and water jumping and shifting in the ocean. The ground around him shook and debris lifted off the ground, the sheer intensity of the unfolding energy affecting the environment around them. Raisu's mouth went slightly agape. Damn, thought Raisu, this power was something else. As black hair and eyes shifted to gold and green, Cornatto's energy was transformed. And then, Cornatto turned his gaze on Raisu once again. This energy was massive, and it was now that Raisu realized Cornatto had truly surpassed him in every way. How the tables had turned.
It was time to begin.
Raisu's heart began to beat like mad, sweat starting to form at his brow. This feeling... Was it fear? The growing shaking in his chest, the tremble, it all felt so familiar. Then Raisu knew: his Saiyan blood was coming alive. It was time for a fight. And even though Raisu knew what was coming, his body still demanded he fight. The Saiyan tail that sprouted from his back twitched with anticipation. Slowly, Raisu shifted to a fighting pose, fists held before him.
"Let's go," grunted Raisu. This was it. This would be the first fight he had in so long, and against a Super Saiyan too. Raisu had given up after the last fight like this, but if Cornatto wanted to go... Well, Raisu would not disappoint him.
Shifting in place, Raisu jumped back and into the air. As he went, he swiped his hand through the air, using his mastery of telekinesis to send a shower of sand careening towards the Saiyans face. With the other hand, he brought it up quickly and fired a dull yellow ki blast at his foe. Not that he expected to work, but he had to try something.

It had been so long since the Earthling Saiyan had faced the Hybrid. However, he’d have probably expected that the two would have fought-- that’s what happens between Saiyans most of the time. More or less, considering Raisu was more of an Earthling than a Saiyan, but he was well aware that Raisu possessed the very same blood. It was a unique feeling, one that wasn't as simple to experience in any other situation if not in combat.
Cornatto had experienced it since he was a child, it was difficult to believe how much the Earthling Saiyan had changed-- as a child, he was rather rebellious and silent for the most part. However, fighting had always been something that excited him, no matter what. He had sure hoped that he’d have had the chance to fight the Hybrid again, even if this one time the man aimed to push his spirits up.
He didn’t know how Raisu felt about it, but he was ready to do anything for his friend. Even give him a good beating if that was what he needed, but a spar would have been more than enough.
The pink-haired hybrid assumed a fighting stance, and the Earthling Saiyan did the same; he spread his legs a bit, with his knees just bent a little. He clenched his right hand, placing the arm tightly close to the body, with his elbow bent at a 90° angle, with his left hand half-clenched aside from the index and the middle finger that were bent, the hand placed close to his mouth.
Raisu made the first move, actually impressing Cornatto as he ‘tossed’ or so he thought, sand towards his face. To which, he couldn’t do much but cover it with his arm, his eyes closed before his senses were shocked-- literally, by a stinging sensation. He had followed with a ki blast, a brilliant move. Even if there was quite a difference between the two’s powers, as a matter of fact, the sensation faded shortly after, but he hoped that he could achieve the same result as Raisu did with the man more than a year ago.
The man’s arm fell to his hips once more, staring at the Hybrid as he spoke up. “It’s been a while since the last time we fought. Hit me with all you’ve got.” - he said, charging at him in the attempt to throw a haymaker at his face.

Raisu, for the first time in a long time, smirked. The Saiyan blood in his veins was flowing now, as reluctant as he had been mere moments ago. His ki blast had collided with the other Saiyan, exploding with power as it made contact. Not that it did much. No, Raisu had not expected it to do anything. Cornatto seemed entirely unfazed. In fact, it seemed like he was just now getting revved up. Hit him with all Raisu had? That was the plan, but would could Raisu really do?
The man charged him and Raisu could not help but blink. The man was so... fast! This was the speed of a Super Saiyan! Raisu could barely flinch in time as the first approached his face. He could not make a defense, no! The hybrid could not even make an attempt to begin to defend. The fist collided with his face, rocking his world. Lights exploded in his head, and the world shifted around him. Raisu flew backwards from the sheer force of the blow and quickly lost height as he was forced to descend by the blow, his body slamming into the ground and bits of sand and tiny stones flying up either which way. As he slowed to a stop, Raisu pushed off the ground and forced himself to a standing position. Raisu held his fists before, still slightly dazed.
So, he thought, this was the power of a Super Saiyan. This is what he was missing out on. Cornatto had shrunk the difference between them and overtaken him completely! "I guess the tables have been turned," called out Raisu, huffing already. What now? Well, thought Raisu, he would have to do what he always did: throw himself at his problems!
Raisu grunted and charged Cornatto, arms pumping up and down as he sprinted across the sands, closing the distance as quickly as he could. And as he approached, he jumped, aiming to get over Cornatto. And were he successful, he would attempt to plant a kick in Cornatto's head as he passed over him!
